Greatest Drummers

Drumming is the back-bone of all rock bands. It sets the speed, keeps the rhythm, and fills in for the guitar. I used to play drums, and I built up quite a bit of respect for quite a few drummers. Who do you think are some of the greatest drummers of all time? I have a few:

Neil Pert of Rush (just listen to Anthem! My god, it's like he has four hands and three feet.)

Rick Allen of Def Leppard (he killled the skins with JUST. ONE. ARM)

The Rev of Avenged Sevenfold (R.I.P just listen to tracks like Second Heartbeat or Bat Country)

Dave Grohl of Nirvana/Foo Fighters (Smells Like Teen Spirit, anyone?)

Who are some of your favorite drummers?

Joey Jordinon of slipknot he owns all drummers

Maybe if you're 12.

Flo Mounier' date=' Mike Portnoy, Vitek (R.I.P), George Kollias, Lord Marco.

The list goes on.

Heeey Joey Jordison is a pretty good drummer.

Even if the rest of the band sucks ass.

He's decent, but he definitely doesn't "own all drummers."

Ringo.

Ringo wasn't that great of a drummer at all. The Beatles were great' date=' Ringo was not. His fills aren't that fast, all he really does is keep time.

Speed =/= good.

No, but it does make for better fills, and a more interesting song imo.
