I'm going away from standard contests and adding a story-like factor.

End date not decided yet. But will be long, so if you have plans, take this into account.

 

You will be the ruler of an upcoming empire. You will be given tasks as you go along. The ruler who wipes out all other contestants will be first.

 

Judges are needed and appreciated. PM me if you wish to be a judge.

 

For those who enter, say clearly in your post, preferably the first sentence in bold, that you are entering.

 

[spoiler=[b]The Rules of Duels]

Do not start duels yourself. To start duels, you will need to have 2 E.P. I repeat, it costs 2 E.P. to start a duel. A random person each week will get to choose to duel first (I will inform them by PM), if they do not want to duel, the choice then goes onto another person. After that duel of the week is finished, you can start to PM me to start a duel with someone else. This is the format for a week. It repeats the next week.

 

 

[spoiler=[b]How to duel]

Normal dueling except you have 3 Monster Card Zones, 3 Spell & Trap Card Zones and up to 20 cards in your Deck. Lose by not being able to draw makes you lose 1000 Life Points automatically. Lose all your Life Points and you are eliminated.

 

[spoiler=[b]Tasks 1-5][spoiler=[b]Your first task[/b]]You can either put your card in your entering post straight away, or edit it and put it in if you want to make it later.

 

Make your Empire

You must first build your empire. Make a Field Spell Card which will be your empire for the rest of the contest. It must support other cards you will make in your empire later so choose a theme of your cards (Burn, Mill, Beatstick, Swarm etc.) now (or you'll just have a weak empire).

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your second task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the first task.

 

Footsoldiers

You must choose your infantry, or your footsoldiers. Make them then post in a new post. They must support your field spell card and must work like a footsoldier: weak but can swarm well.

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your third task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the other tasks.

 

Cavalry

You must choose your cavalry, or strong soldiers (not generals, by the way). Make them then post in a new post. Most likely to be Level 5 or 6 and have a quite strong effect. Not overpowered but good in a way that supports your cards so far (could be a strong swarmer, burner, miller, Spell and Trap destroyer etc.).

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your fourth task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the other tasks.

 

Fortifications: Part 1

War is imminent. You must fortify your empire first with a simple Continuous Spell Card. It must help your whole empire with a good defensive effect that prevents destruction of your cards. And, by the way, you'll be seeing more of [spoiler=this guy later.]15ea7f4.jpg

 

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your fifth task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the other tasks.

 

Long-Range

Make a card somehow related to long-range weapons, eg. archers, cannoneers, gunners etc. Must have some sort of effects that destroy cards on the field or inflict damage. Has to also have some sort of way to keep itself on the field for as long as possible.

 

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your sixth task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the other tasks.

 

Counter!

Make a Counter Trap Card for your empire. Keep with your theme but, and here's the important part, also counter another empire. Please state which empire you are countering. (This task should be fun and bring out the competitive side of you, choose wisely, you'll be using these cards against other empires).

 

 

[spoiler=[b]Your seventh task[/b]]You can still enter but you must enter both this and the other tasks.

 

Where did that come from?

Make a Quick-Play Spell Card for your empire. Take any others for inspiration. Pretty simple, this.

To and Fro

A nice swarm card, take it as your transport for your empire. Has to swarm your other and also be durable so hard to get off the field. Not too OPed though. If the judges and I think it is OPed, you will temporarily lose 1 E.P. until you change it. It will be stated in the first post if you have and I will give you a PM for it. PM me if you've changed your card.

General

Make a general for your empire army, preferably of Level 5-8 and quite strong ATK that can be raised. A nice simple task for you to cool down with. Add your own supporting effects.

Activate this Effect when you draw a monster, if it is 4 stars or less remove it from play. You can Special Summon it face-up with its ATK and DEF increased by 500. If it is sent to the Graveyard during the turn it was Special Summoned gain 500 life points. You can destroy any monsters Summoned by this effect to negate and destroy any card that tries to destroy this card.[/align]

How do you make a spoiler tag that doesn't say spoiler? anyways, my entry:

If a monster you control is returned to your hand, Special Summon it during your next Standby Phase. If a card you control would be returned to your hand by the effect of a card other than itself, you gain 500 Life Points instead.

During the End Phase of the turn you summoned this card, return it to your hand. When you do so, you can discard a card from your hand to the graveyard. If the card you discarded was a Spell Card, return a card from your graveyard to your hand. If the card was a Trap Card, Special Summon a level 4 or lower "Winged" Monster from your deck. If the card was a Monster Card, Special Summon this card and a level 3 or lower "Winged" monster from your hand.

Okay i would like to join.Here's my Card:

Lore:This card can only be activated while you have 1 or more Monster Cards on in your Graveyard. Each time a Monster is Normal Summoned, put 2 Death Counters on this Card. All Monsters on the Field gain 300 ATK for each counter on this card. When a Monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, remove 1 Counter from this Card. When this Card has 10 Counters, you can Tribute 1 Monster to remove 2 Counters from this Card. When this Card has 12 Counters, Destroy it and add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. When this Card is destroyed by it's own effect and it is removed from the Field, destroy all Monster Cards on the Field and inflict Damage to both players equal to the number of Cards destroyed X400. If you have a face-up Field Spell Card on your side of the Field, you can Tribute 1 Monster on your side of the Field to add this Card from your Graveyard to your hand.

Lore: As long as this card remains face-up on the field all "Elemental Hero" monsters gain 200 ATK for every face-up monster on the field. When this card were to be destroyed by a card effect, you can tribute 1 face-up "Elemental Hero" monster you control to negate the effect. Once per turn, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon 1 "Elemental Hero" monster from your hand in Attack Position.

You can only activated this card by sending 1 "The Sanctuary in the Sky" in the field to the Graveyard. This card name is also treated as "The Sanctuary in the Sky" while on the field. Battle Damage to the controller of a Fairy-Type monster from a battle involving that Fairy-Type monster becomes 0. If your Life Points are lower than your opponent's Life Points, gain Life Points equal to half your Life Points during your opponent's Standby Phase. Once per turn, if a Fairy-Type monster would be destroyed by battle, it is not. During your Draw Phase, you can add 1 Fairy-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand, instead of conducting your normal draw. If this card would be destroyed, you can pay 500 Life Points instead.

When this card is removed from the field your opponent takes 300 damage and you gain 300 life points. When this card is sent to the graveyard from the field by your opponent you can special summon up to 2 "Winter Elf Villager" monster cards from your deck to the field in face up Defense Position.
