Evelyn accepted Andrew's words and was confident that the girl would meet up with her later. Right afterwards they got out of the tavern and headed on their way to where the students would be sleeping, and Evelyn assumed, living. Things seemed a bit off though. Evelyn had felt something odd as they had move through the town, and not just because Flamme was closer to here than he had ever been able to be in his regular size. People were very concerned with getting their family inside and everyone was locking anything they could. When they stopped at a building Yaming and Andrew knocked and the group was greeted by Sewati. He too seemed like the idea of them being out past dark had worried him. Yaming apologized for being late.

"No, I should apologize. It was my fault we were late in the first place." Evelyn said in response to Yaming's apology to Sewati.

As they stepped inside Sewati locked the door and placed what looked like a seal over it. That was some serious protection. This only confirmed the odd feeling Evelyn had had previously. Something was up with the town and Evelyn wanted to find out.

"Is there... something going on?" she asked a bit unsure of what to say. "Everyone's so concerned with getting inside before dark." she said. With any luck, one of the three people present would tell her something.

Looking amongst each other Yaming, Andrew, and Sewati knew that it would be better to tell Evelyn the truth than hide it from her; as hiding the truth in the past has lead to needless deaths. Motioning to the cupboard Yaming nodded before begining to start some fresh herbal tea, Andrew starting the fire whilst Sewati eased back into his chair. Taking a deep breath he held his hands to his temples, "You see, in Roxas, we've always had trouble with . . . malevolant creatures around here."

"The most notable being the Yowie," Yaming said taking the pot and setting it upon the fire.

Evelyn could tell it was not a story the group was eager to tell but they were willing to do it regardless. "Malevolent creatures? Yowie? Attacking monsters is a problem in a lot of towns. How bad are we talking here? I mean, locking doors is one thing but placing seals on the door means that something magical is attacking right?" Evelyn said trying to understand the situation. From the group's reaction she could tell it was pretty bad around here. If the school of learning mages couldn't fight off monsters it either meant that the mages weren't all that powerful, or the monster was not of the ordinary variety. Sewati, from what Evelyn had seen, was a very powerful mage but even he couldn't deal with this situation?

"Hey Flamme, you have any idea what this Yowie is?" she asked her partner mentally just to see.

"No idea. I'm not familiar with this area, just like you. I'd suggest you wait for Sewati to explain." Flamme replied.

"I know you think Sewati should be strong enough to fight them off," Yaming said handing Evelyn a cup of hot tea, sitting herself in a stool beside the fire; Andrew having his eyes transfixed on the closed window, "And you are right."

Even though what Yaming said added to Evelyn's confusion, it was Sewati who finally cleared it up. Taking a sip from his cup, putting it down beside him, he held his palms out face up towards the young girl. Peering at his palms she could make out what appeared to be massive, deep scars that began from the center of his palm to the very tips of his fingers. Sighing he took the tea up and took another swig of it, "When I was young I wandered out into the night without my parents knowledge- despite the warnings I was told many times. Before I knew it the sun was setting and the Yowie were on the move . . ."

Waving his hand over the fire the image of a massive, ape-like humanoid appeared, it's mouth wide and fangs bared in a silent roar. Continuing Evelyn listened intensly, "However I managed to escape any Yowie that might have attempted to kill me. Instead . . . I was attacked by a creature known as a werebear- and cursed to become one myself."

Evelyn listened as the tale continued. She winced a bit at the sight of Sewati's scars. She also had a sort of "so that's how that happened" feeling when Sewati explained how he had been cursed by an encounter with a were-bear.

"And because of your curse, you can't fight them? Wait, I should have noticed it before when you shrunk Flamme. Your hand looked like it had transformed. So using magic accelerates the transformation? Then you can't fight the Yowie off without endangering the townspeople. So that's it then? The town just locks up each night and stays safe? How well has that worked so far? If that's an accurate depiction of the creatures in the fire then I don't think locks would be enough." Evelyn said. It was only after she had said what she said that she realized that it seemed quite inconsiderate to Sewati's feelings and she quickly started apologizing about it.

Sewati only laughed at how accurately she had analyzed the situation and at how critical she honestly was. Nodding his head Andrew agreed, but then mentioned the seals are wehat mainly keep the Yowie and any other creatures away; with Yaming adding in that locking the doors was only a visual comfert. Sewati, having finished his cup of tea, set it aside and continued, "You are pretty understanding Evelyn. Yes almost everything you've said is correct . . . however, like any were-creature, I am subject to a monthly change."

"In fact-" Yaming started, only to be interrupted by a sudden rapping on the front door, a large . . . paniced rapping . . .

In response to Sewati's observations about her, Evelyn was going to say "Well I'm only this good at things that interest me." However she never got the chance, and Yaming never got to say what she had wanted to as well, as there was suddenly knocking at the front door. When most people knocked on doors it was slow or relaxed. If it was fast like it was now it either meant the person was really excited or really scared, and Evelyn doubted it could be the former considering what Sewati had told her.

A force of habit, Flamme stepped in front of Evelyn. Evelyn would have told him that he wouldn't be able to do much while he was three feet tall but it wasn't the time. If someone was knocking on the door now that probably meant there were some nasty creatures around. Evelyn waited, rather calm despite what she'd been told, to see if someone would answer the door or leave it closed considering the circumstances.

Yaming and Andrew looked to Sewati, whom motioned for them to step back, and explained he'd head outside to see what was going on. Unsealing the door he handed it to Yaming, ordering her to reseal the door once he was outside, and stepped outside. With Sewati outside the sound of howls echoed through the night time air, sending chills down each person's spin. Not able to contain herself any longer Yaming looked to Andrew, "Do you think we could use a spell to see what is going on outside?"

"Probably, but we'd need a few things that just aren't here," he said, the sound of howls getting closer. Before anything else could be added on to the conversation the sound of someone screaming pierced the air.

"Never mind the spell, what was that?" Evelyn said as the screaming sounding from outside reached the group's ears. She began to run towards the door as if she was intent on going outside but Flamme grabbed hold of her leg.

"What are you doing Flamme? We have to help whoever that was." Evelyn said too preoccupied to worry if it was mental or not.

"I can't let you go out there. It's not safe. I won't let you put yourself in danger." Flamme answered her. Evelyn tried to pull her leg free but Flamme proved he wasn't going to let it happen.

"What if Sewati needs help Flamme? What if dies because we didn't check?" Evelyn said back.

"Then you'll have to let him! I'm not going to let you endanger yourself and everyone else here in the process. Sewati wouldn't want that either!" Flamme answered. Evelyn couldn't argue against that so she stopped. Flamme let go when he realized she wouldn't be fighting back anymore.

"So what do we do?" she asked Yaming and Andrew, wondering what else could be done in the situation.

Daena blinked in awe; the city turned out to be nothing like she expected. Everyone in Roxas was going about their everyday lives, as if the group was in some sort of fantasy movie. Irenia was surprised as well, and began to fly around excitedly, causing Daena to call her back and tell her to calm down. Daena couldn't blame her; the only reason why she wasn't running around with the fairy was because she didn't want to stand out.

Once the initial shock of the town wore off, Daena located Josh and walked up to him. She still needed to talk to him about the group's plan of action, and that she learned that he may be mistaken for nobility.

"So, what do you think?" Daena asked Josh. Daena's eyes kept wandering as she spoke with Josh, watching for anything interesting or dangerous.

Guest Tainted Black

Josh was awestruck by the city of Roxas. It was large and illustrious, nothing like he expected the city by the sea to be. He only heard the Question, from Daena, vaguely, and only after he was whipped by Ave. He smacked the bird's tail, before answering his companion. "I think... it's like nothing I have ever seen. Not at all how I imagined it would look when we got here... it seems.... ethereal. Not to mention the crowds... it's madness. Illustrious ethereal madness" He walked forward a little, before returning to Ave. "Stay out here, you feathered lumox." He tolf it, before getting pecked in the head, and turning around.

Ungulf and Magnanim merely smiled and walked up to the young travellers once they had finished setting up shop. Though the crowds were massive there was a short of undercurrent of order encompassing it; so that no matter now many people pushed and shoved their way in between them they never got seperated. Looking up at the largest building, hidden behind a thick iron wall, Ungulf then turned back to Josh and Deana, "I suppose this is were we part company. If I may ask children, where would you go now?"

"We can't do anything!" Yaming answered in a shrill voice, full of fear as she backed away from the door. Crouching down she scooted herself underneath the table and Evelyn could actually hear her begining to hyperventilate she was breathing so erradically. Shaking his head Andrew tried to pull her out from under the table, but only managed to get her to scratch at him in panic, "Then stay here Yaming! Evelyn take this and stay here!"

Tossing a blue vial to Evelyn Andrew marched over to the door, his arm turning red were he had been scratched, and let his fingers wrap around the knob. Taking a deep breath his other hand released the seal, "Look after Yaming and reseal the door once I get out. I am going aft-"

Interrupted by the sudden swinging of the door, Andrew was smashed in the face as the young girl from the tavern bolted in and slammed the door shut again. She was breathing, covered in a cold sweat, and her eyes were bigger than a dinner plates. Slumping to the ground she tried to regain her composure and didn't even noticing Andrew stagering to his feet; his hand over his mouth as a few drops of blood trickled down.

"Don't everyone fall apart on me." Evelyn said as the situation seemed to be exploding out of control around her. Yaming was panicking, Andrew was hurt, the Tamer girl from the Tavern was clearly scared and to top things off the door wasn't sealed anymore. In truth she was close to panicking too but Flamme helped her stay mostly clam. As the door could let potentially more dangerous things inside, Evelyn made that her top priority. She walked over to the door and resealed it after fumbling with it for a few seconds to see how it worked. It wasn't all that complicated but it was effective.

"At least with that no one, or nothing, else is going to barge in." Evelyn thought.

Next to do was to check on the Andrew and the girl quickly and then go help Yaming calm down before she passed out. She decided to check on Andrew first as he was hurt.

"Andrew, you're okay right? I need to get to Yaming, are you going to be fine on your own?" she said as she stood next to him. He hadn't passed out but that smash to the face hadn't looked fun. She turned to the girl who had barged in so quickly.

"Like I told Andrew I need to go help Yaming. Now do you think you could try to explain what's happening? Take a moment but we need to know what's going on." Evelyn said. With that she turned back to Yaming, Flamme following her as she moved around the room.

"Yaming. You have to calm down. The door's sealed, nothing's going to get in here. Just try and stay calm. Panicking won't help." she said. She wasn't great and comforting people but she had to try something to keep everyone level-headed, even if she was ready to freak out as well.

Nodding his head Andrew removed his hand from his mouth, showing that the extent of the damage was a tooth had been knocked loose. Spitting the last bits of blood out he turned the the Tamer girl and shoved her away from the door, more focused on the actual seal than her well being at the moment. While he examined the seal Yaming had thrown her arms around Evelyn and was crying in a panic, "Don't let them in . . . don't let them get me . . ."

"Its already too late," the Tamer girl said standing up, having regain her composure enough to speak, and walked over to Yaming and Evelyn. She sighed and slouched down beside the two and Evelyn could see a tear rolling down her cheek, "I thought the stories about being out at night were just children's ghost stories."

"They aren't," Andrew interrupted ripping the seal off of the door and backing away. Looking at both girl's astonished faces he held the seal were they could see it clearly- the symbols having been smugged beyond recognition, thus ruining the seal. When the reality that they were perverbially 'out in the open' the entire room grew eerily quite as the beasts from outside encroached upon them. Taking a small wand out from his pocket Andrew waved it above his head and a Baku appeared before him, saluting the young boy, "Yes sir!?"

"We have trouble . . . get ready to fight like a madman!" Andrew said, a grin hiding his fears while the shutters and wooden boards began to rattle and shake with the footsteps of teh creatures outside.

"We've got friends to look for," Daena replied after turning toward the man and the unicorn. "We don't have any clues, but we'll figure something out."

Although Daena said this, she had no idea how to start looking. In fact, the only idea she had right now was just asking around, but that may not be the wisest idea, since while Ungulf and Magnanim were amicable, she had no idea about the culture of this new world, and what was acceptable or not. Daena soon found herself deep in thought, still unable to figure out where to go from here.

Things weren't looking good for the group now. They still didn't know what had happened to Sewati and now the seal couldn't do anything for them anymore. The girl had confirmed the presence of dangerous monsters, but the rattling windows was more than enough to confirm that. Knowing a fight was ahead of them, Evelyn used her Tamers system to draw Torrent, a light blue book that allowed for water-based attacks. Flamme stepped in front of her in his usual position, obviously forgetting that his new size prevented him from being too effective in battle.

"No Flamme, you'll only get yourself killed if you stand in front of me." Evelyn told him mentally.

"I'm not moving, now don't argue. Focus on what's going to happen." Flamme told her back.

Evelyn gave up on arguing and stood with her tome open at the ready to attack should something come in the room. Andrew was ready to fight but Evelyn wasn't sure how much Yaming and the girl could do at the moment.

"So now what? We just wait for something to attack us?" Evelyn asked. She wanted to be able to do something more than wait, but going outside to do something just wasn't an option.

"I would say its best to wai-" Andrew began but was interrupted by the sound of snapping boards, followed swiftly by the sight of a Yowie being thrown through the wall next to him. Spinning around everyone could see the massive, ape-like, behemouth standing to its full height of eight feet; the beasts yellow teeth bare with the red stains of blood. Giving a howl it leapt for Crystal but Andrew managed to get in the way in time and knock the Yowie off its footing enough to send it into the fireplace, where it began to cry in pain from the flames.

"Andrew!?" Yaming screamed once he had fallen to his knees after striking at the beast, his hands held tightly over his shin. Whincing in pain he stood back up as the first Yowie crashed through the window only to roll around to get the fire out, "My shin . . . I think I broke it hitting that damned thing!"

"Honest, sir!?" the Baku asked floating over to his master, examining the red swollen leg. Sure enough Andrew had either hit the beast with enough force, or it was extremely hard to injure the creatures. Stopping, chills running down their spins, everyone could hear the sounds of the Yowie howling . . . and coming closer. Knowing Andrew couldn't move without assistance Yaming, gaining the will to face her fears, stood up shakily and held out her hands, "Evelyn give me some support on the left! Andrew the right! And as for Flamme I need you to cover out backs until Master Sewati returns!"

"Wow," Crystal whispered under her breath, only being heard by Flamme and Evelyn, "who knew she could be so . . . assertive . . ."

"Hmmm," Ungulf mused in deep thought along with Daena, unsure how he would move if he was in their position. Finally shrugging his shoulders he stopped a passerby to give his speal about buying some goods before returning to his thoughts. Unable to think of anything the old man walked over to Magnanim and whispered into the unicorns ears, "Well?"

"I suppose," he replied and gave a shake of his main. Turning back to Josh and Daena Ungulf smiled before tossing them a handful of fliers, "Ya'll children are hired now. Go through th' town an' hand these fliers to everybody who you see."

Things happened very quickly but Evelyn had expected it to happen that way. But regardless it was all startling when Andrew was attacked. The Yowie was massive and was truly frightening. Considering there had been screaming earlier and the fact that there was blood on this monster, it had probably been attacking someone not too long ago. Suddenly Yaming stopped panicking and gave out orders to attack the one beast in the room.

"Who does she think she is ordering me-" Flamme started. Evelyn wasn't going to let it happen.

"Just do like she says Flamme!" Evelyn told him. Evelyn moved to Yaming's left, her tome was glowing the same bright blue as its cover. She was ready to cast when it would be needed. Flamme took a position behind the others. He would attempt to stop anything from coming up behind them, though he wondered if he would really be able to stop a Yowie if it came in at once. At least he would be able to tell the others when something was coming.

"What's the plan Yaming? We need to kill this thing fast!" Evelyn said as she stood to Yaming's left as requested. Yaming seemed to have something in mind so Evelyn didn't want to simply just cast a spell that might mess up what she had planned.

"We can't kill these things," Yaming said while her energy started to flow into her palms, the sight of glowing yellow eyes approaching from the forest causing them to jump, "We have to wait until Master Sewati arrives."

"Or until first light," Andrew added in drly, his Baky helping him stand so he could help in anyway possible. Nodding her head Yaming knew that Sewati possibly was being engulfed in a horde of Yowie as they themselves were begining to face the same fate and that their best, though slim, chance would be to hold out until morning. The sound of a crashing board made everyone jump as a Yowie decended from above, landing next to Andrew and taking hold of his shoulder, the claws digging in and drawing blood! Yelling in a mix of suprise and pain Andrew thrusted his wand into the beast's face and let out a magical blast that blinded it.

"Now!" Yaming yelled as the glowing yellow eyes now sprinted for the group- the assault on their tiny cabin now truly starting.

The creature was now blinded and as Andrew had noted, there was a perfect opportunity to attack it. Evelyn somehow doubted they couldn't be killed, but regardless, she decided to focus on preventing the creature from killing anyone as opposed to killing it. She shifted the book in her arm slightly as she began the spell.

"Let's see how it likes this!" Evelyn thought. The glow of the book grew brighter and as it did some mist could be felt around it. There was moisture building around the tome as the spell was cast.

"You'll be dashed by this wave! Torrent!" Evelyn called out. Though saying anyting other than the spell name was unneeded, Evelyn liked adding little phrases to make things sound cooler; though it probably only made things sound lame. Water appeared in the air until it grew into a thin circle of water about five feet in diameter. Perhaps it was just the magic, but the edges of the disc looked sharp enough to cut. As it happened they were. The blade launched at the Yowie and due to the angle would hit the beast's arm before the chest. Still Evelyn couldn't think of a way it could save itself from the attack. Though she didn't want to get cocky, that could be bad.

Occ [ sorry for not posting in a awhile}

Iceis watched as the pirates, the little human under her along with a whinny goblin. She didn't like this one bit. I'm ending this know! She though, Her head shot back, icicles formed at her mouth, right before she let lose a storm of ice and snow. Ethril jumped from the ground to her head. Then raising his hands to the sky, his eye's glowing red. Glowing dust seamed to swirled around his hands for a moment, it looked as if he hand dozens of fire fly's in his hands. Then it swirled down from his hands down around Iceis head then around her neck down to her body, then over her wings ending with it circling her tail. Neither Ethril or Iceis moved while this was happening, at the end of it Icies eyes where glowing dark blue just like Ethrils was glowing dark red. Iceis then released the blast which was now pure freezing beam, hurling at the dumb struck pirates watching. With a bright glowing light It hit the pirates, with screams of agony they where frozen each one in a different position. Frozen for ever in an icy prison by an ice that wouldn't melt by the sun, rain ,or by fire of any type. They where their for all time, not dead but frozen their to think of their crimes.

After the Imus attack Ethril shook a bit then fell to the ground. He was panting heavily but no worse for the ware, but then Icies fell over panting just as hard as Ethril. The girl just looked around at them, she was just as stuned as Rift . Rift ran over to them, kneeling be side them he carefully checked them over ,other than being completely worn out they where fine.

What was that. He said as he looked them over. Both creatures eyes where back to normal. Iceis just look over at him, as if to say something, but was too tried to speak. Rest now love one, and I think i,ll keep the goblin. He might be useful after all. When Rift said this a Big smile appeared on Ethril's face. Rest well, Ethril! Rift said as he watched Iceis curled the goblin up in her tail then curl up around him. Rift then got up, looked over to the girl ans asked why are they using you.

"Huh..."

Daena scratched her head for a moment, but eventually nodded in response, once everything sunk in. "Alright then, we'll go do this for you," she replied, turning to face the large crowd. It was intimidating, but it at least gave her an excuse to observe the townspeople and wander the town.

And she did observe. A few people freaked out that advertisers were staring at them. It didn't help that much; Daena didn't learn anything new from her borderline privacy invasions, and soon found herself taking a break on a bench along the main road.

Irenia weaved through the moving crowd and found her way to Daena, and landed on her lap. She merely looked up at her partner and shook her head, causing Daena to sigh in response. Maybe we're... on the wrong track? Daena thought as she lazily stared ahead. How are we going to find our way back like this? Maybe I'll ask Josh about this...

When the girl didn't answer, he sook his head then said " Well what ever ther where doing to you their no threat now. be gone, and live well." With that he truned back to the sleeping Iceis and Ethril. He looked them over more than once befor , but he was just makeing sure nothing had happen to them during the ...unusual attack that Ethril used to make Icies's attack so powerful. THe proof of that was rigth behind him. THe priates where still frozen in place, their fear on their face still showed.

"So where to go know." Rift said looking around. His head stopped on the forest. Their was smoke comming from them. Not much smoke, but just enough smoke was rolling over the top's of the trees to becomeing from a chimne. He looked at it for along time. " That's where we will head next." He desided it after watching it for awile. " Are you going with us." he said to lance.

"Now!" Yaming yelled as the glowing yellow eyes now sprinted for the group- the assault on their tiny cabin now truly starting. The creatured that had been blinded by Andrew was in the perfect position to be countered and Evelyn took her shot; however she doubted they couldn't be killed, but regardless she decided to focus on prevented them from killing anyone. Shifting the book in her arm slightly she began to rercite a spell as the sound of snapping boards began to fill every space in the cabin. "Let's see how it likes this!" Evelyn thought while the glow of the book grew brighte and as it did some mist could be felt surrounding them. Kicking one of the Yowie in the chin, causing a few of it's bottom teeth to snap out, Crystal looked over in amazement while the spell finished charging to full power, her whispering to herself, "Woah . . ."

"You'll be dashed by this wave! Torrent!" Evelyn called out, though saying anything other than the spell name was unneeded, Evelyn liked adding little phrases to make things sound cooler; though it probably only made things sound lame. The first of the Yowie had broken in, others still where breaking through the walls and roof, when Water dropplets appeared in the air until it grew into the size of a large beach ball. Tripping over one of the knocked over chairs Andrew clutched his previous injury as a Yowie loomed over him, its mouth wet with saliva just gnashing it's teeth towards him, and Evelyn focused her spell until it was compressed into a thin circle about five feet around. Once the beast leaned its head down to bite Andrew, Evelyn's blade launched at the Yowie; and because of her inexperiance at magic curved in the air so it would hit the beast's arm instead of the chest. With a howl the beast's entire arm was severed from it's body and it toppled over in pain, blood spurting from the decapitated limb as the other Yowie took a step back in an odd stunned moment. Andrew had managed to stand up by then, coughing and scrambling back to Evelyn, "Thanks . . ."

"That was impressive Evelyn!" Yaming said spin kicking a stunned Yowie while she had the chance and Flame spewed some fire at another; though due to his size it merely charred the Yowie. Though they were getting a few of them more just kept coming through the doorway, which was being broken wider by other Yowie to let more in at a time, and everyone was begining to loose hope. Andrew's Baku turned its back and spewed what looked like a purple liquid over the remaining wall and, to Crystal and Evelyn's astonishment, the wall started getting eaten away as if it was covered in acid. With a new hole wide enough for everyone to get out of, though one at a time, the Baku turned back to his master, "Sir I've given us an opening!"

"Alright Baki! Everyone get out and try to make a break for the cemetary!" Andrew said as another Yowie took a swip at him, leaving the front of his shirt shredded and covered in blood. Yaming turned to look at Andrew and then at everyone else, "You're planning on being the last person out aren't you!"

"I suppose," Magnanim replied and gave a shake of his main. Turning back to Josh and Daena Ungulf smiled before tossing them a handful of fliers, "Ya'll children are hired now. Go through th' town an' hand these fliers to everybody who you see."

"Huh," Daena scratched her head for a moment, but eventually nodded in response, once everything sunk in, "Alright then, we'll go do this for you."

Taking a arm full of fliers she and the others turned to face a very large crowd. It was intimidating but, to Daena, it at least gave her an excuse to observe the townspeople and wander the town. And that is what she did, well . . . she handed out fliers but she also made sure to observe people as much as she could. It didn't help that much though as she didn't learn anything new from her new 'job' and soon found herself takinga break on a bench along the main road. She was far enough away that nobody would suffle past her but she was still close enough to see the main street busteling with activity. CLosing her eyes Daena could feel about half the stack of fliers remaining in her arms, her forehead covered in sweat from having walked around in the blistering heat, and never noticed Irena while she thought, "Maybe we're . . . on the wrong track?". The tiny fiary had been weaving through the moving crowd until she found Daena and landed on her lap with a sigh, obviously tired herself. Fanning her face she merely looked up at her partner and shook her shirt, causing Daena so sigh in response. Looking down Irenia could see the small doubt in her partner's eyes as she spoke melincolly, ""How are we going to find our way back like this? Maybe I'll ask Josh if he has any ideas . . ."

Standing back up Daena was about to shuffle back into the swift current of the crowded walkways when the sound of people talking loudly caught her attention. In fact it seemed that most of the people stopped moving as the sound of clanking metal rang throughout the towns streets. Breaking into the crowd she could see soldiers escorting what looked like a high ranking official to his homestead, a giant Roc trotting beside him. Her eyes transfixed on the Roc Daena notted that it was twice the size of Ave and a lot more . . . regal might be the best word . . .

Covering the little human under her wings along with the whinny goblin, Iceis watched the pirates advance their way; she didn't like the direction the situation was heading and decided to end the games- now! She shot her head back and opened her mouth wide, snow flakes forming just beyond her open maw, and before she let lose a powerful blast of ice and snow her eyes began to glow a dark blue; freezing the pirates on the beach once she had released her attack. Shaking her head Iceis looked over as Eithal stumbled to the ground, somehow exhausted himself though he had done nothing, and then felt herself suddenly become exhausted. Shaking off the tired aches in her body Iceis changed her attention back to the human girl, who just looked up at her with wide eyes. Though stunned by Iceis' attack the girl still jumped once Rift appeared beside her and placed a hand on Iceis, "What was that? I never seen you use something that can freeze an opponent that quickly . . ."

"I am unsure myself," Iceis said glancing back to Eithal, who hide behind her tail, "Though I believe it would be best not to let that goblin out of our sight."

"So Eithal allowed to stay with man child and big lizard and girl child!?" Eithal said almost squealing he was so filled with joy. Making a comment about how 'I don't think we could've gotten rid of you even if we wanted to' Rift was quickly given a near back breaking hug by Eithal and the goblin went to hug Iceis, but stopped once she gave a low growl at him. Jumping around Eithal began to run up and down the beach as he chanted that 'Eithal have family now'. Shaking his head Rift got up and looked over to the girl, "So why where they using you- the pirates I mean."

"I-It's because," the girl meekly said, her eyes looking down and away from Rift as she attempted to speak, "They were holding me captive to lure people to rob . . ."

"Well they are no threat to you anymore. Now be gone," Rift said coldly and with that turned his back to Iceis and Eithal, only to have the goblin latch onto his shirt ans start rapidly shaking his face, "Man child cannot leave girl child all alone out in the cold cold wilderness! Man child must help pretty girl child because man child helped Eithal when Eithal was in trouble! Man Child!!!"

"If I can say something," the girl said, causing Eithal to stop and both of them to look over at her, which made her glance away for a moment. Looking back at Rift she reached out and took the front of his shirt, feeling the material between her fingers before letting go, "I can tell by your unusual clothing you aren't from around here . . . so . . . I mean . . . I could be . . ."

"Out with it child!" Iceis said opening an eye, aggervated over the girl's flustered way of speaking. Standing straight up like a toy soldier the girl gave a cortious bow and then blurted out embarrassed, "I could be your personal guide since you helped save me from enslavement from the pirates I'd much rather work for you since you seem to be a good person and also I do owe you Would that be alrigh?!"
