Dusk watched the rockets explode in the sky,he laughed

 

"Ohhh,look at that! Think their tough huh?"

 

He jumped off the elephant and ran,shotgun ready

 

"Well COME ON!"

 

He couldn't see much other than outlines,but he shot at what moved,he picked up thw sword and started cutting,he finally realized he'd been shot in the arm and leg,he spun and slashed with the sword but quickly got lost in the mist,he felt the bullts,the burns from the plasma

 

"Arhhhh! Bad idea! Get out! Wayyyy to many!

Hm. Should I help the Speciesist? Ken'Tak looked at the Spartan. He could die in a few seconds. He sighed and used an active camo. He then started running towards Dusk. Whatever was shooting, it was shooting fast. It also had a good speed too. He pulled Dusk up and over his shoulders, running towards the elephant. "Dumb human. Rush into battle, I won't get hurt." Ken'Tak spat as he got to the elephant. He threw Dusk to the side as he jumped on a mongoose. "I'll get the ship. The plasma turret should work."

Alex looked at the needles in the wall, and then turned his head to Tom.

"Thanks," He said as he stood up, "Nice shot." He was about to start directing the Elephant again when an elite carrying the Spartan jumped on and effectivley stole a mongoose.

"Well, that was interesting." He pulled on the controls and made the Elephant move where he wanted. Opening a channel, he spoke to ever friendly he could reach.

"Okay folks, we have a new objective. Get to this position and try and bring any weapon you can find, we may need some heavy ordinance if we're going to find Spartan-117." He then thought of the rocket explosions, "And because we have no idea what can stop this new species, try and stay clear until we have a plan against them."

"Yes sir." Ken'Tak then raced to his ship on the mongoose. The ship being Covenant or not, it was still a great addition to the UNSC weaponry. They were fighting an unheard race and a bunch of Covenant forces, so why not add enemy weaponry. The ship could go faster than the Elephant, had a good amount of firepower, and could make a good shelter. If they didn't want the ship, Ken'Tak would still bring it, he didn't need someone's approval to bring a helping hand to a fight.

I know OOC only posts are against the rules, but I felt that this piece of information was much too important to keep for a post worthy of writing. For those of you who haven't checked the Club page (Which you should have done) this is the image for the New Covenant species that we've been fearing. Kudos to jeroukoo for finding the pic and inventing the idea for the new species. [spoiler=New Species]

"your welcome." tom says while he jumps off the elephant, and running towards the covenant ship. he says over the comm, "Hey elite! is there room for one more on that ship?" he gets next to it, pulls out his smg, and starts shooting into the mist. he sees an energy sword hit the ground, and does a jumpy flippy roll thing. he picks up the energy sword, and slices, with the small amount of sight he had, and sliced a creepy black monster in half, then jumps out of the mist, only getting shot, and burned a couple times. he falls to his knee next to the ship, and starts shooting again.

Ouch! Man they are uuuugly,scary but ugly.PErfect for a coveneant

 

Dusk stared at the elite,it had saved his life,insulted him but saved him,he picked himself up and limped toward the ship

 

"Get me a birds eye view,this laser works well on them,all need is a good shooting position."

 

He saw another spartan,with a sniper rifle,runing oward the ship and took a detour in the mist,killed some of the things,but got shot up,he was on his knees,giving what dusk thought was cover fire.

 

"Go sniper go! Forget it!"

Ken'Tak arrived with the ship, humming with power. It felt good to get this thing back in action, after all the years of it being locked up and grounded, it was good to shoot things with this again. Ah, the good old days. Beating the crap out of UNSC soilders, killing Spartans... Ken'Tak smiled as he lowered the ship. "I need a team on this ship, I'm not charging out there alone!" Ken'Tak looked at the new Spartan, hoping he would not choose to go on the ship.

dusk used his shot gun as a cane and quickly boarded the ship,he knew him and that elite didn't get along,and he probably wouldn't like him on his ship

 

"oh well..."

 

He sat on the edge of the plasma turret and got his laser ready.he patched his com onto a signal used for covenant fleet broadcasts

 

"Hey cross lips...Thank you,i know it means Jack to you but I thought I just outta say it...I Would have died out in that haze...and I've done nothing to actually prompt you to save me...So thanks.

Jason banked, and swiftly approached the large group of Covenant vehicles. "Making my approach. Probably won't be on comm for a while," he said, quickly clicking on the comm. Then he turned it off, and also deactivated his IFF tag, so the Covenant wouldn't know who he was. He saw with satisfaction that he was getting closer and closer to the vehicles. [i]Now to let them know who it is.[/i] Jason hit the firing stud, launching a green blob of energy. The energy arced, before slamming into a Wraith tank. The Fuel Rod did not have much of an effect on the Wraith, but the response was immediate. All the Ghosts began firing on his lone Banshee. Nearby Banshees banked, and began coming after him. [i]That's right, you bastards. Come and get it.[/i]

Alex deftly maneuvered the Elephant's controls and moved the vehicle towards their objective. He hadn't heard that the other Spartans we're having any trouble, so he focused on the waypoint in the distance. He heard a small beep in his head piece, then another, then another he moved his eyes up. A small red warning light was flashing on his HUD, one of the Spartan's had recieved a deadly wound and his stat's were falling fast.

"Whose been hit?" He shouted over the Comm, he focused his eyes on the Spartan tag and read AMAJ-S417.

Thats the Major... He thought. He hadn't heard from the Major since they had split up the group, he pulled up his superiors stats and noticed that he was dangerously close to flat lining. Checking the location he noted that the Major was on the Elephant.

"What? That doesn't make sense." But it did make sense, he hadn't heard from the Major and Alex hadn't checked the Elephant over when he boarded form the back, which left the front section hidden from him. He flicked the Auto-Drive on and jumped down into the main section quickly turningand lunging forward. To his left, leaning up against the lower section of the dividing panel was the Major. He pulled a Med kit out of the wall and opened it. Alex's HUD said that the Major had been hit in the leg.

That much was obvious by the hole in his armour. He ripped the body suit and pulled off the thigh plate, there was Bio-Foam in the wound. It must have been working, but somehow it had gotten loose, possibly if the Major had moved. He poured some more Bio-Foam into teh wound, but it didn't help the Majors stats. They kept dropping, he injected a Stim into the majors blood stream and tried to fix the wound was best he could.

"Come on don't do this," He shouted," COME ON!" "BEEEEEEEEEEP" came the reply from the Majors icon in his helmet with the symbol going dark and eventually fading off the screen. He fell back against the wall and removed his helmet staring at his former superior officer. He didn't say anything for an age as the Elephant kept moving.

Eventually though he started to move as if by instinct. He stood and replaced his helmet carefully laying the major down and putting a sheet over him. He walked back to the controls and pulled it back into his control.

"All Spartans." Alex said over the radio, "This is Spartan-O001. Alpha Major Spartan-417 Shaun Forge is deceased. A focused Plasma shot from a Beam Rifle penetrated his leg above the knee. It ripped his artery and he bled out. Whoever tried to patch his wound... You did a good job, but he was bleeding too much. Therewas nothing we could have done even if we had given him full attention. The next highest ranking Spartan is..." Alex checked the Roster in the Elephants data base, the next ranking officer was Dusk, being a Brigadier General, but Alex couldn't help think about the info that was also posted in his visor.

"He's been out of action for over 50 years. He didn't even know that the Master Chief was MIA until they woke him." Alex thought to himself. He made a decision which he shouldn't.

"I am now in Command of the operation. I repeat my last order. Get to that position."

He switched off his Comm and couldn't help but think to himself, "Damn!"

"Your welcome, human." Ken'Tak didn't look at him as he was talking to him. He was to focused on the enemy. "Get on that turret over there! Spare no time!" Then he heard a voice over the com link. It was a Spartan. "This is Spartan-O001. Alpha Major Spartan-417 Shaun Forge is deceased." Forge... The great human officer... "Leader, what is our next move?" Ken'Tak awaited his orders, he had confidence in this Spartan.

"Just get to that position, we'll figure everything else out then." The elite had called him leader, and Alex realised that he was now runnig the whole of the ground operation. He knew what he had to do, but he didn't know if he could do it. He brought up the Major's file and modified it with his status.

"Spartan's never die my ass," He said to himself. They needed to get the Chief out before anyone else died. That was if Spartan-117 was even on this planet for definate.

Jason listened to the message over the comm as he eyed the Banshees coming after him. Making a decision, he sighed. Taking a quick bank, he spun his Banshee around to face the others. He could see by their slow motions that they were confused. Good... He continued dodging the blasts from the Ghosts below, and began what some would call insane. He clicked autopilot on in the Banshee, and took his hands off the controls. He pulled three cans of C-12 out of his pack, and began spraying them onto one of his gauntlets. Soon, it was the size of a small basketball. With a satisfied grin, he pulled his glove off. Suddenly, the Banshee rocked; it had been hit.

Ken'Tak nodded his head. "Until next time, Major." Ken'Tak pulled the ship around. "Change of plans, Human!" Ken'Tak yelled, "We are going to the new Leaders location! Your Major's dead, shot in the artery." Ken'Tak then focused his view on the screen. "Keep your eyes open, Human!" Ken'Tak slammed the gas petal and then saw something over the horizon, little dots. "Major, we have a problem."

"Deceased? What are you talking about He's just Lost,sure he'll turn up sometime or another,just throw him in the M.I.A list we'll get to him after we find john."

 

Dusk was tired of Spartans getting lost,maybe he just give them a damn map

 

"I remember Seeing a reallllly old movie,pre 2000s and in it,these two guys are sent to uhh this house to pick this thing up for their boss,something of his I reallly can't remember what though,but One of the guys is pretty much heckling the crap out of these poor kids who hardly know what kind of hell they just stepped into.And After going on a monologue about burgers one of the kids starts trying to talk his way out,then the guys shoots one of this his buddy laying on a couch,then again he goes about on some monologue again and then he puts his gun to this kids head and Says;The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.Then him and his buddy just open up on this poor kid,man...I love that movie...Welp' while I'm up here-"

 

He stares down at the thick haze

 

"Allow me,to lay my vengeance Upon thee!"

 

He began firing the turret into the mist,just seeing weapons drop and screams of pain and terror

Tom stands up, and sees a grunt, on a ghost flying towards him. he snipes out the grunt, ad jumps on the ghost. he gets to the controls, but is very cofused. all he sees are shining buttons, a steerind wheel like object, and alien words. he presses a large green button, and the ghost starts going forward. he then sees a lever, he guesses must be the brake. he starts steering, but decides that he's not going ast enough. he pressses a blue buttons, and it activates the turbo boost. he flies fast towards the elephant, when he hears alex over the comm. "D***it! now were down one man!!!" he says angrily, over the comm. he keeps drivng, when he sees a green ball of gel fly in front of his ghost, and explode, throwing him off. he looks over to where it came from and sees an at least 15 foot tall, gold armored hunter pointing his assault cannon at him.

Jason scrambled as his creation began to fall; with some luck, he managed to grab it before it fell completely away. With a sigh, he reached into his pack, and pulled out the detonators for the explosives. After a few minutes, he was satisfied. As a last thought, he pulled out a couple of Plasma grenades he had acquired, and attached them as well. Well...it doesn't look like much, but it will definitely take out those Covenant Ghosts...Bye bye, birdie... With a little snigger, Jason dropped the creation, activating the grenades, and priming the C-12. Then, he turned his attention to the Banshees: by his count, there were eight of them close, with thirteen further away. Too easy...

"I got 'cha Little guy! Now go! John ain't gonna wait forever! And I think he'll he pissed enough that His boy got himself frickin M.I.A! Now go kid!"

 

He switched the comm channel to Include the Ship in his broadcast

 

"I got a random question,We even know a safe place to hang up? Or are we just on a reckless rush to John?"

(IC): Kyer flew out of the blue into masses of covenent near where the other soldiers were, "Sorry dudes, I've been a little lost.." While he said this he sprayed the fire of his SMGs everywhere masses of covenent falling everywhere, covered in blood and refurbished Kyer had a new look in his eye, he said into the comm, "I have a picture guys.. Me and some other guy.. No idea who he is but i'm going to find him again..." Kyer lept at a hunter and climbed up its arms and onto it's neck, he then unloaded both clips of his SMGs into the back of it's neck it fell to the ground dead.. "I'm Back!!"
