"Yes, very good. I assume we will have some of our higher ranks competing in the Crimson Cup, because there are only three of us, the Nexus ter. We would need one for each group, and I suggest that we have two in one group, because we will obviously get through to the quater finals, but what about the fourth quater final. What if one doesn't get through?" The man in the suit asked, tipping his hat over his face again as he reached inside his pocket. He felt for his best deck, and drew the top card. He looked at the card and smiled, knowing he wouldn't lose.

 

OOC: That is is best card. I am still making it, but will be finished soon. And a question, do the Nexus ter have psychic powers or anything? Anything like that.

 

((Now))

"This spell is a variant of my own. The name is partcularly great. The looming shadow." The suit man said, placing the card down. A black hole appeared behind him, not sucking anything in, but the old man could feel the power emanating from it. "Now, this card absorbs all my lightsworn cards(not monsters), on the field, in my hand and in my deck, and subsitutes them for their accursed counterparts." The suited man said, as cards flew from his deck and were absorbed into the vortex behind him. Then the vortex collapsed, but not before spewing some cards out, the same amount that went in. "Now, my Gragonith is Gragonith, the accursed lizard. And my Garoth is Garoth, the Accursed Berserker." The suited man stated, now chuckling. "And now, a card in my hand which was once a lighsworn but is now an accursed has had it's effect edited. Now I tribute my Gragonith and Garoth in order to special summon my Ceroniath, the Accursed demon." And Gragonith and Garoth Vanished, in order to Summon a massive Devil like creature, that erupted from the ashes of the monsters before it. "And now you lose, because My demon destroys all Spells and traps in your hand and on the field. And I have none on the field."

 

OOC: Same stats as before, except The suited man(Cultin) has one less card in his hand and three more cards in his grave. Most accursed monsters have the same effects as their lightsworns, always have the same ATK, DEF, Lv, Type ETC. The only thing that differs is occasionally the Effect and always the ATT, Accursed being DARK.

"We will not lose." Xero said and stroke his hand over the deckbox that was strapped to his belt. "At least I won't. I have taken care of everything. There is at least one Duel Nexus member in each of the eight groups, including us. They will report if they feel something unusual during the duels." Xero then walked to the door that Pierre had gone through just a moment ago, but stopped just before leaving. "Good Luck." Just before he walked outside a smile could be seen on his face.

IC: ((The flashback))"Good." The suited man said as he Stood up, crouching down to grab a suitcase. "Now if you'll excuse me. We need to start now. I'll go to the Daimon district, there are a lot of duelists there." The suited man said, as he walked out of the door. As he passed Xero he tipped his hat up to look at Xero. "You're good at this stuff. I'm not surprised you got this far." The suited man said, before leaving.

 

((Now))

The old man looked shocked. He tried to take off his dueldisk but it seemed to be gripping to his arm. The man in the suit chuckled and said, "It's stuck. My abundant psychic powers, amplified by this device's technology, alows me to prevent you from escaping this duel. And now, since you lose, you die. I'm terribly sorry, but you seem to be old and nearing the end, so I'll just help you on. Now Attack, my demon!" And the Devil creature infront of The suited man placed a hand infront of him. An orb gathered in the hand, then it shaped itself into a blade. "Accursed demon flurry." The suited man muttered as the Demon made threw slashes with it's blade. The man flew into a nearby wall and groaned, cuts and bruises, and a big gash, all over him. He stood himself up somehow and went to draw a card, when the suited man grabbed a card from his hand. "I am not finished yet. I'll activate a spell card called Accursed punishment. Now, when you take damage I can activate this card, and we each take half the damage you just took. Now, you lose." The suited man said as a black flew towards the old man. "And, before you die, my name......it is Cultin." And he grabbed his deck and threw the dueldisk back at the now dead man's body. He pulled a phone out of his pocket and dialed a number, the phone saying, 'Ringing Xero. Please wait a minute.'

Kuroda entered the stadium together with two others.

Good. Once I defeat these guys I can take it easy during the rest of the day.

 

Xero watched the duel of Group 1, and the winner was some Kuroda kid using Dragunities.

Heh. The Duel Nexus agent was defeated that easy? I'll see to it to get his report soon.

Suddenly a ringtone could be heard from Xero and he pulled the ringing phone out of his pocket. When he saw tht it was Cultin he placed the phone at his ear and said:

"Any news about the 'Eye'?" Xero somehow knew what the answer would be.

OoC: I won't have any powers, that just doesn;t really fit pierre.

 

Pierre had saw the match, there agent in that group had been duelling pretty pathic and he hadn't made the match good enough to test the skills of the others. He just couldn't believe they had let that there where people that weak in Nexus. Pierre was 2 and could be going up any minute. He had already looked at his two opponents and they looked weak. But the fun part was that they had confidence, almost as if the didn't know he was one of the Nexus Ter. It would be fun chrusing them. "Good luck to both of you" Piere sad as he entered the arena "Lets make this a great match for the audience".

Appearance: Damon stands at 6'1, 210 pounds, and is clearly an intimidating dude. While not a bodybuilder, he is muscular enough to keep most people away. He is a mix of many different races, of which the most prominent are Italian, Irish, and German. He has cropped black hair with blond highlights and a good enough face to pull it off.

Biography: Damon worked his way up to were he is, which is a duelist of some renown. He works, and hard, because of his upbringing in a down-on-its-luck family. At a early age, Damon worked to provide for his family, and the best way, he found, was dueling in tournaments. Even after providing enough to keep his family afloat, Damon likes to enter tournaments just for fun. That is how he entered the Crimson Cup.

 

 

 

IC: The tall, well-built man watched as three men stepped out of the entryway and into the crowd. As the roar of the crowd became a undulating scream, Damon Steele looked behind him, into the public section of the stands, in irritation.

"They're like bloody barbarians." Damon said under his breath. "Waiting to see some guy get crushed."

Damon turned back to the stadium floor, where he would be dueling shortly. He watched as a small man with black hair walked out with the two others, and Damon's breath caught in his throat.

"Pierre Glace?" Damon said, shocked, "The Nexus Ter is participating in this tournament?"

Damon shook his head. Some of the duelists here were definitely going to be crushed then. Damon looked down at his deck and smiled. He was going to make sure he wasn't one of them.

OoC: Willpower, could you post your application also in a spoiler for us who haven't seen it? Just so we know a bit about your appearance and stuff. Makes it a bit easier to interact.

 

Pierre was standing in the arena, most of the spectators cheering for him to defeat the other 2 as quick as possible. They had already started to look a bit more scared as there most curtain defeat was getting closer. "Alright Gentleman, I think you won't mind if I took the first turn right?" said Pierre as he drew his opening hand. And because the other 2 didn't object he also drew his sixth card. "Lets see, how are we going to do this" Pierre moved his finger of his cards from left to right until he got to the 4th card. "Perfect, I will set this monster face-down and these 3 cards face-down. And with this, I will end my turn"

 

OoC: Question about the rules of the Battle Royal: Am I right when I think that no one can attack or can the last in the round attack first?

Xero watched Pierre and the two others' duel while waiting for Cultin to respond. A faint wind suddenly blew a newspaper onto his leg and he looked down to see a picture of a woman in her fourties. The woman had long, black hair that had started to fade to grey and yellow eyes. Under the picture was a text saying: "42 y.o. Woman dead in heartattack!"

A chill was sent down Xero's spine and he felt like if he was going to cry, but he quickly shrug it off.

"Cultin! Are you there?"

IC: Damon looked up as the wind blew against his face. So far, nothing had happened, and while it had seemed like Damon had just been bored by the duel, Damon was actually watching the duel very keenly. His reason for looking up was he wanted to see if it was true, if the Nexus Ter really was here- Aha! There was Xero Skyblade, the second in command. But where was Cultin Inigada?

Damon had his suspicions about the Nexus Ter. Whatever they were doing, Damon knew it was not good. Just look at what had happened when the Duel Nexus came to town- there was an abnormal increase in deaths! Damon wasn't about to take deaths in his home city lying down, so he had been tracking the Nexus' movements for the last couple of days- and it was shifty. Sudden disappearances of members, deaths the next day. Whatever the Nexus is planning, Damon thought, I'll be ready to stop it.

 

OoC: Hmm. Wow. I was able to create a embittered enemy of the Nexus, all in one post. Pretty good, don'tcha think?

OoC: Alright, and you can call me ALZ

 

The Person who was after Pierre started laughing, it was a very aggresive looking guy." Pierre the calm of the Nexus Ter, what a great luck for me to be smashing the such a well know person right in the first round. I activated my "Mausoleum of the Emperor" And then I pay 2000 life points to summon my "Simorgh, Bird of Divinity" (2700/1000) next I set 2 cards face-down and end my turn." A very strong gust of wind came up and attacked the third player. "You see, during each end phase, you will take 1000 points of damage -500 for every Spell or Trap you control. Luckly for Pierre and me we had atleast 2 and we had took no damage, but you where not so lucky soldier." He said soldier almost of it was ment as an insult, but Pierre understood where he was coming from. His last opponent WAS a soldier, or more likely: an idiot who had dressed up like on.

 

"A Minor blow that won't hurt the changes of succes of this operation" the soldier said. "And this operation will start by me special summoning "Level Warrior" (300/600) in attack mode. Then I will Normal Summon "Maurding Captain" (1200/400) and use his effect to special summon another one from my hand. Then from my hand I activated the "The A. Forces" boosting the attack of all my monsters by 600 and I also activated United we Stand on my Level Warrior boosting his attack by another 2400! (Level Warrior: 3300, Marauding Captains: 1800) next I set 1 card face-down.

 

Pierre looked at the opponents there field, and smiled. He hadn't felt anything yet and didn't feel like making the duel to long. He drew his card, and saw he could finish it this turn.

OoC: Well, all right then, ALZ

 

IC: Damon could not help but be impressed by Pierre. From his distance, which was very close to the stadium floor, and with 20/20 vision, Damon was able to make out the card art on Pierre's cards. It was kinda hard to tell, but it looked like Pierre had a good hand. Damon was watching very closely to see what strategies Pierre would use. Because then...when Damon dueled him, he would be able to use those strategies against him. Really, though, where is the Ter leader? Damon wondered.

OOC: Sorry for not posting. I wasn't allowed on yesterday. Plus I've decided he wont be late. I wouldn't have anything to post.

 

IC: "Sorry, got distracted." Cultin said as he turned away from a bakery, within which he was looking at a giant chocolate bun. He shrugged it off and started walking again, looking at the dome he could see in the distance. "I've dueled thirty people down in daimon in the last two days, none of which had any dueling talent. The eye must be at the tournament. But one thing worries me. If this guy is as strong as you say, having the power of the eye, then what if he duels one of us. I understand that pierre isn't dueling one of them, I just saw him on a TV and if that's the best first move them others can do I doubt they are the holders, but what if either of us have the eye, then what do we do?"

 

OOC: Quick question, who will have the eye? Are you going to give it to a PC or an NPC?

OoC: All I can do is wait until Group 5 is called along...anyway...

 

IC: Mark continued to watch the duel's with interest. There really were some great Duelists here today...but then, He knew victory was never gonna be easy.

"...Who want's easy Victory anyway? where's the fun in that?" He muttered, as he watched the Duel that that 'Pierre' guy was in, folding his arms over the railing.

Xero chuckled.

"I'm sure the Eye is here somewhere. I know Pierre doesn't have it, I'm more worried about if I can trust you!" Xero laughed jokingly. "No seriously, we will find the Eye, and we will find it in the next three days!"

At the same time, Kuroda was watching the duel.

"That Pierre guys seems like a skilled Duelist." Kuroda smiled. "Maybe I'll be able to duel him in the Semi-Finals or Finals?"

 

((Xero joked about Cultin having the Eye. I dunno yet who will have the Eye, but it will probably be an NPC.))

OOC: Ok.

 

IC: "Funny. However, what if you have it, and are waiting for the oppertune moment to strike me and Pierre down. But I know you are loyal to Nexus and wuld never betray us. I'm outside the dome now, I'll see you in a minute." Cultin said, placing the phone in his pocket, and walking inside the dome. He walked to the entry office and showed his ID card. The man at the desk looked shocked and opened the entrance to the dome. Cultin walked up the stairs, getting odd looks from the people around him. He arrived at the end of the row Xero was on, luckily a nearly empty one appart from a few bodyguards for Xero. Cultin sat down beside Xero and joked, "How's Pierre doing? Do you think he's cracked under the pressure?"

 

OOC: Enter alternative character. Damien will take group six.

 

IC: Meanwhile, another shady man sat down on the edge of a row. He looked at the people around him, then lowered his cap. When they noticed the dueldisk on his arm they also looked away. Being an entrant into this tournament was grand, and earned you respect as a duelist. The man looked up at the giant screen, on which he saw his name in group six. "Well, five more groups. That means Five more duels. More time for me to plan.

((Xero's backstory))

 

"Pierre is doing good." Xero watched Pierre's duel. "He should defeat them soon, if I know him right." While he watched Pierre's duel Xero was twisting and twirling his phone between his fingers, but he soon stopped it and placed it back into his pocket. "So, no suspects in the Daimon Area?" Xero looked at Cultin. "I checked out the old B.A.D yesterday, and no one seemed suspicious over there."

[Magnet Soldier]

"Nope, noone in Daimon. Not a soul." Cultin said, still getting suspicious looks from the crowd. He was sitting next to the second in command of the Duel Nexus, and he looked like a complete nobody. He didn't dare take his hat of though, noone should see him. Not untill his duel anyway. "So, Noone in the B.A.D then. And Pierre didn't have much luck either? Then he might have left town. Hopefully though, he'll appear here, and in one of our matches. Anyway, good luck. Especially if you end up going against me." And he sighed, then tipped his hat up slightly, so only Xero could see his face. "One question. What happens if we retrieve the Eye before the end of the tournament? Do we pull out or do we continue on? Knowing you you'll have some surprise in store, but I'm not to confident with that analigy."

Xero looked at Cultin with a divious smile.

"We will stay." Xero said and pulled out a datapad. "You see, I got some information from one of my contacts, and the Semi-Finals and Finals will be held on a blimp, just like the Battle City." He showed Cultin the datapad. "My contact, who I will not emntion by name, is a man with power, and he owed me a favor. I made him change the route of the blimp so that it passes just by the Continent. That's why we need the Eye."

Xero placed the small datapad back into his pocket.

"Only the one with the Eye is able to see the Continent, and by the power of the Eye we will "unlock" the Continent."

 

((The devious plan is uncovered!))

"Alright Gentleman, I'm sad to say that I'm going to end this. I activated my "Ice Blast" discarding my "Punker Penguin" Monster from my hand to destroy your Marauding Captain and there for your attack lockdown. Then I activated my "Norhtern Light" to Special Summon my "Punker Penguin" from my Graveyard. By his effect a new one is summoned, and he also summons a new one. Next I activated my "Extreem Blizzard", if I have more monsters than my opponent, this trap lowers the ATK of all face-up monsters by 2000. So your Simorgh has now 700 ATK, and your Level Warrior 300 and your Marauding that is left and my monsters have 0. Than I summon my "Penguin Apprentice" and flip summon my face-down "Penguin Guard" and tune both of them and one of my "Punker Penguins" to Synchro Summon a lv 8 monsters:

 

"The Wings of Ice are opening up in the Sky! A Cold Future is Upon us! Synchro Summon! It’s time to chill, Freezing Emperor's Dragon!"

 

And immideatly activated his effect by removing my "Punker Penguin" from my graveyard freezing all our Spell and Trap cards. But just before that happens, in a chain to the activation of that effect I activated "Penguin's Grand Strike", Tributing my 2 other monsters to make my "Freezing Emperor's Dragon!" be able to attack 3 times as long as it is not a direct attack. Gentleman, here it ends for you, go my "Freezing Emperor's Dragon!" , finish them off."

 

(2700 - 0 (Marauding Captain = 2700)

(2700 - 0 (Level Warrior (Not 300, he lost attack when Marauding Captain left the field) = 2700)

(400 - 2700 - 2700 =0

 

(2700 - 700 (Simorgh) = 2000)

(2000 - 2000 = 0)

 

As Freezing Emperor's Dragon was ending this duel, Pierre was smilling, and on his as always calm face it looked like an

very evil smile, and it was one he kept until he after walked out of the arena.

Xero looked away from Cultin and saw Pierre's victory.

"Mehehe... Looks like Pierre did his job pretty well." Xero raised from where he was sitting. At the same time another guy raised from his seat a couple of rows in front of Xero and Cultin's seats. He looked back, saw Xero and made a "gulping" sound. Xero had a victorious smile on his lips while looking at the other duelist.

"So you're my opponent, Skyblade..." The guy said.

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" Xero said, still smiling.

"You will, soon enough..." The guy turned around and started walking towards the lobby.

"Hm, well. Thats good. And it's your duel now. I know I dont need to say it but Good luck." Cultin said, sarcastically, just managing to keep a laugh from erupting. Instead he grinned slightly and nodded at Xero, while he looked at Pierre coming up the stands. Then Pierre left. "Well, that's rude. He didn't even come to say hello. Well, he doesn't deserve it, unleashing his most powerful card there and then." And Cultin tutted while shaking his, attracting more unusual looks from the crowd. He sighed and crouched forward, looking forward to Xero's duel. "i just hope he doesn't go all out. He might actually destroy the stadium, and then what'll we do?"

[Alordzynix]

"If that would happen we would do our best to cover it up like usually right?" Pierre had taken the seat behind Cultin, even though he was talking a bit in the air but it was clear his talking was ment for Cultin. "It appears to me your not planning to show right now that you're the Nexus Number 1. If you would go from talking with Nexus Ter's Number 2 to talking with his Number 3 it would throw even more suspicion on you. I believe you to be planning something, and as the number 3 I see it as my task to at least make sure not to ruin anything. Therefore I chose to sit behind you"

"When you get there then." Cultin said, almost falling off his chair. Of course, he was faking this, but he wanted it to seem like he wasn't big. But that was only untill his duel. Then he would have to reveal himself. But he enjoyed a bit of secrecy and he disliked being the centre of attention, so it was good for now. "Well." Straightening himself and turning to face the duel, to avoid attention like Pierre said. "If you put it like that, how can I refuse." Cultin said, smiling, although noone could see it. "Anyway, why do you openly advertise your the Nexus Number three, aswell as showing one of your strongest cards in the first duel? That could cost us."
