"Of course that was my doing," Iceis said with a bit of a grunt, not letting Rift answer for her, and then beat her wings. Rift nodded his head before glancing over the Matsue and Eithel, "Yeah I told both of them."

"Eithal still not understanding the two Orai thingie man child speaks about, but he not from anywhere Eithal been that Eithal know for fact," the goblin said nodding his head and then walked over to Yaming and patted her on the head; possibly out of no reason at all. Matsue explained that Rift had saved her from a group of pirates and they had been travelling for over a month together now and that, despite being told he was from another world, Matsue seemed to have trouble grasping the concept herself, "But it's not like he is any different from me or Eithal. I mean . . . I just think of it as he is from another contentient completely."

"I guess you can think that," Crystal said nodding her head and then they saw Yaming sitting beside them out of the corner of their eyes. She scooted into the group and looked at Crystal and Evelyn, "So you two . . . your like this man here? You really aren't from this world are you."

"No thanks" Delano said staying by Kikiania's side "Me and Kikiania don't go anywhere without each other. That is our way we watch each others sides, backs, and front." Delano said as his lance shrinked to a pencil size. Delano looked out the opening in the train at the passing land. "Fast movement feels better when the wind in your face." Delano said than leaned his back against Kikiania than started to whistle a soft tune. While wishing Delano pulled out a deck of cards and started playin soliture with himself

Matsue and Eithal were now confirmed to be of this world. They didn't seem particularly put off by the idea of another world even if they didn't entirely get it. Yaming then questioned Evelyn and Crystal as to whether they were of some other world as well. Evelyn figured lying wouldn't do much good at this point. Though she was wondering how she might go about explaining it.

"I always sort of forget about the fact that you're not part of the world I live in. I remember you can't always be around but I guess I never really think of it in terms of another world. But at least I know about it." Flamme commented. It seemed more like he was thinking to himself and just happened to let Evelyn hear it. She didn't feel a need to comment. Instead she focused on what Yaming had asked.

"Yeah. You might be able to see why I may not have wanted to bring it up as it seems kind of crazy. And I guess you can see why I seemed so odd to you and the other students initially. It's really complicated, but while we're not from this world, we're familiar with it. Like in our world magic doesn't exist but you know I can use it... to some degree. I guess I could try and give an in depth description but it probably wouldn't make much sense." Evelyn said.

Daena sighed as she stood up , picking up her bows and reattaching then to their harnesses. "It's not like we can refuse our hosts, right?" Daena said. Similarly, Irenia flew over and landed on Daena's shoulder, her curiosity and excitement showing through her wings, which were flapping rapidly.

"Well, shall we see what what he wants?" Daena asked John. Her voice was muted; she wasn't sure what was going to happen, and she wasn't really looking forward to a fight; especially if her guess was true, and players trapped in this world could truly die...

John nodded his head, standing up, and walked with Deana out into the back yard. zIf you could call it a back yard. Taking a mere step outside the back door, which in itself was a grant sight, they could see an entire widespread grassland in front of them; Adrian commenting it was about six to seven miles of property. Adrian's father stepped out into the plaines and finally turned around, "Well come and show me how skilled your two really are. Adrian?"

"Yes sir," his son said stepping out beside him, a makeshift sword at his side, and turned back to face Deana and John. Getting a grin on his face John stepped out into the field and motioned for Ave to land beside him, "Alright I'm game."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh what's that!?" the young woman beside Sir Irwin said as she walked towards him. She squatted down beside him and watched the unusual game unfold in front of her. As he played he would occassionally look up, her dark purple hair swayed in the breeze that was coming from the moving train. A wave of the mage's hand suddenly and Kiki rose her heads, his voice calling from the cabin, "Now get in here from the engineers station . . . you're probably getting on his nerves as is."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Yeah I guess not," Yaming said while trying to hold back her laughter, knowing that it'd only hurt her sides. As they group let the wind blow at their faces something Rift had said earlier finally caught up with Crystal. Looking back up at him she then glanced back at Matsue and Eithal, finally letting her gaze rest on Evelyn. Crawling, since she was still too scared to stand up and walk, Crystal made her way to Evelyn and whispered, "Hey I just thought of something . . . How could he have been in the tournament and been in this world for months?"

Evelyn laughed a bit at Yaming's response to what she'd said. It was decently funny, at least with the circumstances. Though Evelyn had expected some sort of "you're crazy" reaction if she was to be perfectly honest with herself. Then Crystal came over and whispered to her about how Rift said he'd been in the world for months.

"I was thinking about that too. This isn't the game world to be sure. And I doubt the data of the game world could be exactly replicating every person in this world. In fact, didn't the towns seem a bit too realistically populated to you? I mean, at least if this really was the game world. There would be a lot less people I'd think. Something seems really odd. I'm pretty sure I've only been here since yesterday morning... months huh? Think we should ask him about it?" Evelyn said, whispering back to Crystal.

"You know I can hear you?" Rift said calling over his shoulder, having faced back in the direction they were flying, and caused both girls to jump. Crystal glanced at Evelyn and knew they were caught; though as an after thought she was suprised by how good Rift's hearing was. I mean . . . they were only whispering and the wind in his ear must've made it really hard to hear them. Nodding her head Crystal moved so her friend could ask.

"Its a game from the land in which i hail from. Its known as soliture" Delano said finish up his 1st game when kikiania woke up. Delano heard the man and he and Kikiania walked into the cabin. Delano set up for another round. "I take you people have not played any card games before" Delano said than started playing the second round of soliture. "Where i hail from this type of game and others are most common along many other things that may not be known in this land" Delano told the woman

With Delano setting up another round of solitare for himself the woman looked on with a facination, her eyes almost glowing with excitement, and she short of resembled a little kid at the moment. However the longer he played the more her expression changed from excitement to one of confusion, not being able to understand what the game was about or how to even play it in the first place. Changing seats the woman ploped down next to Delano and smiled at him, "I'm Seline. Can you teach me to play?"

"Sure, the rules are simple. There are 4 Suits Hearts, Spades, Diamonds, and clubs" Delano said laying down each ace "The idea is to get all cards of each suite in order from ace, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, jack, queen, king. With the ace at the bottom. But in order to start you must find an ace which you will need to move cards to match numerical order as with the win condition. However you can only put a Black card on a Red card" Delano said putting the 9 of spades onto 10 of diamonds "like so if you can't move anything you can than flip the top card of the deck than put it into a different pile and continue until you either find an ace in the deck or move one of the other cards onto the field." Delano said than pulled out a second deck and handed it to Selina "Normally easier if you play alittle bit than having someone trying to explain it"

Seline looked at the cards that had been given to her and then back at Delano, who was already begining to play another round by himself, and then set the cards down. She crawled over to him and looked up at his face with a smile, "Is there any games we can play together with these cards?"

As Seline continued to pester Delano Sir Irwin would continue to read the paper and then finally looked up, "You might as well play with her . . ."

He flapped open the paper and let out a small chuckle, "She won't stop messing with you otherwise, believe me."

Rift claimed he could hear them even when they were whispering so Evelyn decided on asking him directly.

"Okay then, if you've been listening then you must have heard what we were talking about. We were wondering about something that was brought up earlier. Specifically, how it is you've been here for months when the tournament incident that brought us here didn't happen until yesterday morning. This clearly isn't the same world we interact with from ours or else we'd have already been able to leave it. So how is it you've been able to be here in this actual world and interact with Matsue and Eithal before yesterday?" Evelyn said. The current conversation was most likely only making sense to Crystal, Evelyn and Rift but the info seemed important enough to ask about even if several people present couldn't follow it.

Delano chuckled "yes there are several i'll start with the most basic one called blackjack. The goal of the game is to get a total of 21 or at least beat the dealer's hand" Delano said than place 1 card facedown on both sides than 1 face up card on each. Revealing a 2 of spades on Delanos top and a Queen of diamonds on Seline's field. "Kings, queens, and jacks are counted as 10s and Aces can be treated as either 11 or 1. the number cards count as the number on the card. If you go over 21 you bust or you lose the round. If you see that you may want to take a chance to get another card you say hit, but you feel safe than you say stay" Delano said

"Alright," Daena said, with her eyes currently closed. No longer hesitating, she decided to do things as she always had in the game. It worked well for her so far... well, except during the tournament when she was pretty much defeated. As she opened her eyes she drew her crossbow from its harness, and aimed it at Adrian's father, who stood opposite of her.

"I'm going." As soon as Irenia heard Daena say those words, the fairy pushed herself off of Daena's shoulders and flew into the air above Daena. Let's start basic, Daena thought as she fired two bolts from her crossbow while walking backwards. It felt... different here than it did in the game, like it was second nature even though in real life there was no way she could aim accurately while walking. She adjusted quickly, though; there was a battle going on after all.

As the bolt flew through the air at Adrian's father he stooped down, making it fly over his head, and then charged forward. Spinning a short sword in his hand the man was faster than Deana could think possible for his age. Once he reached a good close up distance he clutched the weapon and swung downward, only to be countered by one of Josh's moves; Josh himself having semi-tackled Deana to the ground. Hutteling in the dark mist his tome had created they could hear Adrian's father stepping about, "So Deana what exactly can Irenia do?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having watched Delano set the cards down Seline got a big grin on her face and took the two cards, looking at them like he had said. Counting in her head she laughed, "Hit me!"
Slapping down a card Seline gave a very loud laugh and flipped the cards over, a perfect twenty-one! Trying to resist laughing more than she already had she gave Delano the cards back and asked if there was any other games she could play, Sir Irwin glancing and then shaking his head, "Seline our food will be here shortly."
"But I wanna play!" she complained back to him and, looking at Delano, gave a pouty face.
"I thought that was strange myself . . . at first," Rift said standing up, which caused Crystal to shiver, and then looked at the two from his world. Closing his eyes he could remember everything going black around him and then falling through the sky only to have, out of everyone on the entire planet, Iceis to catch him. It had been so surreal at the time he figured he was still in the game. Yet as the days progressed he was certain- this world was as real as the other. Opening his eyes Rift's expression hadn't changed, "I believe we weren't just transported into another world . . . but . . ."
"We were placed in different times," Crystal finished his sentance with a bit of an astonished look on her face, her hair flying around her as they continued to fly into the setting sun, and then looked at Evelyn, "I thought it was strange when you said you'd just got into this world. In fact . . . I've been in this world for a little over a week. So that has to be the reason."
"So man child and woman childs are from 'nother time and place?" Eithal asked crawling out of Matsue's lap and looking at them with curiosity. As he went to poke Evelyn in the nose Yaming pulled him back and her sight turned to her recent friends, "I think I understand what's going on now . . . but I think we might need to land first."
"Why?" Matsue asked innocently and turned red when Iceis blatantly told everyone she was tired of carrying them on her back, having done so for over two hours total now.
One bolt left, Daena thought to herself as she stopped moving in order to get a better bead on Adrian's father, who was now rushing right at her. He was too quick for her to attempt to fire with both herself and him in motion. When he got up close, she was preparing to fire before Josh pushed her to the ground to block the sword attack.
"Josh, what was that for?" Daena called out, before noticing that the two were now in a dark mist. Knowing that she was pushed to the ground before the mist appeared, Daena pulled Josh down with her. "Stay down," she whispered into his ear before reloading her crossbow with bolts from her housing unit.
Up above in the sky, green lights dispersed from Irenia in a spiral formation as the fairy pointed downwards into the magically created mist. The Wind Blade spell blew razor winds into the mist, which would cut up anyone inside. They didn't reach all the way to the ground, so that the two people laying on the ground would be safe.
Delano laughed "Seems like lady luck was on your side." Seline made her pouty face "We can play after ya eat. Not like the train is stopping anything time soon" Delano said than he took out a piece of paper than practiced his orgami though epically failing. "Curses what does folding paper have to so flipping hard" Delano said decide to just tear the paper into tiny little pieces than threw them into the trash "When shall we arrive at the next stop" Delano asked
As the wind blades created by Irenia flew into the patches of shadow mist the buzzing sound it created easily gave away her poition. Though they realized it neither Deana or Josh was going to be able to move to protect her, a fact which played heavily on Deana's thoughts, and they could hardly hear the opponents. A sudden blast of wind knocked the shadow mist clear off the field, also shoving Irenia towards her partner, as a giant Roc decended onto the ground; this Roc obviously not belonging to Josh, as Ave had been lying with them. Josh looked over to see Adrian's father beside the enormous beast, "So they do have the beast to match the crest . . ."
"I'll admit that was pretty sneaky children," Adrian's father exclaimed, not having heard Josh speaking, and unclasped a double sided axe from behind his belt. Looking over to his son he gave a nod and, albiet with a bit of hesitation, Adrian revealed a slim-lined sword before rushing at the two.
"We will arrive in Rylee by twilight tonight," Sir Irwin stated having watched Delano tear some paper before tossing into the repository. Waving his hand the shrapnel clung to each other and the tears repaired themselves, then the entire paper folded into a small animal, which slimbed out of the trash and in front of Delano, "If you fail at the first time . . . best not to just quite."
"Mmm hmm," Seline agreed through the sandwhich she had been eating, clapping in entertainment at Sir Irwin's small display of magic; the actual act having caught the attention of some of the children who were in the train.
Evelyn didn't know what to make of everyone having shown up in different places and times. It made sense. Otherwise Crystal couldn't have already been here a week, let along Rift for a few months, if she'd only been here two days. Yaming said she might understand what was happening but first there was a need to land. Iceis told the group she was tired. She had been carrying them all for some time now. Evelyn wasn't accustomed to her partner getting tired while they flied but then again Flamme only ever had to carry her. And though Iceis seemed to be a bit bigger than Flamme was normally, she was carrying five people, a goblin, and a downsized wyvern and had been doing so for two hours.
"Of course, let's land first. We can walk as long as we're a safe distance from any swarms of angry monsters." Evelyn said.
Having continued to fly for a couple more minutes it was Eithal, of all people, who spotted the perfect place to land; and what a spot it was! Everyone had been looking for a large open spot of land so Iceis could easily circle around to land, but Eithal had instead found the edge of an enormous lake that Iceis could glide onto. Nodding his head in approval Rift pointed out the lake to his dragon partner, who promptly began to decend and circle around it. Before she would physically touch the water the dragon got a grin on her face and, with a hard flap of her wings, bucked everyone off of her back and into the lake.
Okay, So a man on foot, and a bird to control the sky. An aerial assault is out. These aren't AI either; no tendencies to exploit...
Daena took a moment to observe the situation as she held Irenia in her arms. The fairy was battered, but not yet ready to give up. Unfortunately, Adrian was joining the fight, as well, and victory that much harder to achieve.
Looks like I'll have to use the Elder Bow.
She glanced at Josh, noting he was a caster. Daena herself was an archer. Neither of the two were built for prolonged melee combat. Daena began by firing a bolt each at both of the men attacking her. Irenia made her way onto Daena's shoulder and began preparing magic again while watching the opposing Roc.
"If you got any big spells in that book of yours, best use them now!" Daena said to Josh as she quickly latched the crossbow on her back. It was a sloppy job, and it would flail around as she moved, but it kept the weapon close. She then grabbed the Elder bow, drawing the bowstring back as she brought the bow itself in front of her, aimed at Adrian's father. Once again, the particles of light began gathering at the bow itself as the bright arrow of energy formed.
No sound was made as Daena released the drawstring, and let the arrow fly. She didn't have much time to charge, as the man was pretty much right in front of her. Thus the arrow wouldn't do much damage. Of course, if her plan had any success at all, her next arrow would be larger indeed.
The arrow of light pierced into the father's chest armor, but merely stopped there as he loomed over her with his sword above their heads. Swunging down he was suddenly blocked by Josh, who had pushed at the man's wrists, and deflected the sword to his side before slamming an elbow into the man's left shoulder; the force being enough to push him back. Getting into a stance he Held out his tome and used it to block Adrian, who had come from behind, "Deana whatever you have planned you might want to do it now."
"Those two aren't that bad . . . for being children and all," the mistress mused to herself as she and Jericho watched from the front door. She was particularly suprised at the young girl, who seemed to be able to read her opponent very well despite her age, and that weapon she was weilding so magnificantly seemed familiar in some fashion. Had she seen it before? But where. In a book, possibly?
Upon the attempt to land near the lake Iceis bucked everyone into the lake itself. The action angered Flamme who started flying himself when it happened so he wouldn't land in the water, and surprised Evelyn who was used to a much more considerate flyer in Flamme. Evelyn made her way to the bank and started ringing out the edges of her clothes and her hair as best she could. Flamme landed next to her within the minute.
"Remind me to never fly with anyone but you ever again Flamme." Evelyn said to her partner.
"You're okay right? Didn't swallow too much water or anything?" Flamme answered.
"Worried about me? Then again when aren't you worried about me?" Evelyn said.
"No, it's just that with all that clothing and hair it might have been hard for you to make it to the edge of the lake. I'm just making sure you didn't have too hard of a time." Flamme said.
"I'm fine Flamme." Evelyn said. Evelyn then looked around at the bank and thought about Yaming who wasn't in good physical shape. Panicking a bit she sent Flamme off to survey the lake to find her and help if at all possible.
"I swear I'll kill that dragon if anything happens to Yaming." Evelyn thought.
"Oh shush child," Iceis said, somehow managing to hear her inner voice, and crawle onto the bank with Yaming in tow. She was througholy soaked like everyone else, but she had a wide smile on her face and couldn't help but laugh. Getting to her feet she shook her head, getting Evelyn and Flamme wet once more, and held her sides as she laughed, "Well at least we wont have to bathe for the night."
"Speak for yourself," Crystal said still in the water, floating on her back, and looked at her friends, "I don't think I wanna get out of here. It's nice and cool . . ."
"I apologize for Iceis' actions. She can be a bit much at times," Rift said having been the only one to not be dunked into the water and looked at the drenched women; prompting him to turn around. Looking up at the sky Crystal and Yaming looked down to see that, despite having a good bit of cloths on, they were now hugging their bodies and they realized what he was getting so worked up about. Eithal and Matsue walked behind Rift's back and turned to the others, "Iceis has some cloths for us. So while we change Rift and Eithal will go collect fire wood, alright?"
"Ok woman child," Eithal said with a grin, not seeming to care about how they girls appeared, and then pushed Rift off so they could get wood for a fire.
