Donquixote Doflamingo
I like Stephen King's Books. They rock. But I prefer Horror Movies, more than books
cerberus21
I like Stephen King's Books. They rock. But I prefer Horror Movies' date=' more than books[/quote'] This. The book (and movie) "IT" ruined my childhood. I was afraid to go into my bathroom for days. Dean Koontz isn't a bad author either. His book "Tick-Tock" isn't very scary, but it's suspenseful. Read it now.
Larxene
Stephen King owns this topic in every way. I'm currently reading The Stand, so far it's amazing.

Larxene
Everyone I know who has read any number of Stephen King books usually seem to agree that his two best books are The Stand and It. Which is why I was gonna read It next.
cerberus21
It is amazing. The Shining was very good, and Skeleton Crew, which was a collection of short stories, is also a favorite of mine.
Donquixote Doflamingo
It was good, but the Shining I read at a younger age, so it had a bigger impact on me, than the others.

Umbra
I'm reading The Stand (unabridged version) AND It currently - both are awesome so far. (And cerberus, if we're thinking of the same bathroom scene - Beverly's - then... that was horrible. I loved it.) Finished Carrie a few weeks ago, loved it as well. cerberus21
Horowitz Horror 2: More Stoories You'll wish you never read. I find those stories pathetic :P Those stories are less scary than Goosebumps. They're geared more towards little kids.
Rusty Shovel
Goosebumps is pathetic. Seriously, I need hardcore horror to even get slightly scared. I'm kinda.... emotionless...

I'm kinda.... emotionless...[/quote'] Same problem here. Did anyone read Thinner? Excellent book. The dreams at the end were crazy and had great descriptions. I had a dream about the nose falling off thing that freaked the crap out of me. Great psychological thriller.
Larxene
I've read only a few Stephen King books I believe, all of them were great. Off the top of my head, I think it was just these... 'Salem's LotCujoThinnerThe Dead ZonePet SemataryThe Stand All of them have been great. I was gonna read It next, and then Desperation and The Regulators since they're supposed to go together. EDIT: Finished The Stand this morning. Easily my favorite of his books that I've read so far.

Amethyst Phoenix
Horror books and movies make me paranoid if I read them, so I settle for spoiling the plots for myself on tvtropes and wikipedia.
