Jack sighed. "Seline...i'm a sadistic man...I've killed too many people to count. And did you know." He said as he almost completley silently moved behind Seline and pressed the cold blade of his axe to her throat. "People...no matter WHO they are have some kind of shift when they lie. I know this because i ALWAYS see the true nature of someone just as they stand at the edge of death." He said as the blade inched closer and closer to her jugular. He could almost smell her blood and it sent him into a quick wave of rapture. "Don't ever try to lie to me Seline...you will fail." He said as he took his Axe from her throat and put it away. "So...what is your REAL story Seline?" Jack asked. Ready to pay attention.

"Okay then sounds goo-!!!" Evelyn started as the boat suddenly sped off after Matsue's and Crystal's boat. Neither Evelyn or Flamme had quite been expecting it but after a bit of time with that speed she was okay with speaking again as the boat wasn't suddenly changing speed. They soon came along side Matsue and Crystal's boat and both appeared to be quite soaked by the splashes Matsue's fireballs were creating. Yaming took the time to tell a little joke, one that Crystal didn't appreciate. As the splashes would soon be coming towards them, Evelyn wanted to calm down Matsue quickly.

"Matsue! Stop the fireballs! That will stop the splashing, and the boat!" she called out, the noise provided by the speed of the passing wind requiring her to yell. She had to wonder if that would work considering Crystal had probably tried to tell her to stop a few times.

"Flamme, you may need to fly over her head and get her attention." Evelyn told her partner. Flamme gave her an expression that conveyed what he was about to say well enough.

"Are you crazy? She may well turn those fireballs on me!" he responded. Evelyn considered the possibility and believed Flamme's concerns to be valid.

"Still, it may be the only thing we can do. Just be ready in case we can't talk her out of it." Evelyn said. She then chose to wait for a moment before sending Flamme off. Mostly because she was certain that Flamme couldn't easily maintain the speeds they were moving at, and she was really hoping what just talking with Matsue would work.

Zane and Rio entered the building and thought they heard familiar voices. Zane brushed it off and thanked the innkeeper. Rio was worried though and decided to wander off. "Hey Rio, lets go ahead and get some-" Zane started as he turned to look at Rio who was walking down a random hallway. "hey Rio!" Zane yelled as he raced off after him. For some reason though the innkeeper looked familiar...

Meanwhile Rio was looking for two things. Food because he was starving and the source of those other voices. They eventually died down and he found a door. He opened it just as Zane caught up to him. "Wait Rio no that it ru-" Zane never finished as he ran into Rio and they toppled into the room.

Kiki dug down a couple feet before the sound of nails scrapping against something hard rang out through the cave walls. Looking down Delano could not have guessed that despite his logical plan that underneath the cave was an extremely hard layer of sediments that Kiki could not possibly dig through.

"So how long d'ya think it'll take for him to die??" one of the men asked their leader as the sound of rustling died down, "It'll take three days at least unless he has some water, but we wont have to worry. No one aint' comming for him. Thats the beaut' of lone travelers . . ."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course Matsue didn't stop blasting the fire balls at the water. She had been driven into a state of unparallel fear by the splashing water and her logical mind had been taken over by the desire to get away. The only thing that would poswsibly snap her out of this state of mind now was to either hit land or be taken into the air; either way it involved her getting away from the water. A sudden shift in the current sent Yaminga nd Evelyn twisting to the right as their boat collaided with the others.
"Woah . . . didn't see that coming," Yaming mentioned, more to herself than anyone in particular, and swayed back and forth; managing to remain inside the boat thanks to her magic. Looking up a herd of Akhlut burst from the lake surface and dived back in, "I think we need to get to land now or possibly get Iceis here . . ."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Seline felt Jack's axe against her throat and her sadness was replaced by anger . . . a lot of anger. Once he took it away from her skin and put it up she watched him move to her left out og the corner of her eye. She was ready to turn around and slam him in the face but he then asked her the real sotyr behind her village.

"You don't need to know," she said before throwing him out and locking the door. Stomping over to her bed she turned around, allowed herself to fall, and then covered her eyes, "I can't believe I was even THINKING about actually telling him . . ."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking up Rio and Zane could see a completley empty room with no one around. Had they been hearing the voices or was it just fatigue effecting their senses? Either way once they had fallen Harriet quickly ran into the room and looked down at the boy and his carbuncle, "Sir Zane are you all right?"
She bent over and helpped him to his feet and dusted him off, not quite sure how he fell or where he had ran off too, but it didn't bother her mind too much. Once he was dusted off she stepped back and smiled warmly at them, "I suppose you can use this room. Would you like anything else before you turn in?"
Jack facepalmed. Hard. "Smooth like a Dragon's ass-scales Jack...Real smooth" He walked over to his room and left the door open. Why did Seline bother him so much. She was a high class warrior that lets emotions get in her way. She lies BLATANTLY and acts suprised when people get pissed. Okay granted he was acting like a bit of a creep but...wait..why was all of this occuring to him now. "God...this realm must be screwing with my head harder than i thought...ugh." He groaned and thought to himself. (If Sir Irwin wanted us to bond REALLY im pretty sure he's pissed right about now. This is gonna be a LOOOOOONG painful partnership with her.) Jack thought as Bane joined him on his bed.
"Hmm... Going down is not gonna work. Lets try the back of the cavern the rock there should be the same as the other rock" Delano said Kikiania turned around and walked to the back of the cavern and started digging just below the rocks of the cavern. "If you have to use your teeth" Delano said to Kikiania Delano than pulled out his lance than started to thrust his bone lance at a spot in the rock several times. Remembering the density of the bone from the bear he did not except it to break easily or at least not without leaving a crack or two into something.
Daena shifted a bit in her sleep, not knowing her movements were being constrained by Josh's arm. Her dream was uneventful and unmemorable, a nice change from that confusing mess she dreamed up before. And in the end, sleeping on the floor wasn't that bad; sure the bed was much more comfortable, but she expected to spend an hour just getting comfortable.
Daena awoke due to a beam of sunlight flashing on her face; she wanted to sleep longer, but the light would not relent, so she was forced to awaken. It took a few moments for her sight to adjust, but she was in for quite the surprise. Daena's face...was right in front Josh's sleeping face. She did not recognize him at first with him so close to him so she let out a scream and quickly attempted to move away from him, but all that did was cause her to bump her head on the bed frame. Falling back down on her pillow, she laid there silently, head buried in the pillow while rubbing the side of her head.
Irenia seemed to had woken up ad well due to Daena's antics. This time, there were thankfully no random blasts of wind magic. Still, she was quite surprised to not find Daena in the bed. She took to the air, and quickly spotted the back of Daena's head.
"There you are!" Irenia said excitedly. It was kind of bizarre for her to be this active in the morning. "Why are you down there?"
"Not now, Irenia," Daena replied drowsily, sticking her head from the pillow for a moment.
"Hmph," Irenia pouted. At least, she did until she took notice of Daena's immediate area. Josh and Daena were awfully close, and his arm was *still* around Daena. Irenia's eyes shone brightly at this scene, and started giggling, flying overhead excitedly, before settling down back on the bed. In the end, she decided not to bother them for now, though she'll need to speak with Josh later...
The wall before him was grand in size, reminding him of the supposed Great Wall of china he had only read about. Only instead of having the visibile curves of the great wall, it seemed simply to go straight out in either direction, streching far beyond his plain of vision. He had realised now however that he had lost the supposed life in this ghost town, as the footsteps had aleady faded away. And yet, he still saw no one. Perhaps something was guiding him to this wall, but for what purpose? He felt that some of his answers must have lied over the wall, but he was in no condition to climb it, and without talon he could not be carried either. "So now what do I do?" He proclaimed feeling no more informed than when he first left his room.
"I wouldn't say I'm 'pissed right about now'," Sir Irwin said from his spot on the opposaite bed, "I would say I'm more disappointed than anything."
He looked over with a small grin on his face, he seemed to always have a reason for smiling, and put down the picket knife and wood carving he had been fiddeling with. He stood up and walked over until he was standing right in front of Jack, with both hands on his waist, "You need to learn that violence is sometimes not the best answer. Despite Seline being a warrior she is still a teenage girl and needs to be treated with delicate hands. Now come with me . . ."
Turning around SIr Irwin headed straight for the door and paused when he swung it open, his head turning back around, "Oh and by the way . . . I'm not phycic . . . you're just easy to read . . ."
"Hey you!" someone yelled before the resounding clatter of metal hitting the stone streets rang out. Looking over Artemis could see a group of heavily armed men heading towards him, their helmets conceiling their entire faces, and they moved with a lot of haist. Stopping and surrounding him he could see that they were knights and had the same crest embedded on their chests as the one stitched on the flags within the walls perimeter.
The commotion caused by Deana waking up, seeing Josh beside her, and hitting her head on the bed frame hadn't woken Josh up from his lumber. Instead he merely sighed and wrapped his arms around Deana tighter, pulling her closer to him. Letting out a sigh he then leaned in and kissed Deana without ever realizing what he was doing. The muffled noise of the two people below him miraculiously, seeing as a scream hadn't done the trick, woke Sammie up from his sleep. While JOsh's sleeping mind still locked lips with Deana, Sammie stood up in the empty bed. Scratching the top of his head he looked around sleepily and realized no one was in the bed with him, positively remembering Deana and him were going to be sharing one, "Hey where is everyone?"
He had asked that more to himself than anyone else before crawling to the edge of the bed, possibly to get up and look for Deana and Josh, but was stopped by the sight of them making out. The young boys face turned bright red as he saw them and soon his childish mindframe took hold as he pointed out before yelling, "Josh you're kissing a girl! Thats so gross!"
Like the low sound of a kiss having woken Sammie up this audiable remark from Sammie was enough to stir JOsh from his sleep. Concious, but having yet opened his eyes, his mind quickly gathered itself while his position from before laid undistrubed, "Was that Sammie yelling? Whats he yelling for? Are we being attacked? And what's this soft thing on my . . . lips?!" Opening one eye Josh suddenly realized what he was doing, not that Deana's silently stunned face hadn't explained everything at a moments glance, and he quickly broke off from Deana and scooted himself backwards, "D-De-Deana I SWEAR I . . . I'm so sorry!"
With the pain from banging her head mostly gone, Daena figured it was a good a time as any to get up and prepare to leave. Josh's arm was still around her, but he was sleeping, so it should be a simple matter to move his arm and stand, right?
Unfortunately, whatever Josh was dreaming about caused him to react again, pulling Daena in closer to him. He was surprisingly strong, and Daena didn't exactly want to wake him..
...And then they kissed.
He seems pretty deep in his dream, Daena though, before she realized *what* he was doing because of that dream. That's it, he's got to wake up now! Daena thought, but before she could do anything, Sammie appeared on the bed, looking down on the two.
"Josh you're kissing a girl! Thats so gross!"
That seemed to wake Josh up, although it wasn't quick enough for Daena who was stuck in the embarrassing situation. Once awake, though, he distanced himself from her in a hurry and apologized profusely. His sudden outburst was enough to make her blush in embarrassment for thinking about complaining about his actions while unconscious.
"It's... it's fine - you were sleep.... right?" She looked downward, as to not look him in the eyes. "You weren't consciously doing that, so...." Daena paused. She knew the best way to clear up misunderstandings was to talk things out, but she couldn't do that. Not in her current state.
"I'm going to get ready!" Daena said, hastily standing up and walking out of the room, closing the door behind her.
Irenia scratched her head and looked at the door puzzingly, then looked at Josh with the same confused look on her face.
"What did you do?" she said, flying towards Josh. Her knowledge of these matters was patchy at best, no thanks to Daena turning off the housing unit all the time. But she liked Josh, so she was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt instead of blasting him out of the house.
***
Daena briskly walked through the building until she stood at the entryway of the cabin. It was here she noticed she left her weapons behind in the room, but she was in no mood to return just yet. She leaned her forehead against a nearby wall and sighed. What am I doing? she though to herself, trying to sort out her thoughts. She was normally calmer and reigned in her emotions, except when in battle... in the game. Am I losing control because I'm stuck here? Because I'm not home?
Jack followed Sir Irwin. He had thought he heard something about his being a Sage before from the bystanders when he first saw him. Now he didnt doubt it. That irritatingly wizened smile that said he knew everything. His innate ability to READ people. And not to mention his subtle ability to revel in that fact without seeming conceited. Jack followed not quite knowing where Sir Irwin was leading him. But he trusted that he wouldnt try to kill him. (But then again you never know with these sage types) He decided to bring his axe along just in case. And he called Bane to walk with them.
Evelyn sort of sighed when simply talking did nothing to stop Matsue. She was about to say something else, possibly to get Flamme on getting Matsue's attention, when a current shift shoved their boat into Crystal and Matsue's, shaking all four up a bit as it did so. Evelyn took the opportunity to grab a hold of one of Matsue's shoulders and shake her a bit in order to get her attention off the rush of fire balls. As she was about to speak up, Yaming made note of something up ahead. It appeared a group of monsters were immediately up ahead and trying to get past them on the boat would rather foolish.
Evelyn stopped the slight shaking motion she had been making to catch Matsue's attention and focused in on the monsters as Yaming suggested they get back to land quickly. Evelyn made quick use of her Tamers unit to take the green tome Gale out just in case one of the Akhlut came too close to their group. She knew she couldn't hold back the herd even if she could cast Gale more than a few times a day.
"Yaming, any ideas on how to get back faster than we got here?" Evelyn said. As she did so she had her tome open, the pages glowing green, ready to cast the spell on a moment's notice.
"Ahh... thank you. I apologize for that miss. we will be taking our leave now." Zane said. He ushered Rio inside the room and closed it. He spent the next several minutes berating Rio. The room had one bed and a chair. After an intense argument Rio ended up on the bed and Zane in the chair. For some reason Zane refused to sleep in a bed, even at home in the real world he slept in a chair. Home... I wonder if I'll ever get back... I need to find my way in this world. I can't stay here forever, so I must venture out soon but not until I learn a few things from this place first... With that thought in his head Zane fell asleep.
"I uh . . . ummm," Josh mumbled, his face turning red, and looked down meekly. He wouldn't like to admit it but that had been his first kiss with a girl. Pathetic, I know right? Here he was a twenty two year old man and he had never kissed a woman before. What can we say? He was never comfertable around the opposite gender. "I can't believe I did that . . . why did I do that?" he thought to himself letting his fingers touch his lips, the ones he had kissed Deana with. He then looked up with a bit of confidence and looked up at Irenia, "Can you . . . y'know . . . go get Deana for me?"
Once the fiary had left the room Josh could feel Sammie's eyes peering through him and he turned to see the young boy staring at him from the edge of the bed, "You . . . are so gross!"
"Hey now," was the only reply he could make ruffing the boy's hair.
"Nothing that can get us away from those things soon enough!" Yaming said sending both boats backwards at the maximum speed she could muster. A sudden burst of motion came from in front of them as the lake beasts leapt out form their watery designations and flailed in the air. Crystal stood up in the boat and gapped at the sight of the large creature, "I think I've seen those before!"
"H-How could you ha-ave seen those things before!?" Matsue stammered, now more afraid of the large water beasts than the actual water itself, and then held her hand out ready to attack; not quite sure if it'd even affect the creature's hide. Yaming had even made a mental note that she'd had no idea what they were yet someone "not from Orai" knew what they were against. Standing up Crystal lost her balance for a moment, her hands waving frantically, until she regaine dher composure. Pulling her arrows out she looked over to the other boat, "These are Akhluts! I saw them during a live video feed of an all stars tournament! They're supposed to be orca-wolf shapeshifters and they just love to have company over for dinner . . ."
Crystal might have avoided stating the obvious, but it was pretty well known now that these things were after them . . . purely as an afternoon snack!
Sir Irwin had lead Jack all the way across town and then completely out of it. Did he mean to leave Seline behind and continue their journey alone? No . . . that coulnd't be it, could it? Looking back he would let his eye wander over Jack's entirty and smiled when he noticed the axe and Bane; the later having followed. Turning back around he looked to the horizon and made a slight turn to the right, "Glad you brought your axe and Bane along with us . . . you'll be needing both of them."
Talk about cryptic if you ask me. We can be sure that Sir Irwin wasn't going to leave Seline behind, no he had already made it apparant he wouldn't do that. But why would he want him to follow him, in the dead of night, ot into the middle of no where? Thgouhts of murder would dance in most normal men's minds by now. Only the ever closer mountain range gave hint to Sir Irwin's plans.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Zane and Rio had taken to their rooms and fallen asleep; one in the chair and the other having actually used the bed. Their sleep remained largly undisturbed until the wee hours of the morning when a large thud broke the seemingly endless line of dreams. Then came a yell and the sound of feet walking throughout the house. From there the noise continued to escilate until the distinct creak of their door opening up hit their ears. Harriet stood there with a little girl and lightly knocked on the door, "Excuse me sirs . . . but breakfeast is ready for ya'll . . ."

Jack tensed. He prepared to either spring or counter Sir Irwin's inevitable attack. He anticipated it from anywhere. From the front, the back, either of his flanks or even from beneath his feet. But no attack came. Jack was prompted to finally ask. Louder than he expected of Sir Irwin. "Just where the Bloody Hell are you taking me?" Jack asked as his hand flew to his Axe instinctivley, Every muscle tensed to spring at Sir Irwin before he attacked. But Jack noticed something. He was so tensed he couldnt move. That had never happend. He had actually been locked up out of sheer anticipation...Or was it fear?

Irenia stared at Josh for a moment, and figuring he was sincere, flew out of the room, having Sammie open the door for her. No matter how hard she thought, she couldn't figure out why Josh was so embarrassed. He kissed Daena, she thought to herself, trying to sort out what happened to the best of her ability. Isn't that a good thing? I know I'd like to kiss Daena... Shouldn't everyone want to kiss Daena? ...Of course, with thoughts like those, it was clear wasn't any closer to solving the mystery.

As she wandered the hallways, Irenia passed by Harriet and Susie in the hallway and waved at them as she passed them by; it was good they were awake, for Irenia would be in trouble if Daena hid behind a closed door. Still, they seemed busy, so she didn't really stop. Eventually she found Daena slumped against the the wall on the floor muttering to herself.

"Daena, Daena! There you are!" Irenia said, moving down in front of Daena's face.

Daena looked up at her fairy partner, now no longer deep in thought. "Hey Irenia," she replied. Her voice was solemn and distant, and Irenia was not used to her speaking like that.

"Hey, Josh wants to see you. Did he hurt you?" Irenia asked. "He seemed sad or something."

Sad? Daena thought, I'm sure she meant embarrassed. To actually answer Irenia's question, Daena shook her head. "No, he didn't hurt me."

"Oh, good." Irenia said, now lively fluttering about. "Well, I don't get it, but he still wants to see you."

"Well, I don't know either but..." Daena began, but suddenly started to chuckle to herself.

"What's wrong?" Irenia asked, now no longer moving about.

"Nothing....haha..." Daena said, regaining her composure. "It's nothing." I can't believe how selfish I was, Daena thought to herself. I just left because I was feeling a bit uncomfortable, and Josh, who was probably more embarrassed, wants to try to sort things out!

"Haha..." Daena laughed at herself one last time, confusing poor Irenia even more. She stood up and began walking back to the room. "Alright Irenia, let's go." Daena said, her voice now back to normal. This seemed to satisfy Irenia, who rode Daena's shoulder back to the room.

Sven happened to be walking back after losing Lilith's trail. He remembered the other Tamer he saw, but never got a chance to talk to him. He soon saw a bunch of knights walking into an alley and calling out to someone. This got his interest peaked because knights don't just go into an alley for a single commoner. It would of had to have been the other Tamer. Trago looked up at Sven as Sven looked down. "Looks like we'll have to fight them buddy," Sven said. They ran to the side of the alley and stood behind the wall. Trago turned his head around the wall with Sven to watch what the Knights and the other Tamer would do.

As the knights or guardians of this ancient structure circled around him, gears in arty's brain began to place questions and facts together. Obviously this wall must be important. It was most likely that it was some kind of barrier or outer wall of a high class society's castle, maybe even that of a monarchy or even the city barracks. But by now it was asssumed that this was not the cities outer wall, considering the flags were hung inside the wall. Why tell the people who already lived there who they were? It just seems redundant.

But as for the Knights, they were a slightly more concerning matter. Arty didn't plan on being attacked in the city and had only pockets containing bed straw on him. What ever advantage he might be able to have should the situation turn hostile is his much greater speed than the bulky knights, so he would have to make sure they did not surround him. Turning to face the one who had called him straight on, he started to talk. "Is there a problem, Sir?"

"You need to leave this area now, sir!" one of the knights said as he placed a hand on his sword. The knights seemed to be warry of the person and his partner despite the friendly tone of voice they had addressed him with. It was possible that they had assumed he would be a threat, and still considered him one, up until one of the knights on the outside saw something . . .

It was out of the corner of his eye, and faint, but he had seen something move behind him. And being a Knight his first reaction was to confirm what he had seen by addressing the matter, having to turn around to do so. Through his visor the knight had uncanny vision, far superior to a normal persons by any measure or extent; easily picking Sven out behind the wall. Grasping his sword he called out, "You there! Come out know!"

That call from one of their owns seemed to get the others readied for a possible ambush as they shoved Arty to the wall and unseathed their swords.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sir Irwin smiled and shook his head as the looked at Jack staring back at him, frozen in place, "You'll have to wait for that until they get here . . ."
Nodding his head to the right Jack could see a group of people, clad in roughly looking made armor, heading their way; obviously who Sir Irwin had referanced. Grining Sir Irwin unclasped the hook which had kept his coat attatched and let it hang loosely there, waiting for the rougues to get close enough. His hands formed a fist, making the leather covering them squeak and stretch, and he reaied them for a fight; one had to wonder if Sir Irwin even used magic to enhance his own strength.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While Irenia had went off to get Deana Josh had spent his time trying to convince Sammie that he wasn't gross or anything like that for kissing a girl. Yet all the talking in the world did nothing to the logic of a little boy as he shook his head again and again . . . and again until Josh let out a sigh, "You just won't listen will you?"

"No because your gross!" Sammie said with a smile, though he had already moved past interest of what he had seen and was now purely annoying Josh for the hell of it. Getting up JOsh scratched the back of his head and noticed Sammie's sly smile, finally understanding that he was being toyed with, and let out a small laugh to himself. Quickly walking behind Sammie Josh lifted both arms and spoek softly, "So you think kissing is gross?"

"Yeah!"

"Wanna know what is worse?" Josh asked, his arms now high above his head, and didn't wait for an answer; he knew Sammie soon wouldn't have enough breath to answer. Yelling out 'being tickled to death' Josh grabbed hold of Sammie and began tickeling Sammie while laughing; if anyone didn't know the truth they'd think Josh and Sammie were possibly brothers. As Sammie's laugh rang out JOsh didn't hear the knock on the door nor did he notice when it opened.

Daena entered the room to the sight of Josh playing around with Sammie. She would have been surprised, but she knew that Josh was kind of silly in his own way, so something like this might have occurred at some point. In her current introspective state, she noticed how natural he was right now, compared to the other times, where he seemed... kind of stiff. Kind of like herself, really, with holding everything in. Of course, Josh being Josh, he'd let slip a thing or three. Well, that was the theory, anyway.

"Enjoying yourself when I'm not around, I see," Daena said jokingly as she sat down on the bed near the two. Irenia was content on staying on Daena's shoulder through this; it was comfortable and familiar, after all. "Glad to see you're alright, at least," Daena added, searching for a way to ease into conversation about what happened this morning and why Josh called her back so soon.

Sven walked out from around the corner while Trago followed him. "Is there some problem, Sir Knight?" Sven asked half heartily. Trago simply sat at Sven's feet and awaited a command before taking any action. Then Sven noticed the Tamer who he had seen earlier while following Lilith. "Wonder if this is why the Knights came into this alleyway," Sven thought to himself. He waited for an answer from the knights, knowing that his thoughts were probably correct. He also knew that they would probably have to take action since the Knights seemed to be taking hostile action for some unknown reason.

"Nothing?..." Evelyn sort of half said and half thought as Yaming stated they couldn't get away from the monsters now approaching them soon enough. The creatures were now actively pursuing them it seemed as they started moving out of the water in their direction. Crystal, as she stood and prepared herself to attack, mentioned something about how she'd seen the creatures. Something about a video feed from a tournament. Evelyn had watched tournaments but not with any regularity. Still, knowing what the Akhluts were didn't make their situation any better. Still something in Evelyn's mind was nagging at her. Something about how to get away fast enough. While still deep in thought her hands seemed to move on their own as she switched out her current tome for another.

This tome was a very dark blue. Though quite noticeably, a deep crimson leather strap was in place around the book, keeping it shut. The spell was called Tsunami and Evelyn began questioning why she had even brought it out.

"This... this could work. But, I haven't properly casted this once yet. And if I do cast it, however poorly, how much damage would that do to the town?" Evelyn thought. She was blankly staring at the tome as she thought about it now, not really focused in on what was happening anymore.

"Evelyn!" Flamme almost yelled if it was possible mentally. "Are you going to do anything or not? Don't just stand there staring at that book." he continued.

"I know, but this spell.." she said, trailing off.

"If you've decided to cast it, do it. But if not get your other tome back out and get ready to fight your way through these things." Flamme said. Evelyn was still debating. She had a spell that could kill the monsters and get them away, but also potentially destroy the nearby town. Thinking about the spell made her want to cast it and yet she knew she couldn't. As a result she stood there motionless as Yaming attempted to speed the boat away from the creatures.

Zane was the first one to get up. He walked over to Rio and pushed him. He repeated this act when Rio didn't wake until he pushed so hard that Rio fell off the bed. After Rio had dusted himself off he positioned himself between Zane and the people at the door, as he usually did. Zane yawned before speaking, "Ah yes thank you, if I may ask who is the little girl with you?" Zane asked as he pulled out his tome. He chanted a quick spell and both he and Rio instantly felt stronger. I'm glad that I decided to learn Strength of the Pack... now we should be able to help out around here.

"So where shall we eat, and then what can we do to help you?" Zane said with a nagging feeling that he usually felt around people. It was the urge to get away from them.

"Ah well . . . ummm . . ." Josh started to stutter as he pushed Sammie away from him and stood up. He dusted off the front of his shirt and fixed his hair before continuing, "I suppose Irenia got a hold of you since you're . . . you know . . . here . . ."

"Do you want me to leave so you can speak in private?" Sammie asked Josh with a sly grin, teasing him a bit. Josh quickly shook his head and held onto Sammie's shoulders to ensure he wouldn't be going anywhere. Though he wanted to talk things over with Deana anbout what had happened he didn't want to be left alone in the same room with her becaquse he felt he'd say something incredibly stupid. He had never been around a lot of girls before in the real world; this causing his uneasiness around them. Sammie merely shrugged his shouldedrs and waited for Josh and Deana to finish talking- he could already smell breakfeast being prepared.

"All I wanted to say is that I hope you aren't angry with me and that we can just put this all behind us," he said trying to hurry the already awkward atmosphere along.

"My names Susie and I'm Harreit's Tamer," the young girl said giving both of them a warm smile. Afterward Harriet waved by any suggestion of needing help and merely added in that they would be eating in the dinning room. Turning around she lead them into the small tile floored room and pointed out the meals that had been throughly prepared. There was every type of homebody breakfeast foods you might want from pancakes to a bunch of banannas. Susie pulled out a chair and slide herself into it as Harriet pulled two others out, "You may sit here whilst I go get the others . . ."

"Don't move young man!" the captain of the knights ordered as he held out the tip of his blade at Sven. Stepping closer to him the knights ignored the hissing and growling coming from the creature beside the man and checked his pockets for any weapons; if they had found any they quickly tossed them too the ground. Stepping back the knights included him beside the other Tamer and asked a single question, "What buisness do you have being around this noble ground?"

If neither had guessed before they were standing outside the outter wall of a noble family. If they knew anything about the history of Nomen then they would've recognized the insignia on the flags and would really understand the severity of this little bit of tresspassing. It was not any noble, but the royal family estate they were tresspassing upon.

Yaming would turn the boats to the left and then make a sharp right angle to the right to try and avoid the beasts, but they always kept on coming. She was so focused on her work that she'd never notice Evelyn pull out a new tome, nor would she have asked what it was about. Instead her mind was set on the impossible task of outracing the Akhluts to land before an attack.

"Get ready Evelyn!" Crystal called out as her bow string tensed with a strong pull of her right arm. Unlike Yaming she had noticed Evelyn switch out her tome and only concluded that she was getting something more powerful out; which was true. Once one of the Akhluts leapt out of the lake Crystal let fly an arrow which whizzed clean through the air and impaled itself into the creatures eye; the pain sending the creature into a panic and making splash back into the water.

"Land!!!" was the next thing anyone in the two boats heard as Matsue managed to stand up and point towards what looked like a beach which grew closer with each passing moment. Laughing happily Matsue had completely forgotten the situation she was in and turned to smile at Evelyn, "Now I can get out of this boat . . ."

Being shoved to the wall is not fun. Comparatively speaking, it's about the same feeling as walking into a door of which you thought was open, feeling the pain and startling shock course through your body. Then Imagine the same feeling, only this time have another door pushing against you on the opposite side, making an effectively in-escapable sandwich. So with each of these factors combined, there was no doubt as to the discomfort arty was feeling.

He groaned as he hit the wall, face shoved against aged stone of an unknown variety. Looking behind him, he saw the man who emerged from the shadows quickly get searched then placed against the wall like he was, though noticeably less forcefully. Judging from the beast acompanying him, he was a tamer but at this point that didn't matter: Against the wall, all are equal.

As the knight asked his question his brain thought at first about making a witty remark, but his inner judgment (the likes of which sounds eerily similair to his currently missing Firebird) convinced him to simply continue playing the polite game, considering he was rather easy to cut through with a sword.

"Well Sir, while I may not be able to speak for him, I actually have no business being here. I'm abit... well, lost; a simple traveler from VERY far away lands with no idea where I am, nor as to why I'm being shoved against this wall. If you search me you will find I have no more than straw on my person, and I don't believe that could possibly compare to your... Armaments. Though if you'd be so kind as to release me, I'd be glad to answer any of your questions and perhaps have the courtesy returned.
