[spoiler=Backstory]Advance City... A great metropolis in the pacific. Famous for it's perfect lifestyle, it always has a crisp atmosphere with the sun beaming down on everyone. With amazing architecture, no crime, it is a famous destination. As perfect as it is, it has a secret to it's perfection. The half of this city that is covered by a giant laboratory has created a series of 'Miracle Injections'.

 

SPH4 is a strange chemical created within Advance City's labs, developed to enchance the human body. SPH4 was a success, created by James Yunick. It allows a human to surpass most illnesses, live much longer and have keener senses and strength. With an enitre city full of these 'upgrades', the city has been kept perfect. SPH4 contains a series of lab-created cells, one of which stop the heart while one goes to the brain, with the others pulsing throughout the body. Eventually, after the cells begin to reproduce, the brain restarts the heart, and the blood is mixed with SPH4. SPH4 was then injected into every citizen of Advance City. Each citizen was 'tagged' with the batch they received, their batch ranging from SPH4 TA9L to SPH4 Q8J3, as from then on, the batch was changed. However, despite the extra strength and senses, crime is not tolorated. The authorities are linked to a supercomputer, and so they can see anyway through CCTV cameras, and can report crimes instantly. Once caught, the criminals are injected with RPT7, a killer chemical that killed 2.8 seconds after making contact with the blood. This chemical, however, only kills SPH4 cells, which the body becomes dependant on a week after the injection. With this, and a mind-control cell injected into every authority, the mayor aged 194 and in perfect health, peace is kept.

 

Micheal Terrin was the delevoper of the cells that boosted strength within the body. A respected scientist, he decided to furthur upgrade SPH4 by giving unearthly powers to those injected. After years, he managed to create a prototype, PAS7, which was tested on a series of people. The tests were successful, with the recipents gaining the ability to control the elements, fly, gain superhuman strength and much more. Micheal, enticed by this breakthrough, he injected himself with every prototype of PAS7, and this caused an explosion as he burst with his new powers. He was killed in this incidident.

 

Jane Peters was the next big name in the development of SPH4. Micheal had proved that SPH4 could be upgraded to do so many more things, so Project Starlight had begun. Focusing on improving the prototype of PAS7 to be compatible with SPH4, as the two mixed would kill instantly, this project was soon called off. Jane, a rookie at the time, had decided to see the effect of PAS7, and found that it had a negative effect on the minds of those who were injected with the chemical. They had much shorter temper, becoming stubborn and prone to destroy almost everything. In the end, they were all injected with SPH4 to kill them. Jane had realised that to save the rest, she would need to calm them down somehow, so she began to work on a counter-drug, RGC3. It was a success, it would give those who took it complete control over their body and mind. The only drawback was that you could try and preform acts that your body knew was impossible. A squad was set up and they decided to test this on PAS7. It was a disaster. When mixed, it would create a deadly acid that slowly ate the organs and skin, death taking over 10 hours while the victim was in pain. Jane was discredited for this, but she decided to make another counter for 'RFS9', which she claimed to have unintentionally created.

 

The counter was never finished, and she was injected with a heavy dosage of RFS9. In the last moments of her life, while the killer went free, she perfected her old project. SSD6. She was found dead, slumped over her desk, skin thin and leaning on a plastic container with a sheet explaining the labels or the 10 injections inside. SSD6 was completed. Jane's husband, a regular citizen vowed to test and perfect SSD6. With this vow, he injected himself with one of the chemicals Jane had left behind. To his suprsise, it was a perfected version of PAS7. His mind was in perfect condition, with the perfect control given by RGC3, only with the physical limitations. He had a strange power to heal his body extremely quickly, and he could make complex surgury on a patient in under 10 minutes with mere physical contact.

 

Kyle Peters survived several assassinations, and it was revealed what was happening. PAS7 had been revived. It had been upgraded, with the powers greater than ever. Kyle went to the laboratory and asked to mass produce SSD6. They used the same batch coding as PAS7, now XPS8. It is unknown what happened to these batches. After that, Kyle Peters dissapeared.

 

The coding for the batches are just abreiviations with a fitting number at the end.

[spoiler=Plot]Micheal's death is now doubted. It is unknown wether he was really killed, but those inflicted with XPS8 are now running amok. Advance City is being turned to rubble, and they have no option but to expose their secret. What will you do?

 

[spoiler=Plot Part 2]Four people were backing into a sparking wall, while a figure steped towards them. He was obviously injected with XPS8 as water was gushing out of his hands. He created a wave that charged at the wall, and all but one jumped out of the way. The one what remained behind was killed instantly, shocked by the electrified water. SImilar battles were taking place, with people being killed by the second. One of the survivers leapt onto the one with XPS8, who threw him off before drowning him with his hands. Two were still alive. They began to run, but a wave swept them back as the killer contiued to charge. He made a wall of water to crush the two. The wall was soon falling onto the two as they were grabbed and rushed out of the way. The battles and scerams in the distance had faded.. Two mysterious figures were now on the scene, one on a wall, the other standing behind the one with XPS8. It was clap of thunder, the man was bowled to the ground as he was zapped, finished with an injection to the heart... They had just killed this batch..

 

Those who have been inflicted with XPS8 are now known as 'Akin', with the group battling them calling themselves the 'Nurses'. A war might begin..

Appearance- Average height and average weight. Face is a mix of many different cultures, the most prominent of these being Irish, German, and Italian. He's broad-shouldered and slightly muscled, and his blond hair is cropped short. Usually wears scuffed blue jeans and a loose, button-down blue shirt.

Bio - David is very good at running away from problems, which makes it fitting that he was injected with LYS7. David has moved several times during his life, mostly from angry girlfriends, bosses, or other. Its not that hes a coward, he just gets a little antsy when things are a little too hot, if you get my meaning. His most recent move has been to Advance City, where he was injected with LYS7. When the outbreak of XPS8 happened, David found himself wanting to run away, but after seeing all the death around him, David felt something awaken inside of himself and decided to stay and help in anyway he could, which is how he met the Nurses.

 

[spoiler=SDD6 AFT0]Name- Jason Clawborne

Age- 32

Appearance- Jason is six feet tall, and weighs 157 pounds. He has light brown hair (contrary to the image) and piercing blue eyes. He usually wears a nice suit, usually black or dark blue in color. His ties vary from day to day, and each tie is completely different from the last. Jason wears glasses, but only for reading. Sometimes, he wears, more casually, a pair of jeans, a white shirt, and a leather jacket.

Bio:

Jason was a gifted man: he had graduated top honors at Oxford English University, and had a Masters' Degree in English Literature and Physiology and Psychology. Four years after he graduated, he was hired over to a small university, in a city he had never heard of: Advance City. Eager to teach and make his mark on the world, Jason accepted. One week later, he moved from Oxford, England to Advance City, U.S.A. He was quickly set up in the university. Nobody knew his first name; it was always "Professor" or "Professor Clawborne."

 

One Friday after class, Jason was grading some late papers when two men in suits entered his room. Upon learning of their intent, Jason went with them. They took him to a small black car, and he was pushed in, forcefully but gently. Jason took note that the windows were completely tinted, and he could see nothing outside. After a half-hour, the car stopped. The men instructed Jason to apply a blindfold to himself. He did so, not wanting to anger them. Then, they led him somewhere. When they pulled the blindfold off of his eyes, Jason saw that he was in a small room. He was facing a table, which he was instructed to sit in. He sat on it, and soon after, a man in a white lab coat entered. He told Jason that they were just giving him an "extra vaccine for a rare disease prominent in this city." Jason nodded, and the man pulled out a syringe. He approached Jason, and inserted it into his arm. A searing pain immediately spread through his arm, and Jason passed out.

 

When he woke up, he was lying against a garbage can, outside. A plastic bag was over his head. Jason stood up, and immediately noted one thing: he was standing on four legs. He panicked, and, with some effort, pulled the bag off his head. As soon as the bag was off, Jason ran over and looked at his reflection in a puddle. He had been changed into a Timber Wolf.

Age- 36

Appearance- Kyle has sharp green eyes with dark skin, with a grey stubble and cropped hair. He wears a ripped white shirt and a tan jacket with faded jeans.

Bio - Kyle is the husband of the historical scientist Jane Peters, and injected himself with SDD6, destroying the supply of one batch type before mass-producing the rest, keeping the most powerful originals, before locking them away. He is extremely powerful with his powers unknown. He is the current leader of the Nurses.

 

[spoiler=XPS8 ????]Name- Micheal Terrin

Age- 43

Appearance-He has a badly scarred face, with one deep gash running diagonally along his head. He has bloodshot red eyes under a pair of dark sunglasses with a bald head. He wears a blue tank top and cargo pants over a heavily built figure. Due to spending most of his time inside an underground lab, he has white skin, making his clothes stand out.

Fraction - Akin

Bio - A scientist presumed to be dead, he created the old PAS7 before upgrading it to XPS8. He captured a large amount of people, injecting with with XPS8 to take his revenge over Advance City, who turned their back on him and PAS7. He occaisionally appears in the city to inject more people, but he leaves the fighting to his slaves.

Age- 25

Appearance- Ryan has soft brown hair with round blue eyes.

Bio - Ryan was an easygoing child, making a lot of friends and smiling for most of his life. He left to join Jane's team, until she was killed and he resigned. He's fought the Akin, and after seeing his parents murdered during a visit, he decided to make a variant of SDD6 to take revenge. He carries a range of weapons inside his motorcycle, and is ready to take on anyone trying to destroy Advance City's peace.

[spoiler=XPS8 IPS6]Name- Rodney Lambert

Age-16

Appearance-Has black hair and red eyes. He has dirty torn pants and a leather jacket, He keeps his hood up and wears a ski mask to hide his face from those who see him.

Injection Type- IPS6 - Superhuman Strength

Injection Batch ID- XPS8 IPS6

Fraction -Other

Bio - He was an orphaned child who was kidnapped and injected with XPS8. After this injection, he was injected with IPS6. This however was thought to be a failure because Rodney's pulse was stopped instantly and he was moved to the morgue. He awoke in the morgue and escaped into the alleyways. He remained hiding in the alleyways and sewers until the XPS8 hosts started their rampage. Upon seeing this destruction, Rodney vowed to destroy these new hosts and the scientists that made him into this monster.

 

 

 

 

This story will eventually be turned into a book-like format thingie, so yeah..

Micheal was strolling through the ruined streets of Advance City. He was going to cut off all links to the lab before taking it out in one quick attack. He stepped over a dead body, laughing. He had complete control over Advance City. He had enough forces to overwhelm Kyle Peter and his group of fighters. Under the pale moonlight, he scurried away, looking to convert more people...

Peter watched as two Nurses battled each other, one using fire to trap the other while he used lightning to stun the other.

 

"Jake, strike at every opening!" He shouted and the one using lightning frowned, using the gaps in the flame to strike his opponent.

 

"Sasha, concentrate your blaze!" Peter shouted to the girl Jake was fighting. She complied, pulling the flame bursting out of her hands back before firing it in one beam. Jake was struck to the ground, battling the fire before rolling away and sending a ball of electricity at Sasha, blowing her away and hitting into a cave wall.

Two figures were sleeping on a metal wall, snoring before another person sped past them, waking them up as they looked around.

 

"Hey, runt!" One of the once-sleeping people shouted. "I'm Gray, and I'll tell you how things work around here." He shouted. "One... DON'T WAKE ME UP!" He shouted. He grunted, stretching. "Honestly, I know we have to destroy the lab and all, but these new ones are letting me have only 20 winks." He murmured, laughing at his own joke. The new one groaned. Things were going to be... Annoying.

 

Advance City/Nurses HQ/Akin Hideout - Roleplay Start

 

Ryan swerved on his bike, his knee just above the ground as he sleepily rode through the streets of Advance City's slums. He soon parked his bike in a wooden garage before walking into a steel house that he shared with a group of other people. They woke in their sleep, crawling over to Ryan. He picked up an infant, grinning as he pulled a bag out of his motorbike. It contained a variety of food, including burgers, seafood and noodles. He gave the infant to her mother before throwing a burger into his mouth. It was a hard time living nowadays..

Sweat rolled down David's face, sticking to the helmet visor and clogging his vision. With a violent shake, David shook the sweat away. He was finding the whole jumpsuit and helmet outfit very uncomfortable, but he wasn't about to complain. David looked over at a window in a wall, where a demure black-haired lady in a lab coat was watching him. She raised her eyebrows and spoke into a microphone-"You ready, David?" David nodded and looked down the tunnel that spread out before him. It stretched right out into the darkness, but David wasn't afraid of it. On the contrary, he was feeling rather excited. "Ok then...3...2...1" The woman hesitated and started a stopwatch. "...Go!" Like lightning, David shot down the tunnel at nearly the speed of light. The brick walls blurred as David raced forward, exhilarated, and he let a loud "Yahoo!!!" that echoed around him. (The black-haired lady rolled her eyes at that.) Suddenly, a light opened up in front of him. The end of the corridor. David could stop now, but he didn't feel like it. He raced out of the opening and into the open city street. He sped down the road, spun around a stop sign, and back into the tunnel again. He reached the window in double-quick time. The black-haired woman was waiting for him, looking amused. He pulled to a stop right in front of her, pulling his helmet off and grinning. "How'd I do?" David asked, breathless. The woman smiled and said, "3.12 seconds down a 500 meter tunnel. Your best time yet."

Peter had moved and was watching the ones with LYS7 dashing along, exiting into some city and coming back underground. The fatest were still unknown, so they were competing, racing each other for the most part. He laughed. The newer, slower ones were racing ro become faster, while some of the older ones were running, much faster than the others, but not so much... Dedicated. He walked away, going to check how the animals were doing. He remembered that he still had to prepare their dinner... That'll have to wait.

David felt like someone was watching him and looked up, seeing Peter. He cracked a grin again. He knew the leader of the Nurses of old. Barely pausing for a "See ya" to the woman, David accelerated up the stairs into the bridge overlooking all the training tunnels. In barely a second, he had caught up with Peter. "Hey Peter," He said breezily, hands in his pockets. "Whats going on with the all so mighty leader of the Nurses?"

Peter turned to face David. He chuckled. "I might not be so mighty anymore. Old age." He grinned. He sat down on a banister. The cave was a giant area dug under the ground, with many tunnels and bridges holding them above a giant lake. "Well, I have to say this. You're easily one of the fastest we got. I'm looking for a team to go get more Nurses. You want in?" He asked, standing back up and pulling out a sheet of ripped paper. He pulled a pen out of his pocket as he waited for David's answer.

David laughed at Peter's answer, then grew serious when Peter gave him the piece of paper. "Yes, we need to find more Nurses." David said seriously. "I've scouted the Akin's base, and they definitely have more people than us." David looked down at the paper. "Not many names here..." He muttered as he signed the paper.

[Kaisu]

"Yeah.. With them patrolling Advance City, we need to get in, and well.. Use some drastic measures. THey're not gonna go into the lab anytime soon, so the plan is to grab them, get them into the lab, change them, and then... Well, we might need to battle our way out." Peter informed, still uncertain about wether he should go through with the plan or not. "Anyway, I want the elite for this mission. You're easily one of the fastest runners, so get some of the other fast ones and try getting them into this. I've got a couple people who are an ace at injecting people, so yeah. THey were scientists before... Also, we need to make sure the batch of SDD6 matches their DNA type.." Peter continued, explaining about every aspect of the mission. "Also, there's a chance we might meet Micheal, so I'm going to be directly controlling this mission."

A brown wolf, with shaggy hair, walked up and onto the bridge from a street below. It walked over, and five feet before it reached the two men, it morphed into a human. Now, standing in a dark business suit, Jason reached up and straightened his tie. After he was satisfied, he walked slowly up to the other two men. "You are the other Nurses, I presume?" They look like they are both younger than me; I would say by about...seven or eight years. Interesting. I thought they had only taken people who were around my age. I guess I was wrong.

OoC: Sorry bout that. Gotta eat sometime.

 

IC: David was about to respond to Peter, when suddenly a wolf walked up to them. Five feet before reaching them, it transformed into a man in a suit! "Jason," David said. "You come to join the patrol?" Then, David turned back to Peter. "Yeah, I got a couple of men who would probably join us," He said.

Jason nodded at David. I wonder why I did not recognize him immediately before...or Peter, for that matter. It must just be the situation; I am stressed, and the stress is making it harder for me to perceive things...Yes, that sounds like it. "Indeed...I will join you on patrol. I find my particular...gift to be extremely helpful in patrol situations, with its superior senses of smell and hearing. Not to mention the endurance; I could run for hours on end without tiring...Sorry, I am sure I interrupted something. I heard you say something about new members, David?"

OoC: I'm pretty sure that was four lines, but I'll post longer anyways.

 

IC: David nodded at Jason. "Yeah, we're going to look for potential members during the patrol." David gestured at Peter. "Peter here also thinks we might meet Michael on this little trip, so we're getting all the people we can for it." He grinned at Jason. "You game for hunting down some new Nurses?" Hopefully Jason would come. He was the most skilled animals transformers.

So...a recruitment, a hunt, and a patrol. Quite the mission we'll be going on. I just hope that I'll have something to do...running around the city gets quite boring after you've done it hundreds of times. "Yes...I will join you and Peter on patrol...especially if we are getting the chance to meet Michael. Then I would finally have something to do other than just running around and sniffing things. My nose can do much better." And my nose will also be able to detect Nurses...or at least people. And I am sure that that will be very helpful indeed.

"Well, I gotta get a meal ready." Peter said before walking away.

 

Ryan was sleeping, snuggled inside a small sleeping bag. He woke several times, looking around. Eventually he stood up and wheeled his bike outside. He checked his watch. It was 9:36 already. He put on his helmet and put his leg over the motorbike, revving it up before taking off. He saw smoke in the distance, so he began to race towards there. Tilting his bike, he managed to catch a glimpse of what was happening. Someone was burning the house. He leapt off his bike and pulled out a twin-bladed dagger, catiously approaching the Akin.

OoC: Oh, sorry, looked longer in the 'post a new reply' screen.

 

IC: David was sleeping in his bed when he heard something move outside his window. Reflexes born of several years dodging Akin brought him to his feet, and he cautiously looked out his window. What was Peter doing outside at this hour-oh. David could see the bike. He nodded sagely. Everyone went out for a midnight ride at least once during their time as Nurses. It helped relieve the stress, or at least for a little while. David was about to stretch out and fall down into his bed when he saw the smoke. It was coming from a building some distance away...what was going on there. Huh. Seemed like Peter was actually going to check it out. Torn between accompanying him and going back to sleep, David decided to fall back asleep. If it was any problem yawn Peter... would tell... him about it... Snore...

Jason, who had never been able to sleep much because of the ability to transform into a wolf, which is largely nocturnal, Jason was up and about, prowling around the city. At the moment, he was a wolf...Suddenly, a stinging stench hit his nose. Smoke! Turning his ears, he heard the roar of a fire. Growling, he began running towards it. I'd better wake the others. I don't know if they've seen it or not...but I've got to make sure. While he ran, Jason raised his head, and let out a bone-shatteringly loud howl. He continued howling, listening as it echoed through the city.

[Kaisu]

[One thing - How could you see the bike/smoke? You're underground.. Jason, I can understand..]

 

Ryan gulped. He could be toasted. Gathering his courage, he leapt out at the Akin, striking him down and reaching around to stab his heart. He was pushed away and a lasso of flame circled over him, retracting as whip-like rope of flame burst out of his fingers, about to hit Ryan. He rolled away before leaping up, ignoring the pain in his singed clothes as he tried to hit the Akin again. Failing, he backed away, jumping onto his bike as he circuited around the Akin. He charged foward, drifting out to the side at the last moment and lunging at his chest. The dagger sunk into his chest. Breathing heavily, Ryan backed away as the body burst into flame.

Jason kept howling, and arrived at the building just as Ryan sunk a knife into an Akin's chest. The body burst into flame, and the ashes were blown away by wind. A fire-manipulating Akin...And by the looks of it, he was pretty powerful. I'll have to be careful. Quickly, Jason shifted to his human form. He walked towards Ryan, and leapt out of the way as a beam fell. "Ryan!" he shouted, trying to be heard over the roar of the flames. "We've got to get out of here, now! This place is going to collapse, and I know you and I both don't want to be in it when that happens. Come on!"

OoC: He was sleeping aboveground, ready for the patrol/recruitment to begin. Maybe I should include that...

 

"Gah!!!" David fell out of bed. Owooo... What was that noise? Suddenly, David's sleep-muddled brain began to work, and he could remembered that was Jason's warning call! So there is a problem at that smoking house! David leapt off his bed and over to the opposite wall, where a two handguns were waiting. Moving swiftly, David loaded the handguns, strapping them into holsters around his shirt. Then, he jumped out his window, landing softly on the ground. Racing like a lightning bolt, he aimed for the burning building. I wonder whats going on? David had a nasty feeling he wasn't something good. EDIT: As he approached the scene, David saw two men standing there, looking over something. One shouted at the other something along the lines of getting away, and David suddenly saw the building was...collapsing!

Ryan looked up. He had seen this person before. That's right.. He's one of those Nurse people... Either way, I've gotta get outta here. Ryan thought grimly as he stood his bike and drove through the flames. He closed his eyes shut as he felt his arms burning. He kicked down the stand as he slowed down.

 

"Well.. That's another one of them down." He breathed. "And no, I'm not going to get one of those injections." He said coldly before driving away. He knew that some of them wanted to recruit him.. He wasn't going to give them that pleasure.

Jason spun around, and watched the kid ride out of the building. "Hey!" he shouted. He started running after Ryan, the heat from the flames making sweat fly from his face. Suddenly, there was a huge CRACK!, and a beam fell from the ceiling. Jason looked up in time to see the beam smash into his head. He fell to the ground with an umph, and immediately blacked out...

 

Jason opened his eyes, and saw that he was in his classroom. He looked at the clock, and saw that it was his preparation period. He had about fifteen minutes before his students would come into his room. Jason looked around. He hadn't been in that room in almost four months. Being a Nurse had kept him busy. David saw Jason the moment the beam fell on him. For a second forgetting where he was, David raced over to Jason and looked him over...good. He was okay...but he was knocked out. David looked up and saw the building failing down around David and Jason. We have to get out of here! David thought wildly, and he began to drag Jason towards the door, hopefully before the flames did...David saw flames licking up the doorframe...the door was ready to collapse beneath the weight of th building... David had to move, and fast! David grunted and pulled on Jason again, but they were going too slow... only a little way to go...no, they weren't going to make it...David didn't know where he found the strength. But suddenly, David was able to drag Jason like he was a feather, and he pulled Jason out of the door. A second later, the whole building collapsed. Panting, David looked down at Jason. Wow...he really was out...

Ryan, who was now clear of the flame, looked back to see more of the building falling down, crashing onto the ground as the structure was weakened and burnt away. He spun around and drove back to his home. Peter had been watching this and saw Jason getting hit. He ran into the building, smashing through the door as he searched for the room where Jason and David were. He moved more carefully, making sure not to damage the frame any more. He soon found the two. "Come on! Get out of here!" He shouted at them.

IC: "What?" David panted, unable to move. The sudden burst of strength had taken its toll. "When did you get here, Peter?" He wheezed. David looked down again at Jason, who was dead to the world. David suddenly felt worried about Jason, and started shaking him. He did not wake up. "What's wrong with him?" David asked. "I saw a beam hit him, but I didn't think it hit him that hard..." David looked up at Peter. "Do you know what's wrong with him?" He asked.

Jason looked around his room again. This time, he noticed some small changes. Like: there were posters of wolves on the walls. Jason could never remember putting those up. And...and the door was blown in. All of a sudden, there was a large explosion, and Jason had to duck beneath his desk to keep from getting crushed. When he came back up, the whole place was in flames...But the flames were receding, as if he was being taken away from his room...

 

Jason opened his eyes, and looked into the concerned ones of David. Jason pushed himself into a sitting position, wincing as a sharp pain shot through his skull. Jason gasped at the intensity of the pain, and after a minute, managed to stand up. "What...what happened?"
