Survivor
To be honest, the first time I read it, I loved them. The second time, I realized that there were some touchy moments...really stupid things like the chapter titles, but I still loved them. Now, after seeing the movie. I can not stand to even hear the name of the books. It is terrible that something like that piece of trash could come out of someone's head. I want to literally go to the bathroom on the script, then the director, then the actors. It was that terrible. I burned my ticket stub in the fire. EliminateHRN
I'm almost done with the second book. Took me just over two weeks to finish it. I'm waiting for the movie to come out on DVD, I don't want to pay to see something that might now be good. Or at least for people who read the books. Fizzy™
I've seen the movie and it was awesome.Haven't read the books yet though.I've been told numerous times that the books are better than the movie and that if you read the books the movie will seem terrible.I enjoyed the movie so I think I should be getting my hands on the books ^__^
Phantom Roxas
I think the movie was worse than the Eragon movie.
Maz
i love the book but friends said the movie was terrible. is it true in ur opinion?
Survivor
As I said above. Movie was terrible, books are amazing. I love the third one. Best God appearances and storyline in that one. The 3rd book to me is the biggest turning point in the series.
Phantom Roxas
Speaking of which, I finished the third book.

Phantom Roxas
Awesome, but I've noticed it's gotten darker.

Survivor
It does get darker, but thats what I like about it. I dont like it to always be the little 9 year old sense of humour to it the whole time. Its nice to have a little bit more maturity considering that he is 14. I mean come on. Fourteen year olds are immature, but not quite like that. I also liked seeing Apollo, Artemis, Aphrodite, and Athena all be revealed together in the same book, considering that they are my favorite Gods and Godesses. Phantom Roxas
Apollo was kind of meh, Artemis was great, Aphrodite was over the top, and Athena's a jabroni.
Survivor
Apollo has to be my favorite, just because we are so alike (except for the immortality and the sun thing)...and I won't be the judge on the good looking. But I love archery and the arts. And you're right, Athena and Aphrodite were...yeah, but Artemis was well written.
waterwhip
i finished the second book todaythe movie was not terrible just practiclly its own thing. i mean whats with making them old enough to drive and the lotus casino scene. its impossibly inaccuratebook 1 gets intresting in ch 5 or so book 2 intresting in ch2 or so book 3 intresting in the end of chapter 1 in the titans curse in SF bad because its close to the underworld
waterwhip
i like p.36 in the titans curse and artemis is sexist
Survivor
Well that's her choice. Her experience with men is bad and she prefers to be with women. And please, do not post back to back. Instead of two posts in a row, just edit your first one.
Sorrow.
Man if Apollo is the master of Marksmanship I always wondered if there would be guns with Celestial Bronze bullets that would be pure greatness. Anyways the best series I've ever read next to Harry Potter. Its a must have book, it seems its as big as Harry Potter it resembles Harry Potter, for example 3 friends 2 guys 1 girl go out in quests and go to a camp/academy to train their powers. In conclusion Percy Jackson and the Olympians is the American version of Harry Potter. Well done Rick Riodrian
Phantom Roxas
Riordan's new series, The Kane Chronicles, is out. It's based on Egyptian mythology. Anyone planning on getting it?
