Tamers (Started/Accepting Via OOC)

Delano walked over to the food than looked at the food while Kikiania smelled it checking to be sure there was not any posion or drugs in the food. After they figured it was save they both took a eat chewing well tasting the food before swallowing making sure there was not a hint of posion or a drug in the food. "Ain't half bad though i still prefer being out in the wilderness eating. Being out in the wild not knowing when you are going to be is the best excitement for me. Of course fighting them off is the best part right Kikiania" Delano said as Kikiania continued eating than lifted her head and nodded in reponse

"Y-yeah, I'm coming." Daena said, shaking off the fact that John just kind of climbed over her to get out. Irenia let out an audible grumble as he did, finally starting to act like her usual self. Not noticing Adrian's outstretched hand, Daena lept out of the vehicle landing on the ground with a *thud*.

 

"Aaah, that felt good," Daena said, glancing at the carriage she just left. "I know that we got off on the wrong foot, but that ride was amazing!" She turned back to Adrian before continuing. "It was an experience for sure. It kind of sucks for getting from place to place, but it has a good... atmosphere, I think is the word. You can't get that kind of experience where I come from."

"It's alright hon," Andrew's mother said pulling Evelyn close to her chest. So close to the aged woman's heart now Evelyn was able to hear the rapid beat of her broken heart and she could tell the woman was just as frieghtened. Though in just as much panic Andrew's mother never showed it, she just held Evelyn close to her and told her everything you be alright. A sudden ruckus at the doorway made them both leap as a man, obviously Andrew's father, slammed the door shut and rushed over to the cabnets; his hands frantically shoving glass jars and other goods out to find something. Turning from the cuboard he looked at his wife, "Gladis where is my machete!?"

 

"It's out in the barn. What's going on? The beasts have never attacked like this, have they?" she asked, tears finally swelling in her eyes, and her husband shook his head. In all the years he has lived, having been born in the valley, he could not recall once that the creatures had done something like this. He had seen them raid before, yeah, but never so systematically . . . so hell bent on . . .

 

"Their searching," he finally said the relization that, if they were humans instead of beasts, it would be the first thing he'd think of. And now that both women thought about it, the way they went into each house, and how they didn't seem to be randomly killing anyone, was exactly like a search. The sudden yell of a Yowie snapped all three of them from their daze of enlightenment when next familiar roar reached Evelyn and then, a voice, "Evelyn get outside now! Flamme is getting pretty damned impatient!"

Adrian watched as Deana lept out of the carrage, forgetting her guests guesture to aid her, and he just set it back in his pocket. Watching as both of his guests admired his house Jericho headed towards the front doors and swung them open, allowing each inside at their own pace.

 

"So madam Deana," Adrian said walking up beside her as she explained that she would not have been able to get this kind of treatment where she was from, "Would you prefer a tour?"

 

"I would if you don't mind," John said with Ave cawing beside him. Giving a sour face Adrian gave a sigh and stepped into the doorway, "If you'll follow me."

"Oh come now it ain't poisoned or none of that," Elisa said as she handed out another round of potato soup. Sitting down herself she pulled the soup towards her and began to eat, while watching the two gusts eat as well. Shaking her head as both talked about being out in the wild and catching her own food she gave a sigh, "I suppose that might be a young man thing. But you two best be heading to bed, got a lot a work for you tomorrow- after all its going to be Friday."

"Ok" Delano said as he and Kikiania walked out the door and looked for a good spot outside to sleep. "See any good places to sleep" Delano said Kikiania as they both looked around. After coming to a tree Delano climbed up the Tree than looked at the night sky. "Its nice night" Delano said looking at kikiania than tapped the tree a few times. Kikiania nobbed than laid down infront of the tree than closed her eyes. Delano started to whistle a tune while looking at the night sky thinking about something.

"Ok" Delano said as he and Kikiania walked out the door and looked for a good spot outside to sleep. "See any good places to sleep" Delano said Kikiania as they both looked around. After coming to a tree Delano climbed up the Tree than looked at the night sky. "Its nice night" Delano said looking at kikiania than tapped the tree a few times. Kikiania nobbed than laid down infront of the tree than closed her eyes. Delano started to whistle a tune while looking at the night sky thinking about something.

IT was late in the after noon when Iceis landed in the middle of a town. " I think you where still tried, We had to fly all day to get here. Not like you at all." Rift said both worried and conserend. But with a quick growl from Iceis, they where dashed away. Ethril had fallen asleep, and matsue was trying to figure out where they where.

 

" Where are all the people!" Iceis sad suddenly worriered.

Looking up Matsue dropped her map and slowly moved behind Rift, not out of cowardice, but he could still feel her body trembling as the Yowie closest to them gave a howl.

 

"Oh noes!!!" Eithal screamed racing through the Yowie's feet and scrambeling up to Rift's body, clinging on it tihgtly, "Man child beat scary beast now, yes!? PLEASE!?"

 

The Yowie, having not spotted Iceis from it's angle, began to approach the two humans and scarred, plus now wet, goblin.

After dinner the two guests had raced outside and climbed a tree, hell bent on sleeping outside, and did not even bother to clean up after themselves. Walking outside Elisa took the back of an axe and slammed it into the tree, hard enough to make it shake, and knock Delano out of it. Once he looked up she tossed the axe back to its spot and tossed their dirty plates into his lap, "I ain't mind if you prefer to sleep outside. But you will clean up after yourselves, you hear?"

Waiting for the women to leave Delano jumped down the tree than got his lance and shield from Kikiania's back. Than practiced with his lance. Putting his shield infront and walked forward with his lance pionted out doing the shield advance. Delano started thrusting forward three times than threes times up. "Gonna keep skills sharp" Delano said to himself

Evelyn was truly touched by the kindness Andrew's mother was currently showing her. And then Evelyn was suddenly caught off guard by someone yelling at her to get outside. Under the circumstances it didn't seem like a smart idea, but the voice had mentioned Flamme and that drove Evelyn too it almost immediately. Though she wasn't going to be stupid about going inside. She used her Tamers system to draw Torrent for her defense. She carefully opened the door, got outside, and closed it before Andrew's mother could object. She turned around to see who had called out to her and what was going on with Flamme.

Having sneaked outside without Andrew's mother noticing Evelyn could see Crystal, suprisingly atop Flamme, and shoot arrows around the Yowie as they came closer; Flamme himself attacking any of the beasts that got near. To Evelyn's suprise the beasts didn't seem to be rushing her like the prior night, instead keeping back and reaching out quickly when they were given an opening, and Crystal glanced over once she saw her friend, "I think they're after us!"

Elisa looked at the plate with a sour face, seeing the saliva oozing down it's surface, and then went back inside. Watching from the window as she finished up her own duties she could see Delano practicing with his spear, only thrusting forward and up in sets of threes. With a grin she dried her hands and went into the basement, the rustling not being able to reach outside to her guest.

 

Repeating the motion for the eighth time Delano felt something speed behind his head and then heard a twang-like noise. Glancing to his right he could see an arrow, still moving back and forth, embedded in the trunk and then looked over to see Elisa with a grin on her face; in her right hand she had a long bow, "So you just think the enemy is going to come from the front and above you?"

The current situation left Evelyn with all sorts of questions. To name one: How did Crystal get out before her? Regardless, she didn't have too much time to think about it. The Yowie did definitely seem to want them, and staying where they could get her easily didn't seem too smart. She ran to her partner and Crystal, reading her spell in case she needed to use it to clear an opening, she had a feeling she would. She ran up and gave Flamme a hug, greatly relieved and happy to see him alive. She didn't have much time though so she had to get ready to fight their way out.

"If they're after us, then let's see if we can get them out of the town! Or at least away from most of the people. Unless of course you'd rather just try and get inside somewhere and let these things continue with their search." Evelyn said.

"Not really. Lances weakest is the normally the back which Kikiania her covers that weak spot" Delano said than walked over to Kikiania "Though normally i'm riding her back into battle though don't understand me i know how to handle my lance and to battle with it even when surrounded by enemies" Delano said than climbed on Kikiania's back who got on all four legs. Kikiania started to walk towards the edge of down. Delano clapped his hands twice than Kikiania changed into a full on sprint of out the town to the mountains which they came.

Elisa watched her young guest spring out of town on his partner, claiming that he would be alright, and gave a loud sigh. She didn't have the means to stop him, nor was it her place, but she still felt like he was getting in over his head going out into the world with such an attitude; a clear sign he was not fully aware of everything, thinking more centered on himself. Hearing some people calling her name Elisa turned back to her shop and began to take orders, already wishing her little chore boy didn't leave quite so soon . . .

"I don't think getting inside will change their minds," Crystal replied over her shoulder as an arrow flew from the bow. It was obvious that the Yowie were after them, possibly for attacking and killing one of their kin the night prior, and so no matter where they went the creatures would just follow. Though they were keeping them at bay right now the night was going to soon dawn upon them and they would loose the advantage of seeing clearly.

 

"I think we should get out of here!" Crystal called out, her eyes growing wide when she realized she was out of arrows, and a Yowie took charge. She couldn't duck or else Evelyn and/or Flamme would be hit instead and there wasn't enough time for her to warn them. Shutting her eyes as the beast's shadow shrouded her body there was a sudden feeling of electricity followed by a loud boom; someone's voice calling out a spell, "Levitas!"

 

A bolt of lightning wizzed overhead, knocking the Yowie out of the sky while singing it's fur as it slammed into its kin, and both girls looked over to see Yaming standing in the doorway; her bandaged hands holding a spellbook. She was still in a lot of pain from the earlier ordeal, but despite being completely covered in bandages she was still standing- willing to help her friends.

"Alright now that we are out of that town lets go find a river. If there is a water source that means there is also animals and plants nearby" Delano said to Kikiania. Kikiania nodded than started walking to the east seeing a small patch of green. "Good thing we ate before running out. That means we are at full strength to hunt" Delano said to Kikiania who released a lot teriffying roar that even the people in the town they left could here. Than Kikiania ran full speed at the patch of green ready for a good hunt

Daena stepped in following the others, however Irenia flew out of Daena's robe and tugged on her ear. Before Daena could respond, Irenia was already speaking her mind.

 

"I thought you wanted to find a way back to your home, right? You sure don't look like it... It seems like you're just enjoying yourself!" Irenia spoke softly as to not alarm the others, although Daena could tell that the fairy was angry.

 

Daena smiled to herself; indeed, she had gotten too wrapped up in the moment and wonder that she forgot that they are essentially aliens; not from this world at all. Daena paused for a moment, reflecting on what she would do, before following the others through the doorway.

 

Once there, Daena wasted no time in letting Adrian her circumstances, and perhaps reminding her fellow player of the situation they were in. "...Adrian, ...can I call you that?" Daena fumbled on her words a bit but recovered quickly. "Once again, thank you for your hospitality, and I intend to take you up on your tour, but I must let you know this. We are traveling to find our friends, and maybe find a way home." She knew that this may prompt more questions, but it's better than being passive as she has been. Irenia was glad that Daena was once again working actively, but sighed, preferring that she just leave this estate without a word.

 

"I apologize if you wanted us to stay for a while, but we can't. I... don't know what you want from us, and I'll try to help, but going home for us isn't as easy as you may think it is. We're not even sure what happened back then. I'm not even sure if code could even do this to us... of course, if we find that guy he may be able to clarify these things. After all,..."

 

"Daena!"

 

It was Irenia, screaming the loudest she has since the players were sent to this world. She glared at Daena, who could only sigh in response.

 

"So that's the gist of it." Daena said, calm once again. "Sorry for the info dump, I do that sometimes."

Adrian merely smiled when Deana asked if she could call him by his first name and grew ever more intrigued by what she had else to say. Hearing that they were looking for their friends and trying to get home he had assumed by the way they were acting however, much to his disappointment, Deana stated they could not stay with him for as long as he would like. Letting out a sigh once she apologized for telling all of this to him he took her hands and gave a polite nod, "If your time is short then let it be a pleasant one. I will personally use any means I possess to help you find your friends."

 

"Sir Adrian! Is that really nec-" Jericho began, an obvious pessimist about the strangers his lord had picked up off the side of the road, but was silenced with a mere glance from Adrian. Standing back up Adrian, weither he meant to or not, kept hold of Deana's hand and then turned to the others, "At least stay for supper."

 

"Well," John began, looking across the room at Deana and Irenia, then back at Ave, and finally back to Adrian, "I hope it wouldn't be too much trouble."

 

"None at all," Adrian said and then looked to Deana, "So shall I begin the tour? You can finish telling me about your missing friends along the way."

Heading towards the expanding planes Kiki gave out a roar, audiable even to those back in Tara, and galloped full speed. Delano was planning on attempting to find a stream, because a stream meant plants and animals, but as they continued to travell through the winding daylight all they could see was grasslands and, beside them to the south, were the train tracks.

"Sure, by all means let's go," Daena responded. She was glad that Adrian wanted to help out, even against the wishes of Jericho his bodyguard. He reminded her of Irenia in some ways, but she would not dare tell her that. The only that was odd at all was the fact that Adrian seemed to find ways to be close to her. At times it was a little uncomfortable, but Daena wrote it off as some cultural thing and just went with the flow, not wanting to offend their host.

 

During the tour she could slip back into her curious state of mind, and take in all the visual and audio information Adrian was giving her. From time to time she told Adrian some information about their situation, telling him of what little she knew of the others, though she only recalled the names of Crystal, Max (those kids who saved her, but might be hackers), Jake (that crazy eccentric programmer), and Rose (who seemed to have slipped off somewhere). She explained what happened (without saying that Tamers was a videogame, of course) from the tournament onwards, and letting Josh chime in to add whatever he wanted. Irenia stayed silent, as Daena figured she would, which was a shame since her input would have been useful, Daena thought. Daena was just glad that Adrian said that he was going to help, and wondered what kind of assistance he would provide.

Having nearly finished their tour of the estate, a grand one indeed, Adrian had listened and thought much about Deana and John's predicament; all the while he would explain a few things about his family, the estate, and a few things about Nomen itself. Thanks to him they were able to find out that Nomen's capital was a city by the name, a very hard name to pronounce, Aolani. Included in the information that Adrian mentioned about the country they had found themselves in was that in the eastern half of the country there was a wide expansion of train tracks which brought passangers to all but three of the settlements; Adrian mentioning the capital, Numees and Roxas being the three excluded.

 

"So you were in a tournament?" Jericho asked once Deana mentioned it in their shared past, the guards expression turning a bit sour as he looked down at them. Neither knew it at the time but exhibition matches between people and monsters was not approved of, which lead to underground illegal fights. Having heard the tone of voice his subordinate was taking Adrian looked back in anger, "Jericho dismiss the idea that these people are the kind who would participate in such an act."

 

"Y-Yes sir," Jericho replied a bit standoff-ish as his master ordered him to drop the thought, though it still nagged him in the back of his mind. Tournaments were illegal for the most part, yet these children had discovered one and actually participated in it? Very suspicious says he.

 

Walking down the stairs Adrian was confronted by another of his many servants, this one being the eleventh that Deana had counted, and told him that his mother and father, the servant having stated 'the mistress and headmaster', were waiting for him and company in the grand dinning room. With a smile he let the servant go and turned to Deana, once again either forgetting or ignoring John, "Shall we eat?"

 

"Yeah I'm starving!" John called out and then looked to Ave, "What about you boy?"

Daena mentally berated herself as Jericho called her out for participating in a tournament. She wondered if it sounded barbaric to these people, especially with the way Adrian dismissed the subject. Still, he said to drop it, and she was not about to add fuel to the fire.

 

The prospect of food, however, was another matter altogether. One of the reasons Daena wanted to collect money was so they didn't have to beg for scraps of food. Even Irenia showed herself at the prospect of a meal, and was flying around in the area above Daena's head.

 

"I can go for that," Daena said, nodding excitedly. "I wonder what kind of food you have here..."
