Naimo
Seeing as Rose might as well try and make allies, Grunhelm began galloping meanderingly. As they did so, they unknowingly stumbled in the direction of the fog. It was only when they had seen it did they immediately stop and stare. "Who made this fog? It looks far too artifical to be real," was Rose's first comment, drawing on her year's worth of playing the game. She could tell Grunhelm was just as clueless; not that she wanted his opinion now as she drew her double bladed staff. She kept her croiser ready though; who knew what lay in that fog? Grunhelm cautiously trotted to the fog, where a group of people already were. Maybe I can help them? thought Rose. This is stupid - why the hell am I not yet a Bishop?! It would make things so much easier...
Jake the Sage
Stomping after it the Giant's foot splashed in a lake, unknowingly drenching a lone Tamer and his partner, but still couldn't find the enemy through the remaining fog. Rift heard the splash and then the consiquensial curses from the Tamer; Iceis grinned thinking the same thing as her Tamer. Crawling low to the floor she reached a rocky outcrop, slanted so it was angled just good enough, and tensed her legs before launching herself into the air with very little effort. Bursting through the fog Iceis and Rift found themselves right infront of the Giant's face, "Congelo!" The stranger in the cloak didn't state his name or reintrocude Jasper, nor did the Kimono girl, and instead he was looking to the east while listening to the final few bouts finishing. After hearing Daena ask what the true purpose of the game, if not to fight, he replied it was 'to train.' This made Daena pause for a moment afterwards, thinking he probably knew more than he was revealing, and that the statement alone was more than enough to give her reasons to worry. She probably should have logged out now, but she wanted to see where these threads lead. Having noticed Daena's worried expression Max walked over and kindly patted her on the back before telling her not to worry. While Daena was conversing with the other tamers, Irenia was involved in a staring match of sorts with the lady in the kimono. As each watched each other, their gazes never wavering, the kimono girl poked Irenia and smiled. Yet before the little fiary could respond everyone's concentration was broken by the sudden noises off to the distance; if the battles were nearing an end, they would end spectacularly, it seemed. At her Tamer's command Iceis' jaw opened wide, a light blue light emminating from it until a violent blizzard of ice hit the face and shoulders of the Giant. The cold sending the Giant, not to mention it's Tamer, into shock and caused the monstrosity cry out in pain while ice formed on it's shoudlers. The Giant's swinging began to slow until the monster was completely encased in ice, leaving the Tamer shivering on his forzen Giant's shoulders; Iceis giving a proud roar. Aaron and Lancet stopped at the roar from the fog they had left. "So, an ice dragon, hu? How fitting," Aaron commented and continued walking, as he wasn't fluent in dragon roars, and continuted as they neared the beach, "I wonder who took down the kraken, they're generally powerful enough, due to their size; but aren't unbeatable. The ability to submerge when in water is great for evading attacks, but they're not too useful when on land. I feel sorry for the aquatic tamers who always have to be near a body of water to effectively use their partners . . ." "What?" was all that came from Daena's mouth as she turned to spot dense fog in the direction the sounds came from. As opposed to her Tamer, Irenia had her eyes further down the beach, where a Tamer and his partner came walking down the beach in their general direction. The partner monster was one that Irenia never saw before; it looked like an animated suit of armor. Believing them to be enemies, two strands of green light appeared in Irenia's open palms, but they were dissipated once Max held his hand in front of her, and telling her not to attack; at the same time the Kimono Girl stopping Daena from leaving. Back at the battle Rift smiled as Iceis roared and slamed her tail into the frozen Giant's chest, causing large cracks to form all over it's body. Finalyl the cracks grew to much and to deep for the Giant to withstand and both the partner and tamer vanished in a digital light. Flapping her immense wings Iceis made the fog fall to the ground and Rift looked at the other Tamers who were now emerced in the thick blanket, "Well one down and just a couple more to go." "What's going on here?" Daena said crouching down, her hand instinctively reached for the Elder Bow, but she did not draw it once she grabbed it. After all, it would be best if she stayed out of a battle. Still, she did not release her hand, since she was too tense to do so. Max and Crystal also crouched and seemed to be readying for a suprise attack, yet the cloaked man merely glanced around as the Kimono Girl clutched to his arm. Farther deep in the forest Sven noticed the fog suddenly blanket around hin and wondered what was going on. The fox stopped drinking, looked up like it had sensed something, and saw the beating wings of the ice dragon while it flew towards the group of Tamers; just then the wave struck them both. "Oh! This is just great," he said looking at his wet partner, "Shake it off buddy . . . its' time to go to work!" The fox shook off the water off its top coat and got into a fighting stance as Sven removed his sword from the sheath; the fox changed as best it could into the ice dragon it had seen earlier, though it was white like its fur to be distinguished from the others. Trago, now an ice dragon, lifted Sven up and began to race after the sound of the original's flapping wings. Trago running through the lake and through the fog, Sven tried his hardest to peer past the fog and called out in slight anger, "Hey, who made this fog!?" "Did you hear that?" Max asked as the voice of another Tamer faded into the background. Glancing around them Jasper shivered as the echo of a very large predator's roar reached them, making him hide under the Kimono Girl's garments; only to be pulled out by the cloaked man. Farther within their own fog Iceis hovered over an area and, when she wasn't attacked, landed as quietly as she could manage. Lifting her head Iceis could also hear something in the distance- the loud beating of hooves. Rose and Grunhlem, the centaur causing the noise, had unknowingly stumbled into the fog and were now attempting to get out; attracting unwanted attention as they raced to break free. With the Ice Dragon, Armored Warrior, Fox Tamer and Centaur Rider converging on the group Daena was with the cloaked man had had enough of not being able to see more than three feet. Glancing at the Kimono Girl they both nodded and she stepped out away from the group. Max and Crystal looked at her before turning to him, "Are you sure you want her to-" "She knows what she's doing. Beside this is getting a bit annoying," he answered while she pulled a scroll from her sleeves and opened it. Mystical Symbols glowed, peeled from the page and floated around the mysterious beauty. Spinning around her in place it dispelled the fog, only to reveal the four other Tamers who had reached them unknowingly through the fog. Eyes opened wide in astonishment Max raised his double bladed axe ready to strike if anyone else moved a bit closer. Outside the game Snow looked around to see that he had been defeated, only to look at the screen and see the Tamer who had beaten him loose as well. Sighing he opened his Tamer System to log back in, but was unable too; being locked out by the committe. Grimmicing he ducked around the back Snow watched as another Tamer walked out of the committe office and looked at a pass with Mr. Valiant's personal stamp of approval. Quick thinking he walked towards the boy, trying his best to act friendly, with hopes that he would be able to sneak back in.
Guest Tainted Black
"AVE!" Josh ran to the roc, which had collapsed, or so it appeared, as soon as the battle was over. When he was arrived he was shocked, to his surprise, to find the large avaian creature had gone to sleep. He hit himself with the Nosferatu tome before pocketing it. He sat down on the bird's head, and said "What am I gonna do with you?" Referring to the roc, but speaking to no one in particular. He looked at Ave's wing, and noticed the scar looked agitated. He thought, and proceeded to do just that.
Damiano Tosē
Outside the game Snow looked around to see that he had been defeated, only to look at the screen and see the Tamer who had beaten him lose as well. Even though Snow was not the friendly type of person, he had to do something to get back in. Snow approached the Tamer with kindness and geneoristy. "Hello there. My name is Snow and i would know if i can get back into the game." The boy looked at Snow suspiciously and said, "What's in it for me?" Snow, with no hesitation but with quick thinking, said.... "well.... if you can get me in then i'll see if i can get you in too." Snow said as he looked at the boy. The Tamer then thought about it. The Tamer was lonely and had no friends. He was usually seen as an outcast, always in the background and all he wanted was a friend. So, with trusting Snow as his bestfriend on this one, he went back to the Committee office and slide the pass in, verifying that not only Snow can enter back in, but him also. "Thank you, friend." Snow said as he jumped back in. The Tamer also jumped in as well but as a swordsman. "You think i'm going to let you roam in the game alone?" encapturer
The fog was gone. Everything was visible once again. Daena noted she should ask about those scrolls later on, but for now, she just *might* be in trouble. Now face to face with potential enemies Daena brought out her longbow, but didn't draw the bowstring. Instead she just aimed the bow towards the tamer with the animated armor so that the bow wouldn't gather light and set off an unneeded fight. Irenia turned to the woman who was on the centaur, with many green strands already circling her small body as she hovered a few inches above Daena. Daena was sure that they had the upper hand, assuming the group who saved her would back her up. A quick glance to the side revealed that Max, at least, stood at the ready. In addition, the others came from different directions, so most likely, they were not working together. Still, she couldn't be careful enough, if fighting broke out, the least she could do is assist those who saved her. "Who are you?" Daena called out, before realizing that such a question would not help in this situation. If they think they're still in a tournament, they'll attack anyway, Daena thought. She stood there, carefully keeping the animated suit of armor in her sights, trusting Irenia and the others to cover her. As she waited for a response, a random thought hit her. Damn, I hope I don't look silly standing here with my bow out without an arrow to fire...
Andx
Evelyn and Flamme continued flying about the battlefield. Both were getting a bit restless at the lack of action they had had. Evelyn kept surveying the battles but never decided on where to go. There had been a large amount of mist that had caught her and Flamme's interest but it was gone now."What's the matter Evelyn? Why haven't we fought anyone yet?" Flamme asked his Tamer mentally."I don't know... I really want to do something but I can't decide. I guess just staying up here is one option to winning." she said back to him, though out loud. Flamme shook Evelyn around a bit to express his feeling on the matter."You know that's no fun. Now pick someone to fight and let's get going." Flamme said a bit irritated."Come on Flamme, you know I'd never do that. Now then..." Evelyn said as she looked. "To the place where the fog was!" she said excitedly. With that Flamme was content to be doing something. The wyvern took his Tamer to the place the fog had been up until this point. Still a good thirty feet in the air above the area she noticed a few other Tamers in the area. She was no doubt drawing their attention to herself at this point."So let's see. Maybe a blast in the middle of the group to set them all on edge." Evelyn thought. She opened her Tome, though she didn't need the words to cast. She looked at the scene and waited a bit. Perhaps if something happened she and Flamme could interrupt.
Jake the Sage
Watching the people down below Evelyn could hear another voice calling out to her, not Flamme as she had become accustomed too but another female. Whoever she was had a sweet voice that had something different about it that one just couldn't place their finger on. The voice seemed to be speaking right beside Evelyn, "Don't . . . No Attack . . . Bad To Attack . . ." With the voice running through Evelyn's ear she could hardly notice the action down below. Though Daena had drawn her longbow, though without any physical arrows to show, the cloaked man put his hand on her wrist and lowered her aim from the armored beast, walking in front of everyone, and smiled. Max and Crystal, though astonished their 'leader' was acting so brave/foolish [respectively], they didn't lower their guard. "So I take it that all we have left is the few people here and a couple scattered around, eh?" he said with a small chuckle. Looking back at Deana, her eyes wide with suprise he had mentioned something like that, and then back over at everyone else, "Tell me . . . what have you thought about the game so far?" Damiano Tosē
Snow and the Tamer crossed the path and arrived at the beach. "I never got your name." The Tamer asked him. "Snow. Names Snow." Snow said as they stopped at the beach. "I never got yours either." Snow said as he looked at The Tamer. "Names Regret." Regret said as he sheathed his sword. "Why do they call you Snow?" Regret questioned Snow. Snow never got the idea of why his mother called him that. There could've been numerous reasons why he was named that. Probably because he like to play in the snow, or he like ice or crystals or the winter or for whatever reason. That question never really came into his mind until that one minute question. Yeah.... why did she call me Snow? Snow questioned himself in his mind as he was trying to think of an answer. "I.... I really don't know why. I guess it just came to me." Snow said as he looked at his Tamer device. He used his Tamer device to resummon his little pal, Dexter. He felt in his pockets the little black book with all his spells. "That's your partner huh? Sure is strong for such a little guy." Regret said as he looked at his Tamer device. Regret then summoned his partner, a behemoth night wolf. Snow looked up at Regret's partner. "Wow.... that wolf is big." Snow said looking at the night wolf. "Yeah it sure is." Regret said. "So your a mage right? Guess you know alot about spells huh?" Regret said as he looked at Snow while walking along the way. "You can say that. The only spells i require are all elemental spells, but mostly ice and dark. The others.... come from the book." Snow said as they kept on walking. As they two kept on walking with their partners, the duo saw other Tamers in the battlefield. "I wonder who they're fighting?" Regret questioned as he witnessed what had happened. "Time to find out." Snow said as he and Regret ran to the battlefield.
Andx
"What was that?" Evelyn thought at the voice. She just stared blankly outward. She closed the tome without really knowing what she was doing. The voice had made her lose all focus. It seemed to be mental, like talking with Flamme but Evelyn didn't recognize it. Still she didn't even think of disobeying it. She just kept starting thinking about it. "What's the matter Evelyn? Hurry up and attack!" Flamme said rocking her a bit. Evelyn slightly regained her focus but she still wasn't really paying attention. She lowered the tome and tried to locate the owner of the voice."Evelyn!" Flamme said really shaking Evelyn around this time. She finally snapped back into reality somewhat."What?" she said shocked."What's wrong?" Flamme asked concerned. Evelyn wasn't sure how to respond."I don't know. I heard another voice, in my head. It told me not to attack anyone down there." Evelyn said."You heard another voice?! That's not possible." Flamme said. He was worried so he climbed another ten feet in the air thinking that the proximity to the place might have been affecting her."What are you doing?" Evelyn asked."Getting you away from there. It must be someone there messing with you. It seems you were right, we're just going to have to stay up here if we're going to win." Flamme said."Right..." Evelyn said still sort of unfocused. She stared down at the ground wondering what was going to happen.
Damiano Tosē
Snow and Regret stayed a far away distance from the battlefield as possible. Snow knew a couple of spells that can help them not be seen but that would be cheating [in Snow's book of cheating]. "What do you think we should do? We can't just stand here and aimlessly watch them." Regret said as he unsheathed his sword. "Hmm.... your right." Snow said as he agreed with Regret. Snow did not know what to do other than to just rush in and attack. But that plan would fail easily so they had to think of something. Snow looked around everywhere to find something that he could use to him and Regret's advantage. Unfortunately, he found nothing. Suddenly, Regret spotted a cliff and standing on the edge was a different Tamer, with his partner, a giant. "Look!" Regret told Snow as Snow looked at Regret's direction. Oh no. Not those guys again. Snow thought in his mind as he referred to the Tamer with the giant. "No. That's a disadvantage. Night wolf and a baby dragon against a giant won't work." Snow said as he continued to look at the battlefield. "Well we have to think of something." Regret said while also looking at the battlefield. Your right. We do have to think of something. Snow thought in his mind.
The Warden
Aaron and Lancet kept walking up the beach, keeping the Tamer team in his sights. 'No point in wasting my time with them. A fairy and a carbuncle, not really worth my time to commit a six on two battle anyways' he thought as he and Lancet walked straight past the group without batting an eyelid. 'I think we should try to training with a few wild ones around here. I've been itching to try the lightning spike strategy' he said to Lancet. encapturer
"Buh?!" Daena exclaimed, her bewilderment written all over her face. "Uhh... technically it's a masterpiece, but there are a few balance issues... as if some super-genius wrote it and vanished, and no one knows how to edit the code" she continued, answering the man's question. She still held the bow, though her right hand no longer touched the string. Irenia above, still had her magic primed, but was watching the stranger now. "Wait a minute here." Daena then said, the surprise from the man's actions fading. "Why are you exposing yourself like that? I know you said this isn't really a tournament, but that's still kind of dangerous." She didn't raise her bow again yet as to not disrespect the one who saved her. If the others started attacking, she knew that Irenia would protect her. Daena spotted her former target walking off as she replied. Irenia caught that, too, so she loosed some of her wind energy to create a strong gale that blew right in front of Aaron and Lancet, thinking that was what Daena would have wanted. Daena merely facepalmed. "Irenia, if they wanted to leave, there's no reason for us to stop them..." she said, sighing, not noticing that the girl in the Kimono was doing exactly that; holding up the two. Jake the Sage
The cloaked man smiled again, avoiding the questions by walking alongside Aaron and Lancet, "A new stratagem, hu?" Before the stranger was able to stop the two the Kimono Girl was already in front of them and starring innocently, looking at Lancet with curiosity; poking him occassionally. The Warden
Aaron and Lancet stopped in their tracks, both by the odd man now by their side, but by the strange girl in a kimono who was poking Lancet. 'Would you place stop doing that?' he asked of her, before moving around her and walking off with Lancet in tow. 'I don't get why people are so wary of you Lancet. They act as if they've never seen a Tsukumogami before' he said to his partner, who, as usual, said nothing.
Damiano Tosē
"Well.... it beats standing here then. Come on let's fight." Regret said as he jumped up quick and ran to the battlefield. This kid.... is defintely something else. Snow thought in his mind as he ran after Regret. Snow and Regret ran up the hill and looked at the view. "Hmm.... i guess that's where we're headed." Snow said as he looked at Regret. "Yep. But we need to have a stronger team. There are alot of strong enemies down there." Regret said as he looked at his Tamer device. "How are we going to get more allies?" Snow questioned Regret as he looked behind him and saw a dragon fly over him. "That part i don't know." Regret answered as he looked at the battle. Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
OOC: Jake, it was the Giant that they saw earlier not the dragon. DragonJLB the fox changed into a giant. IC:"We'll I can be a challenger if your willing to fight. I'd personally rather just be alone," Sven stated as he sat ontop of Trago's head. He watched the two settle to the ground and he decided he should too. Trago changed back into a fox and Sven hopped off just as he changed back into a fox. "Why exactly are you here anyway?" he asked themas him and Trago walked up to the two.
Jake the Sage
Aaron and Lancet stopped as the Kimono girl stood in front of them. See was examining Lancet with a lot of interest, still occassionally poking him. Grinning Max and Crystal looked at each other, Max speaking first, "Well it looks like she's found something she likes." "Yeah," Crystal replied while the cloaked man watched Trago revert to a fox, finally showing a bit of interest.
DragonJLB
" HA This tournament sounded like fun." Rift said as he slid off of Iceis back. Iceis watched as they approched her and her partner. She growled warning them to stop. Then she said " First mistake...you have not introduced your self , second... you approch me with out my or my partners permisson." At the end she let out another growl. Rift looked at her her head was low to the ground ,her teeth where showing, and the most minosing growl was comeing from deep with in her chest. " Well You've done it now, she's pissed." Rift then looked at this man , then said with an unhappy look " ANd I dont like it when she's unhappy." Rift then stood their feet wide and hands out, his long sword in his right hand.
The Warden
Aaron and Lancet were again stopped by the strange girl. Lancet showed no obvious dislike to the girls invasion of his personal space, but then again, he was kind of incapable of showing emotion like discomfort. Aaron picked up on that straight away. 'Really girl; would you please stop doing that. Lancet may not be able to feel your pokes, but thye still do bring discomfort to him. So please, stop and desist' he said to her. Guest Tainted Black
Josh and Ave had taken off after the bird had slept a few minutes. As Josh looked around from his literal bird's eye view, he noticed a group of congregated people and a cloake man. "Huh. I wonder what that's about. Do you?" He asked the Roc, and was rewarded with a slight caw-ing noise. "I'll take that as a yes." He said, as he swore he heard a sigh of sorts, "Alright, down Ave." As the Roc lowered and landed, hhe hopped off. "Hello people." He said plainly, before leaning against the already slumbering bird. "Carry on."
Jake the Sage
Hearing the sound of flapping wings the cloaked man had readied himself for any incoming attack, but stopped once he heard the voice of the Tamer calmly tell them to carry on. Stopping, only his mouth visable, Josh could see a grin appear before he gave a sigh, not noticing the Kimono Girl still poking at the suit of armor. Though the group had been observing each other for a good bit, it was begining to get on Crystal's nerves as everyone examined the others around her; even believing, as she always does, that all of them were staring at her because of how she looked. Sighing, catching Amy's attention, she waved her hand in front of her face, "Can't you guys at least say something? I know I'm a bit intimidating at first but that's no reason to be shy towards a beautiful girl like me . . ." Laughing, as if it was some kind of joke, Max inched away while Amy tried the impossible to explain that no one was specifically watching Crystal; for her looks at least. Not wanting to sit down the cloaked man instead searched around for his partner, Jasper, and discovered he had actually floated towards the Roc and it's Tamer. Buzzing around Josh he questioned, "So you own a Roc, eh boy? I'll have to admit that really isn't something to be suprised about. A LOT of people actually have a Roc as a partner . . ." "Excuse me," the cloaked man called to Rift, who was know holding up his longsword to the kitsune's Tamer, "But I don't think we need to be fighting anymore"
Guest Tainted Black
Josh turned to Max. "Oh, it's you! One of those little sneaks." He said it quietly, with a slight grin. "Well, well, succeeded in a fight yet? I figure not." He gave a good natured grin before continuing. "I'm only joshin' you. And with that, my introduction is done. And, yes, I have a roc. Name's Ave. And you are, besides a sneak? Hm?" He chuckled, and the roc behind him yawned, loudly. He gave the roc a look that said 'Really? NOW?!?! What in the devil is wrong with you?!' He knew it was to no avail, but it made him feel better.
Jake the Sage
Max and Crystal turned red and started to almost freak out when Josh had whispered they had snuck in, telling him too keep something like that quite, pointing to the sky. Once they had successuflly made Josh promise not to raise the question again Max stood up proudly and raised his voice, "I defeated a Kraken today!!!" Now if anything was going to catch everyone else's attention, it was that; due to the Kraken having been one of the highest level partners in the game, not to mention his Tamer was ranked 6th in the district. Laughing Max was enjoying the attention everyone was giving him until Tommy, his blue tiger cub partner, coughed and eyed him warrily, "Don't you think you should tell the truth?" "Yeah Max," Amy chimmed in, fluttering a few feet from his face and pointing to the Kimono Girl, "It was Eve who beat that thing . . ." Max's jaw could not've dropped farther when the truth was exposed, making all of the other Tamers glare angerly at him, only to look over their shoudlers at the happy little girl still messing with the suit of armor. Shaking his head Max pointed at Crystal, "Oh yeah!? At least I didn't run away when it began attacking us!" "Why you little!" she flared in anger, stomping his foot, "Well you started to cry like a baby!!!" His friends begining to pull and kick at each other, almost as if they were four year old siblings, the cloaked man just laughed and shrugged his shoudlers. Jasper commenting on how those two always did something like this, which the cloaked man couldn't disagree with, "But at least they can cooperate most of the time . . ." "True," Jasper nodded landing on his Tamer's shoudler.
Andx
Flamme looked out on the gathering of Tamers and partners below. Nothing seemed to be happening. Evelyn was leaning forward, resting her head on Flamme's neck. Hearing another voice in her head had really shook her up. Still they were too high to really hear what was going on and Flamme felt it was important they find out."Evelyn. Are you okay with me going down to see what's going on?" he said to her."...Sure. We need to find out." Evelyn said."Don't worry. I won't let them do anything to you. When we get down, don't get off and I won't let them near you. If you hear that voice again tell me and I'll get you right out of there." Flamme said. It was odd for him to have to take charge but he had to until Evelyn recomposed herself."Alright, thank you Flamme." She said. With that the large wyvern descended on the group of Tamers. He didn't land very close to anyone else there as he didn't trust anyone else there and he didn't want Evelyn freaking out. Certainly a wyvern and his Tamer landing would draw the group's attention. Evelyn made no move to get off of Flamme and instead sort of hid herself from the others, meaning Flamme mostly blocked her from view. From Flamme's stance it was quite obvious that Evelyn was not to be approached and that they were simply there to listen in on what was happening. Damiano Tosē
Snow and Regret.... two warriors going for the same pace, the same goal, the same mission, looked at their direction as they started to walk to their destination. Snow and Regret looked up and saw an unusual Tamer riding what appears to be a large wyvern. "Hmm.... i've seen one of those animals before but i can't make my mind of it." Regret said as he and Snow went to a hiding spot. Regret then used his Tamer device system to conjure a large eagle. The large eagle then rose from the skies and landed right toward Regret and Snow. Well that makes sense. But with that wvyern at her side, it may be to make an ally of. Since most partners are really protective of their Tamer. Snow thought to himself as he saw Regret hopping on the eagle. Snow then saw Regret fly off to the Tamer as Snow looked at his little partner, Dexter. He said petting the little dragon.
