All Zane could do was lay there, unconscious as Josh attempted to talk to him. Rio was looking over his partner, worriedly. "Hey doesn't anyone have a healing potion or something that can fix this?" Rio knew it wouldn't really help but it would make him feel better and give him something to do. Come on boss, don't do this to me, not when I need you! Rio kept an eye on the stranger, not wanting to let him near Zane at the moment.

Daena was visibly relieved that the dwarf was at least friendly, even if he thought she might have been dangerous. What kind of stuff happens in this town? Daena thought to herself. Still, this was where she was directed to, so perhaps there was something here for her.

"We are new and town, and we were directed here when I asked about a tourist center." Daena said, replying to the dwarf's question. "So you must be Keligan? I'm Daena, nice to meet you." Daena extended her arm downward to shake the dwarf's. She still wasn't sure if this was a tourist center exactly - though if the pictures on the walls were any indication; she may still be able to learn something here anyway.

"I am lass. Also I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'tourist center'," the red dwarf said taking Deana's hand with a squeeze, though he probably didn't mean it to the handshake momentarily hurt, "But this is a Document Depot where you could purchase a handy little map to git you around."

Releasing Deana's hand the dwarf then noticed the tiny fairfolk resting on her shoulder and gave a polite bow, "And my apologies for not greeting you as well fairfolk."

"A healing potion?" a member of the crowd repeated as a group of people rushed over to help the unconcious man. Digging into their coats one of them, a dark skinned man, poured a light pink liquid into Zane's mouth and worked it down his throat so he would swallow it. Looking at the familiar momentarily he continued to work on Zane, the man's young companion replying his unspoken words, "DOn't worry. This should bring your mastre back within a couple minutes."

"It...It's okay..." Irenia replied in a quiet voice. She wasn't sure how to deal with strangers who treated her kindly like that, but she did become relaxed; the stocked magic surrounding Irenia dispersed into the air. "I'm Irenia... nice to meet you, too..." she continued trying to emulate Daena's speech patterns.

"This is a document depot?" Daena asked, repeating what Keligan just said. "As in... a depot for documents?" Daena paused for a few moments to wonder why she was sent to such a place, but the dwarf did mention that they sold maps... which was something the group was sorely lacking. Daena thought about asking about the other documents while she was here, but reigned in her desires for now. "And maps as well? What kind of maps do you have?" she asked, finally getting around to the question she should have asked to begin with.

"Nice to meet you too Irenia," Keligan replied with a smile before turning around and walking back to the large desk. He disappeared behind the desk and the only movement that occured while Deana spoke was the creaking movement of a ladder being pulled along a metal track, making it easier to push and pull, yet the red dwarf didn't answer. When Deana finally asked 'what kind of maps' they had the short rugged man appeared, climbing the ladder, and looked back at her with a grin, "Aye we have almost any kind of map you could want lass."

Pulling on a red thread a folded map popped out of the document lined wall and Kelgain tossed it to Deana. Fumbeling with it for a bit she eventually read the title 'Nomen' and then was tossed another map that read 'Train Routes'. Pulling another map, but not tossing it over his shoulder to Deana, Keligan simply turned around and held it to his side and looked at Deana with a grin, "Is that what you're looking for lass?"

"Whoa!"

Daena fumbled at bit while trying to catch the second map thrown to her; Irenia even left her perch in order to not get caught between sharp paper edges. Fortunately, Daena did not stumble, and she readied to catch the next one that may be thrown to her. The dwarf instead carried the third one with him, to Daena's relief.

"Well, for all this time we have been needing a proper map, so... yes." Daena replied, glancing over the maps once more before carrying them under her arm. The rail map was a nice bonus as well; in case speed was of the essence. "So... how much for the maps?" Daena asked, grabbing her Housing unit to retrieve the coins Josh had given her the day before.

Patting his bulbus nose the red dwarf thought for a brief second and then looked at Deana with a wide grin, "For a friend of a friend . . . nothing."

The dwarf could she the obvious delight and happiness in the young human's eyes, which warmed his own heart, and he let out a small string of laughter. Shaking his head he hopped off the ladder, landing with a distinct thud, and walked up beside Deana; this more than anything pointed out his small stature. Taking the third map from under his hand he rested it in Dean's hand with a wink, "Just promise me you'll bring 'em back whenever you can . . . I'll be waiting for when you do lass, not often I get visitors."

Daena smiled and nodded in agreement. "Well, I don't know how long our travels will be, but when it's all over I'll be sure to return these." She meant it; if the link is made, then there would be plenty of time to return to Ahmady. She would just have to make sure that Josh doesn't handle them. "I could probably see if anyone else would want to come..." she began to say outloud, before cutting herself off. "...But they're probably waiting for us to get back right now."

With the maps tucked in under her armpit (never really taking a good look at the third map), Daena left the building, Irenia flying behind her. The fairy was in high spirits, which uplifted Daena's spirits as well; all things considered they lucked out this time. Sure, Daena had promised to make another visit, but she didn't mind at all. Right now, she hoped that Josh and Zane did not kill each other yet. Zane kept to himself during the walk, but she feared what would happen if he agitated Josh.
