A.O.E.V.

Thanks to Zeonark for this idea.

Small Introduction:

All A.O.E.V. activate their effects by destroying other monsters you control, or swarm like BWs. ATM, there are 6 monsters. I think about making 10 - 12.

If anyone has pics that would make a good Spell or Trap card, don't hold back - PM me the pic or make a card out of it and post it here!

But atm, they don't obtain advantage at all.

They kill your field most of the time.

The only one that can increase advantage is their Synchro, but to get it you need to throw in 2-3 cards.

Don't see how they'll dominate the meta at this point... :/

@Byak: Thanks for your critic. But notice' date=' if you play proeperly, you will never have an empty field.

@Traceur: Thanks mate^^

Well, what if, you know, your opponent runs over your monster/generic destruction?

Bribe/Solemn/Starlight Road - Whatever you want xD

Of course, everythng depends on what you draw and when you draw it.

I'm just saying, you should give them a card that would let them gain advantage.

When I saw Pyromaniac, I thought "finally another Pyro-Type that is not FIRE", but then I read the effect.

And I really don't see how they work: half of them have harsh costs, but the other half have decent effects. The only good cards are the Pyromaniac, Spikytail because of its Special Summoning effect and, of course, the Synchro.

Boneplate is plain bad, it costs you 1 monster or 2 if you use its first effect. And only for 2000 ATK?, not a fair trade in my opinion.

The second effect of Spikytail is random: Why would you Special Summon an A.O.E.V of yours on your opponent's field? If you could somehow recover it easily, then it could be fine, but you didn't make an A.O.E.V card for that. Well, the Woodsman steals monsters, but at the cost of one of yours so where is the advantage? In addition, Spikytail would do better as a Tuner monster.

Finally, The Dragon is messed up. First of all, remove the discarding cost: destroying it with an effect is enough to special summon it. After all, it will be hardly destroyed by an effect since it has low ATK/DEF.

Also, I bet you thought "I can use the Dragon for fulfilling the cost of Boneplate and then discard a card to Special Summon it". But that wouldn't work, because the cost of Boneplate is not treated as an effect, and therefore the Dragon would be destroyed not by a card effect, but by a card mechanic. This same effect wouldn't work with the effect of Woodsman, Battle Dragon or the first effect of the aforementioned Boneplate neither, because they destroy an A.O.E.V. as a cost, and since the the destruction of the Dragon is not the last thing to happen, you miss the timing and cannot discard a card for its Special Summon.

Finally, the Spell Card is bad: it costs you 3 cards (the monster, the discarded card, and the "Extraordinary Greed" itself), only to gain 2? You end losing 1 card.

Ok. This cost thing makes sense. At least you knew what i aimed for xD I'll change it immediately.

Ok, now to Boneplate, the Spell and Woodsman. The monsters all have quick effects, they are Spell Speed 2. Same with the Spell card. But you're probably right, I'll remove the discard effect/cost whatever.

Spikytail: I tried to make them Splashable. You can use this with Tomato, Rat, Pyramid Turtle etc. Or use in a Beast Deck with Moja. Or use it with these Gradius machine things, but this is probably not that good since spikytail is not a machine.

EDIT: forgot to mention Glads.

Guest Zeonark

With all of these costs, they're somewhat underpowered. Like the Synchro, remove it from play if you don't have another AOEV? Really?

Boneplate's last line isn't needed.

Spikytail, I don't understand with it's last effect.

Woodsman is fine.

Dragon is decent because it's a Foolish Burial for AOEVs. But it's discard 1 card part kinda turns me off(lol) because it's basically a mini Stardust.

Pyro... is basically a Swarming Topaz, which is good enough.

On the spell, where did the discard 1 card come from? I don't remember that. O_o

Underpowered, but just remove some of the Drawbacks and they'll be fine. ;D

Then again, we haven't seen too much of the set. If they have effects involving being discarded (Dark Worlds?) and whatnot, the drawbacks could actually help.

I removed the discard cost of the spell. The posted lore text is the correct one^^

Oh and for Spikytail, I'm going to make a card like Giant Rat. Destroy Spikytail or use it for a Synchro Summon to Special Summon the Giant Rat like monster to your opponent's side of the field. Then destroy it with one of your monsters to Special Summon 1 A.O.E.V. monster from your Deck.

I see you made the proper changes (mostly replace "to" with "and"). Now the effects of most your A.O.E.V. should trigger.

The Metal Eye is an awesome addition; I could say it was just the card it needed: it brings the A.O.E.V.s you need, and you can destroy it with another A.O.E.V. to destroy a card. I like how it works well with Evil Woodsman and Pet Dragon
