"It's ... pretending. To put it this way-" She suddenly had a brainwave ... if this land was full of magic, surely there would be - "you know illusions that magic users like mages can cast? You know, the sort that makes you feel like you're experiencing something real when you're not - like, for example, they could make you think you're riding a pony when you're not. The game in our world is like that, except it's generated entirely by computers." Hopefully they understand now... Grunhelm was keeping quiet, yet Rose had a feeling he knew exactly what she had meant far earlier than Ungulf did.

Evelyn appreciated that the students were trying to talk to her. There were so many trying to talk at once though it was a bit confusing at first. She told the ones who apologized that it had been no problem and they shouldn't feel bad about it. She tried her best to memorize names but only two people, Yaming and Andrew, really stood out. The initial rush over the group had given her a bit of room and Evelyn was much more relaxed. Sewati then informed her that she could lodge with them until they found her home. She wasn't sure what to say about it. The group could search the ends of the Tamers Earth and never find it.

"Should I tell them? I'm not sure what to say? I'm sure they wouldn't take 'I don't have a home' well. This is a bit tricky." Evelyn thought.

"Thank you very much Sewati. But there is one issue. What should I do with Flamme when we get there?" Evelyn said motioning to her partner.

"I doubt the people in the town would react very well to seeing him but he's also gets anxious and irritable when I'm not nearby." she said. Then the girl, Yaming started speaking to her about her hair. She claimed she just had to do something with it. As is by instinct Evelyn placed her right hand on her hair. A boy named Andrew then joked about Yaming merely being jealous. As Evelyn felt her hair she noticed something odd. It felt more real than it usually did. Considering this was just a virtual appearance she put on for the game it shouldn't have felt quite so real. She made a light tug without drawing much attention to it and then noticed it seemed to be completely real. It seemed she had really taken on her in-game appearance as her real appearance.

"I guess my hair could use a little work." Evelyn said softly after the laughter settled a bit.

"What?!" Daena was taken aback by the statement the man made, and took a step back to match her surprise. Irenia was less amused by Ungulf's remark, and began preparing her magic behind Daena's field of vision so she didn't have to listen to complaints about her actions being 'too defensive'. Since Daena was sometimes too nice for her own good, Irenia felt she needed to protect her, after all.

"It's worth *that* much?" Daena said, eyes still wide in shock. She knew that the weapon, if sold in the Tamers virtual market, would net her an amazing sum. She planned to do so once she finished testing it, and to use the funds earned to buy more common, yet equally effective gear. But who knew that in this world the bow would be equally valuable, if not more. A double lifetime supply of food is pretty amazing, after all. As such, her grip was now even tighter on the bow, and she even thought about hiding it inside her unit for a change, especially if her Elder Bow was well known.

Clapping Yaming held her fist tightly and began to rant about how much she'd be able to do for Evelyn's hair to make it managable, though Andrew only made fun of her more by saying she didn't know what she was talking about, making everyone laugh when she slugged his shoulder. Even though Evelyn had agreed to lodge with them, unsure how to explain the secret that she wasn't part of this world, she had brought up the important question of what to do with Flamme; a wyvern is awefully out of place anywhere but a mountian. With the village nearing in the distance Sewati, having pondered the before mentioned problem, had finally came up with a solution. Clapping his hands he turned around, "My dear would it be too much to ask to cast a simple spell on Flamme? And Flamme, mighty wyvern not of Valni, would it be appropriate as well?"

"You thought of a way to let the wyvern enter the village?" a student asked very intrigued by the idea of pulling a stunt like this off. Nodding his head Sewati explained, as a teacher would, in great detail about what he was about to accomplish if allowed by both parties; with boiled down to simply shrinking Flamme to the size of a common dog. Hence Sewati finished explaining the entire class erupted in a simultanious, "Oooh . . ."

"Her name is Iceis and mine is Rift. Where are we and where's your tamer?" Rift asked the shivering little goblin; Iceis all the while had her head up high, eye's closed and turned away from Eithal, she did not like him. Tapping his chin Eithal thought about the two questions that had been asked of him and took a very long time; enough to start to wear on Rift's patience. Clapping his hands Eithal smiled and answered cheerfully, "Eithal knows answer! Answer is on land!"

"Magic, eh?" Ungulf repeated stroking his beard, going over the explination Rose had given them, and broke his concentration once Magnanim neighed loudly. Looking over at the unicorn he asked what was the matter and Magnanim angerly replied, "Do you not understand the child at all Ungulf!? She speaks of magic and illusions too freely! And she does not know the surrounding areas as if a pampered child . . . obviously this dear child is holding some secret from us both!"

"Eh? A secret now?" Ungulf repeated looking back at Rose and then in front at Deana, or more specifically her Elder Bow, before addressing Magnanim once more, "You say a secret as if you have discovered it. Well then tell my old friend . . ."

Nodding his head Magnanim looked at Rose with anger in his eyes, lowering his head so that the horn's tip nearly pointed at her, "This dear child is the daughter of a nobleman and is travelling with companions outside her ranking. The other girl is most likely her bodyguard, a bow so equished cannot be found in the hands of a commoner so readily, and the male is yet another child of noble birth. The Roc has been known for a long time to be the crest beast of a Aolani Noble Family!"

"AH!?" was the only thing that came from both Ungulf and Rose, both suprised at this 'revelation'; though Rose more shocked at the enormous leap in logic.

With the sun going down beside them Aaron and Lancet had been walking the beach for miles, spotting fishermen off shore on occassion, and given the lucky break conversing with the sea farring folk. From what information he had managed to gather he was within the country boarders of Nomen on, or in, a place called Orai. From the fishermen's accounts it was the begining of the harvesting season . . . so it had to be somewhere around late April-early May.

Other than the place and a rough estimate of the season/month Aaron learned he was heading towards the town of Numess; a magic community, whatever that meant. With the town becoming a tiny dot on the horizon Aaron heard the screams of a women in distress, originating from the ocean beside him, and could see the flailing arms of a person close to shore.

Occ " THis is comming live from AF games 2010."

" ON land...thats your answer...ok well im blasting him!" Iceis said as Eithal answer had made her last nerve snap. " No dont, he's just ...um how can i put it ...not all their." Rift said ashe truned and started to walk down the path. Iceis followed right behind him. Eithal was following them but Rift just ignored it saying " Untill you give ma a better answer where just going in this direction. Iceis kept asking rift if she could just end their sufering, but Rift couldn't allow her to hurt anyone that wasn't a foe. So they just kept heading, in the direction of the beach they first saw.

'Well, that had been a productive time on information gathering' the boy commented as he quickly wrote some new notes into his little book. this thought was interupted from the screams of a lady. Aaron and Lancet reacted quickly to this. 'Lancet, I'm going to swim out there to the woman whilst you follow from underneath the waves. We don't know what could be attacking her or if this is a trap, be on guard' he said o his partner before dropping off his valuables on the sand and ran straight into the water, the run becomming a swim-style. Lancet followed him and sank due to his weight.

It took all of Daena's willpower to stay composed and to not burst out laughing at the absurdities that the unicorn were speaking. Irenia was just as confused; her prepared spells vanished as she stared at Maganium with a dumbfounded look on her face. It seemed like their inquiries into the nature of the world have gotten them misidentified. Of course, since the Tamers from Earth have no idea how all this happened, either, it was hardly surprising.

"I don't know how you came up with that, but I assure you, we are essentially lost travelers," Daena said, strapping her bow on her back once again. She was reluctant to assume the identity of a noble's bodyguard, at least, without learning more about the 'noble' she was to protect. The fate of Josh worried her as well, if the Roc was the symbol of these Aolani nobles, he may get called out on it. Still, she didn't want to leave Rose alone in this situation, and Josh would probably too far away to catch, even with Float Boost.

"Right.... Rose?" Daena added, pausing before calling her name so that if they do take up these false identities, they can pretend that their current indenties were false. Gamers pretending to be travelers mistaken for nobles pretending to be wanderers, Daena thought to herself. This might get complicated...

"Shrink him? I hadn't thought about that. But then again all I can really do with magic is fight so I wouldn't know if it was possible or not." Evelyn said laughing a bit at the situation. The laugh was the sort of "this isn't awkward at all" kind of laugh.

"How dumb can I be? Of course magic could do other stuff but I never thought about it before! Now they're going to think I'm strange again." Evelyn thought. Then again, she was strange to them and she hadn't stopped being so yet so why should that change any time soon?

"Of course, it's Flamme's decision. What do you think partner?" she said turning to Flamme. Flamme looked like he might have been considering it for all of two seconds.

"What kind of ridiculous idea is that?!" Flamme said to her. Evelyn whispered an aside to Sewati that he wasn't too fond of the idea at the moment because if she didn't say there was no way he would know.

"Come on! It won't be for that long and it's not like it would be permanent. I wouldn't let anyone do something like this to you if I knew it couldn't be undone." Evelyn said. She knew she had some leeway on Flamme in that he was protective of her. That would be the trump card though.

"No, there's no way. I do have some honor you know." Flamme said back to her.

"Fine then, what do you propose we do? You can't just come in the village. Or are you saying you'll be fine being a good bit away from town the whole time I'm in there?" Evelyn said. She'd used it. She knew he wouldn't be able to argue with that.

"....Fine. I can't let you go in there without me. This is stupid and disgraceful but I'll let it happen." Flamme told her. Turning from the one-sided conversation out loud Evelyn gave the news to Sewati.

"Alright, Sewati, he agrees. He's not all that happy but he agrees. So what do we do?" Evelyn said.

Pulling on Rift's pant legs Eithal struggled to force the teenager to stop walking, though he only succeded on being dragged along, and whinning as this happened. Like a small child crying at it's parents Eithal would give out a wale on occassion until Rift finally turned around and payed attention to the goblin, "Man child lost like Eithal . . . but Eithal knows not be near big water. Big water hands danger to Eithal and man child and big lizard . . ."

If any sense could have been made from Eithal's words it was this: The Ocean Can Be Very Dangerous! And the Tamer who is getting a crash coarse in this lesson, Aaron, is going to soon find out exactly why the ocean isn't a place you want to be near for any extended length of time. Though his partner Lancet had sunk, he is entirely metal after all, Aaron was able to swim to the thrashing woman and drag her to shore with a bit of effort; chiefly since she had been kicking and screaming until she could feel the sand under her feet. Coughing some sea water up the girl wipped her eyes, making her wet blond hair shake while she caught her breath, and looked up wearily at her savior. The woman, almost the same age as Aaron himself, crouched over and stood upright as she gave him a warm smile; wobbling back and forth since she was still a bit light headed.

Aaron wasn't too good with being 'the hero' and tried to tell her some valiant reason he did what he did, but never managed to say anything because after standing the woman embraced him in a tight hug. Breaking her embrace the woman leaned over into his ears and whispered something that caused Aaron's eyes to grow wide with suprise . . . had he just been told he would be 'rewarded' in some way for saving this young beauty's life!?

Nope.

Turning to run away from Aaron quickly her words echoed in his mind, still befuddled at their meaning, 'I'm sorry for this', but soon realized what she had meant. Brusting from the sand a pincher snapped shut on his leg and lifted him high into the air, the body of a behemoth crab following; it's master on top with a bandana covering his bald head. Twisting around Aaron could see a couple more people seemingly rise from the sand, surrounding the young girl he had just saved, and their monsters standing beside them; a fish-man, a Kappa, a hippocampus and a Isonade. Each man appeared to be rugged looking and scarred all over their body- leaving not to many guesses as to what they were or did for a living.

"Good work thar girlie," the master of the Isonade barked as he shoved her to the ground, causing the other men to erupt in violent laughter, "Ke'p this up an' you'll be able t' stop workin' fer th' crew."

"So what do we do know?" Evelyn had asked once she, more or less, had tricked Flamme into the agreement. Nodding Sewati motioned for his students to move aside and then drew a circle big enough for the dragonic to fit inside; then motioning for Flamme to walk into the center. Once that had been accomplished Sewati began to speak in a different language, the words causing a tornado to seemingly kick up around them and making a short of electricity to run through the air. Twisting his hands, fingers creating patterns and symbols, Sewati finished his spell by pointing at Flamme and uttering a single word, "Abeo!"

Lightning, blasting from Sewati's finger tips, struck Flamme and caused his back to slam into a shield; created by the circle he had been inside. Twisting while the electricity ran over his body in waves Evelyn could see that Flamme was becoming smaller and smaller with each passing second; Yaming reconfirming her that Flamme wasn't actually in any pain. Once the transformation was complete Sewati fell to one knee, holding a partially transformed bear arm, and nodded to Evelyn as soon as the know diminuative Flamme stood tall; his full height know a mere 3 feet. Clapping their hands his students called out excitedly at their teacher, Andrew helping him to his feet, "That's why you're the best teacher in Numess Sewati."

"I suppose," he replied, a quickl glance at the bear arm, "But all magic comes at a price . . ."

Aaron cursed his own stupidity, this wasn't like him. However, if those pirates assumed Lancet was out of the race, then they would clearly regret it. 'I'll admit, clever stunt for the hero types and the very stupid, however, there are some key aspects you clearly forget. AQUOUS WALL!' he shouted loudly. This sounded like his own spell, as the ocean began to bubble and churn, however, in the midst of the water was a very familiar gauntlet. A large wave began to rise and was about to fall on the pirates. It did so, missing Aaron by a lot. Oddly, the water remained in a tight sphere, trapping whoever had been hit by the wave, including the crab; it was held in place by an armoured gauntlet which was crawling along the sand. 'Little touch of frost' Aaron added. The gauntlet responded, as a jolt of frost froze the block of water, and whoever was inside it. Summoning the black sabbath, Aaron cut himself loose from the crab. The girl had been unharmed from this, but Aaron regarded her coldly. 'Get out of my sight' he ordered coldly as Lancet managed to pull himself from the water.

Evelyn had just watched almost in awe at the whole process. Then the magic began and Evelyn witnessed the transformation of her partner. She had been concerned for a second but Yaming had reassured her that Flamme wasn't feeling anything, or at least not pain. After that Evelyn just relaxed and watch the transformation finish. When it was finished Evelyn couldn't believe it.

"That's so cool!" Evelyn said as she ran over next to Flamme. He'd shrunk about eleven feet and it was both odd and amazing to Evelyn that she was actually taller than him. Evelyn began curiously inspecting Flamme's head and wings looking with wonder at how it was all the same only smaller. Flamme didn't looked too pleased but then again he hadn't wanted to do it in the first place anyway.

"Would you stop that?!" Flamme said to Evelyn as she continued examining him.

"Sorry, sorry. It's just so amazing!" Evelyn said. She was quite excited at the whole turn of events.

Then Evelyn turned around to see Sewati. He had needed help to get standing again and one of his arms looked odd. Evelyn suddenly felt bad for having been so excited when Sewati seemed uncomfortable, if not in pain.

"Are you okay?" she asked concerned as she ran up to Sewati.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know this would tire you like this! You're not hurt right?" Evelyn said. Perhaps her concern was unnecessary but she was concerned nonetheless.

Rift turnned back to Iceis saying " Big....Water hands..? What on earth are you talking about, and quite your yelling. If your going to come with use you must try to make as little sound as possiable...thats how are battle tatics work. Wait did you say your lost!!"

Iceis started laughing , " It just keeps getting better with HIM around. We should just leave him. After all he's of no use to us." Rift looked back to Eithal with a sad look. " Well she's right about that so far you've been nothing but a headace." Rift said rubbing his bandaged head. His vison was worse now, and his head kepts hurting , but he didn't let it show because Iceis would just worry her self to death. " Well Eithal ...what can you offer to us so that we dont just leave you hear." Rift said though his words where not kind.

"It just keeps getting better and better with him around. We should just leave him . . . after all he's of no use to us," Iceis said as she chuckled at Eithal, who was trying his hardest too keep up with them, and stopped when Rift looked back at the goblin. Sighing he shook his head once Eithal tripped once more and thought to himself, "Well she's right about that . . . so far he's been nothing but a headache." Rubbing his bandaged head, his vision worsening now, Rift addressed Eithal, "Well . . . what can you offer to us so that we don't just leave you here?"

"Eithal . . . ." the goblin began, shaking a bit, and started to stutter with both of them looking at him. His mind going blank Eithal couldn't think of a single way he'd be useful to someone like Rift and Iceis, but luckily what seemed to be a giant explosion shook the ground underneath their feet and drew the other's attentions. Running towards where the explosion had originated from Rift and Iceis could see one of the people they had seen before the black out walking away from an, obviously, frightened woman; her head held low and tears streaming down her cheeks.

Clapping their hands his students called out excitedly at their teacher, Andrew helping him to his feet, "That's why you're the best teacher in Numess Sewati."

"I suppose," he replied, a quickl glance at the bear arm, "But all magic comes at a price . . ."

"Are you ok?" Evelyn asked once she had turned around to see Sewati; he had needed help to get standing again and one of his arms looked odd. Evelyn suddenly felt bad for having been so excited when Sewati seemed uncomfortable, if not in pain. Concerned she ran up to Sewati, "I'm sorry! I didn't know this would tire you like this! You're not hurt right?"

"No . . . I'm alright," Sewati said finally gaining the strength back in his legs to stand on his own. Moving the claws of the now partially transformed bear arm he sighed and began to channel his magic into that arm, making it glow an eerie greenish yellow. With each moment that passed Evelyn could see that the hairs of the arm grew shorter, as if they were shinking back into his skin, and the claws retracted back until they were almost normal; leaving Sewati's hand appearing human once more. Gasping once the transformation was complete he smiled, reassuring Evelyn that he was alright, before telling everyone that they would be heading back out immediately; recieving cheers from the students.

Now, with Numees close enogh to hear the people who lived there, Evelyn couldn't help wondering how odd they'd appear in the real world; a group of people in robes following a man, who appeared to be native american, and a three foot tall wyvern in tow. Every once in a while though Evelyn could catch a worried glance from Yaming, though it was not herself that was the center of attention, but Sewati. Nodding his head the teacher told the guards that their trip had been meet with no troubles or delays and, once questioned about Evelyn and Flamme, explained to that she was a childhood friend of Yaming who was coming to visit for a while; explaining that Flamme was nothing more than a shapeshifting familiar that liked to 'act like he was powerful.'

Aaron, having been tricked into saving a girl by pirates, had cursed his own stupidity; claiming it wasn't like him. But after a quick banter he had activated a spell that caused some of the water from the ocean to swirl into a bubble before his partner, who had been trapped in the same spot, instantly froze it. Now almost completely freed, except for the behemoth crab's claw holding onto him, Aaron summoned his black sabbath and cut himself loose; landing safely saway from the giant frozen ball of ice. Helping Lancet to his feet, who had been nearly completely drained of his energies from such a massive attack, Aaron looked down at the woman who had been used as bait, "Get out of my sight . . ."

Walking towards the woods Aaron and Lancet could see three people standing before them; the smallest of the three yelling and pointing. Pulling at Rift Eithal was waving his hand wildly, "Man child . . . man child! Evil man attacked girl child . . . make her cry! We have to help!!!"

Though Rift didn't like getting into useless fights . . . the one thing he didn't like less was seeing someone hurt a woman- he'd have to teach this person some respect!

"well then what do we have hear." Rift said looking back and forth from this man and the young women crying. Iceis was standing right be side him now, and Eithal hid be hind Rift .

" I'll give you a chance to enplane what has transpired here, and why that girl is crying." Rift said looking at this man, but rift could only see his out line. " Man I really don't need a battle right know, but i can fight with out my sight if i have to." He though as he looked from the edge of the forest. Iceis looked this young man over, turnning her head to the side to get a better view.

Eithal Then jumped out from behind Rift and said " Evil man must pay for hurting crying woman!" HE was pointing at Aaron, but wasn't a few feet from Rift , just in case Aaron attacked he was ready to jump back behind Rift and Iceis. Rift's hand slapped on to his forehead. He could not believe his luck lately, not only was his vision almost gone but know this little goblin was picking fights for him to get in to.

"Well, anyway, I should catch up to Josh to make sure he's okay." Daena said. She couldn't say she expected to outpace Rose like she did, but she seems fine traveling with the man and unicorn. Besides, she was a player who didn't get offed early on in the tournament, so she should have some skills, even in this world. "I'll see you in town!" she said, waving as she lept into the air...

Daena flew along the path to Roax, once again utilizing Irenia's float magic. As the town came into view over the horizon, she hoped that he didn't get himself into trouble, especially with that Roc of his. She'll have to disguise her bow somehow as well, if it would help not draw attention to herself.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine," Irenia said, sensing Daena's frustrations. Daena couldn't help but smile in response... at the very least, they aren't alone.

Aaron looked at this cavalcade, this wasn't something he needed right now. 'If you have to ask, ask the giant sphere of ice once it melts. The little touch of frost took a little too much out of Lancet, as was dragging himself from the water. So he can't use the lightning spike spell on those wastes of space. Otherwise, stay out of my way and keep your dogs on their leashes. I'm going to find a graveyard' Aaron stated, witht here clearly being somehting odd about his announcement of finding a graveyard.

occ " lol you should be nicer to people."

Iceis lifted her upper lip and let loud a growl, Rift's face harden to an unreadable mask, and Eithal jumped back behind Rift. Rift took his long sword out from is sheath, and held it by his side. " Well look's like you just answered my question for me. Eithal help the little lady out."

Eithal Disappeared back in to the forest, but Rift didn't really care what he was doing. Iceis remained still as her partner started to walk forwards. She started to laugh, as she said " You really don't like being talked down to do you." She then started right behind him.

Rift ignored her, but he did say " Glacies fog!" " Fine but be care full!" She thought as she poured fog on to the beach front.

AS the fog poured onto the beach Rift said to this boy,"Can vos pugna per sicco os! " Which in Latin meant "Can you fight with out sight!" As the fog started to cover up the field, before he was completely covered by the fog. HE looked in to his apponents eyes and smiled as the fog covered him. " Maybe now you'll treat people nicer."

After the fog covered him up he backed up about 4 feet then closed his eyes and listen. he could hear heave breathing, and the sound of armor moving around. HE smiled as he silently slipped in to the mist. Iceis didn't move, she just listen, she heard the same thing as Rift.

Eithal reappeared right beside the lady, looking around n the dense fog. “ Eithal will save you !” HE said quietly.

Aaron felt the chill of the fog, yet he just laughed. 'I remember this trick back in the game. A tricky gamble to play if your opponent knows it, but I won't waste my time playing these little games. Lancet still has enough energy to fight you off, and I possess a few tricks of my own' he mocked and whispered a few inaudible words. Some mysterious energy covered his feet and Lancet's, he began to walk towards Lancet, his steps making no sound. Using his silent steps he walked straight through Lancet, actually wearing the armour.

" Thats good you know my trick, but your breathing is still loud enough for me to find you!" Rift said from be hind him. Befor Aaron could attack him he moved from his positon again. From in the mist Rift started to gather his energy, he was almost ready to end this game.

Iceis could hear the new enemy's heart beat. It was stedy, but it was loude to her. Iceis raised her massive wings and took off above the mist. She was waiting for Rifts signal.

Rift heard Iceis take off ." Do you know why I use this ....trick as you called it." Said a voice, deep within the mist. Rift really didn't want to fight. But he would not back down now. " My names Rift ,So what name do I put on your grave."

As the group passed into Numees Evelyn found it interesting just how calmly and effectively Sewati had made up the story to explain her and Flamme's presence. There was no hesitation and almost no effort. Evelyn didn't think he'd had much time to come up with it but then again she had not been closely examining everyone's faces looking to see what they may or may not be thinking as she had walked.

"He's a lot more than he appears at first. A were bear, a master mage, and flowing with intelligence. I suppose if anyone I had to run into in this world he would be most preferable." Evelyn thought as she entered the city.

Though Evelyn admired Sewati for getting them in Flamme was still pretty angry. The transformation and now being called some common creature that wanted to look tough was getting on his nerves fast.

"How long are we going to be here Evelyn?" Flamme asked her, clearly angry.

"I can't be sure. Until we meet any other players or Jake again we're a bit stuck. If we got pulled in here Jake must have too and he would know how to get back. And as I don't know where I am we have to stay here for a bit. Just bear with it for awhile. I know you don't like it but I do appreciate you letting Sewati transform you. I wouldn't feel comfortable here without you." Evelyn said, making sure it was mental this time as this didn't need to be said out loud. Evelyn's last statements stopped Flamme's complaining as he quickly became embarrassed.

Evelyn figured it was about time she got to getting familiar with the town and figuring out what would go on from here. She didn't feel it was a question she needed to bother Sewati with though. Instead she asked Yaming. Evelyn also figured it would be wise to get on Yaming's good side and a bit of conversation could only help.

"Excuse me, Yaming? Where exactly are we headed here?" she said looking around the town. "And what exactly goes on now?" she said.

"Man child!!!" Eithal screamed through the fog, brining Aaron and Lancet's attention to him, and both of the Tamers were suprised when the fog was dispelled so easily. Standing a few feet from each other they could see the pirates had surrounded them and their leader, the one owning the Isonade, had a hold of Eithal and the woman; the later he had a knife to their throat. Smirking he taunted, "Order your beasts to stand down or I'll slit her throat and the goblin's as well . . ."

"Man child and big llizard don't let Eithal die here!!!!"

"Hmmm?" Yaming asked, as she had been talking to another one of her classmates, and wasn't fully paying attention. Once Evelyn had repeated herself Yaming explained that they were heading into the local tavern to get something to eat and drink before heading to the lodging areas; then explained that everyone would be having a few days off for a summer festival. Stepping in front of them Andrew, giving a small bow, and chimmed in, "So you seem to be taking things easily Evelyn."

Evelyn thanked Yaming for the information. Things sounded like they were going to get fun around her. A festival was coming up soon. Though Evelyn had to wonder if she'd be around for it or not. It all depended on how things went. Then Adrew stepped into the conversation and addressed her. What he said was true, she wasn't panicking in the slightest even though she knew of no way to get home at the moment, she had no idea where any other player was, and she had no idea where she was. Then again, the idea that this was simply a game world might have comforted her somewhat.

"I guess I am taking things pretty easy. Well, even though I don't know where I am exactly or how to get home at the moment, if I panic things only get worse right? Flamme's here with me so I'm not lonely or anything and he's quite the talker when he gets going. I don't have much to get high strung about. So I'm just going to take things as they come and enjoy my time around here." Evelyn said. Without revealing anything about the idea of the real world and the Tamers world she had spoken sincerely.

Aaronlaughed, his voice was metallic now. 'You call yourself Rift just for something you would not be able to do? There are prices to pay for being a one-trick pony' he mocked. Drawing out his Dragon Bane lance, he twirled it expertly. 'Whatever you are planning, it will fail here and now. LIGHTNING SPIKE!' he cried, raising the spear head. The head of the spear began glowing with electric energy, discharging it throughout the mist. 'I'm safe from this attack, however, your mist will conduct electricity, and where do you think it'll go?'

"Well I'm glad you're not too scared," Andrew commented while they entered the tavern. Sitting down at the table Yaming nodded her head, adding in that she'd be afraid if she found herself at a strange place with no idea where she was.

When a patron of the tavern walked up towards Evelyn, Andrew and Yaming and requested if they wanted anything to drink. Looking over at the girl Andrew and Yaming both gave their orders, but Evelyn actually noticed the girl from before- it was Crystal! Suprised to see someone from the actual world Evelyn hardly noticed that Crystal's appearance had completely changed and she looked like someone from the actual Tamers world; at least when it came down to her clothing.

Andrew and Yaming both added what they had to say on the conversation as they came to the tavern. Evelyn sat down next to Yaming and Andrew and watched someone from the tavern come up to take orders. Something seemed odd about the girl but Evelyn couldn't place it. Flamme, who'd made his way under the table and was now next to Evelyn, noticed it too.

"Evelyn, haven't we seen here before?" he said in regard to the girl.

"It seems like I've seen her before but I can't place it, why?" Evelyn asked back mentally.

"She reminds me of that girl in the group of players. That girl who said she fought that Kraken." Flamme said. It took a second but it clicked in Evelyn's head too.

"You're right! It really does look like that's who she is." Evelyn said.

As the girl finished taking Andrew and Yaming's orders she decided to ask about whether or not she was the person she was thinking of.

"Wait a minute! I mean, excuse me. Don't I know you? I saw you not long ago in that group, didn't I?" Evelyn said at the sight of Crystal. She'd never really learned the names of the people in that group as Flamme had been quite defensive at the time. If Crystal remembered her, "that group" should have been enough for her to tell she meant the gathering at the tournament.
