Is this level of ignorance common?

Anyway, if you're going for Sceptile, I recommend Sceptile Wall / SubSeed.

Hidden Power Fire / Hidden Power Ice

Substitute

Leaf Blade

You have horrible grammar.

Eurynome, you were supposed to start Emerald when I bought Emerald D:

Then we could see who beat the game faster D:

I'm sorry. D:

Well, I haven't played like, at all so everything is pretty much the same. Only, Ralts is 17 now and I got a Geodude to help with Wattson.

Ah, good old 3rd gen.

I remembered I had a playing time of 213 hours on my Ruby. It was such a fun game with it's new features like Pokebodies and usage of Pokemon other than Battling and using them as HM slaves. I played the hell out of it and was my favourite Pokemon game.

Then came Soulsilver.

Also, Gardevoir and Groudon are awesome.

Saphire was awesomness.

I ACTUALLY played through the E4 enough times to level a Kyogre from 45 to 100.

....And then shortly after I started cheating with Rare Candies.

Dont worry, I still left the rest of my team intact ;)

I should have put Kyogre on Soul Silver, instead of Platinum >___>

You should have bought Heartgold instead. Kyorge is catch-able in that version.

And he's super easy to catch too. Aqua Ring gets a little annoying but it only heals like 10HP. Just bring along about 10-15 Net Balls and a Pokemon that can Paralyze and you're good.

......I can just trade Kyogre to Silver

As it is, I plan to trade my level 76 Garchomp, 75 Infernape, 75 Staraptor, and maybe my 66 Frost Rotom over to Silver, and use them agenst Red

(because im that lazy)

Red isn't hard. Bring some mid Lv60s and some Full Restores and you can beat him. A Lv61+ Rhyperior that knows Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Rock Wrecker destroys Snorlax, Pikachu and Charizard. That's half his team already. An Electric type destroys Lapras and Blastoise in short order. Then a Fire or Ice type (I used Articuno) kills Venusaur. So really, you only need 3 mid-60 Pokemon to defeat Red.

Edit: BACK to R/S/E. So like, has anyone caught any shiny Pokemon on one of these games? On Emerald, I've caught a Shiny Trapinch. I migrated the evolved Flygon to HG. <3 I also got a shiny Meditite on Sapphire once, but I traded to Emerald awhile back and migrated it to HG too.

*is playing Crystal on GBA until Gen 3 comesout*

*anticipates trading over all of my 251 pokemon from crystal*

*goes to buy Ruby Version*

*plays Ruby version*

*beats the game*

*throws game at wall and yells loudly*

*gives game away to some random kid on the bus*

I was actually going to try and level up a Tyranitar(when I get to mount Silver though).

And Jim(Feraligator) knows Earthquake and Ice Fang.

......I just need to level them up more.

On-Topic: I never reeally found any shinys in this game. My luck at finding rare Pokemon is kinda' terrible :/

I don't know what is with you people and hating Gen III. :/

They added so much unnecessary crap to the game that it made the entire thing feel awkward and unfamiliar. I dunno though.... maybe it's just because I was so use to Gen 1 + 2's style...

The only thing you can do between gens is add useless crap and more Pokemon. It's not like they wanted to repeat Gen II all over again, as that would become boring, repetitive, and just stupid.

And Gen III was the advent of EVs, IVs, Natures, pretty much everything that became competitive battling, it had a nice roster of Pokemon, blah blah blah. I can't change your mind, but I don't think it sucked.

I liked Generation III, maybe because I haven't really played anything older since I got Ruby, which was not long after it came out I don't think. Either that or the graphic (and general) quality, which was such an improvement on Gold and Silver.

I don't understand why people dislike it so much. Sure, the water routes may get a bit repetitive, and I was disappointed that you couldn't link to older games, but it was (and still is, even with the newer games) just so nice looking, and it had all the nice innovations (and Psyduck). Frankly, as a restart to the series how much more do you want?

I've got Ruby and Emerald now, and I've finished both of them. Maybe I'll restart one some time, if I can be bothered to empty all the items from it.

Also, I recommend Starmie for a Water-type. I went through Emerald using only waters (plus a couple of HM slaves) and Starmie was probably the most useful of the lot. Does BoltBeam (thus negating the need for an Electric) + Surf and is fast. Mine also has Psychic, so it covers that as well. Use a HM slave for your other water HMs - I suggest Psyduck, since it's easy to get and learns everything but cut and fly.

I decided to restart my Emerald today.

-Started the Game with Torchic.

Current team after 2 badges:

Combusken lv 17

Ralts lv 15

Marill lv 15

Poochyena lv 8

Tailow lv. 7

Nincada lv 6

I plan on training Pooch and Tailow. While Nincada is more of a current HM whore.

Swampert makes the game too easy. Sceptile actually provides kind of a challenge. Plus, I'm getting tired of using Swampert.

I'm using Lanturn for my Water/Electric. I don't use Slaves. They're a waste of space on my team.
