Tamers (Started/Accepting Via OOC)

Right as the group had gotten ready to have dinner another person had shown up. He had seemed nice enough and was requesting to join them. However Rift and Iceis didn't seem to be too willing to trust the newcomer. Upon being questioned Matsue responded it was because the man was a killer, blood on his axe confirmed the idea and no one would know what a murder was like better than Matsue. Evelyn used her Tamer's system to draw a tome, Gale in this case as she had no intentions of getting close to him, in case the man decided fighting them would be a better course of action. She took a few steps back, just to put more distance between herself and the man. She had her tome open and was ready to get the spell going.

"He didn't seem like he wanted a fight, but our group isn't going to trust him. I hope he just takes his leave." Evelyn thought. The man hadn't yet made motions he was ready to fight himself, but if Matsue's idea of the man was accurate it was safe to say that could change very quickly. The idea that he had introduced himself as being from London finally caught up to Evelyn as she kept her eyes on him. The man then said he had had to defend himself. Evelyn wasn't ready to accept that.

"Don't give us that! You know Tamers don't fight to kill when they face each other. If you honestly killed another Tamer then you're a monster without conscious or feelings! Just go away, we don't want anything to do with you!" Evelyn said to Jack.

"Tamers are indeed human are they not? Are you Tamers not human? we ALL have the capacity to do whatever we want." Jack said picking up his axe and walking away. "Don't be so naive as to think that Tamers are any different than other humans." Jack said with a slight chuckle in his voice as he walked off. "Remember no matter how close you grow to your partners...you are still human with human thoughts and emotions...adn human instability." Jack said as Bane joined him in walking away "Farewell Tamers...i sincerely hope we meet again." Jack and Bane walked out of sight. Jack held an expression of slight dissapointment that he didnt get his afternoon tea. and Bane was just happy to be out of this situation. "Well...that could have gone better...what RUDE individuals." Jack said with indignation. "I would never expect a man like you to call someone rude master." Bane said with a chortle. "Well you know how unpredictable i can be Bane my friend" Jack said his chuckle becoming a laugh.

"I think... you should send someone back there to help him to his room. He seemed a little cranky." Daena said to Adrian as he led her around. She couldn't understand why someone who was as helpful as him would snub Josh like that. Still, they were getting a place to rest, so she didn't want to complain too much. Some part of Daena enjoyed the attention she was getting as well, and subconsciously at least, she didn't want to mess that up with something stupid, like getting engrossed in theorycrafting.

 

Irenia figured why Adrian did, though, even if her Tamer did not. Once again she glared at Adrian, especially since he was leading Daena by the hand. Sure he was helpful, but he was getting a little to friendly for her taste. Most importantly, she still hasn't forgiven him for calling her stupid. At least they would be gone soon.

Seline gave a sour face, but what was she to do? The only thing she could do is follow him. However she refused to ride on that giant lizard of his. Instead she followed beside them as they walked through the town, "What is so imporant about fighting?"

Once Jack and Bane had left Crystal's entire body got a shiver as she tried to 'warm' herself back up. Indeed Jack had given everyone a bad vibe. He had tried to dance around the reason why he murdered a person, but no one had been tricked by his fancy words. Luckily he had left. Now that they were, supposedly, all alone the group resumed eating. Though the meal was quite Rift and Iceis kept their senses alert for the man's return; after all they were staying for a while.

Ever since they left Jack and Bane continued to walk, following the line of the enormious lake, without stopping. It seemed as if it would go on forever and ever despite the minutes and hours they were waisting trotting along; though it was the only optionthey had. If they returned to the eariler group there was a good chance of being attacked.

Adrian had let go of Deana's hand once she had mentioned helping Josh, his face momentarily showing how much he didn't want too, and after a minute nodded his head. Looking around he got the attention of a servant and instructed her to go help Josh to his room. With that out of the way he turned back to Deana and realized that Irenia was giving him an unfriendly look, "Is there something wrong fairy?

"Fighting is something that happens everyday. Not only with fists but with words. Plus without fighting than things would be pretty boring" Delano said looking around for the request board "Do you know where the request board would be at seline" Delano asked as they continued walking around. Kikiania used her three heads to look for the request board in all the direction's Delano could not. "lets see now if i was a request board where would i been" Delano said outloud

Ichiro woke up, rubbing his head in pain. His vision was blurry, and he was shaking like a leaf. He was obviously in a cold climate, and his head hurt which meant either he hit his head or he was high up. Or both. When his sight returned to its full strength, he realized he really was high up - on the top of a mountain. He started to go down, thinking, What am I doing here? Last I remember I was getting ready for a tournament.. When he got to the bottom of the mountain, he headed east and found himself, eventually, in a valley area. "This is so weird.. These places DO seem familiar though somehow.."

"Well you see," Sven began not knowing if should try to explain to her the truth or to lie, "I'm not from here at all. Let's just say, no one would know of me if my name was stated." He decided he wouldn't tell her the exact truth but let her know that he surely wasn't from around the area or even anywhere near the area. This would hopefully not lead to more questions, but he would answer any that came up if needed. Trago wagged his tail and rolled onto his back as Axel pet him. He enjoyed the attention since Sven was his only company for all that he knew. "So what's your story?" he asked her wanting to get to know more about her since she was asking about him.

"I still don't trust you. That's all."

 

Irenia's comment surprised Daena, who was baffled by Irenia's comment. She was just clamoring for Adrian to come with us a few moments ago, Daena thought to herself. I can't understand her sometimes... Daena turned her head and stared right into Irenia, who was indeed making a very obvious glare at Adrian. This confused her evem more; she never really seen her with such an expression for a long period of time.

 

"Irenia, he's helping us and giving us someplace to rest for the night," Daena said, before getting cut off.

 

"I know, but..." Irenia found it hard to actually say what was bothering her, especially in front of the offending party.

 

"At least stop making that face at him."

 

"...Okay," Irenia said, before sitting on Daena's shoulder backwards, so she wouldn't have to face him at all. She was pouting, another expression that Daena was unfamiliar with. Then again, Daena solos half the time and the parties she was in were mostly strictly for battle.

 

"Sorry about that, Irenia's likely to blast away anything she doesn't like." Daena said with a sigh. "You weren't blown away instantly so you still have a chance!" Daena added, with a 'hmph' sound coming from her shoulder.

"Well either way you are welcome to stay as long as you like," Adrian said, giving a curteous bow to Irenia, and then Deana before exiting the room. He wans't afraid of the fairy, but she didn't at all seem to like him for a reason. Though Adrian could make a good guess as why she didn't. People say the partner is a reflection of their Tamer, so if Irenia didn't like him so much, is it possible that Deana is merely leading him on? No . . . no he couldn't think that way and-

 

"Hey dude what gives!?" Josh said breaking Adrian's train of though. He looked up to see Josh standing in the middle of the hallway with the servant which Adrian had sent to guide him to his room. Letting out a sigh he got on a smile, the best fake on he could manage, and asked what was the matter, "What kind of room is an attic supposed to be!?"

 

"You don't like it?"

 

"Oh no it'd be perfect . . . if I were a rat!" Josh said sarcastically, tapping his foot in aggervation, and had about enough of Adrian that he was more likely to sock him in the face at any moment. Walking up right in front of him he looked down at the boy and stood his full height, "If I'm your guest . . . then I want a good room . . . and not an attic."

 

"Fine, fine . . . it was a joke anyways," Adrian lied as he lead Josh down the hall and too the right, leading him away from were Deana would be staying; the last thing he wanted was to think about Josh heading towards her room in the middle of the night.

Once Ichiro had finished heading down the mountain he could see a wide open plain that stretched farhter than he could have imagined. It was drastically differnt from what he was accustomed too during his life in the city. But something about it still bothered him. It wasn't that he had been dropped off on top of a mountain which lead to a wide open plain; after all being who he was it could all mean he was kidnapped and left for dead. No it was a feeling he got from just standing there in the evening air, something was different about this place.

 

"So you finally made it?" someone asked Ichiro with a familiarity in their voice. When Ichiro spotted him the man got a wide grin on his face, indeed he looked like Ichiro; they could be mistaken for twins. But IIchiro knew who this was without a doubt.

When Sven asked about Lilith's past she looked away form him and out the open window. She sat there for about a minute, in silent thought, and then turned back to Sven with her beautiful eyes as Axel scratched Trago's stomach, "Well looks like those two are getting along."

 

It was plainly obvious that Lilith was trying to dance around the question and not answer Sven. Though if she didn't want to talk about it he might have prefered her to just say it than do something like this.

Seline frowned as Delano explained that fighting was in everything they did- from actual fists to words. She was begining to think that he did nothing more than think about fighting and himself, though he would often toss an idea about his partner into the mix. Was her master honestly going to train this idiot to become someone of importance? Or was this another of his little ventures into something different? Probably the later, but she hoped it wouldn't last long.

 

Once he had asked about a request board she pointed to their left at a sign covered in parchment, "You mean that?"

"There's no possible way. It can't be. But it has to be." Knowing this had to be a dream, Ichiro decided to play along. "Felenix? That you? But you're from that video game, aren't you? How are you here? I must've hit my head harder than I thought... Ugh..." He rubbed his head again as a sharpness of pain surged through his body. "Doesn't matter. If you're solid, that's great. Because then you can carry me. After I hit my head on whatever it was, I just became fatigued. Not to mention the walk, trk, hike, whatever, I took down that huge mountain. So, would you mind?

"Thanks" Delano said than went over to the board and searched the board "Hey seline can ya help me find a request that requires slaying a beast or something" Delano said as both him and Kikian scanned the request board seeing requests of all kinds "Hmm... now if i was a slaying quest where would i be. O ya this maybe none of my business but how did you come to meet irwin" Delano asked seline as he continued looking through the requests "I am pretty sure you did not meet him in the style i did" Delano chuckled to himself. Thinking to himself 'If i can just find a job that has good pay than i can stock on supplies and maybe have enough to maybe find some one who can make my lance stronger.

Garth looked at awe at this town that seemed to be floating on the water. He saw and heard several boats all around. These boats were not the biggest but they were pulling up fish of monstorous sizes and they just kept fishing more and more of them.

"How is that possible? How is any of this possible!" Garth thought to himself. Instead of freaking out he decided to ask Sammuel one question.

"Where are we?"

Jack had his face in his hand and groaned from boredom. "AAAAAGH!!!" He screamed sinking his axe into a stone evenly splitting it in half. "I havent killed anything since i got here! This is seriously starting to tick me off Bane!" He shouted very irritated with his experiance here. He then calmed down and turned to Bane. "It's no big deal...we'll just have to go looking for other prey that's all." Jack said with a chortle. "Let's get moving Bane!!" And with that the fearsome duo were off. After quite a while of walking Bane picked up on another tamers scent. Jack's eyes lit up and then in an instant Jack and Bane were on the trail of their next kill.

Daena woke at the crack of dawn, before any of the household servants came to wake her. Irenia was still sleep nearby on a pillow, like last afternoon, except this time she was resting peacefully. Looking at Irenia, Daena couldn't help but wonder if Irenia was actually a part of this world. The fairy was as confused as everyone else when the tamers were sent here. But at this point, Daena doesn't believe her partner to be an AI, especially since they aren't exactly connected to a computer system right now. Daena's eyes turned to the housing unit on the desk. Even if the log out function is disabled, it is still somewhat functional. She wondered if she could hack it, even though she would need to be careful to not break it so she would end up stuck. It would be something to think about, at least.

 

While getting dressed, Daena took the time to plan what she and Josh will need to prepare for travel. She was feeling pretty good about her plan until she got to one thing: money.

 

"I have a good amount of game currency," Daena muttered to herself as she paced around the room. "But none of whatever they use here. There was that poster job, but we kind of vanished without finishing it. Don't really want to beg for money but..." Daena stopped moving. "What if we offer our unique services?" Shaking her head, Daena resumed circling the room mumbling to herself. "Don't even know what they need..."

Felenix gave small grimace, he normally didn't like being ridden around, but after all this was his partner; and if he could not cooperate with him then who else could he? Nodding his head Felenix leapt into the sky and, while doing a backflip, transformed himself into a very large jaguar; the size of a horse in fact. Shaking his entire body he slinked over to Ichiro before lifting him up, "So where to partner?"

Sammuel looked up and over his shoulder at Garth as he paddled the boat. His oar would occassionally splash loudly as he grunted to keep the boat going against the current; though by the size of his muscles it could be easily guessed he did this often. Looking out at the floating town he thought about it and, sighing, he shook his head, "How can you not know the floating city of Afon?"

"It isn't any of your buisness," Seline said bluntly while she scanned the 'wanted ads' for Delano. She had at first taken a liking to him but after spending time around him . . . and learning how rude he truely was, she was more likely to just up and leave him if Sir Irwin ever gave the okay. Standing back up she let out a sigh and turned to Delano, "There isn't anything here about 'slaying monsters' or slaying of any kind Delano."

"Nomanians use copper coins," Josh said walking into the room without knocking and tossing a coin towards Deana, which she caught. He looked around the room, sank down on the bed before letting out a long sigh. He held his chin on his hand as he looked up at her, "I've already finished packing and talking to Adrian . . ."

"You could've knocked first!" Daena exclaimed, while examining the coin. After Josh sat down on the bed, Daena shook her head and placed the coin in her pocked. "I got all my stuff ready last night, so I'm ready. Let me just wake Irenia..."

 

The fairy was sleeping on the pillow next to where Josh sat himself down at. She looked peaceful as she laid there, perhaps having a good dream. Daena gave Irenia a gentle push of the finger to wake her. "Irenia, time to get up!"

 

Irenia's first reaction in her half conscious state was to blast Daena with a wind spell, launching her out the door and against the wall in the hallway. The loud crash the impact made succeeded in awakening Irenia, who was distraught at the damage she caused her tamer partner. "Sorry, sorry! I though you were an enemy!" Irenia said, flying over to Daena with tears welling up in her eyes.

 

Daena was mostly fine; there wasn't much magical force behind the spell, and the pain from the impact would eventually vanish. She stood up, while massaging her shoulder with her hand. "I'm... alright Irenia. Just get ready to leave," she said slowly, still dazed from the the spell.

Josh had apologized about not knocking first, explaining that he had hardly gotten any sleep since he was brought to his room, and then watched as Deana went to wake Irenia up; whom he had sat down next too. The tiny fairy was starttled and blasted her partner against the wall with a wind spell, which knocked Josh off the bed as well, though he wasn't hurt. After saying sorry Adrian and Jericho appeared in the doorway, the guard looking at the three, "What is with all of the ruckus?"

 

"Ah sorry Jericho, Irenia just had a rough time of getting up," Josh said, not wanting to tell them that she had unintentionally attacked Deana, expecially with Adrian looking worried at Deana; who was still on the ground. Even if Jericho had guessed the truth he seemed to not care and told them that they'd be waiting i the front room before taking their leave.

"So it seems o well. Better luck next time" Delano said than chuckled as he climbed onto Kikiania's back than looked around "Towns never really suited me much" Delano said as he nodded to Kikiania and they started to walk to the outskirts of the town. "I've always preferred being outside of towns unless necessary. Than and its sometimes too noising so i can't enjoy the sky" Delano said as they entered the outskirts Kikiania sat down while Delano kicked back and watched the clouds "Nothing like relaxing and watching the clouds. The conditions are just right to the stars will be nice tonight" Delano said grinning

"Damn shame you won't be there to see them." Jack said with a grin on his face and a manic look in his eyes. He glared down at Delano with bloodlust. "Personally usually when I can't find something to kill i'll INVENT new things to kill." He said as if he were an enthusiast of some great sport. "My FAVORITES are the ones that put up a decent fight. the longer they fight the more blood stains get EVERYWHERE!!!" He said taking his axe out of its holster and grinning as his vicious teeth glinted. "BANE!!! We've found the scource of your mystery scent!" Bane growled eagerly as he joined Jack's side. "Now i can tell just by looking you're a guy who LOOOOOVES a good fight so how about we cut the chit chat and get right to the good bloody mess?" Jack asked laughing hysterically as he swung at Delano's head

After pulling herself together, the group followed after Jericho and Adrian and to meet them in the front room. Irenia was talkative during the short trek, mostly about her mistake when waking up.

 

"...I said I'm fine, You were only half-awake when you cast the spell, anyway," Daena said. The only signs she showed now of being thrown against a wall was that she moved to rub the back of her neck occasionally.

 

"Sorry! I'm not used to sleeping on my own," Irenia replied, once again riding her tamer's shoulder. "I didn't expect to be woken up like that,"

 

"I was gentle!" Daena replied, sounding offended. "What did you expect, anyway."

 

"Usually I wake up whenever you come back," Irenia said.

 

"Wait, when I log out, you sleep?"

 

"Yeah. Well, this time it felt different. It's more like that one time when we had to fight that Land Jellyfish the first time."

 

"That guy actually did put us to sleep." Daena remembered the Jellyfish Invasion event from the game. The first time a player encountered a monstrous jellyfish, its aroma magically put the tamer and his or her partners to sleep. Daena had to get Irenia and herself protected by some sort of ritual that made them immune to the smell. Daena cocked her head to the side a bit so Irenia was visible out the corner of her eye. "Wait, what's different about the log-out sleep?"

 

"Oh that? I just fall asleep once you leave, and wake up when you return."

 

"Huh?" Daena replied. But before she could ask any more questions, they were in the front room already. Whatever preperations the two had to do seemed to be done, and all that was left was to actually set out on the journey. Daena took a deep breath, and turned to Josh.

 

"Are you ready to go?"

Josh nodded his head, his lack of sleep already catching up to him, and then gave a smile, "Yeah lets get going. Ave?"

 

At his partners call the Roc hopped off the perch he had been staying at and landed beside Josh, shoving hisbeak in his chest for him to be petted. Laughing at his silly partner Josh ran his hand over the Roc's beak and let the giant bird nip at his sleeves before turning to Adrian and Jericho, "So I guess this is good-bye? I suppose I should say thanks."

 

"Not until you get this," Adrian said handing both Deana and Josh what looked like a rectangular slip of paper which had a symbol written on it- Nomana Transport. This must've been the train tickets he was referring too ealrier last night. After some time travelling on foot they were supposed to go to a train station which would take them the rest of the way.

"Oh that's just great," Seline said scowling at the man who had just challenged Delano to a duel. It was just one person after another that was seeming to get on her nerves. The suprising thing was she normally was a very agreeable person, but lately it seemed as if Sir Irwin and herself was only getting to meet the worst or most stuck up kinds of people.

Delano looked around and saw the man "A duel ok" Delano said as he pulled out his lance in his right hand and his shield in his left hand. "lets see how well you do against a lancer" Delano said putting up his shield with his lance poking out as he advanced watching the man. "This may or may not take long. It depends on this guys skills" Delano said still watching the man

Jack's appearance had seemed to have drained all the energy and excitement out of the group. As the meal resumed no one said much and Rift still seemed on edge as if he was expecting the man to appear once more and possibly attack them. Evelyn hadn't let Flamme get too far away from her since the man had left as if keeping the small wyvern close offered her some sort of sense of security. Hours after he had left thoughts about him still plagued her mind. Since it had already been sun down when the day's events had started, it was now getting quite late. Evelyn figured she should probably get off to sleep soon though she didn't know what sort of nightmares she'd be having about the person they'd met.

"He honestly had no problem with killing another human. What kind of person is he?" she thought.

"Forget about it and get some rest. You're just going to get yourself panicked for no reason at this rate." Flamme said back to her. Evelyn nodded her head and attempted to get some sleep, though how well that was going to go, she wasn't sure.

Seline had stepped aside and watched the two as, even being on the outskirts, they were begining to attract a sizeable crowd. She didn't know weither to run off and find Sir Irwin or . . . or let the two idiots fight it out amongst each other until they were either sent to the inmermary or died. But the last option wasn't something she thought her master would like, them dying of course, after all he himself had been sent to the infermary more than once; so had Seline though she would rather avoid it. Taking a seat on a wooden fence she watched as the two circled around each other, looking for a single opening to begin with. Kiki and the hellhound were hissing and growling at each other as the two men continued their staredown.

 

"These two are going to get themsevles arrested," she thought.

The sensation of someone shaking her made Evelyn wake up from her sleep and look around at the bright sunlight which surrounded them. Despite having been so worked up over the man who had came into their camp the night prior she had either fallen asleep or simply passed out. Looking up she could see that it was Yaming who had woken her up, the young girl's wounds having healed faster than she had thought possible, and was smiling at her, "So you finally decided to get up? It's already past noon . . ."

 

"Is Evelyn awake yet Yaming?" Matsue called from the lake as she stopped swining a fishing net.

 

"Ys I just woke her up. I can't imagine how shecould sleep so long," Yaming called back laughing at her joke; she herself having already been awake for more than three hours, Matsue and Rift beating her by two more hours. While she helped Evelyn to her feet Eithal and Crystal walked by with a bundle of something wrapped in cloths towards Iceis, who was taking a long needed bathe in the lake, and Crystal loked over her shoulder at her, "Actually were we're from sleeping past noon is common . . ."

Delano Hopped onto Kikiania's back than he whistled. Kikiania Extended each of her 3 heads from different directions at the hellhound as Delano thrusted his lance between the gap between Kikiania's middle and right neck than to the next. "Bring it on" Delano said as Kikiania used her heads to bite the hellhound than toss it when she grabs the beast. Delano kept up his thrusts looking at the man watching his movements.
