OOC: Waterboy, can you please pay attention? I appreciate my post was long, but I stated quite early on Mel's purse is back in the pokémon world. She's also hiding anything distinctly feminine or suspicious under a man's coat.

Mel whipped round at the sound of the voice to see a boy, probably no more than about ten years old, looking at her and acting, in her opinion, like quite the know it all. She pulled the knife out of her pocket with her right hand, and with her left she pushed the boy up against the alley wall and lifted him up until their eyes were level. She held the knife in front of him, as a silent warning, the blade reflecting the moonlight.

 

"Idiot!" she hissed. "This place clearly lacks any pokémon, and yet you bring it up in front of a total stranger. Do you want to be locked up, or worse attacked? What's a boy like you doing out at night anyway? This place is quite obviously not a safe place for the naive to wandering about in after dark."

"And you talk too much, boy," Mel shot back. The boy clearly though he was something special, which may have been true, but he was still too naive for his own good, and his know-it-all attitude was irritating. Besides, he had that look of privilege about him, so she reckoned his family was rich or important, or even both. "Listen up, boy. Stop laughing and take this seriously, unless you want to die. You may like the dark in the grounds to whatever big house your parents raise you in, but the dark in a place like this is very different. You're lucky that it's me who's got you against this wall - if it was someone who wanted to harm you, they'd have done it by now. Now," she added, letting go of him and leaving him to slide down the wall, "how about you go home, and don't come back to slums like this again."

"I dont have a home, i dont have parents, and im not rich. im a gym leader, so i take care of myself." David explained. he knew the lady thought David was rich and famouse like he was in a movie. "i like the dark like THIS dark so just put the knife down lady."

OOC: Don't have David 'know' things. It's making him sound more like a Marty Stu than he already is, and frankly it's getting annoying.

 

"You're a gym leader?" Mel asked, actually surprised, "You're just a child. Clearly someone with influence likes you, otherwise there's no way you'd even be considered for the post. Whether you realise it or not, someone is pulling strings for you, giving you advantages most people don't get." Mel paused, and then flicked the knife back into the handle. "Take advantage of them," she stated. "You have unique opportunities, so don't ever throw them away, not for anything." Mel recalled a distant time when she was surrounded by people who would have moved mountains for her - probably literally - and yet she'd thrown it away over nothing.

 

"But still," she added, "for someone who claims to like the dark of the slums, you're way too friendly, kid. Even if you don't have a home, stick to the good parts of town after dark, or the ground of whatever gym you come from." Mel was still unconvinced by the boys claim to be a gym leader, figuring him instead to be a junior member of a gym, or perhaps a leader's kid. After all, ten year old children just didn't become gym leaders. "This place is desperate for anything it can get it's hands on, even little boys."

"oh so you say i shouldn't be in these parts. ok then, and yes i am in fact a gym leader. i beat the sinnoh champion, Cynthia and i became a gym leader, but not in sinnoh. I'm a gym leader in shard island" He explained, as he smiled without fear. He was wondering who this lady was. he did try to kill him because he was in the dark. "anyway, im David and who might you be."

So he could have just been very lucky, Mel considered, but still, beating a regional champion isn't enough to become a leader somewhere else. There's someone else behind the scenes here, even if he doesn't realise it. Well, I guess that's not important right now. "My name is unimportant," she told the boy, "besides, I'm not in the habit of handing it out to people I meet in alleyways, and you shouldn't be either. Now, David, is Shard Island nearby, or do you have a place to stay for the night?"

"yeah i do have a place to sleep, but i dont know what its called. to me it looked like a building with a whole bunch of guards called Sector Security Guards." David said to the lady. "there are two other people there as well, named Marie and i dont know the other boys name, but he hade a pikachu with him."

So he's in a place with local law enforcement. I don't like the sound of that at all. It sounds like some sort of prison to me. Despite her childhood, Mel had avoided arrest, and she didn't plan on letting her record be broken now. And what about the other two. The boy with the Pikachu probably knows nothing, so if anyone knows much about this place it's this Marie person. "Are the Sector Security Guards with Marie and the Mystery Boy right now?" she asked, "because if not, then I'd be interested in meeting with those two. I'm just not in the mood to deal with security people at the moment, you see. They tend to be rather bothersome."

"You took them down?" Mel asked, raising an eyebrow. If a kid, even one who claims to be a gym leader, could stop this 'sector security', it's people were probably hopelessly inept. Wouldn't be the first useless lot she'd met. "Ah, in that case I think I should meet with these friends of yours, so perhaps you could lead the way?"

 

"As for why I have a knife," she continued, "a knife is one of the most useful tools you can have, and this one goes in my pocket, so I always have it to hand." He did seem a bit worried when he asked about that, she mused, perhaps the danger's starting to hit home.

OOC: Um...there are no "Team" anything and only one or two characters please. There are duelists who have joined the Dark Signers to form the Dark Allience and a group of traniers and five new Signers that have joined forces. Also if you are a duelists please make up your own dragon.

 

IC: Marie held onto Black Crystal Dragon as she waited for the command to leave back home, but, for some reason, Marie never gave the order. She just sat there on her dragon's back. She felt another presence, a silver aura someplace around there. She was a Signer and so was that boy David. This boy here had a silver aura but had pokemon. For some reason this all felt...well....like it was supposed to happen! She slid off her dragon who looked at her and lowerd her head,"Looks like we'll be staying with these guys for awhile." Marie leaned up against the fey duel monster's leg and waited for David to reappear.

Marie looked up and saw David and another girl comming towards her and Black Crystal Dragon,"OK. Yeah its me! Someone wants to meet me?" This was interesting. Useually people ran in fear of her when they saw her, the Sorceress they called her because of her unique ability. But then again David, this guy and this new girl wouldn't know anything about that part of my life, Marie thought, They'll find out as soon as I duel somebody from here or New Domino.

Then she lept onto Black Crystal Dragon's back and looked at the new girl, strange boy and David,"Look I know we just met but I don't think dark allyways ar ethe best places to talk. If you guys get on we can talk someplace safer. But only if you want my help."

"You can carry the lady Marie, I got my Blue-Eyes. Go!" suddenly a blue-eyes came out of nowhere and growled. "Blue-Eyes take me back to where we fought those guards.

"Here is a tip for getting along in the Satellite: that may be a bad idea. The Facility isn't a good place to stay, its were those Sector Security Gaurds send people they think are criminals or that give them trouble.",Marie raised an eyebrow. So now I get to play Tour Guide. Fun. Oh well, if these guys have silver auras I guess we're stuck together now., Marie thought. "It might be better to fallow me to my place. You guys can stay there."
