Bane Jumped onto one of Kikiana's heads as it attacked him and sunk his fangs into its neck and bit down harder trying not to howl in agony when Delano's lance hit him, Jack ran up to Kikiana and Delano and lept into the air swinging his axe down at Delano's neck. With a look of manic glee and laughing like a wild man he shouted out "NOW YOU DIE!!" Bane on the other hand wasnt having such a great time with a lance and two sets of teeth sinking into him

Evelyn woke up as someone had been shaking her. She saw it was Yaming and was informed it was already past noon. Evelyn was a little mad with herself as she hardly ever slept in like that.

"Darn. You spend a whole night running for your life and then you can't sleep regularly for days." she sort of muttered as she woke up. Evelyn got to her feet and noticed Yaming seemed to have healed quite quickly. Or at the least faster than she should have been able to.

"I'll have to remember to ask about that." Evelyn thought as she rubbed at her eyes a little. Not long after she got to her feet Flamme was right by her. He seemed wet like he'd been in the lake either to bathe or to eat, Evelyn wasn't particularly concerned over which it was though. Crystal then said sleeping past noon was common in their world.

"Speak for yourself. My parents always make sure I'm up at seven. I can't recall the last time I slept in this late." Evelyn said. Then she noticed that Crystal and Eithal seemed to be carrying something. Another thing she'd have to remember to ask about when she was really awake. After washing her face quickly in the lake Evelyn was completely awake and decided to at least asking Yaming about how she had recovered so quickly.

"So Yaming, you look a lot better than you did yesterday. How did you manage to heal that fast?" she questioned.

Yaming looked up from her spot, having finished dumping sand on the dead fire, and looked at her arms. Indeed there was hardly even a scar where the Yowie's clawhad ripped into her flesh, though there were still marks to be seen. Looking at them she let out what seemed to be a ctent sigh as she ran her hands over them, almost as if she was enjoying what the creature's had done to her. She then looked up with a big smile, "It was something Andrew taught me . . ."

"Apparently Andrew was the best student when it came to healing," Crystal said having helped Matsue and Eithal lift the bundles onto Iceis' back. She mouthed that it was 'okay' to talk about him as Yaming didn't seem to mind; though the idea of badmouthing him was something that'd obviously cause problems. Yaming held her hand ontop of the worst scar on her arm, one that ran from her wrist, completely around the length of her arm, and stopped at her shoulder, and her eyes grew distant, "He always said 'its always good to kow combat magic, but it wont be worth anything if you end up dying' . . ."

"Hey theres a fight going on!" someone yelled as Sir Irwin came out of the market stall, his sack filled to the brim with food for the next length of the trip. Looking around he could see that a good amount of the people were heading to see the fight, not to mention the guards were heading there as well, and something in the back of his mind told him . . . it had to be his new 'friend'. Heaving the sack higher up on his shoulder Sir Irwin chanted a small incantation before leaping onto top of the rooftops, sprinting towards the fighters.

"NOW YOU DIE!" Jack said as he swung his axe blade down at Delano's neck, his enemy's lance having pierced Bane's shoulder. His axe was close enough to Delano's neck that it was about to break th skin when he was shot back. The group gave a boo before being told to shut up by a very . . . very angry girl. Seline had a wand out, something that looked like it belonged in a Sailor Moon Cosplay, and was holding it at Jack, "Don't move another step . . ."

"Thank you, for everything." Daena said, bowing to Adrian and Jericho. Holding the ticket tightly, she turned around and began to leave, but stopping after a few steps. "I'm not sure if it's possible yet," she said, turning back around to Adrian and Jericho, "but there may be a way to build a stable link between our home and this world. You've done so much for us, so how would you and your family like to see a whole new world?" Irenia looked at Daena like she was mad, after all, she never got any offers like *that* from Daena. And she would have loved to see where Daena lives and works. "If it works, of course," Daena then hastily added, to assure the two that it won't be a death trap. Hopefully, anyway.

Yaming and Crystal explained the healing magic was something Andrew had been quite skilled in. Crystal said it was okay to talk about him. And though Yaming didn't clam up on the topic, it did affect Evelyn somewhat. She'd seen him killed right in front of her, and he'd been trying to save her. Without Andrew she'd be the dead one. Of course if she hadn't shown up, she also felt that Andrew would have never had to have gotten into the situation that killed him.

"I never even thanked Andrew's parents for the kindness they showed us afterwards. We left so quickly." Evelyn thought. She then knew she couldn't dwell on that without depressing herself and tried to focus back on the conversation.

"You two must have taught each other a lot of what you learned on your own. Well it's good to see you're in better shape. I was getting worried about how we dragged you off away from your town in the shape you were in." Evelyn said.

Jack looked up at Delano quizically. "I attempted to kill you? Why help me?" Jack asked as if mercy and compassion were forign concepts to him. He took Delano's hand and stood up. Instead of laughing at his sentiment and stabbing him in the back Jack decided to end the fight with Delano. His attention then turned to the woman who had stopped his battle. "You stupid useless woman...how DARE you stop a battle between warriors!!" Jack said as his eyes narrowed into dangerous slits

"You know the chances of us ever being able to make a stable link is almost impossible," Josh said as they headed down the stairs. As far s he knew they had some how been transported to this world by magic, but had never thought that it'd be possible to make a "bridge" of sorts to go back and forth between the two. Yet the more he thought of it the more Deana's crazy plan sounded like it could be a reality in the future. After all Ave was "part" of this world and yet he was able to materialize, though not become flesh and blood, in the real world.

Once they had finished walking through the long way to the end of town Josh pulled out a map and turned it around and around, unsure of how to read it, "Ok so we go . . . which way is South?"

At that insult everything that had been holding the normally peaceful Seline back snapped. Her eyes grew red with rage as she spun her wand in her hand, "I'll show YOU a warrior!!!"

In the single blink of an eye she was already on top of Jack and had disabled his "pet" with a strong binding spell, which the hellhound had no hope of breaking without his owner being a great mage, and her swings were landing harder than bricks. She was drawing blood on the first punch and, even if Delano tried to stop her, she would most likely knock him down as well before returning to Jack. The crowd as really fired up now as the young girl attempted to smash Jack's skull in with her bare hands; her strength managing to be more than enough to hold him down.

"That is Enough!" a member of the crowd said as they caught Seline's hand, aimed to remove Jack's tongue to prevent him from ever insulting her again. Turning to attack whoever was dumb enough to stop her Seline's eyes grew wide and she looked away in shame as Sir Irwin set her aside and looked down at the person she had been trashing, "I see you decided it would be 'fun' to insult one of my pupils and fight another . . ."

"Yeah well I was an orphan anyways, no parents to go home to so it never mattered if I uped and left one day," Yaming said with a half laugh; though deep down she had always, like any orphan, wished she had parents to love them. But she had long since given up ever being a part of a real family and now thought of anyone who was close to her as such, Andrew being almost like an older brother; he had been a year older while he was alive. As she smiled Rift walked into the group and pointed to Iceis, "We're fully supplied and ready to go whenever you decided to get moving."

Delano sighed than got back onto Kikiania "So much for that fight" Delano said than Kikiania walked off further into the outskirts looking for a spot with no other people "Finallly some peace and quiet around" Delano said laying back and looking up at the clouds. thinking to himself 'why does everyone have to pester me today seriously can a guy not get some alone time around here.' While watching the clouds Delano pionted out his index finger than started to draw in the air with his finger

Yaming explained a little bit about her past. It wasn't much, just basic details that she was an orphan. Having no family must have made losing Andrew all the more painful. Evelyn was about to say something when Rift told them they were ready to get going.

"Well, we should be on our way. Andrew wouldn't want us dwelling on it anyway. I for one have had enough of being depressed yesterday. There's always time to grieve, but I think we should save grieving for when it won't get in the way of what we're trying to do." Evelyn said. She wasn't sure what all she could say to Yaming so she decided to say as little as she could. While she meant to sort of comfort her she also didn't want to say too much or say the wrong thing.

"...I'm really no good at this comforting thing am I?" she sort of muttered and laughed at the same time afterwards.

"I won't forget what Andrew did for me, but I'm not going to let that drag me down. I have to stay positive if I'm ever going to get out of this situation." Evelyn thought.

"Good to hear." Flamme said in response.

"Okay! So where are we off to today?" Evelyn asked showing the energy her friends had come to expect from her once again.

"South is obviously...." Daena began confidently, then realized that she simply had no idea. "Uhh... that way." she added, pointing in a random direction away from the town. The others simply looked at Daena with disbelief.

"Okay, okay! I was just joking," Daena said nervously to break the gazes on her, then proceeded to look at the map with Josh. "Well, it seems the southeastern road is the only road that curves to the right hard first as you walk from the town," Daena said, pointing to the map at the road in question. "The others all curve left first. If we walk a bit we can find out where we are!" Daena said excitedly, proud to find a solution with the few tools they have.

Pulling out a beat up old map Rift laid it out on the ground, pointing to a spot near some blue inking, "We are right now beside Lake Muna in the country of Nomen. Its a very big lake that covers the entirety of Nomen's western boarder. There is Afon, the flaoting town, and Amadahy, the train port, to the South. So it is either one of the other.

"I think, man child, we should head to Amadha and not floating city water," Eithal said, giving him a motion to Matsue who had begun shaking at the thought of being anywhere near a large body of water. Rift nodded his head and then turned to Crystal, Evelyn, and Flamme to get their answeres.

"Well if Matsue doesn't want to go I wont force her," Crystal responded waving her hand in front of her face to get the smell of their 'supplies' away from her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uh Deana," Josh said taking the map from her gently and flipping it upside down, "You were reading it wrong."
He didn't wait too long as he continued to walk while reading the map as best he could. He wasn't used to the way the people wrote here, if he ever had known, and they were already leaving Roxas. Looking at the map rightside up, this time, he could see that there was another town to the South before a giant lake, "It seems we'll hit a place called Nom- Neim- . . . Numees!"
"How convenient," Daena said, smiling. At least he is reading the map right-side up this time. Why would he hold the map upside down? Daena thought to herself, still frustrated at the map incident a few minutes ago. She wasn't mad; just confused. After all, she wasn't like Irenia, who was pretty much just staring forward into the distance.
"Well, now that we have a destination, shall we speed up a bit? It'll take forever for us to get places if we just walk." Daena said as she nodded towards Irenia on her shoulder. Irenia instantly perked up now that she had something to do, and began collecting the mana in the air. As Josh was the one with the map, Daena would have to follow him, so she waited for him to take to the skies before having Irenia cast Float on her.
"Well thats enough time relaxing lets head back into town" Delano said to Kikiania who got up and walked towards the town."Hmm i wonder if there is a monster near this town. it would be interesting if there was and to know what type of creature it was" Delano talked himself as he and Kikiania entered the town Delano yelled "Hey Mage, Seline you there" his voice rang loud the people around looked at him like he was crazy but he yelled it once more
"It was the stupid woman's fault for interrupting my battle! I would IMAGINE even someone with a TENTH of the qualifications of a warrior would understand the concept of a one on one duel" Jack said in a very sarcastic tone getting up and licking the blood from his lips. "Surley you as her superior i assume can understand the code of the warrior?" Jack said as he cocked his head to the side. "I mean in all honesty so far in this realm outside of the gentleman i was just fighting i havent seen someone who qualifies as an ACTUAL warrior. But then again YOU were the one to get this idiot off of me. So for showing respect to the warrior's code. I commend you." He said taking off his hat to Sir Irwin. "Now then in sight of all this i imagine me and my partner should take our leave. As it seems it is nearly time for tea. And could you have the decency to unbind my partner? Ms.I Feel SO great about myself for going berserk over mere words and attacking an opponent with only a fraction of my strength?" Jack asked tossing Seline an impassive glance.
Rift outlined two different places they could be going to. First was a floating city and the other was a town that apparently got a lot of major train traffic running through it. Eithal brought up that going to the floating city probably wasn't a smart idea as Matsue seemed troubled. Crystal said that she wouldn't force Matsue to go to any place she didn't want to.
"I don't have a problem as to where we go. I mean, it would be really cool to see a floating city, but I wouldn't want anyone to feel uncomfortable." Evelyn said. She then patted Flamme once or twice on the head affectionately and continued, "And all I'm really looking for is a skilled mage which I assume shouldn't be too hard to find regardless of where we go in Nomen. That said, Amadahy seems to be the place to go." There was something else Evelyn meant to ask about but she felt it was better to wait until they were actually traveling as it wasn't particularly important, or at least not enough to put off starting the day's traveling.
"Yes we are here Delano," Seline replied, but was stopped wehn she heard that the man she had bloodied insulted her again; this time in the form of an request to unbind his partner. She had turned around, wand pointed to blow his head off, and was stopped by Sir Irwin who had a gentle smile on his face. Repositioning his pupil's wand to the man's hellhound he glanced back at her, "Seline be kind enough to unbind this man's partner, okay?"
"But!?" she began but begrudgingly did as she was told,knowing that Sir Irwin was right to show some compassion despite who it was being directed towards. He had always taught her that it wasn't the warriors muscles that decided the outcome, but how much spirit he put into each and every single one of his motions. Once the hellhound had been freed Sir Irwin gave Seline his glasses and removed his cloak, which up until know he had kept on even in the blistering heat, and took a step towards Jack, "If you would not mind putting off tea . . . I would like to sate your need for a one-on-one duel."
The crowd grew hush as they looked at the man, almost challenging the crazed man who did more boasting than he should be alloted. Many of the people could recognize the symbols adorning the man's tunic, the symbols of a well skilled mage . . . possibly even of sage class, and they themselves would never have been crazy enough to accept such a fools challenge.
"I think you're right," Josh said getting onto Ave. The Roc spread it's wings wide and flapped them, ruffeling it's feathers until it was comfertable with Josh on his back. Josh was running his fingers through Ave's scalp when he looked back at Deana, "So are you going to follow me or fly beside me?"
If Deana had asked what he wanted Josh would've answered with a simple 'I don't care', but the truth was he'd feel much more at ease if she was flying beside him. Up until now Josh had never really had a chance to speak to Deana freely without the figure of Adrian looming over them. Repositioning himself Josh looked back again, "So are you going to fly besi-"
Josh never managed to finish his sentance due to Ave suddenly taking flight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Then Amadahy it is," Iceis said as the group finished grabbing their things. Rift and Eithal were the first to climb on the ice dragon's back and get themselves into a comfertable position. After that Yaming finished packing and climbe don top of the dragon's back, followed by Matsue and Crystal; Evelyn being the last to get on. Raising her head Icies' wings gave two mighty flaps before they were floating in the air; another two beats and they were already above the treeline. Circeling around to gain altitude Crystal held onto her things and had noticed something about Matsue, nothing major but still again it was something. Matsue had gotten a lot more cheerful when she learned they weren't heading for the city in the middle of the water. Crystal couldn't believe that water scared her so much, but then again even she was afraid of silly things.

Now high in the sky Rift pointed in what looked like a random direction and Iceis'headed that way. Now in free flight Eithal looked back to Evelyn, "So what man child wizard is woman child looking for?"

Evelyn got onto Iceis, being the last to do so. Everyone seemed happy enough now, and even Matsue was calming down. For some reason the idea of going to the floating city really bothered her. But Evelyn figured it was best not to pry too heavily into the matter. Iceis took off and Evelyn was impressed by how powerfully she did so. She didn't know if Flamme was capable of it but then again he was much more considerate of her when he flew than Iceis seemed to be of anyone.

"If this next landing is anything like the last one..." Evelyn thought to herself as the dragon continued on her way. Eithal then questioned her and she breathed a bit of a sigh at the question about who she was looking for. Evelyn often found herself asking that same question.

"That's the problem. I don't know of the mages or where the most skilled might be. Right now it's just a blind search to find someone on or above Sewati's level. All I know is I'm going to need someone good if I'm going to get the spell that shrank Flamme undone. For that matter, Yaming, I don't think I ever got to ask you. You wouldn't happen to know of any renowned mages we might be able to look for do you?" Evelyn said. It was pretty obvious that complications of the situation were getting her down as she thought about them. Having a whole nation of people to search through with no direction did seem pretty discouraging.

Jack grinned a toothy grin and turned to face Sir Irwin. "I accept..." He said. In one part of his mind he KNEW he would lose this fight. But in another part of his mind he wanted to know how far he could push his desire to kill. "Let's dance Bane!!" He shouted as the hellhound joined his side and his jaws began to drip sulfuric acid. Jack drew his axe from its holster and began to analyze Sir Irwin. (He is a Sage...his fighting style wont make much difference if i copy it or not...The fact remains i can't use magic...so...get in close...and take him out) Jack said formulating his plan in his mind

Kikiania walked over to irwin and seline "Things just keep happening when i am around don't they" Delano said chilling as he watched what would be a brawl. Of course not really paying attention Delano looked up at the clouds. "This may or maybe not take long who knows" Delano shurged off. "Hey Seline just sit back and watch. There will be no need to interfere in this duel." Delano said to Seline in a serious tone looking at the duel with a keen eye

"Oh I know," Seline said with her voice filled with confidence. It would have annoyed Delano that she felt no need to help Sir Irwin, yet leaped in without a second thought to give him some aid; weither he needed it or not. But the fact that she was so confident that her master would win actually caught his attention. Was he really so good that he would not be harmed . . . at all?

Sir Irwin had nodded his head when Jack agreed to the match, the crowd howling in excitement, and he drew his axe while Bane drooled acidic saliva. He looked over the man carefully, recognizing that since he would be most likely using magic he would have to get in close in order to make it through. But in the back of his mind there was a part of him screaming . . . screaming to him that they would loose. A sudden jolt of pain broke his trail of thought as he looked down to see Sir Irwin's elbow digging into his chest and his free hand knocking him backwards; in the limited ammount of time he was being hit Jack couldn't tell if that blow was enhanced by magic or not. Sir Irwin didn't let the gap between them get too long as he quickly rushed in, his hands in the form of fists, "There are two kinds of mages in this world . . . classical mages and combat mages . . . guess which one I am!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"A renowned mage in Nomen?" Yaming asked pushing some of her hair out of her face asrthe wind billowed past them. She tilted her head as if she was trying hard to remember at least one and then smiled, "There are actually a lot of renowned mages in Nomen, but Sewati was one of a kind. Though there are others that are better than him."
"That is why we're heading to the capital. If there is a mage that can get your geeko back to full size they'll be there," Rift joked looking back to Flamme and giving a sly grin. Everyone tried not to laugh at the joke but couldn't help themselves as even Iceis laughed at the wyvern's perdicament. Moving her wings again Matsue added in, "But first we have to stop at Amadahy to buy some things and there we can ride the train to the capital."
"Josh!" Daena called out, as she nervously looked around to see why Ave suddenly took off like that. Looks like it was nothing, Daena thought to herself after a few moments. Now that she was calm, she prepared to take off. "Irenia, looks like we'll have to play catch up. We'll fly high this time."
"Alrighty!" Irenia replied, as Daena took off running. After a few feet she pushed herself off the ground, while Irenia's magic went to work. It was exhilarating to fly without having to worry about being in a tournament, and in this world it was even more so. Irenia tucked herself on Daena's shoulder inside her robe while preparing only a small amount of additional magic; she was getting better at this, particularly since the battle they were just in pushed her past her limit. She wondered when Daena would notice, and she recalled the planning the two did when practicing. They decided to focus on Irenia's offensive skills, and just trained Float to carry Daena only; of course now that they were working with another, that may change...
"That was rude!" Daena exclaimed to Josh, once she finally caught up with him. "You say you want me to fly alongside you, and you just take off on your own!" She knew that it was all Ave's doing, but, well, she was *bored*, and it wasn't like they had to worry too much about ambushes this high in the sky.
"It wasn't my fault!" Josh exclaimed pulling on Ave's feathers to make him give a call, "It was this big lugs fault. He flew off without a single notice."
Josh didn't know if Deana was actually angry with him or if she was being sarcastic. But then again he wasn't going to get blamed for something Ave had done without any prompting. As they continued to fly he looked out at the surrounding lands, nothing but beautiful planes surrounding them as far as the eye could see. The time passed slowly and he would occassionally look to see if Deana and Irenia had been left behind. Time and time again he would find them right there, keeping up with him and Ave, "So I see Irenia that you've gotten better at that float magic of yours . . ."
Flamme was about ready to attack Rift for his comment but as when he had wanted to attack Iceis, Evelyn grabbed him and stopped him from moving. Though to be more accurate she was stopping him from attacking.
"Just ignore it...." Evelyn said. Flamme could tell she was irritated too, just not very much. She didn't appreciate the joke made at her partner's expense and aside from Flamme was the only one not laughing, but she wasn't going to snap at anyone like she was sure Flamme was ready to. Evelyn now knew their true destination was the capital and that they'd be stopping in town as a means of getting there. Now she figured was the time to ask what had been on her mind since Rift's group had first met them.
"Now that we're all done laughing at my partner, there was something I meant to ask. What was it you three were up to before you helped us? Because whatever I think you may have been up to, it seems like we've really taken you out of your way." Evelyn asked of Eithal, Matsue, and Rift. She had intentionally excluded Iceis when she said "you three" though that was mostly because she didn't believe Iceis would have been doing anything other than supporting Rift in what he was doing.
"Ah well that is a long story," Rif tsaid turning around in his spot to face Evelyn, "And sorry about making fun of Flamme. I was merely trying to lighten up the mood a bit, Failed horribly I suppose."
"Well, for me, I had been held captive by pirates until Rift and Iceis saved me. You remember me telling you, right?" Matsue said getting her story out of the way first. Indeed Matsue had mentioned that she had been part of a pirate crew once. But she never added anything past that and would instead like Rift and Eithal to finish it; more or less just Rift as Eithal would probably get everyone confused. Eithal, to everyone's suprise, stood up and pounded his chest, "Eithal and man child and woman child and big lizard were hunting other bad man childs and woman childs!"
"He means we were earning money as bounty hunters," Rift explained resting his chin on his hands. He knew the idea of being a bounty hunter wouldn't inspire a lot of confidence in their images, but then again it wasn't all about images in this world. You had to sometimes do thing you would never have done in the real world to get by. In fact Rift could remember eating bugs for more than a week when he first got to this world and the idea of becoming a bounty hunter seemed like as good a thing as anything.
"But don't think bad of us, please. We actually let those with a good reason go," Matsue pleaded, worried that knowing they had went after other people to bring them in might make them look like the wrong sort of people to be around.
