Time Psyduck
"Why thank you," Valentine replied, with a brief bow. "Then I think I'll start with...he picked up a black and gold luxury ball from his belt. "Bellossom dear, time for a battle," he called as he threw the ball. In a flash, a small green figure, with flowers on it's head and a leaf 'skirt' appeared. It seemed positivity excited for some reason. "Well then," Valentine continued, "shall we begin? Bellossom, open with Sunny Day." The little pokémon eagerly began to spin, giving off a glow, which was suddenly shed, bathing the battlefield in sunlight. LightShock
"Looks like you ran right into a trap' date=' Typhlosion, Flame Wheel!" Typhlosion rolled into a huge ball of fire. Before it could react, the Starraptor pecked the flames. It was then sent into the wall by the Flame Wheel tackling it. "Good job, Typhlosion. Now, even if Starraptor is fast, it can't dodge Swift no matter what!" Stars shot out of Typhlosion's mouth, which homed in on the Starrapto, which was still by the wall. "See what I mean by my best?" Leonard said with a bit of a grin on his face.[/quote'] "Hmmm...Look's as though i've underestimated your skill...Very well, no more! speedBreaker, Use Steel wing, destroy tose Swifts while Spinning!" MArk shouted, and the Staraptor pushed off of the Wall, and Spun around like a Drill, Dodging any Swifts that went past him, and any Stars that were on Target did Minimal Damage to the head, and just bounced off the Steel Wing."Now use U-Turn!" Mark commanded, and before the Typhlosion could move, the Staraptor had Got a Light hit on it, and then turned around, and with a Flash, IT had returned to it's Pokeball."I'm sure you know that U-Turn allows me to send my pokemon back after hitting yours..." HE said, grinning.
Magnet Soldier
Kris looked at the battle between these two very experienced and powerful trainers as it heated up. However, it seemed very one sided. The champion of Johto was down to his last of three pokemon, yet he seemed happy with himself. Kris wasn't surprised, the latest pokemon out by the Johto champion was a powerful typhlosion, one that could rival Kris' charizard. "This is just great." Kris exclaimed, excitedly. "Both of these trainers are excellent and skillful. And now, the last pokemon on each side. Of course the gym leadern still has his staraptor, but It might not come out again." Kris analysed. OOC: IS ANYONE GOING TO CHALLENGE THE FROZEN GYM OR WHAT?! Jk, challenge whenever you want.
~Kip~
"Ok, so which Pokemon will it be next that might pound me?" Leonard was almost sure he would lose, judging by what the Salamence had done to his other Pokemon, and the fact that Typhlosion was getting tired. The fight with Starraptor had tired him out, so he was sitting taking a break. Leonard just hoped that Mark would take a few to pick his Pokemon, so that Typhlosion could gain a little energy. "Maybe I shouldn't have sent a newborn Mudkip to face a Salamence." He slapped himself on the forehead, while still awaiting the next Pokemon. LightShock
"Hmmm..." Mark glanced at Typhlosion. It was definately worn out, and now that Staraptor was in it's Pokeball, It would be able to rest in case It was needed again...This was the perfect Opportunity!"Alright. Time to meet the Pokemon Who has been with me right from the beginning! Lightshock, Go!" Mark shouted, throwing his pokeball, and Sending out His Most Loyal Pokemon, his Manectric, who Landed on all 4 feet Gracefully, Growling and staring down the Typhlosion."Now you'll have to deal with my closest partner..." HE said, smirking.
~Kip~
"It won't matter, you gave Typhlosion enough time to rest. Not only that, Typhlosion's been with me since it was a Cyndaquil, when I was 7. We won't lose! Typhlosion, use Flamethrower!" A straight beam of fire cam from the Typhlosion's mouth. It wacked the Manectric, making it tilt it's head not to burn itself. Typhlosion was now stepping closer and closer to the Manectric. "Now, Blast Burn!" The Typhlosion was merely a few feet away from Manectric. The Blast Burn, aka the strongest fire move known hit head-on. The Manectric was trying desperately to resist, but it couldn't. LightShock
OoC: That is technically Godmodding Grasslander. You should've just Fired Flamethrower and waited for me to react to that. IC: "Err, Not Quite so fast! Lightshock, you use Flamethrower as Well!" Mark shouted, and the Manectric released a Flamethrower of it's Own, Which pushed back against the Typhlosion's Flamethrower. MArk knew that, coming form an Electric-type, He'd never actually be able to outpower the typhlosion's Flamethrower. He was merely Using it as a distraction. While The Flames began to subside, Lightshock darted to the left of the Typhlosion."Now, use Thunderbolt! go!" MArk shouted, and the Manectric unleashed a Powerful Bolt of Lightning, heading straight for Typhlosion. OoC Before you ask, I checked Bulbapedia. Manectric CAN Learn Flamethrower Via TM. ~Kip~
ooc: i know. my friend has 1 in emerald. "Typhlosion, move, then use Rollout!" The Typhlosion rolled into a massive ball, rolling toward Manectric. Leonard knew that sice Rollout was a Rock-Type move, it would be super effective against an Electric-Type like Manectric. He also knew that there was a rock in the way, so Typhlosion would trip and go into the air. Leonard was going to wait for Typhlosion to be near the wall it would be sent flying into. He would then have Typhlosion jump of the wall, turning it into a full power body slam. Even if Manectric moved away from that, Typhlosion would still be able to roll into it with Flame Wheel by hitting the floor as a flame ball and coming at Manectric. ooc: 1. Typhlosion can learn Rollout2. The above said didn't happen yet, it was in Leonard's mind, if you couldn't tell.
LightShock
OoC: I know Typhlosion can. Mine on HG did for a while. also, Rock-type move's only do normal damage to Electric-types. It's GROUND Attacks that are super-effective. IC: Mark however could see the rock that he typhlosion was heading for, and decided to cut it off at the Pass."Quick Lightshock, use Iron Tail! Smack It in the other direction!" MArk shouted, and the electric-type Sprang forward, it's Tail Glowing and Hardening. It then Jumped and brought the Tail Crashing into the Fire-type, intending for it to begin rolling in the other direction.
Grunt Issun
"Why thank you' date='" Valentine replied, with a brief bow. Time Psyduck
"Double team," Valentine called. Just as the Rattata's fangs were about to sink into her, Bellossom accelerated rapidly away, but not without harm - as she span off several leaves floated down around the Rattata. Bellossom began to circle it at high speed, giving the impression that there were several of them, all facing inwards, waiting to strike. "Repeat," Valentine called, and the gaps between the images were filled with more flickering Bellossoms. It seemed as if Emlie was now totally surrounded. "Super fang may half a target's heath if it hits," Valentine told the younger trainer, "but what happens if it's a glancing blow, I wonder? The important question now, however, is how will you hit Bellossom after double team?"
Grunt Issun
"LIKE THIS" "EMLIE, HIT ALL OF THEM BY USING YOUR BLIZZARD ATTACK!!!" Jake shouted "RAAAA. TAAAAAA" Emlie screeched, a strong blowing snow force blew destroying all of the clones as it hit the only true bellosom "And if i reccal. ICE is strong agianst grass. isnt that right emlie" Jake mused. "Rata" Emlie agreed
Time Psyduck
OOC: Declaring that your attack hits is Godmodding (although it probably wouldn't matter if you were using Swift or something similar). You should declare what move you make and then wait for a response. "Double-edge, from the rear," Valentine called. The clones faded as the real Bellossom, directly behind the Rattata, suddenly swerved from it's circular route and rushed headlong towards the rat pokemon. "Of course Ice moves do well against Grass-types, but only if they hit, and using an inaccurate move on a moving target is not an easy trick to pull off," Valentine informed his opponent. "Just another glancing blow, I'm afraid." Still, Blizzard could become an issue, so I'll have to take out that Rattata quickly. It seems it has been trained, although most people would have let it evolve by this point. Interesting.
Grunt Issun
OOC: ok but blizard hits all opponents at once. just saying IC: "Double edge hmmm? well it will hurt your bellosom, but it hurt emlie to. Emlie, if you want to take a break you can, but if not..." Jake told his pokemon "RATTAAA!!" Emlie screeched in reply, saying it would not give up. "Heh, okay boy. BLIZARD AGIAN!!!" Jake screamed. Sub-Zero999
"Vaporeon that's a nice Pokemon. Alright Swampert use earthquake!" suddenly, the whole gym started to shake in fear. Time Psyduck
"Bellossom, resume position and use Sythesis," Valentine called. Bellossom whipped out of the way of the second ice attack just a moment late, taking another glancing hit, however a moment later it was meaningless, as, bathed in light, the scratches and marks on the flower pokémon's body began to disappear - not that anyone could see it, with the speed she was moving, having resumed it's orbital motion around the Rattata. "I have to say I'm impressed," Valentine continued. "I didn't think I'd see a Rattata as powerful as yours. Still, all good things must come to an end, as they say. Bellossom, leaf storm, if you please." Suddenly what seemed to be a shaft of greenery shot up from a point in the ring, and swept around it, forming a wall of flying leaves surrounding Emlie. "Now," Valentine stated, seemingly without emotion. The whole arrangement suddenly collapsed inwards, swamping the area within the circle of Bellossom with razor sharp leaves flying at high speed. Grunt Issun
"Heh, emlie if you please. You see pokemon like emlie have an amazing base speed, almost as fast as magikarp which are extreamly fast. combined with his small size, DODGE" jake explained and commanded, but it was just a little late and Emlie took a small hit. "rrgh, Emlie go up to bellosom and pin it down, then use blizzard." Jake said. Emlie ran up to the bellosom and jumped onto the bellosom, then used blizzard "DODGE THAT!!!" Jake screamed gleefuly
Time Psyduck
"Substitute," Valentine called, and the Rattata found itself obliterating a copy of Bellossom, the real one spinning away once more and resuming it's circling motion. "Bellossom, keep up the double team, and follow up Sunny Day." With another flash the field once again became bright. "Your Rattata may have a good base speed," Valentine explained, "but Bellossom can use the sunlight to power itself up, allowing it to move at higher speeds than normal whilst ever Sunny Day is in effect. Still, that Rattata is very powerful for something that's unevolved, and I have to say you've rather impressed me. What's your name, boy?"
Grunt Issun
"The names Jake. lets see here. two skimming blizards should have taken away about just below half of your health. a substute takes away a fourth and a half bitten super fang takes away another fourth. that means you have about 1/16 or so health left." jake told the man "So tux still confident, Emlie FINISH IT WITH 1 MORE BLIZZARD!!" Jake shouted
~Kip~
"Well, my friend, this is where YOU come into error. Typhlosion, grab it's tail!" As the Typlosion came out of it's rolling ball, it whirled out it's arms in an attempt to grab the Iron Tail. It also took a defensive stance, as if being ready to avoid something as well. Leonard knew that if he couldn't pull this off, however, he might have no more chances. Typhlosion, I know we can do this... if I just trained you a bit more to get you ready! I'm sorry, I know 3 Pokemon is a bit much for you, but, I've been with you all your life, and I know you can do it! Leonard thought to himself. Time Psyduck
Valentine smiled. "So, trying to add up the damage? Not a bad move. Unfortunatly you failed to factor in one thing. Because Bellossom used Synthesis to it's maximim effect just after your second Blizzard most of that damage has already been recovered. Bellossom, open the circle for Blizzard and use Magical Leaf." Where the blizzard would have struck the circle of Bellossom images, the images faded, the attack moving through with little harm. At the same time glowing leaves began to fly inwards from the circle and towards the Rattata. Even if it moved, the leaves were locked onto it and the hit was inevitable. Grunt Issun
"EMLIE!!" jake screamed out as he was hit. "Emlie, i may call you out later but....you need to take a breake. come back." jake said. Emlie walked back to Jakes side and laid down. "Okay, GO VULPS!!" A vulpix apeared from a pokeball onto the field. "USE FIRE BLAST!!" Jake screamed. "you made one vital mistake when using sunny day with a grass pokemon. FIRE IS POWERED UP IN SUNLIGHT!! So since this attack is super effective it will take away anything you restored with synthisis and still do a ton of damage" Jake smiled
Time Psyduck
Once again, Bellossom rushed out of the path of the attack, but was too slow and span to a halt with singed leaves. She stood, staring defiantly at the Vulpix, breathing heavily and covered in ash and burns. "All right, Bellossom, take a break," Valentine called out, but she didn't move. "This isn't your fight, and if you keep going you'll get injured, and I couldn't stand to see that, so come back." Bellossom relented, and Valentine recalled her to the luxury ball and swapped it for two others. This is the most obvious answer, but I may need it later, if that Rattata comes back out, so... He returned one of them, and pushed the button to open the other. "Cradily, standby," he called, as the ancient plant pokémon emerged on the field. "Selecting a fire-type to counter my Sunny Day is a smart move, but you're not the only one who can make substitutions, and this one is about to change the game. It may not be the most beautiful, but it's efficiency cannot be denied. Cradily, show your stuff. Sandstorm." A wind began to blow around Cradily, lifting up sand from the ground. More streamed from the pokémon's mouth, joining the wind and building a sand tornado, which expanded sideways, swamping the field, as well as darkening it, nullifying the effects of the sunny day. The expansion stopped just in front of each of the trainers.
