Sky City -remake( Pg-16/Started/Accepting)

Cultin sighed, watching as the dome of flames disappear. But, to them, he had gone. Of course, that was before Nico was sent flying, two Lances gripping his shoulders. He was unharmed, but unable to fight. Cultin turned to Paradox. "Now, do you really wish to fight? They can't hurt you at the moment and you could start anew." Cultin explained, three lances falling from nowhere, all aimed at Paradox. "Now, please accept my offer. I'm not even at haslf my power, and I dont wish to go to full, so please, dont make me fight anymore."

"As am I, mein fraulein," Paradox replied to Cultin's offer, "Unfortunately for us, I can't simply stop until you submit or until I become bloody mass on the ground. Either one would be acceptable for me. You see, I really don't care whether I am successful or not. Both outcomes are perfectly acceptable. Now then, that's enough talking out of me."

 

Paradox pulled out an iPod from his pocket and put a song on full blast, so everyone in the immediate vicinity could hear the music. The song playing was "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen.

 

"Yea...Let's do this to some funky beats!" Paradox said before jumping high directly vertical.

Joey's eyes widened as she was pulled by Jason. She couldn't think because it all happened so suddenly. She could run on her own, but to be honest, she didn't want to let go of Jason's hand. She felt safe, though she would never admit it. As they continued running, they approached heavier rain. Joey's hair was wet and she almost slipped on mud as she ran. Before long, they had reached the town.

Nico blinked not sure what had happened. All he knew was that now he could not move. "Informaton regarding Cultin...Incomplete. Iniciating reboot and data collection." Nico muttered fromhis position. Instantly, Nico's head fell limp, as the chip was no longer on. Trinity, bit her bottom lip forcing herself not to run over to Nico. He didn't seemed to be hurt, so for now that was good enough for her. She then saw Paradox jump high in the air. "Cultin do you want me to help you?"

Jason hastened his beat as he heard some old music start playing from the town. "Come on!" he said, pulling Joey along. He continued running faster, his feet subconsciously hitting the ground to the beat. He panted, and shook his head to clear it of rain. Soon, he and Joey reached the town. He ignored that he could see no one, but continued running, until they came upon a small group of people (the above users) in what appeared to be a battle. Jason skidded to a halt, and watched curiously. "Do...do you have any idea what's going on?" he asked Joey.

"Stay back trinity. Go help Nico, the Chip just fell to the floor." Cultin shouted, waving his hands so the lances on Nico fell away. Then he noticed two people watching the fight. "You two, stand back. This guy is dangerous." Cultin shouted, just above the music. He loved this song, but it wasn't the time for music. He waved his hands, creating seven lances in the air. They shot forward, aiming for Paradox. Cultin was also running at Paradox, his lances behind him.

Ooc: Magnet, the chip isn't going to be destroied this early. I still want there to be at least two evil people. I thought that would be better for the plot.

 

Trinity nodded and stayed back as Cultin. She wanted to go over to Nico but knew that with his mind like it was, it would be best if he wasn't with them right this moment. But don't worry Nico. We'll be together soon, that I promise. Trinity then turned her attention to the two people who just happened to stumble upon this little scene. She walked over getting out of Cultin's way. "You two look familar...Have we met before?..."

Paradox was on the way down when a volley of lances flew towards him. Paradox gracefully spun past them, flitting through the gaps between the lances, taking one to use as a weapon. Paradox then slowed his landing so he would land gracefully on his toes. Cultin was dashing towards him with yet more lances ready to impale him. Paradox let Cultin get close and when he got within stabbing distance, Paradox quickly pole vaulted over Cultin, giving him a push, sending him face first into the dirt. Paradox took out his iPod and changed the song to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This". Paradox sang along while making a mocking dance.

Jason always was one to accept challenges, even ones that didn't exist. Turning, he looked into Joey's eyes. "Stay here." Before she could say anything, he gripped her in a tight hug, and spun around. A hard glare entered his eyes as he looked at Paradox. That guy was right though. This guy looks tough. Gaah...if only the sun were out. Of course, rain has energy too, though only minute amounts. I'll have to rely on my lightning. Jason took a step forward, and stuck his hand out. With a loud CRACKing sound, a bright bolt of blue-white lightning shot out of his hand and headed straight for the dancing man.

Paradox only had enough time to look towards the loud crack before being shocked with a massive bolt of lightning. Paradox was forced to his knees as he caught his breath after such a hit he wasn't expecting. Paradox slowly got back up, shaking his muscles out from the sudden spasm caused by the high voltage. Paradox went to check his iPod, but its screen was black and unresponsive.

 

"RAAGH! You bastard! You killed by iPod! I had $600 worth of songs on that!" Paradox shouted in the direction of the lightning bolt as he slowly walked towards it, still trying to regain his motor control. As Paradox walked closer, he saw a red haired boy hiding in the brambles. Paradox gestured for the lance he stole from Cultin and threw it with enourmous strength at the brambles, cutting through the thick overgrowth.

Jason cried out, and leapt out of the way of the spear. It grazed his side as he dodged it, and he landed wincing. Standing up, he quickly stuck a hand out, and sucked the kinetic energy out of the spear. His right hand began to glow a light blue color. Then, he opened both hands to the sky, and began gathering small amounts of kinetic energy from the rain. After a minute, he pulled his hands down. It would have to be enough. "Let's see how you like my...Shockwave!" he cried, and slammed both his hands into the ground. A wave of bright blue energy erupted from his hands, spreading in a circular range, but most concentrated in the direction of Paradox.

Cultin closed his eyes, feeling the wind. He grabbed for something, a long, thin object. The lance in the bushes disappeared, leaving a gust of wind in it's place. The same gust twirled around Cultin, stronger than the first. Cultin's eye's were still shut, but he was staring straight at Paradox. Next to him, a lone, green lance was floating. It was bobbing up and down, as if in water. Cultin opened his eyes, to see everything. Every hidden thing was visible, but wasn't really there. He could, well the best he could explain was to feel it. He saw a small rat shuffling about, and Trinity edging towards Nico. Then he looked back at Paradox, and vanished. When he reappeared, he was infront of Paradox, his lance inches away from Paradox's heart and rushing towards it.

Paradox simply smiled at Cultin as the boy's shockwave of kinetic energy smashed into Cultin, knocking him over a bit, just enough for Paradox to back off. Paradox then jumped over Cultin right in front of the boy who had created the shockwave. Paradox remembered the boy's features. The red hair and eyes was very familiar.

 

"Ah! Jason! I didn't expect you to be here! Thanks for saving me the effort for me! I thought I'd have to comb the city to find you, but here we are!" Paradox said before lifting Jason off his feet and threw him into Cultin, knocking both of them over.

Trinity, after making sure Nico was alright, turned to Paradox who just threw the electro-kid into Cultin. He wasn't paying attention to her, so she figured now would be the best time. Because of the rain on the floor it made a perfect line from her to Paradox. She knelt down dropping her boy temperature drastically and the water under her hand began freezing forming a trail all the way to Paradox encasing his feet in ice. She then collected the rain forming three spikes of water. She then froze them as well, and sent them towards Paradox.

OoC: Wow, everyone's dogpiling on me now...

IC: Paradox was suddenly frozen onto the ground when the rainwater on his shoes snap froze. Paradox tried to pull himself out of his boots but was unsuccessful. He was then shot at with frozen spears from his right. Trying to stay balanced, he waved his hands to use one of the spears' kinetic energy to cancel out another and just barely dodged the last by crouching down clumsily.

 

"Aw you've got to be kidding me! This is ridiculous! I'm without music fighting three mutant freaks in the rain!" Paradox protested as he clawed at his frozen boots until they eventually gave way, still with large chunks of ice on them. Paradox then charged towards the blonde haired girl, swiftly grabbing her from behind, holding her arms back.

 

"Ooh...You smell nice...I'll be taking you with me!" Paradox muttered before putting a fierce blow to the back of the girl's head, knocking her out. Paradox then slung her limp body over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes before addressing his combatants.

 

"Ok. You guys win this round. Go scatter in the city like the rats you are. It won't be long until the normal people root you out!" Paradox said before taking off down the road with the last of his energy.

 

OoC: And Magnet, don't do your fancy wind teleporting to catch up. I'm pretty sure that constantly teleporting or 'moving extremely fast' like you might say, would take a whole crapload of energy and would only be able to be used a couple times before the user collapses tired. Hotaru, Trinity will wake up when Paradox reaches the city, which will be in about a post's time. Make Nico wake up so you won't be without a character.

Nico's eyes suddenly opened and he stood up seconds before Paradox left. "Rebot complete." He then looked around quickly seeing the two knew people and pulling up their information. "Next time I suppose." He said before turning and following the quickly receading heat signature of Paradox and...Another? He tilted his head in confusion. "He has another with him, but who?..." He quickly scanned through hi memories before remembering that the blond girl wasn't there. The chip, pulled up the information on the girl. "He must have the ice user." Nico mumbled then sped up to catch Paradox.

Jason stumbled as the man got up from under him. Then, he too stood up, groaning and rubbing his head. He watched as Nico turned and made off in the same direction as Paradox had gone with that girl. He sighed in defeat, and his shoulders sagged. Now he remembered Paradox; that crazy guy, Jason thought of him as. Shaking his head again, he made his way back to Joey, hoping that she was not injured. Suddenly, he winced, a fire spreading through his arm. He looked down to see that his right arm was covered in blood. He blinked, confused. Then it hit him: the lance that Paradox had thrown at him must have done more than nicked him, like he had thought.

[Dark Lightning]

It takes Joey sometime to comprehend what is going on, but after a while she puts on an irritated face and then clenches her fists

"Damn you!" she yells, obviously going into a complete rant "How dare you go off and just do that, huh?! You know, I was actually enjoying that bit of quiet time and then when a battle comes by you try to be the hero by trying to keep me away?!"

Joey begins stomping on the ground, and in her rage, she accidentally sends a lightning bolt flying strait towards Jason.

Jason could understand her anger, as he too had been enjoying the quiet time they had been experiencing. Of course, he had thought that those guys needed help, though he hadn't helped much. He watched, shocked, as a bright bolt of lightning erupted from Joey and came at him. He took a stance, and stuck his hands out. Using a combination of his lightning manipulation and energy sourcing, he sucked the energy in and directed what was left away from his body. Or at least, that's what he meant to do. In reality, the bolt struck him square in the chest, sending him flying backward. He smashed into a building, and cried out. As he stood, smoke arose from his shirt. He laughed, looking at Joey. "Good thing I have the same power as you, or that would have really hurt."

OOC: I wasn't planning to. That would ruin the plot.

 

IC: Cultin sighed. He would have gone after Paradox, but he had two reasons not to. Number one was that he was tired, and he put a lot of energy into that fight. And number two was that he wasn't sure he could defeat Paradox without destroying half, if not more, of the city. He sighed, and looked towards the couple, arguing. He was about to shout at the guy, but he was shot into a building. He looked towards the girl, who seemed to be in a rage. "Woah there, girl. There was no need for that." Cultin said, walking towards the girl. He was trying to help, even if he did knock me off balance."

OOC: Good news. My other character app was (Finally) accepted after I PMed Greedx. YAY :)

 

IC: As the rainclouds drifted apart, a small sigh was barely heard. It came from a figure, high up on a building top, surrounded by clouds. Not the dark, grey/black clouds from earlier, but fluffy white ones. He sighed and ignored them, turning his attention to the now splitting group. "Hehehehe. This'll be fun to watch." He laughed, a large smirk growing across his face, which was contorted in madness. "I'll make sure only to intervene when it gets boring." He chuckled, before vanishing in the direction of Paradox and Trinity.

OoC: This RP seems to fade in and out of death...I'll try to bring it back again.

 

IC: Paradox reached the outskirts of the city, stopping in an industrial park covered in warehouses of various sizes. Paradox was getting tired for carrying the girl over his shoulder for so long, but he couldn't stop until he had found good shelter. Paradox walked around the park for several minutes before finding a suitable empty warehouse that appeared to be in a state of disrepair. He walked in and found that it was still holding various goods in crates. Paradox opened one of the crates and found that it was filled with countless bags of what appeared to be powdered sugar. Paradox took one bag and examined the contents. It was certainly not powdered sugar and from what he could guess from the state the warehouse was in, it was probably cocaine. Paradox put the coke back into its crate and explored the warehouse some more. He found what appeared to be an old manager's office gutted by fire and put down the limp body in the opposite corner. He took the girl's stockings off and tied the girl's hands behind her back tightly. Only then did Paradox finally rest.

Nico followed close behind Paradox wondering where he was heading too. It didn't look like he had a set place to go, but he finally stopped in an industrial park stopping at a fairly decent warehouse. Nico waited a while before walking in and saw Paradox resting. "Why did you take her back to the Lab?" He looked at Trinity then turned back to the resting male, "What do you plan on doing now? They'll most likely be coming for Tri-" Nico closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again, continuing as if nothing happened, "For Trinity. Will you just stay here?"

 

Meanwhile Trinity groaned from her position in the corner her eyes fluttering open. "Wha...." She made to move only to painfully realize that her hands were tied behind her back. She wondered by what, then saw that her legs and feet were bare, as both her stockings and shoes were off. She winced trying to move her wrist but her stockings here tied too tightly. "Where am I-Nico!" Said boy turned when his named was called. "The ice-user has awoken."

 

Trinity frowned looking at the only mutant to make her feel fear. "Paradox..."
