Coming back to YCM Roleplay with a generic fantasy RP.

 

And thus, the book ends.

 

Long ago, a mighty battle stood between two foes. Their names change from generation to generation as the story is told; our history cannot be trusted. The only thing we can know for sure is the aftermath of that battle, as it stands to our day.

 

They met in the fields of Lethn, near a small town whose name has been lost to the ages. We believe that one of them was born in that town; I have heard many different tales. Sometimes, they were brothers, or sisters; sometimes they had never met before. They fought with all their might, sometimes to protect their homeland - sometimes to lay siege to it. In the end, one of them released an unprecedented magic - and our world was changed forever. Spreading in waves from their site of battle, unrestrained magic corrupted the land around it. Anything the waves touched, may it be ground, water or flesh, froze and turned to crystal. The town was ruined, and a nearby river was dammed up entirely. Even today, after so many centuries have passed, we still learn of the aftermath of that battle.

 

The affected field stretches for miles and miles, and all of nature has succumbed to it. Known as "the Still Lands" The entire land is flat, except for the center; there, a pillar reaching towards the skies and beyond them stands tall. Made of the same crystal that scourged the world, the pillar has been named "The Crystal Nexus" and is thought to hold the source of the magic itself - and the key to undoing it. Many have ventured to the pillar, and the many tunnels that run through it, but none have returned. It is said that on clear nights, when the wind blows your way, you can hear them screaming - trapped within the Crystal Nexus until the day it falls.

 

You are a resident in the village of Bargheim, built on the eastern border of the Still Lands. Bargheim often acts as the "last stop" for adventurers and other heroes whose paths take them to the Crystal Nexus, where they seek to free the lands from their peril.

Noteworthy information

The Crystal Nexus has only human residents. No elves, no dwarves, no eldritch abominations from the Great Beyond - at least not on the players' side...

The Crystal Nexus has not yet invented gunpowder - firearms do not exist and are thus not allowed.

• Your character does not possess any magical power that he or she can control or is aware of. Had they done so, they would be executed - because of the battle that created the Still Lands, a complete ban on magic has been placed by the Black Crusaders, keepers of the land.

Good to see you back here.

 

Name: Xeonil Relguim.

Gender: Male

Appearance: Xeonil is of a build of which is fairly slight muscularity, with a height equal to a normal sized door, roughly. His eyes and hair complement each other greatly, as they stand each other out, hair as white as snow, and eyes as black as the midnight sky. He has a few distinct features as well, including his burn mark over his eye from an accident as a little kid, along with a strange mark from since he can remember.

 

Clothing: He usually wears boots as he goods to the woods a lot for his few professions he has, reaching up to his knees. He his trousers are usually dark colored, with a few rips at the knees. His shirt is short and of white, or mainly, light colors, covered in a long shirt of which is black. He wears a necklace and a ring as a reminder of his family.

 

Personality: Xeonil is usually nice to many people, unless they are well known for 'evil' deeds, in which case, he responds to them in a vile tone. But mostly, he is quite nice, and if he were to turn down an offer from someone he knew, it would 'tarnish' the family name of Relguim.

 

Biography: Xeonil was founded as an infant in the Still Lands, with a strange mark on his head, although not entirely noticable, compared to his burn mark. He was usually picked on for mainly having a burn mark on him, but also for having the mark on his head. As a result, he fought back against these people, and eventually, they left him alone. He was foretold in a prophecy, but his name was not mentioned, he also remembers a falling star in his mind blanks, where he stares off to space. He constantly has dreams and nightmares about the Still Lands. He thought he should tell one of the higher members of Bargheim, but now he is not so sure, as it was probably related to magic or witchcraft, the apparent evil of this land.

When he was founded as an infant, he was taken into the Relguim family. He had no siblings, so he was an only child by default. Soon after his family took him in, his house burned down from a major accident, killing his mother and father. He escaped the fire, but burned the right side of his face for good. He saw the necklace and ring of his parents surviving the flames, so he took those items, and wore them in honor of his parents.

 

Profession: He works for different professions, in the morning till noon, he works as a teacher for the kids, and during the afternoon, as a bartender for the people at the local pub.

Name: Cyrus Gutberg

 

Gender: Male

 

Appearance: Cyrus has a slim build, he's thin and has somewhat strong arms. His height is that of a regular man. Cyrus has short, clear white hair and red eyes. His skin is very pale, and the area around his eyes are somehwat red colored. He also have a small nose. (Yes, he's an albino)

 

Clothing: Cyrus wears a regular smith's clothings (I dunno what it is called, but I hope you understand what I mean) but when he travels outside, which he rarely does, he clothes in black clothings, with gloves, boots, a scarf to cover most of his face as well as a black tuque to guard his skin from the sunlight.

 

Personality: Cyrus has lived most of his life in the basement of his blacksmith shop, so he usually doesn't like people. However, if he likes someone, he can be really nice, but when

he get's angry he can be a real pain in the bottom.

 

Biography: Cyrus was born in Bargheim, but since he is an albino, his parents didn't want him and he was sent to the blacksmith to be raised as one. This is what he was, he spent most of his life in the blacksmith, living in the basement. The blacksmith however started treating Cyrus as his own son, and Cyrus grew attached to the blacksmith. However, when the blacksmith died Cyrus took over the shop and the customers is still attending there, even though they think Cyrus is a freak. This is because he's an extraordinary blacksmith, and adventurers venturing into the Still Lands are often lead to Cyrus to get the best equipment possible.

Another great RP from a great RPer. Good to have you back!

 

Name: Satoko Yanagimoto

 

Gender: Female

 

Appearance: Slim but muscular build, tanned skin, short. She has long brown hair that just reaches her lower back that is almost always tied into a ponytail. Her striking green eyes are enchanting and intimidating at the same time.

 

Clothing: Satoko often wears a short brown tank top that leaves her arms and a slight amount of her midriff exposed. She also carries her signature cargo pants, which seem to be far too wide and bulky for a girl her size, but she seems to wear them fine. It's many pockets are stuffed full of various objects ranging from nails, bolts, and tools. She is often seen wielding a large wrench that is extraordinarily heavy to anyone who tries to use it the same way she does.

 

Personality: Satoko is a very well socialized and charismatic girl. Being a general fix-it mechanic/blacksmith, she knows almost everyone in the town. Despite being very friendly, she is not above trying to con passing heroes and travellers out of extra money when she repairs their equipment. She is not very intellectual, but she is very intuitive and can find the problem in any broken mechanism or tool and remedy the problem. She is very liberal in terms of philosophy and refuses to respect any tradition of women being submissive to men.

 

Biography: Satoko was born and raised in a small village to a blacksmith father and a tailor mother. Her two older brothers had died in childbirth and when she was born, her father was distraught about his only surviving child being a girl. To make matters worse, he found out he had become infertile from the village doctor. Due to the chain of bad events, her father always treated Satoko more like a boy that a girl, cutting her hair short like a boy's and teaching her how to smelt and form metals. Satoko showed an interest and skill in deciphering and building mechanisms, first showing her skill at age 8 when she successfully disassembled and reassembled her mother's weaving loom, making it work more effectively. When she was 15, her father was kidnapped in broad daylight by a passing band of brigands and brought into the Still Lands. She are her mother had to move elsewhere. Her mother chose Bargheim due to the high traffic of travellers there, thus increasing the number of people who need to have their clothing fixed. Satoko was then forced to stop tinkering to learn a trade to support herself and her mother. Already knowing metallurgy and having an eye for building effective mechanisms, she became the mechanic for passing adventurers who had sophisticated weaponry like crossbows. She also became a tool maker and repairwoman, who cast new heads for various farm tools and fitted them onto their handles. She never really let go of her hobby and continues to tinker in her free time.

 

Profession: Toolmaker / Mechanic / Tinkerer

Name: Akihiko Daisuke

Gender: Male

Appearance: Akihiko's height is determined as five feet eight inches. He is Slim but not Masculine or very strong. Blonde Hair, Blue eyes, Pale Light skin.

 

Clothing: He would just wear Commoner clothing such as a plain light Brownish shirt, Black Sweatpants and Boots.

 

Personality: Akihiko is a loner and doesn't talk much. (You will learn why in the Biography) Some may see him as just shy but inside he doesn't want friends and avoids people as much as possible.

 

Biography: Him and his mother were not keeping up good crops for the land they lived in didn't have soil fertile enough, so as uneducated, unemployed people, the set off to find land fertile enough to get business for croups,The soon discovered a place close to the Crystal Nexus that had soil fertile enough for harvesting, called Bargheim. Learning from his mother and her past quarrels Akihiko set out for an education to be a blacksmith for money to support a family that he wanted to have. Also learning from his mother you can't trust anyone, She was betrayed by Akihiko's Father, who ran off after Akihiko was born for another woman. He would soon find out living in the "Last Stop" in the journey of adventurers would bring money from his Mother's crops and his soon to be Blacksmith skills.

 

Profession: He is not employed as of yet, He helps his mother farm the land for food

Interesting development we have here. The three people who are related to blacksmithing have somewhat coinciding stories about the blacksmith.

Name: Rose Noir

 

Gender: Female

 

Appearance: Rose is quite tall, and has an exotic look about her. Her body is physically fit, and her skin is very lightly tanned. She has waist-length pure black hair, and her eyes are a moonlight grey. Her eyes give the impression she is piercing through people's souls and searching them. Her nostrils are quite small, and is further covered by her nose, which is not only quite big, but also quite pointy. Whenever she smiles, it is quite a wide smile, and is possible to see most of Rose's teeth.

 

Clothing: Rose is always seen wearing a floor-length cloak, which is very shabbily dyed in a purple-black colour, complete with a baggy hood, which casts unnaturally dark shadows across her face. Underneath her cloak, Rose wears a two-piece dress that has been purposely cut from just under her chest to slightly above the waist, so it reveals her belly. The top of her dress comes with a full length sleeve, and is a carmine colour, though the sleeves are a lighter shade of red; the skirt is the same shade, and it lightens as it reaches the hem. She also wears a cheap silver anklet, and sandels for shoes.

 

Personality: The most striking feature about Rose is that she is excellent when it comes to socialising with people; however, behind this nice face is a greedy person who won't even part with a single penny without mentally cursing, despite that lovely smile she tends to put on. She is very self-centered, can pull a very convincing poker face, and takes delight in pulling pranks, tricks, and generally making people give her more money than they really should be. However, accusing her of having a cold heart would not be correct, as Rose does have some goodwill and kindness in her heart, though this quality is rarely seen.

 

Biography: Rose originates from a nomadic background, but when she was born in Burgheim, her parents decided to stay there for good, and start becoming merchants instead. Her parents decided she too must become a merchant, and so Rose was always taken to the market whenever her parents had a chance. She soon learnt the basics, and when she was eight, she began helping her parents, whose stall sold mainly jewelry. During this time, Rose began to develop her social skills, which gradually developed into knowing how to decieve and rip-off people. Fifteen years after she first worked on the stall, her parents decided to retire and leave the whole business to Rose.

 

Profession: Merchant/Trader

The coinciding stories about the Blacksmith, which I count as two rather than three as Namo merely mentioned an interest in becoming a blacksmith, are a problem. As Kuroda "claimed" that plot point beforehand, you will have to make some changes to your application, Otaku-sama.

Namo, you need to flesh out your application a bit. I'm not sure whether to accept you or not, since I don't have that much to work with.

Name: Cothold Eithengomer

Gender: Male

Appearance: Cothold is a slightly taller than normal man, being able to look down slightly on most people. However, he can hide exceptionally well, so well that people have often mistook it for black magic, making himself invisible. He has regular scars on his face from a war he has been in. He is Slightly tanned, has brown eyes and a dark brown mop of hair.

Clothing: He wears a Long black cloak that stretches down to his knees, and underneath a dirty white shirt and black trousers. He has a long dagger in a sheath behind his belt, which is plain brown with a grey buckle. Sometimes in armor with a longsword in the place of his dagger.

Personality: Kind, Generous and Honorable, he has alot of chivalry and politeness, aswell as being loyal to anyone who befriends him, which isn't uncommon. He is friendly man who has alot of friends, and is positive on repaying a young boy who rescued him from an execution.

Biography: Born in a land miles away from Barghiem, but was banished on suspicions of Black magic. Of course, none of this was true, he was just good at escaping attention. He has lived most of his life so far running away from executionars. To escape attention once again he joined an army. He fought for three years, before once again being charged for black magic. Once again, he ran away. For another 4 years, he ran from executionars. They gave up on the fourth year. He arrived in Barghiem a year later, on the day of his 30th birthday, and quickly took up the job of Guard to the village, which was much rejoiced by the villagers. However, he was once again charged of Black magic. But, a small boy of 9 years old saved him by saying that he saw Cothold. Cothold is now eternally grateful to the boy, often seen with the boy, treating him with gold and food. This is now his third year in Barghiem, and he is glad that he no longers has to run.

Profession: An Ex soldier, now a Guard in Barghiem.

soldier, not accepted. I have seen you use that name before, and I personally dislike people who use the same name for all of their characters. Not to mention that your grammar is subpar and annoying.
