Trainer Paul (No Relation with Paul from Sinnoh) – Champion in Training

Someplace, in a Region not too Faraway, Kanto, More specifically, Pallet Town, where Red started his Journey began, but this is not THAT story.

Today, the Trainer-in-Training Paul Elizabeth Redzeef (Red Zeaf) turns 10, the Minimum Age to become a Trainer, however, everyone took the 3 Starter Pokemon, Bulbasaur Charmander & Squrtle for the past 6 Years. Now sixteen, way overdue to become a trainer, finally picked his Starter Pokemon, Charmander, and he was lucky, it was female.

Shortly afterwords, a large earthquake struck Kanto, at the same time that Paul left Professor Gary’s lab.

It was at Mt. Moon, the same place where the Meteor fell that supposedly contained the Clafary and the Moon Stones years ago.

At Mt. Moon, a pod-like object crashed onto Mt. Moon’s Peak, this pod opened, and a fog emerged from the pod, and a Human-like Being emerged from the pod, a Happiny and Beldum drew near this pod. This Human-like Being saw the Pokemon, and threw a Strange Device at them, and then they were captured.

After Paul left pallet town, he met a Rattata, 4 Pidgeys, and a Shiny Sperow.

 

And then he entered Viridian City.

And bought a few pokeballs.

And a few Potions.

And Five Repels.

Then he left.

 

 

This is only Prologue.

 

 

[spoiler=Chapter 1]

Chapter 1 – Enter Rose and Proton

After returning from Viridian City, hitting his head on his bedroom wall, for not being to capture that Shiny Sperow.

“GHAAAA!”

“Why am I so LUCKY?!”

Said Paul as he continued to smash his hand on the wall.

He tried to calm down by playing his NES for a few hours.

He played Super Mario Bros 3, The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Warrior, Dr Mario, Super Mario Bros and The Uncanny X-Men.

Right before he beat Bowser at the end of Mario 3, he heard knocking on his Door.

“Knock Knock!” Said a Female Voice on the other side.

After hearing her voice, in shock, Paul knew EXACTLY who she was!

It was Rose, Paul’s Best Friend, she moved to Saffron City When He Turned 12.

“Can I come in?”

“Oh, ok, sure, come in.” As Paul said nervously as he walked to the Door.

As he opened the door, stepping back as the door opened, as Rose walked in.

“So, Paul, what happened?”

“As I was going to surprise you by visiting you, I heard loud thuds outside”

After she got done saying that Paul looked at her nervously.

“Eh, eh, that’s a long story, you see….”

“Ah, you are upset that a shiny got away from you. I get it now.”

“Oh! That’s Right! I Forgot!”

As Rose reached into her bag, picking up 3 Pokeballs, all of them stamped with a Sticker, one with a Leaf, on with a Flame and one with a Drop of Water.

As Rose Threw them into the air, the Pokeballs opened.

Out came 3 Pokemon! Torchic Mudkip and Treecko! All Hoenn Starter Pokemon!

“I went to Hoenn a few days ago, I found these CUUUUTE Pokemon!”

“Hey, Paul.”

“Yah?”

“Want to go to Pewter City Together?”

“Uh, Sure. Just let me get my Pokem…”

“AH! My Pokeballs are Gone!!”

“What? That can’t be!”

“It is.” Said an Unknown Voice.

Both Rose and Paul turn their heads towards this unknown voice, which happens to be next to the Window.

“W-w-w-who are you?” Rose said with a scared tone of voice.

“I, am Proton.”

“Proton?” Said Paul

“Yes. Don’t repeat you’re self.”

“What do you want?”

“That, I cannot say.”

“I challenge you to a battle!”

“Rose, What are you THINKING?”

“Don’t try and stop me, Paul.”

“Ok. Good Luck.”

Rose Sends in Treecko

Proton Sends Out Happiny

Rose tells Treecko to use Pound.

It Hits!

Proton ordered Happiny to use Present!

It Hits! It Knocks out Treecko!

*Gasp* “Treecko! What did you do?”

“Nothing. It was the Happiny.” (Note: Happiny CAN learn Present by chain breading.)

“Gha, Go! Torchic!”

Rose told Torchic to use Ember.

It Hits! Happiny looks ready to faint!

Proton told Happiny to use Present!

It Hits!

Torchic’s Health is restored!

“No!”

“Yes.”

“Torchic! Ember!”

Torchic responded.

Torchic used Ember and Knocked out Happiny!

“No! I can’t let this happen! I must win!”

As he said that, he took a Pokeball from his pack.

“Go!”

He threw his Pokeball, out came a Buldum.

Beldum are strange Pokemon. The only move they typically learn is Take Down.

“Torchic, use Ember!”

Beldum Dodged!

Proton Ordered Beldum to use Take Down!

It hits! It Knocks out Torchic! Beldum Took Recoil Damage!

“Rose!”

“What?”

“Beldum is Steel-type!”

“Ah!”

Rose sends out her last Pokemon, Mudkip.

“Mud!”

“Mudkip! Mud Slap!”

“Take Down!”

Right when the mud hit Beldum, Mudkip had bean hit with Take Down, luckily, Mudkip Survived, beldum, not so much.

“No! This will not be the last time you see me!”

As he threw a Smoke Ball, he jumped out the window!

*Cough* *Cough* everybody was Coughing!

“What did he want? I’ve never seen him before. Do you think he had anything to do with the crash on Mt. Moon?”

“Who knows?”

What will happen next? Tune in next time for the next Chapter of, Pokemon – Wrath of Proton!

Chapter 2 – Useless Dialog has left the Building

After the Incident with Proton, Paul and Rose decided to leave Pallet Town and head off for Pewter City together. After they packed and got ready for the long trip, they set off. While they were walking down the road, Paul turned to Rose. “Rose?” he said, looking at her inquisitively.

 

“What?” she replied. Still walking, she turned her head, and looked into Paul's eyes.

 

“Do you... think I will be able to become Champion?” Paul's voice contained a hint of embarrassment, and worry. Rose smiled at him.

 

“Don't worry about it. If you work hard, it’s possible.” She knew these were the words he needed to hear; they were best friends, after all.

 

“Yeah, your right,” he said, and smiled at her.

 

A few hours later, the pair found an oddly-shaped stone lying in the middle of the road. Paul bent down, and lifted it up. “What’s this Rose? Do you have any idea?” Rose scrunched her face up, and tried to think if she had ever seen it before, or heard of something like it.

 

“Nope, not one," she said definitively, shaking her head. Paul nodded.

 

“Oh well, may as well take it. It might be important. Who knows?”

 

Somewhere, on Mt. Moon…

 

“GAH! They got it First! That was the key to my plan! Looks like I'm going to need a new Power Source. Beldum! Find out where they are going!” A Beldum rushed up, and responded with a vigorous nod. At a motion from its master, Beldum was gone.

 

As for Paul and Rose, they had entered Viridian Forest some time ago.While they were walking in the woods, the stone Paul had found started glowing. Quite randomly, Paul got a strange feeling that he was being watched…

 

A strange pair of eyes moved in the trees, as if attracted to something. Neither Rose nor Paul had noticed the glowing stone in Paul’s backpack. Suddenly, there was a rustle in the trees. Paul looked over at Rose.

 

“Huh? You say something?”

 

“What?” Rose looked at Paul. She had been thinking, and had not noticed anything out of the ordinary.

 

“Oh...nothing.” Paul turned back, and the pair continued their journey through the dark forest.

 

((cue music:

it sounds better with music in the background))

 

“Stop! You may not pass!” A deep voice suddenly echoed through the forest. Paul and Rose looked around, trying to pinpoint the origin of the voice.

 

“Who are you?” Paul called out, a hand raised to his mouth to help it carry. Suddenly, a bug catcher dropped down from the trees. He approached the two adventurers, saying:

 

“You may not pass!”

 

“Why on earth not?” Rose asked. She could see no reason for them to halt their journey, especially for some random Pokemon trainer.

 

“Because...you have to solve a riddle first," the bug catcher said. He sneered at the two, sure that these two would be helpless against his riddle.

 

“Ok, what’s this riddle?” Paul challenged, swaggering slowly forward. The bug catcher nodded at him, as if accepting his challenge.

 

“What Pokemon ways only 4.4 Pounds and can control thunder?... I Doubt you can solve-”

”It's Pichu!" Rose called out triumphantly. The bug catcher blinked; he had not been expecting this.

 

“Uh...that’s correct. You may pass...as soon as you can defeat me!” he shouted out, pulling out a small handful of Pokeballs. Paul stepped forward, and pulled out his own Pokeballs.

 

“Bring it on!” he said. The two stepped closer, until they were about twenty feet apart. Paul selected one of his Pokeballs, and threw it out in between him and the bug catcher. The bug catcher did likewise. Out of the Pokeballs came a Charmander, Char Char, and a Caterpie, belonging to Paul and the bug catcher respectively.

 

((Skipping the battle because it ruined the first chapter))

“Wow, you’re strong, go ahead.” The bug catcher was looking defeatedly at his unconscious Pokemon. Paul laughed, and grinned.

 

“Thanks, weirdo." He turned away from the strange trainer, and walked back to Rose. As they where walking, Paul saw something, strangely shining. Realizing what it was, Paul cried out in dismay. “Gah! It’s the shiny Spearow I saw when I started my quest! I just have to capture it! Go! Char Char! Scratch the Spearow!”

 

After a quick, but intense, battle, Paul threw a Pokeball at the Spearow , with a cry of, Go! Pokeball!” It shook, three times, but it still managed to break out! It ran away, to be battled for another day. Paul stomped the ground in anger.

 

“Not again!” Rose tried to suppress a grin as she watched her friend's antics. She placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort him.

 

“You will capture it some day, just you wait and see! Paul blinked, and nodded to Rose in thanks. He knew that she was trying to calm him down, and it was working.

 

“Thanks Rose.”

 

As they where talking, Beldum was watching them like a hawk, never taking its eyes off of them...

 

Rose and Paul decided to camp out in that spot because it was late. Paul's Char Char lit up a fire, and Rose's Treecko found food. Unbeknownst to the two humans, and their Pokemon, Beldum was still sitting there, looking for the stone.

.....

Rose and Paul had fallen asleep, so Beldum thought it was a good idea to raid the backpacks to look for the stone. It searched around the clearing, until finally, it had found it in Paul’s backpack. It tried to lift the stone, but it can be quite challenging to pick something up when all you have is a mouth, and no arms. It finally managed to pick it up with the claws on it’s back, but after it tried to walk, dropped it on Paul!

 

“Huh? GAH! BELDUM!” The loud screaming of Paul’s woke Rose, only to see Beldum float away with the stone! A Strange blue figure flew after Beldum at lighting speed, crashing in to Beldum and causing them both to fall in an explosion!

 

“What was that?” Paul and Rose said in unison. Instead of going out in the night, with all sorts of poisonous bug-type Pokemon, they decided to stay put for the night, and fell asleep.

It's 98% dialogue. Meaning there's way more talking than there is describing.
