This had caught not only Andrew and Yaming''s attention, but everyone in the taverns as well, after all Evelyn had yelled initially. Crystal, realizing who Evelyn was, motioned for her to be quite and nodded her head, "If you'll just place your 'order' I'll bring it right back for you ma'am."

Taking a glass of water Crystal walked back over to the owner of the tavern, explaining that she did not know what the magi student was speaking about, and then disappeared behind the door. Now alone Andrew and Yaming both began questioning Evelyn feverishly about what she had said.

Evelyn sat back in her chair a bit embarrassed now that she had yelled. She tried not to look at anyone in the tavern who she felt were surely staring back at her. Andrew and Yaming began asking questions with great speed. Flamme nudged at her leg as they did so. Evelyn heard her say that she didn't know what she was talking about.

"She was lying. She had to be. That was her. I know it was. You saw her nod her head. She must know who you are." Flamme said.

"But you were unsure of it initially weren't you? It must not have been her. I mean, it seems like it is but I don't know." Evelyn told him.

"Maybe initially I wasn't certain, but that was her. I don't think anyone else could look like that." Flamme said.

"You're right. She did seem to know what I was talking about. I just wish I hadn't yelled like that. I feel so stupid now." Evelyn said.

"There's not much you can do about that." Flamme said.

"You're right." Evelyn said back.

Evelyn turned back to the questions that were being asked of her. She was slouched and leaning forward, again not wanting to look at the rest of the tavern. It was clear that Crystal didn't want others knowing about them knowing each other so Evelyn decided it was best to not let the others know she knew Crystal.

"I thought I knew her from somewhere. I guess it must have been my mistake, she doesn't recognize me. Now that I look again I've never seen her before. Just someone who looked like her." Evelyn said quietly.

Yaming got a wide smile, one that said all too well 'I know you're lying', and leaned in close as well. Asking her again why she had yelled like that and how she knew someone from the tavern despite stating she had never been to Numees was something she was not very interested in. While the banter between Yaming, who was hell bent on getting the truth from Evelyn, and Evelyn wagged on Andrew stood up and acted as if he was heading towards the restroom. While the two girls conversed he slipped back behind the tavern and spotted Crystal.

"So you know that girl from somewhere don't you?" he asked while she still had her back towards him, making her jump in suprise. Turning around Crystal was releaved that it wasn't who she was afraid it would have been and gave him a warm smile, "The young lady who spoke to me? Well . . ."

"You don't have to say anything just yet," Andrew said waving his hand while turning back to the front door, "But keep your promise and meet her later on today"

"I will," Crystal called back with a smile. A shout from inside caught her attention and she ran quickly back inside to continue her 'job'.

" Ho, @#$% " Rift said as electricity, shot through his body. Iceis now could see this foe perfectly. Lightning bing the signal for her attack. SHe let lose a beam of subzero temprature. Fireing it first in front of the electricity, then around her foe makeing a prison of ice ,both strong and cold enough to traping them in it for a long while. but they started to notice they where gaining strangth the longer the stayed in their prison of ice.

Rift was lieing on the ground, he was still alive. Iceis when over to him, " Well that worked well, should we heal up be for we deal with our new guest's." She said looking at the pirates that had them all sourrounded.

" Fine do it." HE wispered as he got up slowly useing his sword as akane to lift him self up.

Iceis then used her beam to freeze both Rift and her self in a thick ball of ice. Makeing the pirates look on in shock.

Josh noticed Irenia following as he neared the town. Seemed that she had finally caught up. "Alright, you huge bird, land." The bird made a cawwing noise, as it began a steady circle downward. Josh sat calmly, the change in direction causing him no discomfort. He let Ave get all the way to the ground before hopping off, and waiting for his companions. "Glad we found that old man, eh, you spoony bird?" He chuckled at the really old joke, as the bird looked at him quizzically.

Aaron/Lancet let at a sound of dissaproval by this act as the mist began to dissipate. 'This thin and gangly prison will not last long, we may as well bide our time until we can free ourselves and end those two' Aaron/Lancet said, regarding the ice prison Rift and Iceis had made for themselves. He sat down cross legged and vanished the Dragon Bane lance, just waiting for the prison to melt.

"Ah!"

Daena waved her hand to signal Josh as he circled around to land. Once Irenia dispelled the float magic, Daena ran up to him, with her fairy chasing after. Instead of just gliding as she normally does, she pushed off the ground with more force than usual to catch up. Thus, she found herself needing to catch her breath once she finally stood in front of him and his Roc.

"Are you okay?! You weren't mobbed or anything? No one strange showed up?" Daena asked Josh, not even giving him a chance to answer the first question. Finally, she collapsed on the ground, sitting in the dirt, looking up at him waiting for a response.

Josh blinked, and Ave did the same, both of them wearing a look of 'What just happened?' They cast each other a glance before Josh finally spoke. "Umm... no, I'm fine. I was flying. Not many things get into the air, y'know..." He let out a nervous chuckle. Ave used his tail and slightly hit Josh, eliciting some snapping at the roc. The large bird was chuckling internally, though he could not really chuckle. He just cawed, and settled0 down, ignoring Josh.

Josh finished his tirade, and returned his gaze to Daena "So, what is this place called again?"

"Man child!!!" Eithal screamed through the fog, brining Aaron and Lancet's attention to him, and both of the Tamers were suprised when the fog was dispelled so easily. Standing a few feet from each other they could see the pirates had surrounded them and their leader, the one owning the Isonade, had a hold of Eithal and the woman; the later he had a knife to their throat. Smirking he taunted, "Order your beasts to stand down or I'll slit her throat and the goblin's as well . . ."

"Man child and big llizard don't let Eithal die here!!!!"

"Well, anyway, I should catch up to Josh to make sure he's okay," Daena said while knowing Rose seemed fine traveling with the man and unicorn, besides, she was a player who didn't get offed early on in the tournament; so she should have some skills, even in this world.

Daena flew along the path to Roax, until Josh noticed that Daena had been following him; once again utilizing Irenia's float magic. As the town came into view over the horizon, she hoped that Josh didn't get into trouble; especially with Ave, his Roc. She'd have to disguise her bow as well, to avoid getting unwanted attention drawn to herself. Patting her Tamer's shoulder Daena looked over and smiled at Irenia, who had sensed Daena's fustration, "Don't worry, we'll be fine."

"Alright, you huge bird, lets go ahead and land here," JOsh said patting Ave, making the bird give a loud caw as it began to steadyily cicrlce downward. Waving to each other Daena dispelled her float magic and ran up to Josh once he landed. Josh sat calmly until Ave had finished his landed before hopping off, "Glad we found that old man, eh?"

"Are you ok? Anything happen up there?" Daena asked, with her fairy chasing after, and waited for Josh to answer. He blinked and Ave did the same, both of them wearing a look of 'what just happened', and shot each other a glance before Josh finally spoke, "Ummm . . . no . . . I'm fine. I was flying, not many things get into the air, y'know?"

He let out a nervous chuckle when Ave used his tail to slightly hit Josh in the back of the head, pushing him into Daena, and chuckled internally; though he could not really chuckle. He just cawed and settled down, ignoring Josh's small rant. Returning his attention to Daena, "So, what is this place called again?"

"It's called Roxas, the city by the sea," Ungulf answered behind Josh's back, catching both him and Ave by suprise while they continued to mosey on along the trail.

"Sorry, sorry..." Daena replied, laughing nervously, relieved that nothing really happened yet. It seemed that Ungulf had caught up too, messing up any plans to tell Josh what she learned. No matter, she thought to herself. I'll tell him when we get a chance later.

"We just can't be too careful, right?" she said, smiling, though it was still obvious she was still worried about something. "Besides, we're almost to Roxas, so..." Daena trailed off, not quite sure what she was going to say. "Maybe we can finally rest," she finally spoke up, intent on finishing her sentence. Taking one more breath, she stood up straight, as Irenia enchanted Daena with Float again. The small fairy landed on her shoulder and gripped tightly to the robe there, tired from casting and dispelling the same spell repeatedly. While it was good practice, she still wasn't that good at casting it.

Evelyn had figured her lie wasn't going to hold well. Yaming and Andrew weren't stupid. Yaming told her she knew it was a lie and Evelyn wasn't sure what to do next. She couldn't say too much or she might get into a really awkward conversation. Telling Yaming that she was only part of a computer program wasn't something Evelyn was eager to do.

"What do I do Flamme?" she asked him a bit panicked.

"Just tell her the truth. Nothing else will get her off your case." Flamme answered. It wasn't the answer Evelyn had been looking for to be certain. During her thinking she hardly noticed Andrew get up and leave.

"...I'm no good at lying. I saw her not too long before I ran into you guys. There was a whole big group of Tamers and their monster partners gathered and then something happened and we were all separated and I ended up around here not knowing where I am. I was looking for them, not that they're my friends in fact I hardly know any of them. But while I was looking I saw a group and thought it might be them. And that's when Flamme and I ran into your group. She looks a lot like one of the people who was there and it's hard to think that she isn't. I guess seeing someone I recognized at all was a bit of a shock." Evelyn said to Yaming.

Sven walked into the tavern followed by Trago. He didn't really recognize anyone who was there, probably cause he was on his own and forgot anyone he had encountered in the training. Regardless he walked over to a booth and sat down, Trago laid at his feet. He put both elbows on the table and his hands on his face. Then closed his eyes like he had just gone through a long travel without sleep. Trago kept watch however, at the many to be onlookers that may have seen them come in.

"Sorry . . . I'm sorry," Daena replied, laughing nervously, relieved that nothing really happened yet. Looking behind them she could see Ungulf, Magnanim, Rose and Grunhelm had caught up to them; messing up any plans to tell Josh what she learned. "No matter," she thought to herself while the group travelled on, "I'll tell him when we get a chance later."

"So Ungulf?" Magnanim replied as he shook his reigns, waking the old man from his drifting slumber, "I do not suppose that these noble children thought to bring any currency along with them."

"Looking like that be right so," Ungulf said after a yawn and a stretch, looking at the three teenagers and their partner. Scratching his head the old man and unicorn watched as all three grew a bit nervious.

"We just can't be too careful, right?" Daena spoke, smiling, though it was still obvious she was still worried about something, "Besides, we're almost to Roxas, so . . ."

"We should be able to aquire funds there," Rose added in once Daena trailed off, not quite sure what she was going to say.

"And maybe we can finally rest," Grunhelm concluted, accidentally interrupting Daena who had intented on finishing her sentence. Taking one more breath, Irenia enchanted Daena with Float again, and the couple began to take off ahead of the group.

The small fairy landed on her shoulder and gripped tightly to the robe there, tired from casting and dispelling the same spell repeatedly. While it was good practice, she still wasn't that good at casting it. Though before they were able to get far enough they could feel Ungulf's cane, which up until now had rested beside him, strike them on the back with enough force to cancel their Float Spell. Looking up they both could see him standing up while the cart was still in motion, "I would advise not to use any magik while we are nearing or within Roxas' walls, my dear child."

"Well this has been a fun and exciting time, eh?" Sven called back to Trago while the bell of the tavern rang out their arrival. Gazing the crowd of barfolk, keeping the brow of his hat low, he didn't recognize anyone who was there; probably wouldn't have even if there was a familiar face seeing as he had forgotten nearly everyone he had encountered in the training. Regardless he walked over to the bar and pulled up a seat next to a drunken couple, laughing and teasing each other in a manner you would think they'd do in private, Sven's gaze broken by the barkeeps shrill voice, "What'll it be boy?"

"What do I do Flamme?" Evelyn asked her partner, a bit panicked. Shaking his diminutive head the wyvern answered back mentally, "Just tell her the truth. Nothing else will get her off your case."

Needless to say it wasn't the answer Evelyn had been looking for; all the while Yaming watched her with a wide grin, both girls unaware that Andrew had left. Attempting to explain everything Evelyn told Yaming about the big group of Tamers, how something had happened to seperate them all, and that now she had ended up where she was found. Nodding her head Yaming understood to some point, completely unaware that she was speaking about a whole 'nother world, and then interrupted without thinking, "So you were looking for your friends when we ran into you?"

"Well," she started, looking over her shoulder, "They're not exactly my friends . . . in fact I hardly know any of them. But that girl looks a lot like one of the people who was there."

"So you were just suprised that you saw a familiar face," Andrew added in while he took his seat next to Yaming again, suprising both of them. Nodding his head to Yaming, almost telling her to drop the subject, he took his now warm drink and gulpped it down quickly before standing back up. Smiling he pointed towards the door, "I think it's about time we start heading back to the cabins, it's nearly night time."

"Ugh my head feels like a jack hammer is pounding it," Sven thought while closing his eyes, rubbing the brow of his forehead, like one would do after a long flight; and heard the barkeep repeat himself a bit more annoyed this go 'round. Answering back that he'd like to get something that'd wake him up; which the barkeep began to make out of, what appeared to be, randomly choosen glass bottles. Turning in his seat, the couple beside him having vanished to somewhere more private, Trago leapt ontop of the stool and watched the many onlookers. A loud cough from behind and Sven took the glass, filled with a dark greenish liquid, and grudgenly downed it quickly; though once the aftertaste finally passed away he found himself wide awake once more. Setting the glass down he tossed three copper crowns to the barkeep and continued to watch people through the muggy window, "So this is Aolani, Capital of Nomen, eh?"

"Huh?" Daena was more surprised at the statement Ungulf made than the fact that he smacked her out of the air with his cane. Wasn't this a magical world, after all? "Is there something wrong with Irenia's magic? Or maybe-Ahh!"

Irenia pulled on Daena's ear this time to make sure she didn't start on another tirade. Daena was frustrated, but was pulled out of her current thought pattern, just as Irenia wanted. There was no need for her to go embarrass herself. Again.

"Anyway," Daena continued, quickly recovering. "Something going on in Roxas?" She had begun to walk now, a little sore that she couldn't continue to glide through the air as before. It was addicting; using float in the game felt nothing like this. Still, depending on the situation at Roxas, she would need to prepare appropriately. Well, as appropriately once could, with a magic bow, crossbow, and knife could.

"Not exactly Roxas my dear child," Ungulf said nodding his head, whilst tugging on his short white beard and contiued his train of thought, "But more as the entirty of Nomens itself."

Stomping his hoof Magnanim neighed, making Ungulf stop and then give his already recognizable shrill laugh. Waving his hand at the stunned youngsters looking at him he mentioned that there wasn't any further detail they should know about, but that it would just be wise not to use magik while anywhere near a town or well populated area.

Once Andrew came back both he and Yaming agreed it was time to get going. When Evelyn took a look outside it was getting close to dark. She got up and pushed her seat in.

"Right then. I would say let's get going but I don't know where I'm going, so lead the way." Evelyn said. Flamme came out from under the table and stuck behind Evelyn quite closely as he normally would have done if he had been his normal size.

"Okay so we made it through one day here. But what's after this? Find Jake is a bit too general of a goal but there's no other steps to take. Find other players is, oh wait. That girl said she'd talk with me! I can't believe I almost forgot that. I wonder where I'm supposed to meet up with her." Evelyn thought. She took a look around the tavern and didn't see the girl at the moment. But she had to be around somewhere whether in the back or not.

Before he got off the bar he turned back to the barkeeper. "Thanks for the drink, now can I ask where to get a room.? I'm in need for some sleep," he asked him. While waiting an answer Trago jumped off the stool he was on and began walking towards the group that seemed to be heading outside. "Trago, get back over here," Sven called him. Trago however knew something was up with this group. They acted differently then normal people in a town setting would, not to mention they were looking like they were set to travel. He began sniffing the legs of each member of the group like he was a dog. Considering he looked like one, though all white and a longer snout. Then he looked over at Sven, showing him that they were people that came here like they had. Sven reluctantly got up while waiting for the bartender to still answer the question. He grabbed Trago by the fur on his neck and snook his finger at him while saying, "Bad." He looked at the gorup and said, "Sorry for my pals intrusion. Name's Sven Trago and this is my partner Trago Nuaga," he said introducing himself, "Sorry again." He walked back to the bar and asked his question again, but it was loud enough that the group could hear it this time. Almost as if he hinted at the fact that he needed a room to stay.

"I wouldn't worry about that girl," Andrew said looking over his shoulder with a smile. He didn't say it out loud but everyone could assume he somehow had a talk with her and knew she'd meet with them; or at the very least Evelyn. Walking through the town Everlyn could see small children racing towards their homes, their edgar mothers snatching them up, and then shutting the doors with the sound of bolts locking closely following. Having lead the way Yaming stopped right in front of what looked like a large Inn, but had the same insignia as the one Andrew and Yaming's shoulder. Knocking on the door Sewati grinned before letting them in, locking the door and resealing it with a tag, "Good thing you three got here before the sun completely vanished."

"Sorry we were held up," Yaming said with an embarrassed look.

Trago had been sniffing a group within the tavern, trying to get Sven's attention but before his Tamer was able to understand the sound of marching feet came into hearing range. Standing up everyone looked outside as a group of imperial soldiers marched through the entire city, going in each and every house and building systematically. Glancing over Sven could hear the answers to what he had been thinking, "I hear the Princess has gone missing . . ."

"Kidnapped?"

"Or possibly run away."

"Would she do that?"

THe ice tome that covered Iceis and rift shatered sending an ice shower all over the area , drastikly dropping the temprature. Iceis stood over Rift. She was refreashed and renewed. She was standing their with her head held high , slightly tilted to one side, and a big grin on her scale face. Rift was inbetween her front lages, with one hand on the ground with his sword in the ground in front of him. he slowly looke up then with a big grinn he said" Well if your to weak to attack us head on, then i guess you guy's need to take hostages." Rift thend looked over to their former foes still in their ice prison, and contuinued talking," Well you should be all healed up by know" Then raiseing his hand he said "...shatter!" Then their prison shattered, and they stood up.

turnning back to their new gust's and one screaming goblin " Know attack us if you dare." He said raiseing his sword high.

Some of the pirates took his bait and where running twards both his and their old foe's.

Aaron/Lancet rose up and faced the pirates alongside Rift. 'He doesn't even wonder where I've gone, I wonder is he knows my little trick' Aaron thought. 'Toltech Breeze' he said in a metallic voice. Lancet's right hand rose and a chilling wind began to blow through the area, causing ice to collect on most of the pirates. 'Icicle barrage' he continued, harmonizing the chilling wind together with any moisture in the air, creating large icicles.

Useing the distraction made by Aaron, Rift swiftly moved through the prites moveing on the captain wh was holding the young girl and wining goblin. Rift moved so swiftly that the captain couldn't raise his hand befor Rift punched him right in the face. Sending him flying backwards sevrail yards. THen grabing the woman he turned an ran back to the awaiting Iceis. As he turned the goblin jumped on his back, screaming the hole time. Making it back to iceis safely he put her down right infront of Iceis.

Iceis grolwed , she didn't want to baby sit this human or the goblin rift was throughing off his back. " Lisen well small one's, do anything funny and it will be the end of you." She said with a growl on the end , as if to state her point.

Rift looked up at her and laughed. " Aaron is it, well any way you should be back at full stranght after Iceis's Frozen freeze." he said THen he truned his attention back to the pirates at who where chargeing in.

With the quick movements and blazing speed at which they attacked, Aaron and Rift had managed to thin the herd of pirates that were willing to attack them; rescuing Eithal and the young maiden in the process. Jumping up and down Eithal was happy to be, relatively, out of harms way and began to mock the pirates, "You thought you could harm girl child and Eithal! But Eithal have man child to help him beat all yous!!!"

The only response Eithal got was a small scowl from Rift and a confused look from the maiden who was sitting beside him. When Rift turned to face the pirates again he could see that the capitain, who he had knocked a couple feet back, had walked in front of his crew and was clapping his hands, "Well done laddys . . . well done! Now how 'bout ye hand over the girl and we be on our way, eh?"

Daena scratched her head at the peculiar responses. For now, she would keep quiet and try to gather information more discreetly. She was glad that Roxas was finally coming into view, she would be uncomfortable with asking for a ride from the two natives. It wasn't natural for Daena to mistrust someone to this degree, but they were obviously withholding information from her. Daena's mind began to think about what exactly the role of magic is here, at least until they reached the settlement.

As they got closer, Irenia found herself sitting backwards on Daena's shoulder now, partly to keep an eye on the rear, and partly because she was wary of anyone from this world. All because they don't like magic. She was glad that Daena seemed to understand, as she seemed more focused right now. They didn't seem to be doing anything odd, even when she glanced over and stared intently, waiting for them to act up. She also made sure the Elder Bow was in place, it'd be no good if that was just taken, would it? As it stood, Irenia only trusted Daena, the other players, and their partners, and viewed all others with suspicion. It would make exploring the town full of strangers.

Not noticing Irenia's watchful eye Ungulf and Magnanim continued to lead the way all the way up to the very gates of Roxas; which two guards with golems beside them stood watch. Scanning the new arrivals with stone-like eyes Daena could see why using magic around this place might not be the best idea. After Ungulf explained that he had returned from a recent trip to Renais, bringing back some goods, he had found some children wandering about and brought them here for their safety. Scoffing at the old man both guards took the toll, eight copper coins total, and allowed them to enter Roxas.

Inside the city appeared different than what they would have thought, much cleaner and a lot brighter, and people were happily walking around with magical creatures in tow with them. It looked exactly like something out of a fantasy game, an orc helpping a fisherman lift some heavy crates by the docks, a familiar chasing after his family's young son, and more. Giving a sigh Ungulf stopped his cart in the middle of town and hopped off of it, unhooking Magnanim, and then starting to make the cart open for buisness. Freed from his harness Magnanim scoffed at all of the magical creatures playing around and what not, noting in a sour tone, "Look at them Ungulf! They act as if there hasn't been a word of bad news . . ."

"Aye," Ungulf said through a grunt while he lifted a beam to fold out the cart, "But ignorance can be bliss my dear old friend."

The icicles dissipated as Aaron nodded; he drew his blade, the Black Sabbath and strutted forward and placed it into the ground, handle first. 'Toltech Wind' Aaron commanded. Lancet's left hand moved, generating another cool breeze. It spiraled around the pirates, causing moisture to build up on them all. Lancet's right hand moved in turn. 'Lightning Spike' Aaron cried, sending a charge into the blade of the sword. It hummed with energy and unleashed a discharge of electricity, following the moisutre of the Toltech Wind to the now clammy pirates.
