El Make
These books are awesome! I can't wait for the fourth book. But...
Oromis and Glaedr died. That sucked they were awesome Again, don't read if you haven't read the Brisingr. You have been warned. I agree, they should have at least done it in a better way.....
EliminateHRN
I didn't even watch 30 minutes of the movie' date=' who did they leave out?[/quote'] It's easier to tell you who they left in. But I think the guy is talking about is Joed. He doesn't appear at all in the film. Nor does a lot of other main characters appear. Also, Saphira isn't a dragon in the film, she has feathers. Jeremy Irons (Brom) was possibly the only good actor in the film. Everyone else...sucked.
DL
The movie was watchable as a standalone with no relations to any books. BUT, since it IS based off of a book, which is good, if slightly overrated, the movie sucked. I don't believe they'll be able to maker a sequel, nor do I think I'd want to see it. Hydra of Ages
I honestly quite dislike Eragon. It was fine the first time I read it, but going back to it several years later, I found it was riddled with cliches, purple prose, a predictable plot, vaguely Mary-sueish characters, and half-assed magical languages. It had some enjoyable parts, so in truth, it's not horrible, but still never something I would recommend. I'd give it about a 6/10, if pressed. ...But my real irritant comes from the sequels, which I found were both vastly inferior to the already somewhat mediocre first one. Eldest, for one, was filled with Deus Ex Machina, an even more predictable plot, some truly bizarre aspects that were never really explained, and elves. Oh god. The elves. No comment. In total, maybe a 4.5/10, once again only if pressed. As for the third book... I honestly feel I wasted money on it. Seriously. Nothing happened. You could probably compress all of the necessary plot elements of the third book into the first five chapters of the hypothetical fourth. Not to mention it, for me, completely ruined Eragon as any sort of likeable character in my eyes (which had only been holding on by a tether there), and was generally just boring. The only interesting parts were the exposition- and exposition's SUPPOSED to be boring! Maybe a 2/10? I really don't want to give this one a rating, since I hardly call it a novel, since so little of relevance took part. Beh. Anyway, I could go on a for a little more like that, but I won't. No offense meant to anyone who likes the series, I just have a lot of problems with it. Not trying to troll either, just stating my opinion. Shradow
I love the series, but the movie was horrible.
I wonder who'll get the last dragon egg... Murtagh got the red one, Eragon the blue one... I think Arya should get the last one, and I hope it's green (I know they have names, but I went by color for some reason...)

Poseidon©
I'd actually like Roran as a Dragon Rider. Then it'd be: Eragon - Roran - Murtagh, all brothers. Explanation: It is very likely that Roran may become the new Rider, considering the title, Inheritance, and the fact that all the new Riders are seemingly "related". Garrow was quoted in "Eldest", speaking to Roran about their land, that "...if you take care of it, it takes care of you. Not too many things are like that." Other than land, a dragon will also do that. Also, Tamerlein, the green dragon rider sword, could very well become the sword of the green dragon's Rider. The sword is described by Eragon as "being meant for someone with a fighting style that relied more upon cutting and slashing". This style seems very appropriate for Roran, seeing as how Roran prefers to fight with a hammer as of now. However, the brightsteel that Eragon retrieved from the Menoa Tree was enough for a few more swords or other types of weapons. Rhunön could use the same tactic in creating a new sword for the next rider as she did with Eragon if they had the speed of an elf. Nasuada mentioned that Eragon, Murtagh and Roran gave her the most troubles, that could have been a hint that Roran will be the next dragon rider. Also, when Roran was fighting in Surda, where he killed almost two hundred soldiers, the spears that he picked up kept breaking in his hands, perhaps showing the strength of magic in his blood. However, it would ruin his marriage to Katrina because he would live forever. If Saphira mates with a dragon and that egg is given to Katrina, it is quite possible that a dragon will hatch because she has a strong personality. Roran could also have a hammer made like a riders sword. Also Christipher Paolini stated in a meeting that when he was writing Eragon he thought of three warrior brothers fighting side by side with three dragons against Galbatorix. EliminateHRN
Something tells me Roran is going to be a dragon rider, but I don't know what he would do without Katrina. He would be immortal and she wouldn't. Also, Eragon and Roran isn't brothers, they're cousins. (I think.)
DL
Yes, they are cousins, although in the first book, it was said they were as close as brothers.
EliminateHRN
Yeah, I know. But about the future rider, I think I read that it'll surprise a lot of readers. And there was a lot of hints throughout the books. A surprise and a lot of hints. I might have to read back through the books and see if I can see the "hints". Scyire
This book series has one flaw to me; the stereotypical evil villain syndrome. Galbatorix should be in a few combat situations by this far in the book series. But now, with his godly magic powers, he's just going to sit there, like every evil villain, until Eragon comes and kicks his ass.

EliminateHRN
I don't think the next dragon rider will do much. Book 4 is the last book in the series and they haven't even introduced the last rider yet. Unless the next rider is already trained well (Arya?), I highly doubt he/she will play a big role in the next book. And unless Roran can get Katrina to become an immortal as well, he wouldn't do it. He already said something like that in one of the books.

Shradow
The next rider will be Morgan Freeman and you know it. Hell yeah! And Random Dude is right about Roran becoming the next dragon rider. And technically, Galbatorix did take over Murtagh that one time when he killed Oromis. Off Topic: I don't know why, but when I think of Galbatorix, I think of Ganondorf... GraveHorizon
I wonder if there's gonna be a plot twist? Isn't there always? I do not think R-man will become the next Rider. It's an unfounded and nonsensical idea. Get over it. I was about 50 pages from the end of Brisingr when I realized it wasn't going to be the last book in the series. I hate that feeling, anticipating the end of the book while thinking "How the hell are they going to wrap this up with so few pages left?", and slowly figuring out that it's going to continue with another book. They should make it more obvious. And it's unanimous that the movie blew. They didn't even get his hair right, and they could have just done a montage (Montage!) instead of having Saphira grow up in a few seconds.
