Joey turned back to the window and noticed that they would arrive at the school in about 8 minutes. Without looking back at Joesph, he said

"You sure talk alot about that, don't you?" he asked "...I can't say that I see where your coming from...Because, isn't time eventually going to consume us...? I mean, we can't stop it...So why fight it?"

As he looked out the window he noticed many kids on foot or on their bikes walking or riding to school. He would do that too, but he would be too tired to make it from his house to school and back. Joey leaned his head on the window and waited for the bus to arrive.

"Talk a lot......I guess I do, but that's just what I'm like, if ya got a problem with that then.....well not much I would do anyway" He sighs and watches the people move to the side. "well, I think I've spoken enough for now.....my mouth actually hurts..." he joked as he remembered something. "Oh yeah...that girl that was talking to you earlier, she seemed nice...of course I crashed into a pole like 3 seconds after getting a good look at her so Maybe I'm just basing it on looks....either way, you seem to be slightly popular....for a Introvert....."

There was a slight moment of silence until Joey decided to break it

"Introvert...Well, Hell if I know what that means..." he said, clearly, without any tone of shyness in his voice anymore "But I really don't care about the popularity...That's not gonna get me anywhere..."

About 3 minutes later, the bus had come to a stop, parking slightly out of place in the bus loop. Joey closed his eyes and yawned, waiting for the bus to come to a complete stop. When it did, Joey lifted himself up and grabbed his pack. He then waited for Joesph to stand.

"well one day you'll understand, and then you'll think it was a total mismatch.....but for now, you remain Mr. Introvert..." he stated, almost as a declaration as he stood up and walked through the small passageway in the bus, as he walked out he made sure not to break one of the very large items in his backpack. "Let's hope this thing can fit in the locker......I'll need it during lunch......" he stated with a devilish smile.

Joey looked towards Joesph with a rather confused look on his face. He shrugged it off and then exited the bus. Joey took the time to carefully examine the school. It was just like he remembered, with a few changes, such as a new and improved lawn, and the fences weren't as rusty as they were last year. He smiled a bit and then went on the the entrance of the school. Joey didn't hesitate, he opened the twins doors and entered the courtyard.

Kaze arrived at the school just moments after the bus did. She paused for a second and stared at the other students who were walking into the school, silently judging every person she saw. "Pfft," She walked up to the school and walked into the doors, wishing that she could just turn around and walk back to her normal school in Japan, with all of her old friends. Then she looked down at her new class schedule, with very unattentive eyes. Then without meaning to she ran directly into the back of Joseph and was put down onto the floor on her backside.

"Aye!" Joseph stated when he felt a bump on his back. He turned around and saw a rather attractive redhead on the ground. Of course, he couldn't just let her looks get to him, that was one thing he vowed before the beginning of the year....of course most men would have a very difficult time with that, and Joseph was no exception. "Pardon me, young miss, didn't mean to stand in your way." he said with his usual courteous smile, he extended his hand to help her out.

Joey turned around to look at Joesph, who was a few yards away from him. He took a seat and watched him carefully.

"What a hot shot..." he sighed "6 seconds after entering the school and he already has a cute girl chasing after him..."

A coffee buying desk was but a few feet away from him, so he stood up and purchased a cup of coffee. Joey than wandered around the courtyard waiting for school to start.

Kaze was expecting a load of yelling and insults and was just about to return with that but when Joseph's, to her ears, sweet voice was void of cursing at her she returned the smile and grabbed his hand and continued with pulling herself up, gratefully. "Thanks, I guess I was just being stupid, not watching where I was going and all." She said to Joseph. "I'm Kaze, Kaze Hyubashi." Kaze said gazing into his eyes.

"Kaze...that's a pretty name...mine's Just Joseph Cruz....." She was very pretty, but then his Otaku mode began fighting him in his mind. "Kaze...holy crap...most Moe name ever! It literally means wind.....free as the wind....wait...no....can't show that dorky side to anyone....calm down....CALM DOWN!!!!!" Joseph then noticed they were still holding hands. "Oh...sorry," he was finally able to let go. "unnecessary long pause is unnecessary...." he said as he rubbed the back of his head, but now he was in a rut...he didn't know what to say next.

Christian let out a sigh. Just like home.... Home sweet home. Even Christian thoughts were sarcastic here. And while he was normally very outgoing, no one seemed to catch his attention. Everything here was just like home, only at home he already had friends. He knew his sexuality was largely accepted.... That thought bought in another one. thoughts of his now-ex-boyfriend filled his head. What was James doing now? They hadn't been single for over a year, and knowing James, Mr. Popular with the guys and girls, surely he'd have someone by now. Christian sighed again, he had to get his mind off of this somehow. He checked his schedual, English... But where was English? Oh well, just a conversation starter. He'd find someone attractive or otherwise interesting and ask directions. Christian's walk was slow and iritated at the moment, his heavier-than-ever bag weighing down the one side of his body he could use. Damn Micheal! He thought, thinking back to his brother's 'reaction' to finding out he was bisexual.

Joey looked around the courtyard and noticed someone walking rather weirdly. The guy seemed uncomfortable, so Joey shrugged and after a while, he decided to casually walk up to him.

"Hey." he said, short and sweet "You seem in some kind of pain...Everything okay?"

He didn't have a slight trace of shyness in his voice, though he was still a bit shy.

Joey usually wasn't the type to just walk up to people and greet him, but this guy looked like he need a friend.

"Hey-" He greeted Joey. "I'll be fine. But, as you can see-" He indicated to his broken arm "I'm having a little trouble, the bag's really heavy and I really can't carry it on one arm." He smiled. This guy seemed nice. Maybe they'd be good friends. Christian slid the bag off his shoulder and into his hand, maybe it'd be easer to carry it like that. Christian's train of thought quickly switched tracks. "Can I ask you for some directions? I have English in Room 607 and I don't know where to go, I'm new in town.. and the school for that matter." He didn't see a point in going into why his arm was in the state it was in, not until he knew this guy better, he was a potential friend and Christian was concerned that saying "I'm bi and my brother didn't like that." Would cause problems. "By the way, I'm Christian."

"Sooooo . . ." Kaze said to Joseph trying to break a very awkward silence between them, while twirling a strand of her bright, red hair around, her index finger.

"Would you mind, showing me around the place sometime or another? Since, you know, I don't really know my way around this town all that well." She said stepping just a couple inches closer to Joseph and her face getting just that much closer to his.

Joey examined Christian carefully then he saw that he was having trouble with his bag. He yawned and then, without thinking first, he slipped Christian's bag out of his hand, and Joey started carrying it himself.

"I've got it, if you don't mind..." he said, his face emotionless and tired. Joey then took out his schedule and looked at it

"English, huh? Looks like we have the same class, then..." he said "Let's go..."

Joey started walking in the direction that room 607 was most likely in.

Deep in his mind he was panicking like all hell had just broken loose. "Jesus H. Christ......not even a minute in the new school year and this happens......looks like the gods of fortune smile on me....but if she comes any closer I may just go ahead and faint......damn...I am such a loser....". Despite the horrible tenseness he feels in his mind he simply smiles and responds rather calmly. "Sure, no problem, we could totally start off with your first class...I don't mind being late to my own if it's to help you out...." He was smooth with the execution, but in his mind, he was near death....

"Are you sure?" He was happy that Joey had offered to help him. "I don't wanna be a bother." He started to walk along side his apparent new friend, greatful for the asistance. "You seem tired? Did you sleep alright?" Christian was genuinely concerned. James didn't ever sleep particularly well, and this was a reminder of his past that was slightly un-nerving, and yet, somehow comforting. Thoughts echoed through Christian's ponderous head, his mind racing at a mile a minute. Maybe if there were some more people here who were this nice, he'd like it afterall.

Joey shook his head slightly as he smiled a bit

"It's not a bother...." he said, politely. After Joey had heard the quiestion that was stated by Christian, his mind kinda froze. After a moment of thinking through it, he was able to answer

"I'm not all that tired...But I guess I can use some rest..." he laughed a bit "But I pretty much always look tired...Don't know why, I just do..."

Joey then turned his head to Christian's broken arm; he became a bit concerned about it.

Before long, they were approaching the class. When they got there, Joey opened the door for him and looked inside the classroom. The class had not started yet, and all the kids were talking and causing loudness in the room, waiting for the bell to ring.

"Thanks a lot, I owe you one" He said with a smile, before taking a seat near the back of the room, there were spare seats on either side, and, unless Joey took a set next to him, it would probably remain that way, not that it bothered him at all. These students were all loud and obnoxious. His mind drifted off a bit. What would this year be like, will I find anyone I really fit in with? How will I relate to my foster parents? His expression was an almost blank, dreaminess, he didn't notice the looks he recieved, nor the paper airplane that nearly hit him in the face.

The bell rang and the teacher Ms. Ronquillo sent Delilah to Ms. Chase's classroom (Joey's first period class) to give her some needed papers.

When she walked into the classroom the first person she saw was Joey, she walked over to Ms. Chase and handed her the papers.

"Ms. Ronquillo sent me to give you these papers," Delilah said and when she was walking back out she waved at Joey.

Joey shook his head slightly as he took a seat next to Christian. He leaned himself against the chair as he examined the loud room. He knew most of the people in the classroom from last year, but he took little interest in them.

"Yo, Kaito! Senior year, it's gonna be blast, right?" one of the kids called out towards Joey. Joey did nothing but give him a thumbs-up. He noticed as Deliah walked in and rushed right out. He gave her a small wave.

Joey than turned to Christian

"So, how'd you get that broken arm?" he asked "If you don't mind my asking..."

"Well..." He started, hesitantly, he pondered for about half a second, hoping that he could trust Joey. "My brother attacked me, he and I were really close, but he found some things out about me that he didn't exactly like." His voice was awkward, it wasn't that he didn't feel comfortable telling Joey, but the memory was painful. "I'm actually bisexual, my parents are very homophobic, I guess he inherited it." His tone was solemn when he said that. "I hope my sexuality doesn't bother you, does it?" He was really nervous about Joey's reaction, sure he'd only known him a few minutes, but still he was the only person here who seemed to notice him.

Joey looked down at his feet. His eyes became filled with emotion for the first time today

"Well, I'm sorry to hear that...Wish you could have had a better outcome..." he sighed. He looked up and went into thought. After a while of this, he bit his lip

"I'm actually also Bisexual...So of course your sexuality wouldn't bother me..." he spoke softly. Joey then looked up at the front of the class. Ms. Chase was still looking through the attendance files, and organizing everything on her desk, so even though the bell had rung, it seemed like it would take some time before Ms. Chase would start the class.

"Really?" Christian asked ponderously. It was odd that the first person he met at the school was another bisexual boy, and an attractive one at that. "Do your family know?" Christian thumbeled through his bag with his left hand, luckily he was ambidexterous and the broken arm inflicted by his brother wouldn't slow him down too much. He smiled over at Joey. Keeping an eye on the teacher. He heard his name is the role was called. "here" he said abcent mindedly. Much much more interested in Joey. He produced a pen from his bag and slowly withdrew his English book.

Joey nodded slightly; then he went to thought again

"My father and my sister never really asked about that kind of stuff, so no, they don't know..." he stated plainly. He then turned his attention back to the front of the class.

"Kaito J Yahiko?" the teacher asked, darting her eyes around the room looking the student. Joey raised his hand enough for the teacher to see him. She checked off his name and continued shouting out names. Before long, she was ready to begin the class.
