Problems with Tut and GIMP - Urgent! - Reps for Help

I have just downloaded GIMP, and I am trying to make a 'Holo Card' using the Tut below:

Now I am up to the 4th bit, it says to 'Move Holo sheet up on the Cards Pic'. So I open up my Saved Card, but it comes up in a different window. So I click the 'Move' tool on GIMP, put it over the Holo Template on the Main Window attempting to move it to the other Window and place it on the card image.

 

So in a Nutshell, I open up GIMP, save the Holo template, open the template in GIMP, resize it, try to insert my card into the SAME window and it opens a new one, so I keep both Windows open, use the move tool to move the holo to the card on the other window and that window disappears so I can't put the Holo on it.

 

So I am asking is there a way to put the card into the same window with the Holo template?

You can't move it to the other window, but here's what you can do.

 

First, open the CARD first and then open up the holo sheet as a new layer (Ctrl + Alt + O). That way, both the card and holo sheet stay on same window. Resize it like what the tutorial says to do and then you got it.

Thanks. I now have 1 last problem, how do I copy the image location and paste it onto this forum? I have saved it but then when I look through it in 'My Pictures' when I click to open it it takes me to GIMP.

You might have saved it as a .xcf file.

Save it as a JPG or PNG and it won't redirect you to GIMP
