I'm sorry about this, but I need to show you and point out some problems.
This is the incomplete idea I made for my Clan for my character Hayate Masaru. The Kekkai Genkai has no jutsu's at the moment other then being able to control basic gravity movements. (Explanation about basic gravity movements would be listed under the 3 under the levels of the Genshukugan below.)
The Masaru clan was a clan that’s as old as time it’s self. That doesn't make sense because although the sharingan and byakugan were around since the beginning no one could use jutsu or manipulate chakra so their powers would be useless and it would be impossible to trace them back. They were among the first humans to exist on Earth' date=' they were created by the Goddess Shiva as one of 5 clans. [b']What are the five clans and where does the Goddess Shiva come into Naruto at all? The Genshukugan represents the third eye that governs the universe with a Gravitational force. Otherwise known as gravity. The clan began as a nomadic tribe that moved form place to place. Never fully adjusting to the environment that they lived in. However, one day, when the tribe was riding together on a boat, a terrible thunderstorm brewed in, causing them to wash ashore the Fire Country.

As years went by, the clan never fully settled onto a village. They wandered around aimlessly, from Konoha to Otogakure, just trying to find work to do. That actually wouldn't be possible because then the villages would all hunt them afraid that the people with such a powerful ability would join sides with their enemies. So the villages wouldn't take that chance and would try to wipe the clan out like the Kaguya clan.

However, when the first great shinobi war broke out, the clan found themselves in a very difficult situation. No matter what village they settled in, they would be involved in the fighting. The clan leader decided on Kasai (What is Kasai? You'd need to elaborate for the story to fit, since it's an unknown and your people would be trying to avoid the war or not be slaughtered by the ninja villages you should say that it's in the Land of Iron.), and the majority elected with him. However, there were a minor few that wanted to live in other villages they thought were more peaceful, so they decided to separate in order to prevent a needless conflict.

During the war, the majority that went into Kasai enlisted as a military force to protect the village in terms of danger. Using their Kekkei Genkai of their third eye, they successfully defended the village and were recognized by many villagers of the time. This also made them into a major political figure within the village because of their efforts.

Kekkei Genkai//Bloodline of the Clan:

acq1xi.jpg

The clan’s Kekkei Genkai is the Genshukugan. Also known as the third eye. The “Third” Eye is known for its Gravitational abilities, thus the name, Genshuku meaning Gravity in Japanese. The eye is said to have an invisible power that governs the universe. This power is known as Gravity.

The Genshukugan appears in the center of the forehead. This eye has the power to manipulate Gravity. The stronger the person wielding this power, the stronger the Gravity jutsu that can be used against the opponent. Does it appear on every clan member or is it only on those who possess the Kekkei Genkai? Is it a genetic symbol or a brand placed on ther person by the clan members?

However, this Kekkei Genkai has a side effect. Such prolonged concentration can be dangerous and taxing to the body. When used for to long, it could cause the user to faint. If a weaker user attempts to use a move that’s too strong for their level, it will instantly drain all of their chakra and they will become immobilized. If a user attempts to use a high level jutsu when their chakra is nearly depleted, the jutsu will be performed. However, the result will be death. That's true in most cases.
1st Level of Genshukugan(Genin):

The clan member has 10 times the gravitational power of a normal Ninja. (Meaning that a normal ninja could jump possibly 5 feet where a ninja with the Genshukugan could lower the gravity surrounding him to jump 10 feet. This also goes for everything a normal ninja could do.) It also gives the user the ability to use 2 C rank Gravity jutsu and 2 D Rank jutsu along with 1 B rank jutsu (Replacing their 1 normal non Kekkai Genkai B Rank jutsu).

The level should have nothing to do with the ninja rank. What gravitational power does a normal ninja? A ninja doesn't need gravity power to jump high, just increase the amount of chakra on the bottom of your feet and then you can use it the make you jump higher and faster. And what is everything a normal ninja could do? If you throw a punch with increased or decreased gravity it would weaken the punch unles you throw a punch down on an opponent and increase gravity. Also most Genin can't perform a B Rank jutsu.

2nd Level of Genshukugan(Chunin):

The clan member has 20 times the gravitational power of a normal Ninja. (Meaning that a normal ninja could jump possibly 5 feet where a ninja with the Genshukugan could lower the gravity surrounding him to jump 20 feet. This also goes for everything a normal ninja could do.) It also gives the user the ability to use 2 C rank Gravity jutsu and 2 D Rank jutsu along with 2 B rank jutsu, 2 A (Replacing 2 of their normal non Kekkai Genkai A Rank jutsu).

3rd Level of Genshukugan(Jounin - Joui-Jounin or Sennin)

The clan member has 40 times the gravitational power of a normal Ninja. (Meaning that a normal ninja could jump possibly 5 feet where a ninja with the Genshukugan could lower the gravity surrounding him to jump 30 feet. This also goes for everything a normal ninja could do.) It also gives the user the ability to use 2 C rank Gravity jutsu and 2 D Rank jutsu along with 2 B rank jutsu, 2 A Rank and 2 S Rank Gravity Jutsu (Replacing 2 of their normal non Kekkai Genkai S Rank jutsu).

Clan Information:

- Clan Training :: The Kekkei Genkai is always taught to a clan member before they enter the Academy. However, at this time they don’t have the chakra reserves in order to manipulate any type of Gravity. Over time, with training with their parents, they start to develop more techniques. But they can only learn them when they are in the correct rank. (i.e. Chunnin)

You mean they are only taught the techniques when they have reached a certain level of ability, not rank.

- Population :: The clan’s numbers have increased over the years. Not by a significant amount mind you, but at a subtle amount, much like the population of a country, only by reproduction. Though, the majority of the clan resides in Kasai, while many other members are spread across the country. This makes Kasai the unofficial home of the Masaru clan.

Class B: 500-1000 What does this mean?

- Nature//Values :: The Masaru clan are not distinguishable by their clothing (Maybe not but a Clan is always identifiable due to their mark it would usually be placed on their clothing. But in this case it is unecessary because the clan is identifiable by the mark on their foreheads.), since they believe in freedom of choice. However, there is a traditional weapon that all members must wield. The weapon they must wield is a Sword branded with the Third Eye.

I know you said that it was an incomplete idea, I'm just pointing this out so that if you want you can use it in my upcoming Naruto RP.

No problem Proto, I've gotten a lot better at RPing in a very short amount of time. At the moment I have 19 filed characters with completely different backgrounds for a variety of different things, not all of them are in use at the moment though.

Also question: if I was to have the Akatsuki in the RP would any of you consider making more than one character? One for Akatsuki and one for the good guys. Please.

I'd be able to play a character on each side so long as they never have to fight each other, lol. Though you should try to make your own evil group. Even if it's just a name change, don't use the Akatsuki. That's just me though seeing as every Naruto RP seems to do with the Akatsuki's return or something to that effect.

yeah.. we need a new evil org. used in atleast one of the current Naruto RPs, I can only remember 1 that I've seen on this site with a different evil org. than the akatsuki..

with having one evil and one good I probably would take longer making my good guy as.. well.. I usually just join the evil org...

^^'

Andx.. sorry about not posting much been busy working on my Naruto RP..

It's that time again! Time for another chapter of my fanfic for all of you reading, meaning Primal.
Chapter 25 Nami's Hospitality. A Path to Emanuel's Goal Opens!]

"It's Cat Burglar Nami!" Alice thought as she got back up on her feet. As she did so Nami walked over and looked around at the crew.

"The girl's standing, the guy's down for the count and the fox seems to be in pretty bad shape himself." Nami thought.

"Excuse me girl, could I get your name?" Nami said.

"Alice. Why?" Alice asked in response.

"Okay then Alice, how many of you are there in the New Dawn Pirate crew? And how many of them need medical attention?" Nami asked. Alice started thinking about hte number and looking around and saw Emanuel once again fall to the floor, unable to stand on his bad leg.

"Captain!" Alice called out as she ran over to Emanuel. Nami didn't seem all that surprised. She had guessed that the fox was some Devil Fruit user.

"Captain, are you okay?" Alice asked as she knelt down beside him.

"I'm fine. What about you and John? I couldn't help you. Please tell me you're both okay." Emanuel said. He sounded really weak, like something other than injuries and fatigue from fighting was bothering him.

"I'm fine, John needs attention but he'll be okay. But are you okay?" Alice asked.

"Don't worry about me!" Emanuel sort of yelled. "I'm sorry. Get everyone else taken care of first. Frozox should be coming back any minute. Jack and Koji are stable, Hayate should be any minute." Emanuel said. Alice didn't question why he brought up Hayate. Emanuel had no doubt added him to the crew after fighting him if he was taking care of his injuries. Alice then returned to Nami's question.

"I'm sorry, I should have answered you. Counting our most likely, newest member, there are seven of us. Frozox, our doctor, and myself shouldn't need attention. Three of the group are already being looked after and should be stable. But John and the captain need help soon." Alice said.

"Well, I must say you guys did a pretty good job with these hunters. And a lot like my old crew, you guys certainly know how to take your beatings. I'll get your captain and your friend moved to a place to rest soon, don't worry. I just have to track down a certain someone. Ah! There he is!" Nami said. The person she pointed to was Genzo who had come with a group of men, most likely to fight the pirate hunters.

"What's going on here?!" Genzo said at the situation.

"Genzo! These guys need help over here! We need to get them to a place they can rest quickly!" Nami called out. Genzo didn't seem concerned with that as something was obviously angering him.

"Nami! What are you doing down here!? And where the hunters were no less!" Genzo yelled at her. Nami was clearly irritated.

"Shut up and help these guys! They need treatment now! I'll argue with you about this later!" Nami yelled back. Several men walked up and got to carrying Emanuel and John. As they did so Frozox came walking up.

"Alice!" Frozox called out to her. He then saw the people carrying his captain and cook off. "Well that simplifies matters. Come Alice, I'll need to look over your injuries too, however light they may appear." Frozox said. He led her and the men off to the rooms in a local inn that the other members of the crew had already been placed in.

A few busy hours for Frozox passed and he'd gotten to everyone's injuries. Everyone except Emanuel was conscious and Frozox had a feeling he knew why. Emanuel did have a broken leg, but something else was clearly affecting him. It was his illness, and in truth Frozox had been expecting it to act up again for some time now. It had been awhile since the last time it had been a concern and Emanuel had briefly taken on his human form to fight Hayate. On the matter of Hayate, Frozox was a little curious as to why Emanuel had made him join the crew. Hayate's injuries had been simple enough to treat. Somehow Emanuel's attack hadn't managed to break anything and the rather long cuts that had appeared as a result of Hayate losing his game weren't that deep. Hayate was now sitting in the corner of the room. There had been a heated argument wherein Koji and Jack expressed their anger at Hayate being present. Frozox had put it to rest momentarily saying that Emanuel had put him in the crew but Frozox was wondering how long that would last.

Outside a rather loud argument was taking place. Genzo's and Nami's voices could both be clearly heard, even through the walls of the inn.

"What am I? Some prize that people have to perform rigorous tests to even look at?! Why would you send them off to fight those hunters to see me when all they had to do was come to my house of their own free will?!" Nami yelled.

"You know this whole village does its best to protect you! I couldn't trust them to not be after your bounty!" Genzo yelled back.

"I can protect myself thank you very much! You guys need to seriously loosen up. You know I can handle the various hunters that come here. I didn't get through a journey on Luffy's ship with good looks alone!" Nami said.

"We're still going to look out for you no matter what you say!" Genzo replied.

"Whatever! But as soon as every member of that pirate crew is able to, they're coming to my house to talk with me. I won't have you putting anymore ridiculous requirements for meeting me in place." Nami said. With that she walked inside where the crew was.

"Sorry if you heard any of that. Now then, how's everyone doing?" Nami asked. Koji immediately ran up to Nami and grabbed her hand.

"Excuse me for not introducing myself to a beauty like you earlier. My name is Koji." Koji said. He moved to kiss her hand, but before John could warp over and hit him, Nami had thrown him into the wall of the room.

"While I appreciate the sentiment, I am a married woman." Nami said rather calmly.

"It's nice to see some women can punish him themselves." John thought. as he relaxed and sat back in the chair he was sitting in.

"Everyone but the captain is up." Frozox said.

"Did he get hurt that badly?" Nami asked. The concern in her voice was clear.

"No, it's a bit of a condition he has. I still have no idea what the cause is. He should be fine by tomorrow though." Frozox said.

"Well, when you're all ready to come see me, just come. No requirements, no more people you have to fight, just come see me. Oh! That reminds me, I've left my guest alone with the kids for a few hours now. I should really go make sure he's okay. He panics a little too easily. See you all tomorrow then." Nami said as she took her leave.

--------

Emanuel was in a place in his mind he'd only been once before and he figured he knew what was coming. He was in his human form from what he could tell and shortly he saw what looked like his full fox form. As he had learned from his first encounter, it was the spirit of Devil Fruit.

"You're really going to try this again? You should know it's not going to work." Emanuel said.

"I have to admit your response to our first meeting was quite interesting. I told you that we're incompatible and so you went into your fox form to force us to stay together. For the months it's been since our first meeting you've been in your human form a few hours at most. I've been waiting for the slightest moment to get you again and you gave that to me today. A few minutes was all I needed to begin rejecting you again." the spirit said.

"So you think you've got me now?" Emanuel asked him.

"Yes. Like I said, all I needed was a moment and you gave me a few minutes." the spirit said. There was a wide grin on his face now.

"So you think you'll get me like that? You get a moment and you think you've won. I hate to tell you that won't be the case." Emanuel said.

"And what makes you so sure about that? I'd say the fact that you're here even in your fox form is proof enough that you don't have a chance and suppressing me again." the spirit said.

"I told you last time. I won't die, not until my goal is completed. And as of today, I finally have a chance to figure out how to go about it! Now get back to wherever I shoved you off to last time and don't come back for a few years!" Emanuel yelled at the spirit.

--------

Emanuel suddenly woke up all at once. The movement of him sitting up on the bed he was on was sudden enough that all the crew in the room all noticed it and a collective, "Captain?" could be heard from everyone within a few seconds.

"Are you okay then Captain? Your condition's calmed down a bit?" Frozox asked.

"Yeah, I'll be okay. Everyone seems to be fine as well." Emanuel said. He tried to move a little more only to get some decent resistance from his injured leg.

"I wouldn't try to move on that much if I were you captain." Frozox said in reference to his leg. All at once Koji ran up to get right next to Emanuel.

"Captain! What the hell were you thinking?! Frozox said you let that guy into the crew! That's the guy who injured me and Jack! Tell me you didn't know that at the time or something! Or just tell me Frozox got the situation wrong! Tell me something!" Koji yelled. The yelling seemed to annoy Emanuel who had just woken up. His tails had been gently swaying right until Koji started yelling at him. Hayate didn't move much at Koji's display.

"Fine, I'll tell you something. He's in the crew, like it or not. Now stop yelling for a bit please." Emanuel said. Koji backed away, looking defeated.

"Anyway, Nami says we're free to see her whenever we're all able to. So there's that." John said, trying to change the subject a little.

"That's good to know. Let's get going then." Emanuel said. The crew all called out things like, "Not until you're well" or, "Tomorrow after you've had some rest", and other things of that nature. Emanuel still couldn't move much so he knew that going was going to be impossible. But he still wanted to get going and that was the problem. His condition and his leg wouldn't be letting him go anywhere, at least not today.

"Right then. I'm not going anywhere else today it seems. You're all free to do as you please for the rest of the afternoon and evening. If you were seriously hurt I'd recommend staying inside and resting but I won't stop any of you from moving about the town freely. If there are any more pirate hunters about, because apparently this town sees them frequently, please don't get into fights with them. And with that your captain's out for the night." Emanuel said. He sat back down and practically passed out on the spot. His tails came back down to rest seconds after he sat so it was clear he was sleeping.

"Alright! I've got free range to go see every lady in this place! Oh, but don't worry Alice, you're the only girl for me!" Koji practically yelled. John did warp this time and promptly hit him over the back of the head and warped back to his seat.

"Please try to control yourself. Even just a little." John said. Koji quickly took his leave of the room. Jack left as well, as did Frozox. Alice, Hayate, John, and the sleeping Emanuel remained in the room. John was too tired to go about moving and instead went about reading, Alice wanted to stay by Emanuel though she had almost left with Frozox, and Hayate stayed because he felt like he had no right to enjoy a town that he had helped damage. After a minute or two Alice got up and left the room but stayed within the inn itself.

"So you're the new member? Not thinking about going out on the town?" John said while reading his book.

"No, not after I damaged it." Hayate answered.

"I see. You're the honorable and repentant type. Well the crew needed someone like you anyway to help balance out the crazy." Black said. Hayate had no response.

"Is something the matter?" John asked.

"Yes actually. I still can't understand why your captain would let me, or rather force me, into your crew. At the start of our fight he wanted to kill me." Hayate said.

"Oh yeah. I was a little worried about that myself. Emanuel never wants us to kill anyone so when he started talking about killing you I got a little concerned. Well I wouldn't try to understand Emanuel's actions. He's got a unique way of doing things but it's often for the best." John said.

"Still. He wanted me dead but part way through something changed. And at the end of our fight, the punishment attacks on me were light meaning he didn't want me to die. The crew obviously doesn't like me being here. I doubt my presence will do much more than cause problems." Hayate said.

"Look. You being here is not going to be more of a hassle than Koji being here, I can assure you of that. The crew will come to like you, you just need to give this sort of thing time. You know, none of us were added to the crew on common or expected terms." John said.

"What do you mean." Hayate replied.

"Well I hear Frozox and Emanuel ran into each other on the sea somewhere. Frozox was starving so Emanuel gave him some food and after that they decided to stick together. I thought Emanuel was some fox monster when he approached his ship. I thought he was going to hurt the New Dawn Pirates who I intended to join. I ended up fighting him and part way through Frozox put an end to it. After that I joined. Jack joined after we saved his island. He gave us the really nice ship we have now and intended to see us off when Emanuel suddenly told him he was coming with us. Now Koji, apparently he was picked up when Frozox and Emanuel were trying to stop me and Jack from being killed. And he's stuck around ever since. We rescued Alice from Marines but she didn't regain consciousness for awhile. Since no one in town knew her we took her with us and now she's here to stay." John said.

"I can see what you mean about his unusual terms of letting people in." Hayate said.

"Yeah, so like I said, don't worry about how the crew feels now. In time they'll get to like you as much as we seem to like each other right now." John said. The rest of the day passed away without too much going on. Eventually all of the New Dawn crew wandered back into the inn before it got too late and they all got some sleep.

It was morning and all of the crew was awake bright and early. Emanuel felt better to be sure, though he could tell his condition was still there. Frozox had put a splint around his leg at some point, not that Emanuel could remember, and he could walk on it if he didn't put too much pressure on it at any point. Thankfully, not putting pressure on one leg was a lot easier when you had four of them. Everyone else, while maybe not fully recovered, felt good enough to get going. And so the New Dawn crew moved out to find Nami's house. It didn't take long and soon they were in front of her door, looking out at the tangerine orchard that stretched on forever it seemed.

Upon seeing them come up the hill, Nami opened her door and beckoned them in. As they walked inside they noticed two children moving upstairs. The older looking child was a boy with bright blond hair, the younger a girl with orange hair a lot like her mother's.

"Does your husband know we're coming in?" Alice asked to be polite.

"Who Sanji? Ah, don't worry about him. He's not here at the moment. He's been gone for about three weeks now. He's off experimenting to see if the floating restaurant idea will work on the Grand Line. Now then, come in right here and there'll be plenty of room for all seven of you." Nami said. As the group walked in to Nami's living room they could hear some rustling coming from the closet it sounded.

"Ah, don't mind that, I'm just really bad at putting stuff away in there so it all comes falling down. Go on, sit." Nami said.

The room had two couches, each meant to sit roughly three people and a few other comfortable looking chairs. To give his leg and fox form proper space, Emanuel was given two thirds of one couch with Hayate sitting next to him. The other couch had Frozox, John and Alice. Jack graciously took one of the single seats and Koji angrily took one of the single seats wondering why he couldn't be closer to Alice. Nami then took a seat that looked truly ornate. It was clear she had a lot of money to burn at times. Then again, if what the rumors about Nami said were true, it wasn't that surprising. Supposedly she'd always had a knack for accumulating large sums of money. The only problem her crew burned it faster than she could get it.

"Well then, you're all here now. From what I understand you've come seeking information from me. And it's my pleasure to tell you that I'll answer anything you care to ask, within reason of course. And since you guys helped fight off those rather violent pirate hunters, I'll even cancel the fee you owe me for rescuing you!" Nami said with a wide smile on her face. The group looked around and decided that Emanuel should speak first since he was the one who had wanted to come here.

"There is one thing I've wanted to ask, any of the Straw Hat crew members really. The goal of the New Dawn Pirates is to destroy the World Government, or at the least remove the corruption that plagues it. But I can't imagine how to go about doing it. Now I know that the Straw Hats found One Piece, at least if any crew did they did. If that's the case then you'd have information on the Blank Century, and I think that information is critical to my goal. Any information you could give us would be most appreciated." Emanuel said. Nami seemed to go quite serious as the word Blank Century were brought up.

"You don't want the information on the Blank Century. Of that I can assure you." Nami said. Her voice was practically shaking but it also seemed somewhat depressed.

"What do you mean?! I need that information!" Emanuel said as he stood up.

"And I'm telling you that you don't! You have to trust me on this. That information won't make you happy." Nami said.

"I don't want it to make me happy. I want it to help me with my goal. I will bring down the World Government, and that information is critical to that effort. But if you're not going to give it to me, I can just as easily launch a direct attack on the government itself. Regardless, I will see my goal reached." Emanuel said.

"....You remind me a lot of him. You've got that same spirit. Tell me Emanuel, what is your full name?" Nami said.

"Emanuel D. Koertig." Emanuel replied. Nami suddenly perked up.

"I should have known better than to try and hold information from someone like you! I respect your spirit and your determination. It reminds me a lot of him. I'll give you the information though now that that's settled I think it can wait till the end of our conversation." Nami said. Emanuel agreed and sat back down on the couch. Talking like that had been tiring but worth it.

"At last! At last a path to my goal seems to be forming!" Emanuel thought.

I tried this once already today so if a double post appears, sorry.

Hey' date=' you make me feel bad Andx, I'm reading it. Just I'm not caught up yet. Also I'm making a Magic the Gathering inspired rp. Would any of you be interested?

[/quote']

Sorry about that, I'm just too used to Primal being the only one reading it. lol

I'm not sure I know enough about Magic's plot, since I believe I saw talk somewhere that there is some big story to it, to be part of it but I'd check it out at the least.

You wouldn't need to know the story at all. It's a MTG inspired rp' date=' you don't need to know how to play MTG or the book stories to participate.

[/quote']

Well in that case yeah I could check it out and maybe even join, when it's made of course.

Well it's up to you guys. Not me. So you talk to Primal and I'll talk to Club Magic.

I'll ask him about it at some point then. Do you know if Club Magic is willing to affiliate?

Surprise' date=' surprise! Yet [b']another new chapter for you guys! Enjoy.
Chapter 26 Nami's Visitor Revealed! Where is the Master of the Three Swords?]

"Well this is nice! We've got the big dreary topic out of the way and now the rest of the conversation can be nice and pleasant. Well, I should get you guys something. Anyone care for something to eat or drink? I think I've got some tea on hand. Ah, I'll just bring it out and you can all purch- I mean take what you want." Nami said.

"I didn't think I'd be forced into a crew that wants to take down the World Government." Hayate said after Nami left.

"What, don't want to be here anymore?" Emanuel questioned him.

"No, I just keep thinking about how odd this little group is and then just when I think you're done surprising me, you throw that out there." Hayate responded.

"I guess I never asked but, what are your goals? What would you like to accomplish while you're with us?" Emanuel asked.

Hayate sort of smiled and gave a single laugh at the question Emanuel had asked of him.

"My goal is the very reason I wanted to see Cat Burglar Nami. And finding Nami was the only reason I joined up with those pirate hunters. Though I never thought they'd cause as much damage to the town as they did. But I still went along with it. My mistake it seems." Hayate answered.

"So I guess the fact that you're not answering the question in combination with what you just said means we'll all find out soon enough when you get a turn to talk with her." Emanuel said. He set his head down and closed his eyes, trying to take things easy. Though it was a bit awkward as he couldn't rest his head on his right leg like he was used to since it was still hurt.

"Say Frozox, do you recall Nami saying something about a guest she had over?" Alice asked.

"Yes, she did say something about that didn't she. Why do you ask?" Frozox replied.

"Well it's just that... we haven't seen him yet. I figured he'd be around." Alice said.

"Nami said that she left this guest alone with her children yesterday so he's likely a very good friend of hers. No doubt he's upstairs with her kids now." Frozox said after thinking for a little bit.

"Wow, it's so cool how you figured that out like that." Alice said. Though her crush on Frozox was quite obvious from how she said it, Frozox didn't make much of it.

Nami walked back in with a tray in her hands. On the tray was a decent sized pot of tea and a stack of cups. Along with the teapot there was a plate piled high with cookies it seemed.

"Here you are! I made them yesterday. I used Sanji's recipe but I still can't get them to come out as good as he makes them. But I'm not a chef so I wouldn't know the finesse it takes to make things come out so amazing. I swear our kids are so spoiled on Sanji's food. Anyway, back to our little conversation. Was there anything else anyone wanted to ask about?" Hayate briefly mentioned that he had something to ask but he would wait to make sure no one else had anything to ask about.

"There is one thing I'd like to talk a bit about actually." John said. He had been reading a book while they had been sitting but now it was closed and John seemed focused on the info he expected to receive about from Nami.

"I was wondering if you might tell us about what Straw Hat Luffy was really like. You hear things about big name pirates but I doubt much of it is true. I'd like to know what he was really like, from someone who traveled with him." John said. Nami smiled a bit and closed her eyes. It seemed remembering all her past adventures was both enjoyable and saddening for her, probably because they were no longer going on.

"Monkey D. Luffy huh? How do I begin to describe that man? How do I begin to describe the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates? It brings a lot of memories to mind. I can't help but wonder how much longer we could have gone on traveling together if that hadn't happened?" Nami said. It was clear the subject was dear to her heart. Then something very strange happened. It sounded like crying. It was muffled and sounded like it was coming from the closet but it was definitely crying. Suddenly the door opened.

"I miss him!!" the voice practically screamed through its sobs. The crew saw, to their amazement, a small reindeer wearing shorts and a large pink hat walking upright on two legs.

"Chopper? I thought you were too nervous to come out around the strangers. And couldn't you have picked a better hiding place?" Nami said.

"I would have stayed in there, but then you started talking about Luffy!" the reindeer said. If what Nami had called him was accurate, standing before the group was Tony Tony Chopper, doctor of the Straw Hat crew.

The entire group recognized him as their shocked looks indicated. Initially Chopper had been mistaken for a pet and his original bounty was set at fifty beri. However as the Straw Hats continued to battle it became more and more clear to the Marines that he was a dangerous member of the crew and eventually they figured him out to be their doctor. His last wanted poster left him with a bounty of three hundred million beries. Chopper took notice of the look on everyone's faces and sort of flipped out a little. He "hid" behind Nami's chair except most him was still sticking out on the side of it.

"Chopper, there's no reason to be afraid of them. They're nice pirates, you've heard the conversation haven't you?" Nami said. Chopper slowly came up to the front of the group.

"My name is Tony Tony Chopper. Nice to meet you all." he said sort of sheepishly. He then saw Emanuel and had an amazed look on his face.

"Wow! I've never seen a fox like that! .... But something seems wrong." Chopper said. He walked up to Emanuel and began looking at him. Chopper then began speaking to Emanuel though Emanuel didn't know it only made sense to animals.

"Are you sick? You certainly look it." Chopper said. Emanuel answered and without intending to responded in a way that only made sense to animals.

"How can you tell that much just by looking?" Emanuel said.

"I'm a doctor of course! I've seen a lot of sick people in my time. Of course on the ship I didn't do much but tend to injuries but I've still seen enough of sick people to know you are." Chopper said.

"That's amazing. I guess all that time as a doctor has made that sort of thing pretty easy for you huh?" Emanuel said. The whole conversation was not understandable in the slightest to the rest of the people present.

Suddenly Chopper started behaving oddly. He seemed to be sort of dancing by moving side to side. A wide smile was on his face. He spoke, this time in human language.

"He praised me! But that doesn't make me happy! Idiot! Why would that make me happy?" Chopper said as he made his little movements. It seemed pretty obvious that he was overjoyed at the compliment he'd been payed. Chopper than returned to talking with Emanuel in animal language.

"Could you try and describe your condition to me?" Chopper asked.

"Of course. It doesn't happen all the time but there are days when I just feel tired and awful. I can't move at all usually or the slightest amount of movement could make me incredibly tired. And worst of all it seems like something in my chest wants to tear itself apart from me. It usually only acts up when I spend some time in my human form. For whatever reason staying in my fox form has helped it somewhat." Emanuel explained.

"Wait, you're a human?" Chopper questioned. The thought of a Devil Fruit user hadn't even crossed his mind.

"Yeah, of course I am. I'm the captain of the crew here. What, did you think I was just some animal." Emanuel said.

"Well if you're human then there wasn't any need for us to talk in animal language!" Chopper said, this time in human language so the others could understand.

"What do you mean?" Emanuel asked, a bit confused.

"We were talking in animal language the whole time. You must not have noticed as either would make just as much sense to you in that form. Anyway, do you have a doctor in your crew?" Chopper asked. Frozox stood up.

"Right then. You're captain's quite ill isn't he? It seems he had a recent attack of whatever his illness is, most likely as recently as yesterday. Is that correct? Chopper said.

"That's correct. That was a skilled diagnosis considering you've only seen him a few minutes." Frozox said.

"Well, I think I know what's wrong with him." Chopper said, quite serious for once.

"You do?! Please, tell me!" Frozox said. "You must be able to understand how frustrating it is to not be able to help someone that's suffering right in front of you. Please, if you know anything that might help Emanuel's condition, I would be very grateful." Frozox said.

"Well, the symptoms Emanuel described seem to be consistent with a condition that I've only seen one other time. But if it is that same condition it'll be cinch to fix it!" Chopper said.

"Wait, you're telling me Emanuel's sick? Emanuel, why didn't you say something sooner?! I could have gotten Chopper right on you if you had!" Nami said.

"... I don't want anyone to worry about me." Emanuel said.

"Please, Dr. Chopper, what is the condition exactly? I mean, at least if it's what you think it is?" Frozox said.

"Well, if it is what I think it is, Emanuel is currently being rejected by his Devil Fruit." Chopper said.

"What?! Is that even possible?!" Frozox said.

"Again, I've only seen it once before but that was definitely the problem. It seems that certain Devil Fruits don't match certain people on some sort of level, a wavelength is what I like to call it, that I don't entirely understand. Fortunately, I know how to mess with that wavelength. I've done it for years with my own Devil Fruit. Anyway, because of this mismatch the Devil Fruit wants to separate itself from the person who ate it. The only person I saw it in was a Zoan type as well. It seems that in human form the fruit has an easier time rejecting the person. So Emanuel made the smart decision and forced his fruit to be compatible with him by staying in his fox form. How long have you been in this form?" Chopper asked.

"A few months at least. With very minimal time in my human form for all of it." Emanuel asked.

"Did you revert to your human form some time yesterday?" Chopper asked.

Hayate and Emanuel both knew the answer to that question.

"Yes. Briefly; for a few minutes at most. To win a fight actually." Emanuel said.

"Then that was enough for your fruit to begin the rejection process again. And it looks like your fruit really doesn't want you around anymore. I mean, another few minutes in your human form yesterday might have..... well, let's not dwell on that!" Chopper said. Hayate didn't know what to think.

"You're kidding! He endangered himself that much, just to fight with me. A great honor indeed. He required his human form to finish that fight and doing that almost got him killed. Emanuel, you've won more of my respect than you already had." Hayate thought as he sat there next to Emanuel.

"So then, Dr. Chopper, you're saying you can do something about it?" Frozox asked.

"Yes. I've messed with my wavelength from time to time, to produce different forms for fighting. And like I helped the other person I saw this condition in, I can mess around with Emanuel's wavelength to the point where his fruit will behave like it normally would in other people." Chopper said.

"Can you begin the treatment? And one other thing: please teach me how to make this medicine. I have to be able to look after Emanuel." Frozox said.

"Uh... heh, umm.... well. The fact is I don't have most of my stuff with me. I left a lot of my doctor supplies back on Drum Island. I really only have first aid stuff with me. I won't be able to treat Emanuel unless you all come to Drum Island." Chopper said.

"Then we'll do it!" Frozox said. Alice and other members of the crew echoed the reply. They wanted Emanuel to get better. In truth many of them hadn't known much about Emanuel's condition. But after figuring out how serious it was there was no way they were going to let him go without treatment.

"No, there's no need to. I'll be fine. I just won't ever go into my human form. I'll be fine." Emanuel said. The crew all protested.

"Captain! You'll have to be at your best to complete your goal. Please, we need to get you treated." Frozox said.

"....Fine then. We'll be going to Drum Island after this." Emanuel said.

"Then we can travel together on the way there!" Chopper said, excited.

"This was all great and all but we got seriously sidetracked from the initial subject. You wanted a description of what Luffy was like, right?" Nami said.

"Actually, if Chopper is going to be traveling with us then I suppose we'll have plenty of time to ask him." John said.

"Well that's certainly true. Well it saves me some time then! So anything else anyone would like to bring up?" Nami asked. Koji stood up but before he could say anything Nami threw a book at his head, effectively sitting him down again.

"What was that for beautiful?" Koji said dazed.

"Call it a hunch." Nami said. Hayate then figured he should ask about his question.

"Actually, there was one thing I'd like to ask you. My goal is not unlike a member of your crew. Roronoa Zoro's goal was to become the strongest swordsman in the world. I too share this desire. And as Zoro holds that title, you can imagine what I want. The only thing is, finding him or even information on him is proving incredibly difficult in the East Blue. When I heard talk that you might be here I knew I had to come see you and ask. So please, do you know anything of Zoro's location?" Hayate asked. He was on the ground kneeling, ready to bow if he had to.

"You're looking for that blockhead? Well good luck with that! His sense of direction is so bad he probably fell of the planet two years ago!" Nami said as she began to laugh.

"Nami! That's so mean! Zoro's not that................. you're right! We've got to go find him before he really does fall off the planet!" Chopper said. Nami calmed him down.

"Anyway, back to a serious answer of your question. The last I heard Zoro was in a dojo he set up near the end of the Grand Line. It was so people could come openly challenge him for his title. That had a year long run." Nami said.

"By any chance, do you know anything of his record in that time?" Hayate asked. The subject obviously meant a lot to him, there was a lot of energy in what he said.

"The last I heard, he was somewhere around four hundred and seventy wins to no loses. As I said, the dojo had a year long run but that stopped about three years ago. Because he was in a formally established place it became rather easy for the Marines to come start bugging him. So he stopped and is no doubt wandering the Grand Line as we speak. I wouldn't bother looking for him, if you're going to find Zoro he'll be the one to somehow run into you." Nami said.

"Four hundred seventy wins! I should have expected as much from him. Regardless, I won't quit. I will find him some day and win that title. I thank you for your information Ms. Cat Burglar." Hayate said.

"Please, just call me Nami. Anyway, did anyone else have anything they wanted to ask about? If not, you're free to spend the day here. I have room for all of you and I'd like to make sure you're all in great condition before you leave. And, I'll need some time to get you the information you want Emanuel." Nami said. She took her leave of the room and went upstairs, no doubt to check on her kids.

"Well, we've certainly found a lot out today. Much more than I thought we'd ever learn." Jack said. The crew agreed and all moved about the grounds of the home whether to relax or simply enjoy the scenery. Emanuel, with John's help, had moved to the top of the hill the home was set on and looked out over the place.

"You seem to be in better spirits Emanuel." John said. He himself was reading. He'd decided to stick around Emanuel who would no doubt need aid to move anywhere. Warping made it all very easy.

"I'm finally getting somewhere. That's more than reason to be happy." Emanuel said.

"True enough." John said.

Inside Nami was in her room sitting at a desk. She had her head down in her hands and was thinking about what she had to get for Emanuel. Chopper, who was also concerned about it was also in the room.

"I was hoping to never have to give this to anyone. This information, it's too much. Too much for anyone. Too much for Luffy." Nami said.

"They certainly seem spirited enough. But can they really go through with k-" Chopper began.

"Quiet! You know as well as I do that we're not to openly speak of it. This information should only be read." Nami interrupted.

"Sorry." Chopper said, sounding depressed.

"I'm sorry Chopper. This makes your visit a little less pleasant than it was originally planned to be. I didn't think this would be coming up. But... Emanuel seems like he can really do it. Maybe, we should put our trust in him." Nami said.

"He's a lot like Luffy. He's even a D." Chopper said.

"Yeah, maybe... just maybe we've found the inheritor of Luffy's will." Nami said.

"Let's hope." Chopper said.
