Ok I know I have a lot of request to get to. Now that I finally got this Fakemon sheet done I'll get to them.

Took me forever to even start doing these, much less finishing. Thanks though to me starting to develop some type of insomnia, I got some done (I really need to get to bed before 5 AM!). Well I have to say I love the Thorny Devil I made. It's now one of my favorite/cutest, at least I think so. Also I'm lazy and will be ceasing all the useless junk I had when describing pokemon. I'm now not going to bother to say level or stats of the Pokemon.

592 - Lighla: Psychic Type. "The markings on its body glow when this Pokemon uses it's psychic powers.

593 - Darvil: Dark Type. "This Pokemon is known for its visious style of fighting. With it's powerful arms, it can break down entire trees."

594 - Koalanian - Psychic/Dark Type. "This pokemon shares two very different personalities. It's versatility more than makes up for the lack of a sound mind though." (Currently my idea is that either the Koala or Tasmanian Tiger can evolve into this Pokemon.)

595 - Echindle: Fire Type. "It is said that you can tell the age of this Pokemon by the number of spikes on its back. No one knows how they get and or grow them."

596 - Thornz: Fire Type. "The spikes on its back aren't actual flames, they act as a warning. The warning is appropriate though as this Pokemon is a Fire type."

597 - Frillz: Fire Type. "When being threatened this Pokemon displays its crimson frill. It is said that they also absorb heat through the thrills."

598 - Smoochum: I don't feel like bothering.

599 - Jynx: I don't feel like bothering.

600 - Hexill: Psychic/Ice. "This Pokemon is capable of hypnotizing without even using its psychic powers. It's singing and dancing are said to capture the heart of anything." (Way of evolution pending)

As a bonus I've made a cool little animation of the Echidna Pokemon:

Oh and also I was thinking of doing something with the Echidna Pokemon involving Candle Jack but I never thou....

I made the Fakemon, and if we're talking about the splices, than sure. I figured most people wouldn't really mind since most people know they are from gamefreak and what not. I guess though I shall add credit up on my front page if you would like me to, it takes like 5 seconds of editing.

Well James I do plan on making back sprites one day, I would like to see them be in the game. I however do not like to just give my Fakemon to just anyone. I've seen too many half baked plans for regions just fall on their faces. Once you're getting like really far into it and your project doesn't look like its going to just stop like almost every project, then we can talk (I'm a far way from back sprites anyways, so you have some time).

Zach it's fine, I don't mind if he requests I credit my sources, it's only fair if he thinks I should. If you want to know the real reason why he came in and made that threat though, it's because he posted some splices. Thing is though he didn't use official sprites, he used fan made sprites, and he didn't even credit the person, and it's unknown if they are even allowed to be used. I gave him a neg and said I wouldn't critique him due to it, and that if he wanted critique and neg to go away, he just had to credit the original artists.

Also I'm sorry I didn't see your comment before Jonas Greve, I just noticed it now. I did make the map in Paint. I had next to it the map of Sinnoh for reference on the style needed, and colors. I also had physically drawn my idea I wanted for the region first, so I had a good idea of what it was already going to look like.

Here is the latest sheet. For whatever reason this thing took me forever. The time it takes me to do a splice has actually increased recently, probably because I'm trying out some more advance stuff. Sadly I can't help but think I'm slowly moving into disguise territory more so than splicing =/. Well whatever, I like what I've done this time around, some cool stuff. Everything on this one was by request.

The repose on the bottom was a request from a friend, he wanted me to make a repose of Pikachu in Pokemon yellow style. I used the Super Smash Bros. Brawl pose for it.I then figured I'd revamp it, which went kind of Ok, but it is a bit small by today's standards =P.

I was also requested to mix like 8 Pokemon, but since one was Wailord, another being Combee, I decided to say "Screw that", that's too many things with too many different sizes and stuff, I don't feel like tackling something like that on request yet. If I do a 8 pokemon splice, I'll be choosing the Pokemon. Also was requested to do a Dialga + Palkia + Girantina (Origin Forme), but I am not doing it since it involves Origin Forme Girantina, which I don't have a free to use sprite of it, nor do I want to go find one.

Wailord + Kangaskhan is enough of challenge. Plus all those other things, though, it's hard to properly blend them. As I said, I could probably do 8 different things, but I"d have to choose each of the 8 things. With 8 pokemon it wouldn't be like the things I do now. It would be a true 'splice'. Technically what I do I am told is actually fusing. Splicing is when the Pokemon taken are barely recognizable because I use so many. I will try and get to an 8 part splice or more, but Things like Wailord don't have enough little parts and details I can take. It's huge and awkward with things like angles. It's a Pokemon that is hard enough to get to fit with just one or two pokemon. In an 8 part splice, he would either be almsot non existent, or horribly noticeable.

Wailord is still a tough base even, I would definetly put him in the top 10 hardest pokemon to splice list. Also, what shiny? If we're talking the one to the left, not really. I did that in Pokemon Yellow style. A good number of pokemon in that style don't have that much shading, or non at all. Take for example the actual Pikachu sprite in yellow.

Phione does not evolve into Manaphy, and Phione I don't see as being a legendary. Heck I barely recognize Manaphy as a Legendary.

As I said before though, I don't do requests for Fakemon. Also I don't need any suggestions, I"m doing just fine filling my region on my own.

Well it's hard to call this a true Fakemon because you used Haunter's claws. It's kind of a lazy job to just take something from another Pokemon. Also as a split evolution, some similarities are ok, but exact carbon copies are bad. Another problem with the hands is they don't match the style of your sprite. A lot of people will also see your sprite as lesser because they'll only be comparing them too the better sprited hands.

Another issue in general is the direction it looks like it's facing. It looks like it is looking directly at us. Pokemon sprites tend to be facing a different direction. The eyes are also set up wrong. The left it is much bigger than the right, and with the way you did it, it makes it look like the right eye is closer than the left. This kind of puts a weird tilt and angle on the face.

Another big problem is your sprite looks flat. The shape and borders help in adding no depth at all. The eyes and mouth being the pure black don't help either. The shading also doesn't wrap and smooth around like it should. Add more curves to the contras, to make it seems roundish or whatever you were going for.

As design itself it has some flaws. The random blotches everywhere are too identical in shading. They also seem similarly flat as the body. You could have added more, or made the other closing. Overlapping them over each other and the body could add a little more depth to it overall.

Work on shading, details, spicing it up, and making its own true Pokemon. You simply drew a few flat blotches of purple. How you do a sprite can give or take from it's character. Fakemon are suppose to be their own little characters, and yours lacks this. This is all I have to say.

Also please next time refrain from posting your work in my thread. Post it on the board in your own thread. I go through and check most of the threads anyways to critique other works. If you did that also, others would comment on them too. Although most tend to give things higher score then they should, at least in my opinion.
