OOC: What do *any* of the signs do? O.o

Prophecy?! Damn! Daena cursed her bad luck; that was the one skill she didn't want to see in this tournament, especially when combined with a way to lock down Irenia. She planned to stay hidden until the number of competitors waned, when hopefully the tougher opponents would be weakened, and most of the Prophecy users gone. Daena lowered her head and prepared to lose, all while resolving on making yet another post complaining about prophecy and weapon-dependent classes on the official forums.

Her end would not be now, though, for a group of players appeared and attacked both the abyss creatures and their tamer. Now free from the grip of the shadows, Irenia quickly flew over to Daena; though she was a little off balance due to the damaged wings. She did not immediately recognize any of the people who saved her, so Daena just freed herself and stood up. She was still breathing hard from all her yelling she did moments ago. "Be ready, Irenia," Daena muttered quietly to the fairy now gripping tightly to Daena's neck.

OOC: What does the monkey sign do?

Aaron smiled as he walked backwards and forwards; Lancet himself walked off. 'The same reason you are, because I can. Honestly, a giant and the rabbit sign? Can you be any less drab than that combo? It is a well known one and it's just sad really. Not that your stretegy matters really, since you and your little friends are going to be out of the running for this tournament anyways. Why? Quite simple, you left your mount, and whilst I was busy distracting you, Lancet has already walked around as close as possible to behind and pincered you' Aaron explained. Lancet had his arms raised to strike as he stood behind the tamer.

Snow then struggled to get up and got on his feet. ".... i'll.... kill.... YOU!" Snow said as spun around in cirlces in one direction, faster then ever. An ice tornado formed around the Giant as the giant was being sliced by ice crystals simutaneously. Snow then used his Tamer device to summon a buster soldier with a buster sword. The ice tornado disappeared, leaving the giant scartched all over it's body as the buster soldier clashed his sword with the giant's. "Your next Tamer!" Snow said as he targeted at the Tamer. "Shadow Cloak!" Snow said as his body turned to shadows and disappeared onto the ground.

Snow then rose back up slowly behind the Tamer and grabbed him, pulling him into the shadows. The Tamer stood there in the middle of nowhere, as the bad situations during his lifetime was the only thing he could watch. A voice echoed in the shadows which appeared to be Snow's voice. "I'll make you suffer more then the damage you did to me!" Snow said as the darkness disappeared, leaving the Tamer paralyzed with fear and terror. Snow rose back up behind and stood there like an sculptor, body engulfed in ice.

If all went well and the Tamer hit Snow, the Tamer will turn into and Snow will strike from behind. C'mon you weakling! Hit me and experience pain like never before. Snow thought to himself as he waited for the time to strike. Appearing out of nowhere, a snake sign appeared on Snow's right arm. What the.... what's that doing on my arm? Snow thought to himself as he stood still in ice.

Evelyn took note of three giants that had approached her general area. One of the three tamers on the giants seemed to have taken note of her. As the other two giants left to fight other tamers it seemed that last giant and tamer pair would attack her. As she held her tome at the ready another tamer came out of no where, as far as she could tell, and began engaging the final giant.

"Well, if I don't have to dirty my hands with this one I won't." she thought as she observed the three fights going on relatively nearby. Then Evelyn got an interesting idea. She used her system and put her tome away and brought another one. This spell was fun for some long ranged fighting. Now what would be better to snipe from than from the air?

"I guess I'm bringing you out sooner than I thought partner. Anyway, get on out her Flamme." she said. Using her system she brought here partner to the tournament grounds. And then all at once their stood Flamme Rouge. A red wyvern who stood at about fourteen feet tall though his wing span was a foot larger. A wyvern was a truly rare partner, not many, at least not many in this beginning to intermediate level, could say they had one.

"So you ready to go Flamme?" she said mentally to her partner. Due to a pretty unique technique Flamme possessed, Evelyn could mentally communicate with her otherwise mute partner.

"Of course. So what are we up to?" he answered. As he asked Evelyn got up on his back and sat down rather comfortably.

"A little mid-air sniping of course!" she said to her partner.

With that Flamme took off into the air and began to soar a good bit above the giants' heads. This would draw a lot of attention to her, but who could hit her while she was up there? And if anyone tried she had her long-ranged wind tome, Gale, ready. Holding the book open and ready to cast she looked out on the field wondering who she might first attack.

A young man dressed in black with a long sword slung on his back ,was watching it all but didn't join in the fight. Through his dark blue sunglasses he watched as a man laughed at the futile attack, due to his skill. ” hmm , time to join in the fun. Their all worn down by know and the giant needs to go down. Don't you agree.” He said looking back at his partner, who like one other on the field was an ice dragon. She nodded in agreement. “ Glacialis fog” He said to her quietly.

With out a sound she parted he jaws and a very dense, very cold fog poured from her mouth. It quickly enveloped the field. Cold, cool fog so thick that you couldn't see 3 feet in front of your face. The female dragon started towards the fog, only to be stopped by Rift. “No, not yet...I'll go in first.” He said , then ran in to the fog his long sword held out to his side.

He first came upon the giant, who was tall enough that his head was out of the fog. THe only thing thet RIft saw as he ran was the foot and lage of a gaint stoping around trying to figure out what was going on SO as he ran by he slashed it. Then continued through the fog. THe giant yelled towards the sky in pain. Rift, laughed as he speed through the fog.

THen he said to his Partner on the other side of the fog "Iceis, Glacies Telum procul unus crocus in poena." He was speaking in Latin, which meant "Iceis ,Ice Bolt at the one yelling in pain." But most people know didn't learn the dead language.

As soon as he said the word a huge ball of ice shot through the fog hitting the Giant in th back. Foceing him to drop to one knee. The beast used one hand to stop it's self from falling flat on it's face. When the giant braced it's self, It was know in gulfed in the fog, Rift was their and took a swing at it's face only to be blocked bye it's parnter. They could barly see each othe through the fog. Rift smiled and said "Can vos pugna per sicco os " In Latin which ment " Can you fight with out sight" THen Rift jumped back and disappeared in to the Fog once more.

OOC: Holy crap. I'm gone for 6 hours for class and the posts go so far.

IC: Sven woke up and realized that he was late. Not for work, but for the tournament. He specifically took this day off for the tournament and he was already late. Quickly he rushed out of his house after getting dressed and headed down to the stadium. He didn't see anyone and figured they were all in the game. "Good I won't be spotted easily if they are all gone," he said to himself. He then ran into the stadium and picked up his device. After getting his device he entered the world. He quickly noticed a few people fighting off giants. 'Sucks to be them,' he thought as he moved away from them all. As he got away he activated the device and a medium sized fox showed in front of him. Then it quickly came to life as the light dimished. Sven scratched it under the mouth and it allowed him to. He then sat down as the fox laid down beside him. "This shall be fun eh Trago?" he said to the fox. It looked at him and then back at the fighting.

The tournament had begun, and Meiqui - or Rose, if people desired to call her by her western name (not to mention Meiqui meant Rose in Chinese) - was in the full swing of things. She was riding on the back of Grunhelm, her ever-loyal Centaur partner, her crosier extended at the longest. She was not in her cleric mode, but in full battle mode. Rose knew about the tournament, and she was determined to do something.

She sighted a lone Tamer on the back of a giant, not too far from everyone else. She would have liked to attempt to fight, if the problem didn't reside in the fact she technically couldn't. As a cleric, she had to dedicate herself to helping the wounded. But I'm in the middle of a tournament, how am I suppose to do that? she thought. Seeing as she couldn't tell for now, she told Grunhelm to come to a pause, and instead began to consider what to do.

Snow then broke the ice around him and jumped in the air. He landed on his own two feet infront of the Tamer that was still paralyzed with fear. Snow had blood running from his left eye and right shoulder. His Tamer device shined in his pocket as 2 grown dragons soared through the sky. Snow had thought these 2 dragons were his partner but he was wrong by a long shot. The buster soldier then jumped back as the 2 dragons circled around the giant, firing beams of powerful light. Snow then fell to the ground because he had use too much energy and passed out. After the dragons got done with the giant, they carried Snow to the castle entrance. The dragons then shined brightly as the female dragon hatched 2 eggs near Snow.

The dragons then healed his wounds and closed up the scars for at least 5 minutes then disappered. Snow woke up fully energize but still weak from the legs and arms. "What in the world?" He questioned as he stood up. He then looked around inside the castle and finally realize where he was. "So i'm finally inside the castle.... time to start looking around." He said as he began walking. Little did he know that he had tripped on the 2 eggs. "What the....?" He said as he picked up the 2 eggs. He began walking while holding the 2 egg. One egg then hatched in 20 minutes and out came a black dragon. He called that dragon Dexter Summers.

The blue egg then hatched right before the black and a baby blue dragon appeared in the air on the left side of Snow. Snow called that dragon Aquos. Snow and his new partner, Dexter, and Aquos, the medical baby dragon, walked along side by side inside the castle. He would warn the others of his disappearance but he had better things to attend to. But just incase, He, Dexter, and Aquos went back outside into the bright sunny day to warn others of his disappearance. He still saw the others being attacked by the giant.

Snow wouldn't care less about them and yet he kept on going to the castle and back inside to finish what he had started since he got in the game. Snow then walked up the stairs, looking at all the pictures in the rooms and even went inside the deserted rooms. "The castle was built back in 2002. But why in the universe?" Snow questioned himself as he looked at one of the old books. "No words on the pages." Snow said as he continued walking inside the castle.

She would have liked to attempt to fight, if the problem didn't reside in the fact she technically couldn't. As a cleric, she had to dedicate herself to helping the wounded. But I'm in the middle of a tournament, how am I suppose to do that? she thought. Watching the fight she saw the arrow of light raced towards its target it faded and vanished even before hitting the Tamer, who laughed as he raised his axe, "My skill is prophecy! Your weapons wont work on me!"

“Prophecy?! Damn!” Daena cursed her bad luck; that was the one skill she didn't want to see in this tournament, especially when combined with a way to lock down Irenia. Daena lowered her head and prepared to lose until someone cried out, “Then how about a good old attack!?”

A group of players appeared and attacked both the abyss creatures and their tamer. Now free from the grip of the shadows, Irenia quickly flew over to Daena; though she was a little off balance due to the damaged wings. She did not immediately recognize any of the people who saved her, so Daena just freed herself and stood up. She was still breathing hard from all her yelling she did moments ago.

“Be ready Irenia,” Daena muttered quietly to the fairy now gripping tightly to Daena's neck. The blue tiger snarled as he backed away and looked for his partner, "This isn't good . . ."

Standing up the man ordered his partner to attack but was surprised to see that they had been all taken out by the woman and the Carbuncle, the cloaked person walking towards him, “I take it this is game over for you.”

“I’ll . . . Kill . . . You!” Snow said as he struggled to get up and to his feet. Spinning around and around, creating an ice tornado around the Giant, who began to be sliced by ice crystals simultaneously. Spinning in the opposite direction the Giant made the ice tornado disappear, but not without leaving the Giant with scratches all over it’s body as Snow tackled the Giant with his sword, “You’re next Tamer!”

Noticing the blast heading his way the Tamer stood up and shouted at his Giant, who turned the other way and had the attack land on his back. Looking back they both could see Aaron and Lancet standing below them, ready to fight, and the Tamer signed. Landing safely at his partners foot he looked around to make sure he wouldn't be ambushed and addressed the 'enemy', "Why on Earth are you attacking me?"

“The same reason you are, because I can. Honestly, a giant and the rabbit sign? Can you be any less drab than that combo? It is a well known one and it's just sad really. Not that your strategy matters really, since you and your little friends are going to be out of the running for this tournament anyways. Why? Quite simple, you left your mount, and whilst I was busy distracting you, Lancet has already walked around as close as possible to behind and pierced you,” Aaron explained. Lancet had his arms raised to strike as he stood behind the Tamer. Evelyn took note of three giants that had approached her general area. One of the three tamers on the giants seemed to have taken note of her, but soon another Tamer came out of no where, as far as she could tell, and quickly dispatched both the Giant and it’s Tamer.

Using her system and put her tome away and brought another one; one that was fun for some long ranged fighting, “I guess I'm bringing you out sooner than I thought partner. Anyway, get on out here Flamme!”

Materializing from the device a red wyvern stood with his wings spread as he stretched in the bright sunshine; a wyvern was a truly rare partner, not many, at least not many in this beginning to intermediate level, could say they had one. Looking at the Wyvern Evelyn spoke mentally towards her partner, “So you ready to go Flamme?”

“Of course. So what are we up to?” he answered while Evelyn got up on his back and sat down rather comfortably, “A little mid-air sniping of course!”

Seeing one of the Giants vanishing both of the others noticed and then a single one spotted Flamme as he and his Tamer soared a good bit above the giants' head. Holding the book open and ready to cast she looked out on the field wondering who she might first attack. Blocking an attack from his current enemy the Giant who had noticed him and suddenly took flight after the Wyvern. Watching from afar a young man dressed in black saw the Giant take flight after the small Wyvern, “Hmmm . . . I think its time to join in the fun. Don't you agree?”

Nodding from behind the hill, mainly to conceal her immense body, the ice dragon agreed as her Tamer chanted ‘glacialis fog’ and with out a sound she parted he jaws to let a very cold fog pour from her mouth; it quickly enveloped the field. The female dragon started towards the fog, only to be stopped by Rift, “No not that one. The one in the air.”

Climbing onto the dragon’s back Rift and Iceis took flight and could only see the shoulders of the Giant as it swung after the Wyvern. Diving in Rift and Iceis slashed at the beasts face, cutting the Giant’s cheek, causing it to yell in pain. Rift, laughed as he speed through the fog and then spoke to Iceis, “Iceis! Glacies Telum procul unus crocus in poena!”

He was speaking in Latin, which meant ‘Iceis! Ice Bolt at the one yelling in pain!’, but most people know didn't learn the dead language. Once the final word finished drifting into the thick fog a huge ball of ice shot through the fog hitting the Giant in the back, forcing him to drop to one knee. When the giant braced itself his Tamer stumbled and spotted Rift and Iceis diving towards them; managing to block Rift’s sword. Rift smiled and said in Latin, can you fight without sight, before jumping back on Iceis and vanishing into the fog.

Watching the monitor Mr. Valiant smiled as many battles raged on in the game. Looking down he could see a late contestant run into the stadium and picked up his device. After getting his device he entered the world. He quickly noticed a few people fighting off giants. 'Sucks to be them,' he thought as he moved away from them all. As he got away he activated the device and a medium sized fox showed in front of him. Then it quickly came to life as the light diminished. Sven scratched it under the mouth and it allowed him to. He then sat down as the fox laid down beside him, “This shall be fun, eh Trago?”

“Mr. Valiant? How long do you suppose the tournament will last?” Trisha Takkakaw asked seeing someone take out a giant. Focused on the game the software mogul then looked up and responded, “It shouldn’t be much longer. Though I would like to know who managed to beat that Kraken.”

Guest Tainted Black

Josh regained his footing, as he called out to his partner. "AVE! Hold on!" Josh glared at the master of the giant. "Wanna fight? Then I'll get serious." He pocketed Noir and pulled out another tome, this one being the tome he called Nosferatu. He began chanting, and an odd symbol surrounded him, with six circles on each of the points of the six sided diamond shape. It glowed purple as he finished his chant. He raised his hand in the air, and the symbol vanished, reappearing around the giant. "NOSFERATU!" The seal began to glow intensely, and spun, making purple energy come out of the giant, and head for Ave. "Now, I'm good for a beginner am I?" He asked as Ave's tail shot at the master of the Giant.

Sven decided to go find people to fight and leave the people to fight the Giants alone. "We'll if we want to truly be alone we have to get rid of some people aren't we Trago?" he asked the fox. The fox rose and signalled for Sven to get on so that they could get going. "That's what I thought buddy," he said with a pat on the fox's side. He got onto the fox and it ran off through the woods. Sven kept scanning the area as the fox ran to see if he spotted anyone alone. Suddenly the fox sped up and started heading in a specific direction. "What is it? A person?" he asked. The fox ran until it hit a lake and then stopped right at it's edge. "I see what your getting at," Sven said. He got off the fox and let it drink from the lake.

Game over, huh... Daena thought to herself as the cloaked man approached her assaulter. His fate was sealed, her's... not so much. Theoretically she could continue to participate in the tournament, but actually winning would leave a bad taste in her mouth. Irenia's wings were flapping heavily, with the buzzing easily reaching Daena's ear. "Don't worry, we'll be fine" Daena whispered to her partner, once again amazed at the range of responses partner monsters had; exceeding even dedicated AI applications. Irenia responded by finally resting her wings, sighing.

The cloaked man was dealing with the other tamer at the moment, so Daena approached the girl and the boy who came as well, while Irenia kept an eye on the cloaked man and his opponent from her shoulder perch.

"Thank you for saving us," Daena spoke, lowering her head a little as a gesture of gratitude. Raising her head, she continued speaking. "I can't say I know why, since we're in a tournament..." she continued, with Irenia's attention quickly turning to the two tamers she spoke to.

Snow.... along with both Dexter and Aquos, walked through the castle but stopped at the biggest room in the castle. What the room looks like to be is a battle arena that has a perfect view of the beach where Snow first saw the Tamer and the other Tamers fighting the giants. "This is interesting. Perfect for a little sparring match." Snow said as he looked out the window. What he did not know was that one Tamer was actually hiding inside the castle, waiting for someone to come inside, and Snow was the prey. The Tamer called himself Brute, because of him and his Tamer Giant's brute strength. Brute then walked to the big room, all calm and cool-like until he spotted Snow and his two dragons.

"So you managed to come inside the castle safely yet not noticing me?" Brute said as he stepped onto the ring. Snow noticed Brute but paid no attention. "I guess that the castle is your little gang hideout huh? Well i'm hear to put a stop to it. I'm taking over the castle and making it my own hideout." Snow said as he took out his book as the dragons stood infront of him, ready to fight the hard fight. Brute took out his device and summoned his Giant. After the light dimmered and disappeared, the Giant was huge and had on a black headband. Snow stepped back as he looked up. "Cute. You guys even have headband accessories. What's next? Wristbands? Rings?" Snow said as he book shined red.

The Giant ran to Snow while grabbing the two dragons, throwing them to Snow and did a uppercut then sent Snow flying to the air, breaking the roof. Snow was up in the air and began to drop fast. He held the two dragons closer and tighter as he went through his book. He flipped through the page to find a spell then soften his fall. His book shined green as he said the command, "Millenium Shield." A shield that only had one eye appeared infront of Snow. The eye of the shield then opened and covered Snow and the two baby dragons in a earth ball covered in rough rock substance.

The earth ball then hit the ground hard as it disappeared into the air. After the impact of the fall on the beach, Snow was not only still on the ground but he was unconscious. The Giant from the castle jumped through the roof and landed on the beach with the Tamer on it's shoulder. The Giant raised it's right leg on top of Snow and the dragons as the dragons wimpered and tried to wake up Snow. "I'm sorry but this is the end for you." Brute said as the Giant was about to smash and end Snow from the Tamer universe.

"Now, I'm good for a beginner am I?" He asked as Ave's tail shot at the master of the Giant. But Josh knew his opponent couldn't speak as his skin slowly turned pale, black rings underneath his eyes forming as he slouched down. Gasping for ait the man clutched his chest, the skin on his hands shriveling up and getting purplish spots randomly. Looking up the Tamer's age appeared to have been advanced by thirty years in the mere seconds the spell had been activated; and yet, Ave's appearance was having the opposite effect. The Roc was looking younger, more vital than it had even at the begining of the match. Any damage the winged beast had taken during the match was vanishing just as slowly as the Tamer's appearance grew more ghoulish. Once he was able to stand no longer the Tamer toppled over and both him and his partner vanished in digital light- they had been defeated.

Two Giants Down- One Left Standing

"Thank you for saving us," Daena spoke, lowering her head a little as a gesture of gratitude. Raising her head, she continued speaking, with Irenia's attention quickly turning to the two Tamers her owner was speaking to, "I can't say I know why, since we're in a tournament . . ."

"Ah, well . . ." the young man started but turned bright red as he scratched the back of his head too embarrassed to finish. Sighing the girl beside him shook her head and shook Daena's hand, her tanned skin a contrast from Daena's own white complextion. Looking at her face Daena could tell she wasn't American, "Don't mind Max, he's always like that. My names Crystal. And you don't have to thank us for saving you."

"Yeah, it was all his idea after all," Max added on, having gathered his thoughts, and pointed to the still cloaked stranger as the digital light of the fallen opponent faded. Having heard his name the young man glanced over and, even under the hood, Daena could see a smile while he walked towards her and Irenia. Beside him stood and immensily beautiful woman in a japanese kimono, her silver hair tied in a bun while she held onto the cloaked man's arm; a carbuncle floating a bit too close to Daena for comfert, "Ain't she a beauty, right boss man?"

"Jasper," the cloaked man called off with a small laugh, "Leave the lady alone . . . and don't try anything."

"I ain't ever do anythin' wrong," Jasper said in protest as the kimono girl grabbed his tail and pulled the carbuncle away. Standing between Crystal and Max the man held out his hand, "As for your question. Its not really a tournament, though Mr. Valiant would like others to think so."

"That's what I thought buddy," Sven said with a pat on the fox's side. He got onto the fox and it ran off through the woods, always scanning the area as the fox ran to see if he spotted anyone alone. Suddenly the fox sped up and started heading in a specific direction.

"What is it? A person?" he asked. The fox ran until it hit a lake and then stopped right at it's edge. "I see what your getting at," he thought, getting off the fox and let it drink from the lake. The Giant raised it's right leg on top of Snow and the dragon as the baby wimpered and tried to wake up Snow. Brute laughed as the giant's foot raised to its highest peak, "I'm sorry but this is the end for you!"

With a crash gthe giant's foot fell on top of Snow and a digital light emerged from underneath- signifying that the opponent had been defeated. In a bright flash of light Snow found himself standing back in the middle of the stadium, surrounded by everything he had seen before the game began. Looking down at his Tamers System it showed the image of his dragon, "Ah man . . . and I thought I had him!"

As the fox drank, Sven continued watching the area for any Tamers. "I wonder if there are any Tamers who hang out by lakes as well," he said to the fox. The fox stopped its drink and looked at him as if he was talking nonsense. "I'm serious, don't you think that someone else would at least let their partner do things they want. I give you some freedom afterall," he said pointing at the water. The fox went back to drinking as if giving in to what Sven was saying. Sven laid back onto the grass that grew next tot he lake. He wondered what other creatures were around and what powers they held.

Deep within the fog , Iceis and Rift where lisening to the battle. " TO fight with out sight, mean's to lisen and feel for you foe." Rift thought with a smile.they could feel the ground underneath them move every time the giant moved. They could hear him every time he took a breath and worse yet they could smell his breath . With that knewlage they crept ever closer to they unwary foes. Rift and Iceis where very close to the foe now, and the giant didn't even know it due to the thick fog and Iceis stelth."Glacies telum suus left armo Iceis" Rift wispered to Iceis, or in english "Ice bolt his left arm Iceis".

Aaron sighed as he and Lancet left the fog. Some one else had interfered and it was no fun picking up another's table scraps. 'Come on Lancet, let's see if we can find something else to defeat, maybe that Tamer that defeated a Kraken, that would be a trial worth enduring' he commented. Lancet said nothing and did nothing but follow. 'I thought Tsukumogami could talk, but then again, with what. A spirit possessing a suit of armor, what a great choice' he added whilst removing a bang covering his eye.

Irenia glared at the strange carbuncle who was circling Daena, and the green light strands surrounding the fairy signaled that it was ready to attack at any time. Daena raised her left hand up in front of Irenia, signaling to *not* attack the people who just saved them. Irenia sighed and mumbled something to herself as the green lights faded, just as the carbuncle was pulled away by the lady in the kimono.

Daena shook the mysterious man's hand, as she let the words he spoke sink in. "I wouldn't be surprised," she replied, slinging the elder bow she was still carrying on her back. "There's so many things in this game that are still a mystery." Daena summoned her crossbow from her housing unit and strapped it on a harness on the back of her waist. Ahh, much better, she thought to herself, glad there was no longer a reason to hide her weaponry as she did.

"I'm Daena, by the way, and the fairy on my shoulder is Irenia," Daena said, turning so that Max and Crystal could hear as well. Irenia calmed down enough to reply with a forced "Hi," grudgingly accepting that these people were not enemies. "Though do any of you know what we're supposed to do, if we're not to fight each other?" Daena asked. The sounds of combat were dying down, so there were probably only a few people left besides the ones here, she figured.

Once Irenia had said 'hi' the Kimono girl leaned in to look at her closely, Max and Crystal introducing their own partners. Standing next to Max was the giant blue tiger, which he said his name was Tommy, and Crystal introduced her fairy partner Amy; Amy happily waving to the other fairy in their midst.

Yet the stranger in the cloak didn't state his name or reintrocude Jasper, nor did the Kimono girl, and instead he was looking to the east while listening to the final few bouts finishing. After hearing Daena ask what the true purpose of the game, if not to fight, "To train is the best answer."

Lifting his head he could hear someone heading their way and whoever it was heavy set; making a clanking noise like metal. While the Tamer and his metallic partner came closer to Max, Crystal, Daena and the stranger the sound of ice shattering along with the shouts of pain rang out.

The Giant had spun around to try and slap his opponent out of the sky, but missed through the fog and his Tamer cursed at it. Crouching down the Giant clapped his hands and caused parts of the fog to disappear, revealing the dragon's tail. Stomping after it the Giant's foot splashed in a lake, unknowingly drenching a lone Tamer and his partner, but still couldn't find the enemy through the remaining fog.

Rift heard the splash, then the tamer cures. Iceis grined, they where thinking the same thing. Iceis legs tensed, then with little effort she jumped into the air and came face to face with the giant. Rift cryed "congelo!" Iceis jaws poped open. Then a blizzard of ice hit the face and shoulders of the giant. The giant was crying in pain as ice formed on it. Then slowly it stoped moveing as ice encased the giant. His tamer frozen on his shoulder

Rift simled as Iceis roared and The frozen Giant started to fall appart. As the pices hit the ground they digitly disappeared. Iceis then landed back in the fog. " Well one down and one to go." Just as Rift said that he hear some one talking about "table scraps"? " Hmm their just out side of our fog." He said with a smile then added " Let's greet are upset foe." Then iceis jumped up and turned in the direction of their guest's. Iceis roared to signal their coming.

Sven noticed the fog roll in and wonder what was going on. The fox stopped drinking and looked up as if it sensed someone or something. Then it moved away from the water and urged Sven to as well. Just as he got up however the wave struck them both. "Oh this is just great," he said looking at his wet partner, "Shake it off buddy. Its' time to go to work." The fox shook off the water off its top coat and got into a fighting stance. As Sven removed his sword from the sheath, the fox changed into one of the Giants seen earlier, though it was white like its fur to be distinguished from the others. Trago, the now giant, lifted Sven up and began to walk towards where the sounds of fighting were occuring. Trago walked through the lake and through the fog, not knowing what was inside of it. "Hey, who made this fog?" Sven called out in slight anger.

"Hmph. Well.... it wouldn't hurt to start all over again." Snow said as he checked with the authorities. The higher ups said he has one more chance but if he gets killed at this chance, he is automatically elimniated from the game. With that said, Snow jumped back in the game as the character he once was. "Ok. I went to the castle and got my a** whooped by that Tamer, Brute. Time to pay him a visit." Snow said as he walked the same path. He used his Tamer device to summon his little black book with all his spells, and his partner, Dexter. "Good to see you two buddy. I see Aquos didn't make it huh?" Snow said as he looked at Dexter, who shook his head no. Dexter and Snow looked up in the sky because they know that Aquos is in a better place. "Now it's personal." Snow said as he walked to the beach with Dexter by his side.

"For killing me, killing Aquos, and ruining my whole adventure.... today Brute, your going to be disconnected from the game.... forever." Snow said as he walked in the forest right by the beach. Snow and Dexter arrived to the beach to only find Brute and his Giant, Kilgore, sleeping. "WAKE UP BRUTE!" Snow said loud as Brute and Kilgore woke up. "Back for more eh? We creamed you last time and we can do it again." Brute said as he was picked up by Kilgore and landed on his partner's shoulder. Dexter then got angry as he opened his mouth and shot a jet stream of flames at Kilgore. The damage did no effect.

"Nice try pipsqueak but that won't do." Brute said as Kilgore walked up to Dexter and smacked him sideways, letting Dexter land on the ground with a handprint on his face. Snow then got really angry as Kilgore and Brute laughed at the impact. Snow then unleashed his sword and lunged at the giant. The giant then smacked Snow out the way as Snow said a spell from his book. "Sandstorm!" The sand around the Giant the made into a tornado and swirled around the Giant and his Tamer. "Now Dexter FlameThrower!" Snow commanded Dex as Dexter fired a powerful jet stream of fire at the tornado. The tornado then took on the flames as it transformed into a fire tornado, causing little damage to the Giant.

"Time to deal an even greater damage. Twin Dragon Blizzard!" Snow said the spell as he jumped in the air. He dropped his book in his pocket as he thrusts both of his arms downward. When he did so, twin black ether-like dragons were summoned as they flew to the giant. When the fire tornado disappered, the Giant and Tamer were only half naked from the top. "What the....?" Brute said as he saw the twin black dragons coming his way.

"Alright boy. If you wanna play then let's play!" Brute said as his partner stood his ground. As the dragons arrived, they turned around one another in which creating a black tornado. The tornado was strong enough to levitate the Giant from the ground. "Now for the final finale." Snow said as flipped through his pages. Dexter flew infront of him and pointed at him. "Ok Dex. You can have at it. Blizzard Ice Rockets!" Snow said as Dexter was covered in ice.

Aaron and Lancet stopped at the roar from the fog they had left. 'So, an ice dragon, how fitting' Aaron commented and continued walking, as he wasn't fluent in dragon roars. 'I wonder who took down the kraken, they're generally powerful enough, due to their size; but aren't unbeatable. The ability to submerge when in water is great for evading attacks, but they're not too useful when on land. I feel sorry for the aquatic tamers who always have to be near a body of water to effectively use their partners' he continued as they neared the beach.

Daena had to pause for a moment after the man replied something about 'training'. While he probably knows more than he's revealing, that statement alone is a gold mine for conspiracy theorists. Daena wasn't one, but Tamer's odd source code coupled with a false tournament gave her many reasons to worry. She probably should have logged out now, but she wanted to see where these threads lead.

While Daena was conversing with the other tamers, Irenia was involved in a staring match of sorts with the lady in the kimono. Her concentration was broken by the sudden noises off to the distance; if the battles were nearing an end, they would end spectacularly, it seemed.

"What...?" That was all that came from Daena's mouth as she turned to spot dense fog in the direction the sounds came from. As opposed to her tamer, Irenia had her eyes further down the beach, where a tamer and his partner came walking down the beach in their general direction. The partner monster was one that Irenia never saw before; it looked like an animated suit of armor. Believing them to be enemies, two strands of green light appeared in Irenia's open palms, but they were dissipated once Daena started moving in the direction of the fog, taking the fairy on the shoulder with her.

"What's going on here?" Daena said, inching closer towards the multisided battle raging. The fog lifted a bit revealing two giants; one of which was not one of the original ones that Daena spotted earlier. Her hand instinctively reached for the Elder Bow, but she did not draw it once she grabbed it. After all, it would be best if she stayed out of this battle. Still, she did not release her hand, since she was too tense to do so.

Rift was flying on Iceis over the fog..."Hey, who made this fog?" Some one shouted in anger, and startled Iceis so bad that she roared. She hovered over the area, then when she wasn't attacked , she used the gust from her wings to clear the fog. Reviling a man and a fox near the lake edge. " We made this fog, are you a challenger or do you need something?" Rift said with a hint in his voice that he was ready for battle. Iceis flapping slowed and then she landed.

SO that they where face to face with this new rival.
