altemon
Yeah, it was a quick one to be honest. I'm working on more, and making some maps as well.
:^)
Too much Short Grass on map imo
altemon
You're right, now that I look at it. But I'm not exactly sure what to replace it with that would fit in with the foot of the mountain theme.
:^)
Add Long Grass, you know the stuff you can't bicycle through?
Zeroshot
The splice is boring. Although, all you did was copy and paste the arms on. (If Icyblue were here, he'd probably say some crap about how there's too much Infernape. I, frankly don't care about that as it is, but it is somewhat of an issue) My focus is more on what you did manage to do. You pasted the arms on, wrong. You can see Infernapes shoulder pad on his... shoulder, but yet the Metang arms (Left arm, rather) is growing from his stomach. The orange color doesn't even match Infernape's colors. To be honest, I don't care if you did it quick. One of the main rules of spriting that you do want to follow is to take your time. I've never actually critiqued a map before. What I don't like about it right away is all the massive grass and pokeballs on the south side, but there is almost nothing on the north. I'm not sure if the map continues to the left, but if it doesn't, there is no reason for the stairs to be there. Speaking of pointless stairs, the one that looks as if it connects the long strip of grass to the mountain, is pointless. There's no way of getting from the bottom level by the grass, to the stairs and vice versa.
LiAM
The map has a few problems with it, so I'm gonna point out the ones I see to help with further maps you decide to make: -Very top, there is a set of stairs near the middle that lead down a mountain, but don't go anywhere (don't touch the floor), consider adding steps or removing.-Bottom left, construction of the mountain side where it splits between the grass looks unnatural =o-The bottom mountain doesn't go anywhere... maybe an obvious hidden item there, but it looks blank-Navigation from zone to zone looks complicated, and the route I see appears to lead over mountain tops, which isn't actually possible in pokemon, you either go through or around a mountain D= Which leads back to the stairs issue.-The water patch has a small section of grass behind, but there's nothing there, maybe place an item or indicate some hidden ones. Things to add:Strength rocks, flowers, Rock smashes, taller grass, stray house (to rest or gain hidden item), Cut trees, items near the top of map, rather than lower part... But that's my critique >_>'It's a good map, but it just could be improved a bit, that's all. =)
