The Official Michael Jackson Thread

DARKPLANT RISING

Recommended Posts

Upon seeing this section, I was shocked that this thread did not exist. As it does not, I got personal permission from Opalmoon and created this thread as an Official Thread (my second, along with Demonata). Opalmoon as has it be made that all things concering MJ's Musical Achivements be posted here. Also, upon this becoming a hot thread, I may also request this to be stickied.

Michael Jackson, in the near impossible case you didn't know, was an American Singer who was recognized as the most sucessful entertainer in all of history. He was also one of the most infulental, and has achived many world records. He was also a global figure in Pop Culture for over 4 decaded, and was called the "King of Pop".

His album "Thriller" has remained as the best-selling album of all time, having sold more than 110 million copies world wide. He has also been the first African American Artist to have a strong crossover following on MTV.

He was once thought to have sexually abused children. However, later research from a woman living near the accuser brought information that the whole thing was a trap meant to steal large amounts of money. Yes, I researched enough to state this.

This thread is the place to talk about MJ.

A thread on MJ isn't deserving of a sticky.

With that logic, threads on Megadeth, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, etc. should also be stickied. >_>

MJ sucks btw. Beat It and Smooth Criminal are the only decent songs.

I remember seeing This Is It, and thinking how much he was truly devoted to doing the best for his fans. He was an amazing dancer, and after he died I listen to his music none stop for 4 days.

You can't deny how much of an influence and impact he's had on modern music.

Who's Megadeth' date=' Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and Ozzy Osbourne? I know there's a guy called Metallica in this site, but...

[/quote']

Some of the most influential musicians of all time. They outclass MJ when it comes to performance AND influence. Okay, so he was a good dancer. He was child predator, and an irresponsible parent. He dies and everyone forgets that he ruined some innocent childrens' lives? Sorry, death doesn't change my opinion.

I think of him more as a dancer than musician' date=' but whatever.

He is a great entertainer, but people overrate him so much. I know he passed away and all, but did everyone forget that he touched little kids? Not to mention he held his own child over a balcony...

[/quote']

He was never proven guilty of any of those child molestation charges. It was obviously dumbasses trying to fiddle money out of some guy.

I should have a right to do whatever the hell I want with MY OWN CHILD.

MJ sucks btw.

That's great, but the fact that you didn't say imo makes me angry. Unless I was supposed to assume that...?

Your kind of biased. Only rock stars can have great performances and influence? I don't know for sure on performance, but hardly anyone could beat MJ in influence. Plus, his personal problems shouldn't effect the fact that he was a good musician. Just cause Ozzy ate the head of a bat doesn't make me think he wasn't a great rock star.

I never said MJ wasn't a good performer, I just said he wasn't a good as the rock gods. And eating a bat's head doesn't scar someone for life.
