Wow. So what good does keeping and/or allowing new pokemon clubs to emerge bring? More pokemon options/clubs for members to choose from? Don't we have enough existing already? And about "members can make clubs anytime they want", is it because the moderators are giving you guys too much freedom? And here i am thinking that freedom comes with responsibility. Is your pokemon club dying? why not recruit members to revive it instead of making a new one? Why not do some club activities to avoid inactivation?

 

Please, enlighten me.

 

Those are the questions i pose to those who do not agree with the idea. Let me know of your thoughts. I can see a lot of members with lots of stars posting about it. Can't help but notice the twinkling lights they bring ^_^

That's like the GFXers complaining about the Advanced Clause, yet they want nothing to do with RPing.

 

lt's not harming anyone, it's not creating a widespread epidemic, it's simply someone making a club for others to join.

 

l actually dislike them doing it too, but l don't care what they make, because at the end of the day l do not plan on joining and therefore they're businesses is not any of my own.

I'm not saying it's our business Tempest. I also see your point. But if given a chance, i'd still go against creating new pokemon clubs until they clean up on what is already existing and i think that this is the best venue to voice it out. I can see a lot of people joining different clubs. No harm in that. But think about a member who joins 3 different pokemon clubs, then, isn't that pathetic? It somehow affects one another.

 

 

Anyway, as i've experienced it for more than a year now, "almost" nothing really gets done when something is posted here.

 

So yeah, allow more pokemon clubs to be created. Fill the whole club section!

I have seen many pokemon forums, i even think i saw a pokemoncardmaker, just so you know, im a major POKEMON fan, but i dont take it that far as to spam a YUGIOH forum.

In conclusion, it just makes the forum messy, when you could go to one of those sites.

I never thought making another Club "Pokemon Name" would cause another trend to happen....I too agree and btw Club Charmander is dead for 3 reasons.

 

1)I wont be as active

2)Members were also in several other pokemon clubs

3)I wanted this trend to hopefully end most of the wannabe pokemon clubs but o well....

 

I suppose you have me to blame for making another Club "Pokemon Name" club as I was the 2nd person to do so (that I know of)

The topic of Pokemon has been covered well enough.

 

Well then I guess its safe to say that the Topic of Yugioh has been covered well enough I mean we have the TCG Forum and Custom Cards section and the Card Maker! So if were told to stop making pokemon clubs because the topic is covered with than in all fairness all yugioh topics should be stopped as well.

Well then if you people support this just because this is a yugioh forum and therefore this forum must be all about yugioh then I guess we can just take out everything that is not about yugioh. This includes, General, Multimedia, Roleplay, Fanfiction, Introductions, Questions & Help and Comments & Suggestions. As these do not have anything to do with Yugioh.

 

Take this into consideration before you say that this is a Yugioh Forum and therefore anything not involving yugioh must not exist in this forum.

This thread isn't about getting rid of Pokemon as a whole on this site, rather, I'm just asking people to stop making Pokemon clubs. The people who have them are perfectly fine. My only issue with people making more is that with all the clubs about Pokemon, it's got to be hard to stay on topic.

 

And, in my honest opinion, clubs are dumb as hell. All you supporters can try to keep this alive, but I realized, thanks to Clair + others, that I really don't give a sheet about the Clubs and Organizations section.

 

So, if you others want to keep the thread going, by all means go for it. But if not, I support the thread getting locked.

Yes but everyone else in this thread supported because all they said was "This is a Yugioh Forum" and you say that the pokemon topic is well covered? Then what about yugioh? Yes this is a yugioh forum but I feel if your reason for stopping pokemon clubs is because the topic is used far too often then why don't you do the same with yugioh? It just does not seem fair at all to me.

I'm a massive Pokemon fan but I have to agree. The topic of Pokemon is covered enough by the 20+ Pokemon clubs at the moment. There should be a cap.

 

And in response to the argument about there being Multimedia and General in a Yugioh site - King Matrix, tell me how many active Yugioh-based clubs there are in C&Os?

"crosses out the Yugioh part" fixed. the pokemon clubs aren't hurting you. There are lots of members on ycm and to many members in one club leads to lots of spam and debates. So why stop pokemon clubs. If it isn't successful shut it down but To demolish an idea completley. What if over a period of time most of the clubs were shut down? People grow out of Ycm therefor they can't manage a club and the either must choose a successor or close down the club. Moe work for the mods and confusion for the members. plus threads asking why they can't make a pokemon club.
