-Griffin
Regardless of book count, it's a trilogy because Adams said so. As such, discuss the best trilogy ever, and how sometimes it's more interesting when a story doesn't need to make an awful lot of sense, and just needs to happen =3 I really need to re-read books 4&5, I haven't got around to it in a while, and now I can barely remember what happens in those, QQ
Phantom Roxas
There is a sixth book if you didn't know. Douglas Adams passed away, but he got the guy who wrote Artemis Fowl to write it. It's called And Another Thing.
-Griffin
I might look into it, but I'm not sure if I could really enjoy it without Adams particular style.
Cin
I don't know why but I always feel it trailed off a little after the 1st book, well I felt that after the 1st 2 reads. The whole thing with Random was a little odd. And the Aliens from the new planet, who's name evades me, was it Rupert or something like that? This series is probably the first Fiction I've read in ages, and I'd come back to it over and over.
Raelen
I think my favorite passage in all of the book describes a sperm whale in space. Damn, I've gotta read that again. ^_^
Umbra
I think my favorite passage in all of the book describes a sperm whale in space. Damn' date=' I've gotta read that again. ^_^[/quote'] And all the petunia thought was: Oh, not again! Books 4-5 are really a separate series - an AU of sorts. A literal AU, seeing as Arthur apparently goes into another timeline. I might be mixing this up with something else, though; that part of the series was confusing at best and mind-raping at worst. Davok
I love this series so much. I finished So Long and Thanks for All the Fish a couple of weeks ago. I really liked it, though I kind of liked Trillian. D;
