"Ok i'm staying up here though the night sky is to awesome not to watch it and fall asleep" Delano said laying back while still mounted on Kikiania. "You should come up here there is a nice view of the stars from up here" Delano continued on not even thinking about his tamer system device not working correctly. Delano than pulled out a piece of bone that he hollowed out to pass the time until night time that he turned into a flute. Delano put his mouth onto the flute and started to play a calming tone to match the starry sky.

Daena took a few steps back as the voice boomed throughout the air. It was distinctly female, and probably had something to do with the tree that Eli was touching right now. Simply asking for directions? Amazing. Still, she had no idea how Eli was doing it, or who was speaking. A dryad perhaps? Not wanting to leave it to chance, Daena decided to let Eli do the talking as he supposedly knew what he was doing.

Irenia was surprised by the voice as well, and reacted in... typical Irenia fashion. "What do you mean, disturbing?" Irenia asked, sounding irritated. It took all of Daena's willpower not to facepalm right there; instead she covered Irenia's mouth with her finger. Fortunately, Irenia knows that's a sign to not speak.

Eli took a couple steps back and gave a polite bow, "I beg your pardon madam . . . but we appear to be lost . . ."

"No duh you lost elf boy," the voice said as the tree gavce a violent shake before the figure of a woman formed from the falling leaves. In front of everyone's eyes was a true dryad, though not one with the attitude Deana was expecting, and the tree folk seemed to sense it. Glancing over at her she pointed at Deana, "You need to stop your staring young lady. I get asked for a favor and you go ahead and decide to keep your eyeballs on me, its getting annoying!"

"Again we apologize ma'am, but would you be as so kind to tell us where we are and the nearest village is?" Eli asked so Deana, or more likely, Irenia wouldn't do anything to offend the dryad. The creature gave a small 'hmmm' and seemed to be thinking for a moment until Harriet placed a silver coin on the ground. The 'offering' was just the prompting the dryad needed to give them an answer, "Alright alright I'll tell you were you are! I swear by the gods you humans get lost easier than a seedling in a hurricane . . ."

"The location miss tree lady?!" Sammie said tapping his foot in annoyance.

"I know! I was getting to it! Don't rush me or I won't tell you!" she snapped at the little kid as he ducked behind Deana to hide. The dryad moved what was assumed to be hair out of her face and then looked at them, "Look . . . you're about ten miles from the shore of Lake Munda, I have a cousin who lives there, and the closest village is . . . is . . . TOMMY!"

""Yes?" came a voice and Deana could see that another tree spirit was emerging from the oak behind her. This one was obviouisly a male and seemed to be immense in stature, like the tree he dweled in, and scratched his 'beard' while the female dryad continued, "What's the closest village to were we at?"

"Amadahy baby you know that. It's only a couple miles from here, about a half a days walk from this spot," he replied much to the twins delight. A half a day would put them in Amadahy before nightfall and they could sleep on real comfertable beds that didn't stink or smell like old gym socks!

After thanking the two dryads, who promptly returned to their 'homes', Eli turned around and took of his top hat to show pointed ears, "To answer the question I know bothy of you want to ask . . . I am a half elf and my skill is natural magic. I am . . . Sammie's partner . . ."

Altaria and Bryce continued to wander around for the bar, the assumed place were questions could be easily answered, but by some trick of luck they found themselves at the Inn when the sun started to go down. And it wasn't just Altaria and Bryce who seemed to have made it to the same exact Inn, the woman she had ran into eariler today was there with some man; possibly a boyfriend? That was up in the air but once again they were there- along with another man she had seen trailing the woman during the afternoon.

The cling of coin sounded as a hand came from behind Artemis and his Bird, placing a large amount of coin in the cashiers hand, instantaneously wiping the smirk off of the cashiers snobbish face. Trying hard not to act as surprised as he felt, Artemis looked at the women then back at the cashier. "Ummm... Yeah, so about that room key..." The cashier scowled and turn away with the money in hand. As he was getting things in order, Artemis turned slowly and looked his Financial Savior in the eyes. "Soooo... Well, um, thanks I guess." Before anything else could be said, an slightly angry voice was heard from Arty's shoulder. "Artemis! I guess? That's no way to thank the person who just paid good money for our room! Anyway, Thank you madam. Might I have the name of the kind soul who has nicely decided to help us in our time of need?"

"So you're a half elf...." Daena replied, mostly for her benefit. "Well, thank you Mr. Half Elf," Daena said, bowing to Eli. She knew that Irenia could probably learn things like that if she put her mind to it, but was always more interested in direct wind manipulation. Maybe it's not too late...

"Now we just need to wait for Josh to come back so we can collaborate and finally get to town before night falls.." Daena said, looking up into the sky. She spotted Ave, who suddenly started flying off in the direction of the lake. Irenia noticed Daena's surprise and looked upward too, catching the same event.

"What? Where is he going?" Irenia asked impatiently. "Are we going after him?"

Daena did not reply immediately, as she was weighing her options. "We're going to wait here. He might have spotted something and went to check it out. Besides, you can't float *all* of us and still catch up, can you?"

Irenia nodded sheepishly and landed on Daena's shoulder, as the two watched Ave continue off into the distance.

"That won't be a problem ma'am," Eli said lifting Sammie onto his shoudlers as Harriet did the same for Susie, "We can keep up and move pretty quickly as well . . ."

"After all we're good at running," Sammie included as if it was something to be proud of. Well . . . at least in their situation it might've actually been something to be proud of.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well," the woman said fixing the edge of her hood so only her mouth was visable, "How about this?"
She took Artemis' hand and secretly palmed him a couple more coins with a grin before backing away. She was obviously not wanting to tell her name and wanted to possibly pay him to forget he ever asked the question. Before the silence grew too much the lcerk turned around and sliude the key across the counter top with a bit of arrogance, "There is you room key . . . sir . . ."
Daena chuckled in response to Sammie's comment. "Alright then, let's hurry before we lose track of him." She then turned back around to face the direction Ave was heading off to. "Irenia?"
"Alright!" Irenia replied. And with a simple movement of Irenia's arm, Daena was off chasing after Ave, with her companions in tow. True to their word, Eli and Harriet were able to move pretty quickly. She stayed to the ground this time, as those two supposedly had no flying abilities. Even with the increased speed, it seemed that Josh and his roc were getting further and further away.
"Josh... where *are* you going?" Daena said to herself, curious why he was running off like if he was just scouting the area.
"A map system huh? I've only ever heard of them but never really thought too much of them. I didn't know they were all that special. Though that does make finding Rift a lot easier." Evelyn said. She stopped looking at the hologram from Crystal's Tamers unit for a moment as staring down constantly was a bit uncomfortable. She was still unsure how Rift had gotten that message to them.
"Even if he had his Tamers system it's not in good shape. How could he have contacted us? I guess we'll have to go find him and then we'll find out. She thought. She turned to face the door to the inn briefly, which caught Flamme's attention from the hologram, and then turned back in to the group.
"We know where he is now, we should go get him. From his message he seemed a little upset to say the least. Then again, I suppose I'd have been a little grumpy if I'd been conscious the whole two hours you were all looking for me. So do we want to send everyone or should we just send someone off with Crystal since she has the map?" Evelyn said.
Jack walked back to the room Sir Irwin was providing for him. He greeted his comrades and sat down. "Delano won't be resting with us tonight" he said with a smile "He wishes to serenade the night sky with his beauteous musical talent" He sang poetically before lying down on the floor and closing his eyes. "Ahh time for relaxation..i havent gotten ANY down time ever since i came to this realm..." He said kicking off his shoes and removing his gloves and hat
Zane and Rio had managed to set up a small camp in the woods. Rio had gathered the wood for the fire and some nearby berries. He had even managed to catch some field mice for them to cook and eat. Zane had spent the day building a crude shelter. He thought he had noticed something flying around above them but again he wrote it off. Once Rio had set up the fire pit Zane used a little Nature Magic to light the fire and then helped Rio cook the mice. They probably tasted disgusting but Zane and Rio didn't notice since they were so hungry. They didn't talk much during this time, aside from agreeing that Rio would take first watch, they worked and ate in silence as they usually did.
Rio woke Zane around what they thought was 2:00 in the morning so that Zane could take watch. During his watch he worked on his Tamers system trying to make it work. All his attempts were futile though and he couldn't find anyway to recover his lost data. He had also noticed that all data on the enemies he had faced was gone as well as if the Tamers didn't exist in this place. He sighed and began to watch for someone, anyone to pass them. He then looked up and noticed that something was still flying above them.
"We are being watched..." Zane spoke to himself as he turned back to the ground in front of him and went on watching.
"Hey there!" Josh called out while he pointed towards the ground towards Zane and Rio. With a nod the Roc floded in his wings and began to decend. Landing quickly Josh hopped off and looked around at the campsite with a watchful eye, not sure if they were enemies yet, "Excuse me for asking but do you know where we are?"
Josh nor Ave noticed that Zane was sporting a Tamers System as well, but even if theyt did he would probably still've asked if he knew where they were. As he waited for an answer he wondered in the back of his mind if Deana and the twins had really stayed to wait.
Little did Josh know is that they were going to be heading his way soon. Because with a nod Harriet and Eli began to head in the direction which he had headed. Looking behind while Harriet ran, using her prehensile hair as extra legs, Susie shouted back at Deana, "I think he landed!"
Sir Irwin had already removed most of his outter garments, which was suprisingly a lot for a man like him, and had rested his bags on a chair near the bed. Sitting on it he stretched his tired arms and nodded while he yawned, "I would have figured he would not accompany us."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I think we should all head out," Crystal said fixing her Tamers System so it wouldn't fall off. MJatsue smiled and raised her hand to the air, obviously wanting and ready to go find Rift, and wlked outside. Laughing everyone headed out as well and saw Matsue frozen in place outside the door, her hand still in the air. Yaming shook her head and Crystal couldn't help chuckle as Matsue began to slowly back away until she bumped into Evelyn, "W-Water . . . I forgot . . . no . . . land . . ."

Jack turned his head over to Seline. "Incidentally do they have a bath in this hotel?" He asked giving himself a good once-over. "It looks as though i've spent the last few days playing aroung in dirt and blood...and hard as it may be to belive i like to maintain a look of refinery....and of course my suit needs to be washed." He said looking at the bloodstains on his suit. "And don't get me STARTED on the smell" he said sniffing himself and crinkling his nose in disgust.

Staring at the light of the moon Delano started to change the tune and tone of the song to fit the nightsky. After 4 minutes of playing Delano took a deep breath. "It feels like the usual doesn't it Kikiania. Sleeping on the moonlight with billions of stars in the sky" Delano said as Kikiania yawned before laying her heads down to sleep. "I guess you are tried i'll let you rest" Delano said than started playing his flute again.

"Ah!"

Daena had fallen towards the back; the two.... monsters (she still had problems seeing them as monsters, even as Harriet was 'walking' on her hair) took the lead. Daena was worried for some reason, and was preparing for the worst. Her preparations were cut short, however, as Harriet announced that Josh landed.

Daena reached for her crossbow and loaded it with bolts. She was carrying a few on her, but returned the rest to her Tamers housing unit. While she didn't really trust it, it was getting really hard to carry so many bolts around. It was still awkward carrying the bolts on her harness (they keep brushing up against her while float-running), bit it was much more manageable.

"Everyone, I don't know what Josh found out here, but be careful." Daena said as they moved ever closer to their destination. "Especially you two, Sammie and Susie. Don't put yourselves in danger." As for herself, she knew there might be some sort of confrontation, and already began hatching plans to deal with them.

Zane had been going over the Tamers system just before noticing movement. He noticed a stranger getting off of what appeared to be a large bird. As the stranger approached Zane went a woke Rio. He pressed a finger to his lips to tell him to remain silent and let Zane do all the talking. He then turned and sized up the newcomer. After that he answered his question, although hesitantly.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know where here is. The last thing I remember is being at a tournament before all went dark. Then next thing I knew I woke up next to the lake." Zane explained.

Zane noticed that the person seemed to treat the large bird as a friend of sorts. He thought over his next question for several long seconds before finally asking.

"Excuse me but you wouldn't happen to be a Tamer would you?" Zane asked. Rio looked at him with a slightly shocked expression, but he quickly hid it.

Josh nodded his head quietly when Zane motioned for him to be quiet and he did the best he could. AS Zane answered his first question Josh and Ave slowly approached the campsite and crouched down to get a better look at Zane and Rio.

"Y-Yes I . . . am," Josh said a bit stunned when the person he had found stated the exact same thing which he had heard from Deana; and had happened to himself. After the momentary awkward silence Josh's mouth almost dropped and he tried to freak out, "You're a Tamer too!?"

He had stated the obvious, as Zane had stated he was in the tournament, but he still felt the need to get it as a simple yes' from him. Ave shook his feathers before looking up and squaking at the approaching figures.

In gthe distance Josh, Ace, Zane and Rio could see three figures approaching them; neither aware that they were Deana and the twins coming to check on Josh.

"You don't have to worry about us!" Sammie said with a wide grin, brandishing a rather oversized dager for a boy his size, and Susie had what appeared to be a kitchen knife. It was obvious that both of them were ready to fight if need be, however it unnerved Deana that both children were so willing to head into suich a potentially dangerious situation; did this world really change people that much? Could it harden two innocent chidlren so that they would have no regrets of stealing and fighting . . . even possibly killing?

"Miss Deana is something wrong?" Eli asked as he bounded high over a boulder jutting out of the ground as they quickly approached Josh and his new friend.

Seline looked at Jack with a bit of disgust, though she was happy to vknow he had noticed the aweful smell fumming off of his own body, and looked over to Sir Irwin; who had just returned from the bath. Giving a sigh she nodded her head and looked up at Jack, "Yes they have an outside bathhouse which you can use to take a bath. Now I'm going to my room to . . . get some sleep I guess . . ."

Opening the door Seline was halfway out when DSir Irwin got a grin on his face and coughed to catch her attention, "Seline my dear . . . it might be best for you to show Jack where the bathhouse is."

"Wha-"

"I even had a troublesome time finding the blasted thing. So go on ahead, accompany him to the bathhouse and then you can go back to your room, he finished with a wide grin, though he had to be quick to dodge Seline's flying kick. She had known that Sir Irwin had a weak spot for . . . "teasing" her a bit . . . and that he had only done this in the hopes of getting her rilled; which it did indeed work.

Daena was dumbfounded to the point that she lost her current train of thought. In fact, it seemed like she stopped thinking altogether. She could only look at the two children with the same bewildered look on her face, barely even blinking. Eli seemed notice this, and asked if she was alright.

"Look, are those two always like.... *that*?" Daena asked, as shocked as she was when Sammie drew his large knife.

"Like what?" Irenia chipped in from Daena's shoulder.

"Like..." Daena was about to continue, but she finally refocused on what was ahead of her. "Ah, screw it. Can't worry about that now." Daena motioned with her right hand, which was Irenia's signal to speed up, and she was now running alongside the others. "If we do fight... just... don't die out there," Daena said, addressing the twins. "That'd be... ummm... *bad*." Even though she almost fumbled the sentence, she managed to get her message across. That will have to do for now, since she was sure that the mystery person could see her group by now.

After Delano finished playing his flute for the last time he put it away than jumped out of the tree leaving Kikiania to her sleep. Armed with his bone lance and his shield on his back Delano went for a late night stroll around the town. "I bet only drunks are out this late of night. Though there maybe some sober people wandering aimlessly like myself" he said to himself

Artemis eyed the woman carefully before accepting the change and taking the room key from the woman. "Alrighty then. Lets go Talon, our room awaits." Talon on the other hand was dumbstruck, craning his neck down to Arty's ear and whispering while both walked away. "But Artemis, aren't you going to-"

"No."

Artemis interupted. "Weren't you paying attention? She payed us to keep quiet and ignore her. She obviously doesn't want us to know who she is." Atry counted the coins then pocketed them before continuing. "Don't worry about it though Talon: The fact that she's paying us to stay here makes me think she wants something from us. I guarentee we'll see her again, then I'll let you ask all the questions you want. And who knows," A devious grin spread on the boys mouth as he thought of how willing the women was to part with her wealth. "Perhaps this could even become a regular thing."

Eventually, the two reached their required room, immediately unlocking and opening the door as they proceeded inside.

Jack looked at the two of them quizically. He couldnt quite get why Seline had just attempted to drop-kick her leader but he got up regardless. "So...where exactly IS this bathhouse?" Jack asked Seline in an impassive voice. He didnt get why Seline would be hesitant at all. Jack didnt exactly have a normal upbringing at all. So the idea of Seline taking him to a bathouse only seemed odd because it was a bath...which he hadnt had in a while

The group had decided to all go look for Rift together but right as they stepped outside Matsue realized where she was again and suddenly clammed up. She began slowly backing up until she bumped in to Evelyn. Evelyn said a quick sorry and took a step or two back.

"You want to see Rift right? We'll all be with you Matsue, there's no need to be scared. But if you'd rather not leave, and I can understand why you might not want to, Flamme and I can stay here with you." Evelyn said quickly. Flamme didn't raise any objections to the idea though it had already been clear that he'd be fine either way as long as he was around Evelyn. Evelyn hadn't wanted to make it seem she was pressing Matsue into going even though she really would have liked to see her go out to find Rift. In Matsue's case, her fear came with quite energetic and potentially violent reactions so pressing it wasn't going to do anything but make things worse. And so Evelyn left the choice to Matsue. If she was willing to put her fear aside for awhile they could all go but if it was too much for her she still had the option to stay where she was.

Matsue looked down at the splashing water and could feel her stomach becoming naucious, twisting and turning as her fears began to overhelm her. Turning around she held onto Evelyn's arm as she took in deep breaths and let them out shakingly. Crystal and Yaming gave each other a worried look and then Yaming tried to convince Matsue to stay behind, "You don't have to go Matsue. We can find Rift by ourselves so you wont have to get yourself so worked up. And we'll even bring him right back to you."

"Yeah Matsue no need for you to begin to panic in the middle of the lake," Crystal added in as Matsue let go off Evelyn's arm and looked at the two. No one could tell if she was ready to take them up on the offer or if she was still thinking about going despite her immense fears. Finally with a shaky breath her eyes hardened into a scowl and she took a step forward, stomping her foot as she did, "I said I'm g-going!"

Seline looked over at Jack and couldn't hide her red face. She had an idea what Sir Irwin was up too and didn't like the idea one bit. But what could she do? Her duty and oblogation was to listen to him and do what he said as his pupil. Running her hand through her long hair she sighed and walked out the door, "Come on Jack I'll show you where it is . . ."

While they walked through the hallways Seline could see Delano heading out into the town by himself, well with Kiki at least, and didn't care to stop him. Heading down the stairs she lead Jack outside until they could the steam of an outdoor bath. Looking back and forth, even over her shoulder, Seline steped aside and motioned for it, "Thats the bath."

Artemis and Talon's room semed to be as if something out of a fantasy game. It was plain ande simple with no frills at all. Walking into the room it seemed as if the entirety of their travels finally caught up with them, their legs grew heavy and they could not keep their eyes open, and finally they made it to the straw bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eli and Harriet understood what Deana had been worried about, in fact it was something they both had been troubled about it constantly. But both of them knew the twins better than Deana could ever. Sammie may have acted tought, but deep down Eli knew he was scarred and worried about fighting someone bigger. While Sammie was scared about fighting someone Susie herself was worried about Sammie, not wanting to see him hurt and would rather talk things out; though she was willing to use force when need be.
"Don't worry Ms. Deana! I won't even get touched!" Sammie said, proving Eli had been right about him, and the young boy seathed the hunting knife as they reached Josh and Zane.
Jack looked at her like a confused puppy. "Why the hell are you so nervous?" He asked already starting to walk to the bath. "You act like you'd never seen a guy go take a bath before." He commented not realizing that most girls in Seline's line of work. Namley that of a warrior DON'T tend to see guys go take baths. "So are you going to keep standing there? take a bath or get back to the room?" He said with a hint of confusion "Oh and...thank you for showing me where this was." He said straining to remember his manners
Seline turned around wuickly and crossed her arms, not wanting to show that her face was completley red by now, and tilted her head up, "I'm going back to my room . . ."
Without another word she began to head upstairs and never looked back at Jack; though she SHOULD have been looking out for Sir Irwin. Without even being noticed he had snuck outof the room and followed them to the bathhouse, fully intent on getting Seline as embarrassed as he could. Watching as she walked away from the bath house he frowned and got a sly grin on his face, "IU think I'll wait until Jack is about to jump in to throw her in . . ." he thought before leaping out of the tree and onto the side of the building, making a low thud before scurrying out of sight just in case he had been heard.
Walking on his own two feet while Kikiania was behind sleeping in a tree. Delano explored the town looking into houses with the lights and seeing all the people whom are activate at night. "Interesting town this is. People around day or night" Delano said to himself than continued his stroll throughout the town.
