We should have had more time to get acquainted with them rather than have them within five minutes reveal the truth. I actually liked the idea of the new, multi-coloured Daleks. It's all sleek and modern-ish, which reflects the Beeb's change into HD.I can't really judge the Smith Doctor yet, as he hasn't had a proper chance yet. I mean, we all felt that way about Eccleston and Davison, and they're two of the best Doctors. My hope for this and future series is: More Monster Returns. A template set by the First Series is to bring back the Classic monsters, be it in Televisual Format, or on paper. A quick list of monsters that have returned in the show since 2005:Autons (First seen in Spearhead in Space, 1970)Daleks (First seen in The Daleks, 1963-64)Dalek Emperor (First seen in Evil of the Daleks, 1967)Cybermen (First seen in The Tenth Planet, 1966). The Cybusmen are essentially returning monsters themselves, as they have appeared in every Cyberman story since the revival. So, really, it's just the concept of Cybermen that has returned, not our universe's Mondasian Cybermen.Cyber Controller (Tomb of the Cybermen, 1967)Macra (The Macra Terror, 1967)The Master (Terror of the Autons, 1971)Zygons (Terror of the Zygons, 1976)Sontarans (The Time Warrior, 1973)Davros (Genesis of the Daleks, 1974)Dalek Supreme (Dalek Masterplan, 1965-66)Time Lords (The War Games, 1969)Not to mention all the Monsters that have been mentioned, such as the Ice Warriors, the Eternals, the Great Vampires, Axons and Sea Devils. And now, the Silurians are going to come back from their 16 year hibernation, hopefully along with the Sea Devils. And the Great Vampires might make a return in "Vampires in Venice". Then there was the rumour that the Kandy Man from 1988 would be the Series' main villain, but this was just a joke. Shame.
