DeathSDelano
"Hmm so an arcane mage or a mage that uses magical powers to enchances is physical abilities" Delano said to himself with an eyebrow lifted "This shouldn't take to long than" Delano said smiling a bit "Arcane mages are some of the strongests because unlike normal mages they train there bodies and minds" Delano continued on as Kikiania roared making everyone around cover there hears while Delano just sat there watching
encapturer
"Yeah!" Irenia replied with a large smile on her face. Immediately afterward she made a small spiral motion with her pointer finger to help Daena keep up her speed. "I hadn't noticed before, but it does seem like we're going faster than usual," Daena mused to herself. "After how float saved us from that sticky situation in that battle, maybe we should have you practice it a bit more... Quick, short speed bursts can be as useful as long jumps... hmmm... I wonder..." Irenia was happy to get the positive reinforcement she was looking for, and was already planning to practice it no matter what Daena decided. After all, it didn't matter that Daena had started muttering Float strategies to herself in the middle of the sky, since, unlike the low floats where Daena and Irenia had to work together, high floats were entirely dependent on the small fairy. And since her partner was off in her own world at the moment, Irenia decided to talk to Josh; after all, she has to know if she can trust him with Daena if she couldn't help her. "Do you really think that a link is impossible?" Irenia found herself asking Josh. She had wanted to... interrogate him, but this works too, she figured. "I'd really like to visit where Daena lives. Wouldn't it be great if you could bring your bird partner to your world?"
Jake the Sage
"Well if you were an AI in the real world then you could've just appeared at any moment. After all Tamers was meant to link up to any electronic device," Josh explained as Ave resisted the temptation to do a barrel roll. Josh had mused to himself a bit how he had Ave nearly around with him everywhere he went, either in the Tamers Houseing unit or in the many spots the Housing Unit could have been linked too. But he had worked his awy around actually answering the question he was given, "But yes if whoever created Tamers knew about this place . . . I think eventually there could be a link between the worlds. BUt it is still troubeling me that this is an entire world when all the other times it was nothing more than an some kind of illusion." encapturer
Irenia nodded as Josh answered her questions, then leaped up a bit and pulled on Daena's ear. This caused a reaction; Daena's head jerked off to the side, and she seemed to lose her balance. Since Irenia was controlling Daena's height and speed, there was no real danger, but Daena was not amused. "Hey! What was that for?" Daena asked. She was freaked out, and almost thought she was going to fall. "You've been holding out on me! I never knew you could use the housing unit to bring me to your world?" "Was there a need to? My work is boring, and I never got to do anything interesting. And I didn't want to waste power, so I turned off the unit while not in the game." "Turned it off? Is that even possible?" Irenia was completely baffled. How can you 'turn off' something so vital. The fairy knew about electronic equipment from Daena, but could not picture such a vital instrument as one. "Of course, though I only thinks it works in the real word... my world?.... Earth?" Daena said, fumbling on what she should call the plane of existence she and Josh hail from. "...could that be why you had that strange sleep when I log out?" "What does sleep have to do with any of this?" Daena sighed. "Nothing, don't worry about it. Anyway, I think a direct link is possible, so you won't need to use the Housing Unit to visit Earth. If you pull my ear while we're in the air again, I'll have to reconsider, however." Her words seemed to satisfy Irenia, who moved her finger again to keep Float going. "Of course, I have to wonder, I think I heard you say something like an 'illusion', Josh." Daena said, watching the landscape pass by up ahead. "Were you talking about the game? Or this world?"
The D.M.
Jack was down in one shot...Bane got the "DO NOT MESS WITH THIS GUY" message very clearly. Jack raised his hand feebly. "C-c-combat...m-magic..." His hand fell to the ground. "What the HELL kind of power do you HAVE?" Jack asked nursing his injured ribs. And he wobbled to his feet. "Bane...help me up" His hellhound helped him to his feet and then Jack asked a question that sent the crowd reeling back. "You...Sage...I see...something..." Andx
Evelyn couldn't say she was completely comfortable with the idea of being with former bounty hunters but they had been quite kind to them so far, all things considered. Still the fact that they had been bounty hunters raised one final question in Evelyn's mind."It's not that I think badly of you for it, but that does make me wonder about something. You've been bounty hunters until this time and then purely out of the goodness of your hearts, you rescued us from a group of monsters that would have left you alone had you not directly engaged them yourselves? Somehow or other that doesn't seem to make sense to me. Or maybe I just have some misconceptions about bounty hunters. But even when you first rescued I had wondered what made you go out of your way to help us." Evelyn said.
Jake the Sage
"Well being just bounty hunters means we're assigned to capture people," Matsue explained trying her best to make the job sound more reasonable and dispell a lot of the nonesense that many people thought about it. Like one o the major things was bounty hunters didn't care who they were sent after and didn't mind hurting people. They most definately weren't like that. More than once had their group given up a good payment when they learned the person they were hunting hadn't done anything majorly wrong. They had also never went out of their way to hurt someone. Eithal had been listening and nodded his head, "Big scarry beasts have left us alone if we had left alone too." "Yeah I was thinking the same thing. But then you guys came to save us," Crystal said. She had been wondering the same thing as well. There was no reason to help someone, even when it was in that kind of situation. She had been in this world for about a week and people weren't too crazy of risking their lives for someone. Rift finally answered by pointing to Evelyn's Housing Unit, "I saved all of you because I recognized that." "You mean Evelyn's Tamers Unit?" Crystal said looking over to Evelyn. It was true that she had hardly seen a time when she didn't have it on when she was awake, but did he really save her just because of that? Had they been on some kind of assignment and were after just the housing unit and saved them to get to it? "Oh! So you saved them because that thing on Evelyn's wrist told you she was one of your kind," Yaming said having guessed the answer, as best someone from this world could. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jack had asked to be taught by Sir Irwin, which stunned Delano and Seline, but the sage had yet to give an answer. Was he really willing to let someone like him come along? Thinking about it for a minute he turned to Seline, who frowned at Jack before turning around. If he had let him join then it might cause a bit of problems with the other two. But life was full of problems so he might as well, "If you are able to control yourself then, yes." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I was talking about this world. I mean . . . what if it is nothing more than an illusion or," Josh stopped and looked down at the scenery, "What if we've died and this is the real world? Like our lives back home were the fakes?" Josh had been troubled about all of this since he had read a lot about different worlds in books. He didn't like the idea of his life back home being a lie, that this was the real world and he was some lost child wandering about in it. He wanted, he needed, to know that everything back home was real as much as everything in here was. But he didn't have any answers, just more questions. DeathSDelano
"Hmm.. well now that i know that he uses arcane magic that gives me enough information of what he can do or to an extent" Delano said with a serious look on his face "He is not one to take lightly when you compare to the normal mage no arcane mages are on a different level and require precautions to defeat. Especially since arcane magic is not that easy to master for normal mages" Delano continued on as Kikiania heads moved back and forth "So Seline are you training to be an arcane mage or just a normal mage" Delano asked Seline
encapturer
"Don't worry about it too much," Daena said, waving her hand dismissively. "We're here now, so we should focus on what we can do at this moment." Daena paused, then continued speaking, not sure if Josh's fears would be put to rest that easily. "Well, for what it's worth, *I* don't think Earth is a fake." Daena then began counting off each of her reasons on her hand. "First off, there would need to be someone who could imagine Earth to create it how it is, and from what I've seen, no one here can imagine what kind of world we live in. Then there's the fact that while everything seems real here, we came here as our ingame avatars. For example, my eyes aren't golden. Naturally, anyway, since I wore contacts when I made my character. Third, I've seen bits of the game code, and it's all normal, save for some weird connection protocols that probably link it to this world. Just like any other immersion game. Of course, you may think that if this Earth was not real, the 'creator' in this world could have made it much earlier in... uhh... Earth's timeline. But our existence here proves that idea false, as we exist and we were *born* on Earth. Unless, of course, you assume that Earth was a magically created, with *magic*. Then you'd have to deal with how people, without magic at all, managed to cross over. And speaking of magic, any spells and skills we have here are based off the game version of us as well, and... and..." Daena stopped herself from continuing, as Irenia shook her head. At least she was getting better at catching herself when this happens. "Sorry about the rambling, but... yeah. I'm sure Earth is real," she said, with a softer tone than her usual analytic one. She didn't mention that she wasn't sure that the inverse was false, that the world they were in was not someone's imagination from Earth. She was pretty sure that this was a case of two separate worlds, but she won't be able to find out unless she gets the truth on how Tamers was made in the first place. Andx
"All because of this?" Evelyn questioned as she held her wrist up and looked at it curiously. Something seemed wrong about that. Evelyn had to wonder if Rift wanted the system itself or had as Yaming said, saved them because he recognized another person from his world."So no ulterior motive on your part then right? Things are like Yaming put them? I mean, I can imagine my you might want it if that was really your aim in helping us. Though I really don't want to think that's the case." Evelyn said. She really disliked the feelings of distrust she had and was obviously conveying but she had to clear the issues in her mind. She didn't want to have been rescued from one bad scenario only to end up in another one."Is it really all that special?" Flamme questioned her. He'd often seen the device but never thought much of it."If this was just the game world, no. But if Rift doesn't know that the logging out function doesn't work in any way, and he's lost his own..." Evelyn started to reply."You're afraid he's after it for himself." Flamme finished for her."Unfortunately, yes." Evelyn answered.
Jake the Sage
"Let me be honest, if it looked like there was no way to get everyone out without risking my own people . . . I would have left you guys," Rift said in a serious tone and the group grew quiet. Yaming was a bit stunned that Rift had been so blunt about leaving the group, but she sort of understanded. I mean . . . she probably wouldn't want to risk loosing either Crystal or Evelyn over someone she didn't know if she could help it. "But now that we're safe . . . are you after Evelyn's Tamer Unit?" Crystal said in a menacing tone, not knowing if they were in a bad situation or not. Rift looked over his head and get a confident grin on his face. Motioning to a bundle beside her he spoke, "If you think I'm after her Tamer Unit to get back home or something like that then look at whats in there . . ." Flipping the flap over Crystal could see a Tamers Unit that seemed to have been worn down a lot as if it was already three years old, its screen scracked and mud caked all around it. Looking back Crystal asked the obvious, "Is this yours?" "Yes" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yes make sure you do," Sir Irwin said with a smile on his face before holding up his hands, "Or your new master is going to have to make the lessons hands on. So Delano it seems as if you've got a training partner." "So we have two more mouths to feed!?" Seline said with a hint of disappointment. For a while now it had just been him and her travelling Nomen together and no one else to drag them down. But in the past few days they had somehow managed to get two tag alongs that seemed to be interested in nothing more than themselves. When Delano asked what she was training to be she raised her eyebrow and answered quickly, "Neither." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Yeah sorry about that Deana," Josh said looking back up at her, "I just worry needlessly sometime." As they continued to fly neither said much as the scenary continued to speed by below them. The could see planes and sparce houses go by but so far nothign that resembled an actual town and what not. If Josh had to guess they were still a while off before getting to Amadahy. "Hey Deana! Do you hear that?" Josh suddenly asked out of the blue as he held his hand over his ears, trying to listen for what he had heard a second ago. Then it grew loud enough that Deana and Irenia could hear it too- the sound of what could be thunder.
encapturer
"Is that... a thunderstorm?" Daena asked. She glanced around and spotted some clouds in the distance as expected, but... She couldn't be sure. Irenia was worried as well; Daena began to slow down as Irenia began to stockpile her magic. "I'm... not quite sure what to do in thunderstorms, since I usually stay inside until they pass. I'm not sure if normal procedures would do us any good, seeing how we're in the air." Daena kept her voice level, but her face betrayed her nervousness. "What do you think we should do if the storm comes our way?"

Andx
Rift showed his own Tamer's unit and that relieved Evelyn a lot. She didn't have any reason to suspect anything from the group she was currently with. She liked being able to trust them as just good people who had decided to help them as opposed to bounty hunters looking for some profit in everything they did."Well, that's it for my concerns. So now I guess I just have to thank you all for going out of your ways to help us back there." Evelyn said smiling. Only then did Evelyn really see the condition his Tamer's unit was in. It looked quite old, or at least rather used and weathered."How did it get to be in that condition?" Evelyn questioned quietly almost as if the question was a reflex to seeing the machine's condition.
Jake the Sage
"Your Tamers Unit gets broken and worn out like that trying to escape this place," Rift said and glanced back at Evelyn, "Like I said I've been in this world much longer than either of you. At first I just wandered and eventually tried to log out by going everywhere I thought the Housing Unit would work." "All that brought man child was achy feet and a broken thingiemabob!" Eithal said cutting the story to an end. But the goblin was right, if Rift had been able to finish the story on his own. Rift had gone everywhere in Nomen he could think of, from towns to the tops of the mountains. But once he discovered there wasn't a place the Tamers Unit would work he came to the realization that he'd better get used to this place and just go on living. "So you became a bounty hunter once you couldn't get home?" Yaming asked wanting to know why he had chosen such a profession. Rift began to chukle and answered back with a laugh, "Well I damn sure ain't going to be working on no farm." [ooc: inside joke here . . . DragonJLB actually grew up on a farm XD] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir Irwin got a smile on his face and motioned to Delano, "No need to hunt for now, plenty of time for that later, but for now we'll eat at an inn I've got reservations for." "And we'd be happy to have some tea time," Seline said to Jack though she never let her guard down. Once the pleasantries had been finished Sir Irwin lead them through the streets to locate and enter the inn which he had spoken of; though Delano was probably not enjoying the idea of sleeping in somewhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "If it comes our way we have two options," Josh said looking at the storm. It was coming closer and it looked like a violent one from the way lightning jutted out from the clouds every few seconds. He could even feel the cold wind from here, "We either climb above the storm clouds or head to the ground and wait it out. I think the second option would be the best . . ." Deana might have thought heading above the clouds was the better option, but Josh had guessed that the high altitude would cause them problems; they were already pretty high up as it was. With the storm clouds heading ever closer towards them Josh and Ave looked frantically for a spot to wait out the storm.

encapturer
"Well... let's head towards the ground and find someplace, then..." Daena said, her voice trailing off. She started to feel it, too. And to top it all off, the landscape was entirely plains. "Irenia, let's hurry!" With that instruction, Irenia sent Daena propelling forward quickly, while lowering her altitude slowly. Fortunately, after about a half-minute of flight, Daena could clearly identify a house in the distance. "Josh!" Daena called back after turning around. Irenia subsequently slowed down the pair. "There's a house there, I'm going to check it out!" At this point, Daena was floating towards the ground, and began taking large float-steps once she reached it to quickly reach her destination without wearing out Irenia. It was a house alright, not unlike those seen back in Roxas. No one was outside, as expected. Once near, Daena took off running normally as Irenia prepared her magic, her usual response when faced with unknown situations. And then... the door. *Knock knock KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* Daena began wailing furiously on the door, desperate to get some help as the winds picked up and the storm inched ever closer. "IS ANYONE IN THERE? ANYONE?!"
Jake the Sage
Sir Irwin glanced over to Delano as he said that he wanted to hunt for something and wasn't the kind of person to be stuck inside. He thought about it for a moment and decided that they should at least drain a bit of their energies before turning in for the night. Nodding his head he answered, "Alright Delano. You, Jack and I will go out hunting. Meanwhile Seline, go to the inn and get our rooms ready, ok?" "Alright," she answered before turning to head off in the direction of he inn, leaving her master with the two new pupils; who might or might not end up killing him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After knocking for a while Josh leaned in and pressed his ear to the door, trying to listen for any signs of life inside, and heard the sound of someone scurrying around. He stepped back and began to knock on the door as well, "Please we mean no harm! We just need a place to stay until the rain pa-" Josh stopped when he felt the first droplets of water hitting his head and looked up, the sky turning dark as the rain slowly began to poor. Inside he could hear whomever lived here seemingly talking to another person, but he couldn't make out the words. Finally the door opened a crack, no more, and no one was standing at the door. However, since she wasn't exactly looking at where she was going in her haste, she ended up tripping over the doorframe, and while she was able to stop herself from falling flat on her face (partly thanks to Irenia's magic), she was still on the floor on her side, and the door swung completely open. At least she was inside.

Andx
Evelyn was mostly just listening to what all was being said now. Her main issues had been settled with the idea that Rift's group wasn't trying to use them or make some profit off of them somehow so anything else was just interesting information to take in. Though it was interesting to see that Rift had sort of just given up it seemed on trying to get back to their world. But after having the Tamer's Unit stop functioning it must been the only thing he could have done. From the time she'd realized that she was in another world and not just the game Evelyn had set in her mind that she'd go about getting back. But Rift had been in the world for months and hadn't found anything yet. It made Evelyn think about how she might handle that situation."Am I ready to accept that? If nothing comes up and there's no way to go about getting home, am I ready to just live the rest of my life here?" Evelyn wondered to herself."You still want to get back don't you?" Flamme questioned her in response."Of course I do." Evelyn responded. Flamme seemed satisfied with her answer."Good, then that's what we'll do. If we find a way back we'll just have to make sure to tell Rift too. Don't give up on what you want because someone else seems to have given up on the same thing." Flamme said. Evelyn didn't have anything else to say, so she just sat and waited for the day's journey to be over. She didn't know if anyone else had something to say but for the moment it seemed the conversation was about over. That wasn't to say a new one wouldn't start however. The D.M.
Jack ran following Delano with Bane running next to him. "Hehehe That's Jack for ya...between him and a bloodhound Jack's got the better nose for blood." Bane said laughing to himself as he ran down the same path Jack went.
