"Just as good as a Spartan." Ken'Tak stood up and walked over to the Jackal. He was trying to crawl away. Ken'Tak grabbed the Jackal's arm and ripped him up. He spoke in a language not understandable to Kyer. There was mostly hisses, a few grunts, and Ken'Tak even put a gun to it's head. After the conversation was over, he walked over to Kyer, with the Jackal still in his hands. "He is going to help us with reactivating the ship." Ken'Tak looked over at the Jackal, trying to show no fear. "But I also found out some bad news about the Covenant." Ken'Tak slowly looked back at Kyer. "They have found a new species to help them with their cause."

ooc: Is that okay? Making a new species to fight?

IC: Kyer looked at the Jackal trying to show now fear and laughed at it, he pushed his face close to the Jacakls, and tapped him on the head, "Never seen one of these up close.." Kyer made a puzzled face, "Bloody strange things they are..." Kyer looked at the elite and said "Good job there, so we will get the ship up and going, so you will help us find the MasterChief.?

"Spartan 117. One of the greatest, they call him." Ken'Tak looked at his ship. "Maybe I could help 117. Or i could leave him to rot, like my friend." Ken'Tak looked back at Kyer. "He shot one of my comrades in the leg. And left him to rot." Ken'Tak then walked into his ship. "This can only fly a short period of time. I can't get off this rock yet, or even patrol the planet. I shuld be able to get to your camp though."

@jeroukoo: Hmm. I don't really know. If Blacx doesn't post soon, it means I'm going to have to make some decisions.

 

Alex activated the Battle Rifle scope. There were no Covenant near him or in the direction the Elephant was facing. He jumped down and checked the Elephants map. There was a location marked on it.

"Well, theres no better place to go than there." Alex said to himself. He switched on the Mobile Bases engine and started it on a course for the marked position. He activated the auto drive, and moved out on to the turret. Switching on his SPI, he pulled himself to the turret and swung it round checking for any possible threat.

Jason spun around in the air, and noted that the Elephant had begun to move. Quickly, he checked, and saw that someone, the IFF read Spartan-O001, had activated to auto-drive. He began slowly spinning over it, keeping watch for any Covenant. "Come in, Spartan-O001. This is Spartan-O919. I am in the Banshee above your head, and will give you air support against the Covenant. Let me know if you need anything, or if you want me to blow something up; I'd be too glad."

Kyer heard the remark over the comm and chuckled to himself, he wasn't sure why he thought it was funny, Kyer walked into the covenant ship that belonged to the elite, he looked around, there was loose wires everywhere, "Ken'Tak, I might be able to fix some of this stuff for.." Without waiting for a response he walked to where 3 very thick wires were hanging down, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 red, Hmmm, If I reconfigure the gears here, take that bit out of the wire, attack yellow to green then stretch the insides of red and wrap around the other two wires... Kyer was thinking mechanical, when he finished the whole ship lit up blue "What the hell!!" Kyer lay down so he don't get hurt and then the ship stops vibrating and the lights go off, just after 2 cupholders pop out of the wall next to himm, "Oh come one!!" Then a big plasma turret pops up off the top, "Nice..."

Alex pointed the turret up, "Sure thing, you've got better sight than me so keep me informed." He said. Alex, not needing to use the turret any more, jumped off and checked the Eephant' systems. Everything was fine, so he took the chance to sit down. He removed his helmet and stretched his arms. It was a bad idea to let his guard down, but he hadn't taken the chance to have a good rest since they had gone planet side. Closing his eyes, he went into a sort of meditation, keeping him awake, but letting his body and mind turn down a gear.

Dusk woke up,he was in some sort Of unsc facility,he looked around and saw the normal white coats of lab geeks,someone noticed he had woken up

 

"Ahh I see our sleepying beauty has woke up,have a nice rest princess?"

 

Dusk stood up,towering over the Lab coat

 

"wanna say that again?"

 

The lab coat laughed and walked away,motioning him to follow

 

"I have some briefing to do.You see,your cryo pod malfunctioned,you've been in there for about...8 years? And in that time One 'master chief' or blue leader,as you may knew him,caused an explosion on a forerunner instelation called the ark and took all coveneant troops,and a parasitic form called the flood with it,effectivly ending that war...and we're working with the elites too.Now that you know the basics I'll tell you the mission."

 

"Sneak onto an elite world and kill 'em all?"

 

The lab coat sighed

 

"Far from it,you're on a retrieval mission,you're going after the Chief,you're being transported via Frigate class vessel,then you will drop from high orbit to the nearest outpost on the planet to rendezvous with the search team,you've been requisitioned one spartan laser,and shotgun,lucky you."

 

"Shouldn't my commander officer be giving me this Info?"

 

The lab coat turned and frowned

 

"Your commanding officer was Sgt.Avery Johnson...He's dead,so I had to do it,happy? Now get going,we have to study how you survived this long in almost sub-zero temperatures for 8 years,without dieing."

 

"That's an easy one Doc,Spartans never die."

 

Dusk pushed through the lab,and caught the frigate.He greeted the captain with a salute and took a pod,he watched as they went through slipspace and then saw the planet,he smiled when the captain told him this was his drop point.He waited as they brought the pod to docking,and laughed as it dropped,he felt the Gs growing as he began to enter the planet,when he finally landed the door jammed so he kicked it out

 

"Stupid tube."

 

He walked briskly to the rendezvous point and saw a Box labeled 8648

 

"Must be mine."

 

He popped open the buckles and removed the large Laser and the shut gun,he checked the ammo and puth them both on his back and took a seat on the Box

 

"Great...I'm early..."

 

He found an old com unit and picked it up,he tapped into the elephants com-channel

 

"Yeah,hey does this work? I'm Dusk,your back up? Look,can you guys hurry up,I forgot my Checkers so you can imagine my boredom.I repeat are you receiving this transmission or Am I just talking to the wind?"

((@O-M-G- A SHEEP: It's fifty years since the end of Halo 3 I'm afraid. Not 8... so that would be 58 years? No need to change you previous post, just thought you should know.))

 

Alex heard the Elephants Comm start to crackle and a voice come through. He picked up his helmet, and ran a wire from it to a port in the Elephant's wall. He put the helmet on and started speaking.

"No this isn't the wind. I think the Elephants called Behemoth." Alex joked, "This a secure channel, so I can only assume you are UNSC. Also there are only meant to be Spartans on this mission, which means your a Spartan." He checked his HUD, the signal was coming from a short way away, "State your designation Dusk." He unplugged himself from the Comm and made a jump up to the next level, wirelessly connecting himself to the Bases systems. He returned the Elephant to manuel control and switched on the auto turrets. Deftly manouvering the controls, he changed the route they were following to make it easier to get a pick up, and not ruin their arrival time.

Jason also heard the voice over the comm. More reinforcements? How many Spartans do we need on this mission? Do they really find us Spartans this incompetent? Shaking his head inside the Banshee, Jason sighed. Clicking on the Banshee's comm, and switching the channel over to their secure one, he swerved around, keeping above the Elephant. "I'll keep you covered from the air, Spartan-O001. As for keeping you posted, I see no Covenant forces at the moment. I will keep you posted...after I blast anyone out of the air, of course."

"This would be spartan 8648,and i can see your Transport from here,If you don't mind me asking sir I heard we're working with the Elites now,is that true? I really have to know."

 

Dusk stared off into the distance watching the elephant get closer,remembering the war,how is was impossible to find a planet without Elites,and even less possible to get out without anyone dieing,he remembered those swords,he could snap a jakle sniper like a twig,twist a grunt like a bottle of wine,but those elites,and those swords...he entire unit...He almost flashed back,but the cool thing about the UNSC is thye could help you forget what you didn't want to remember.

AS the elephant drove by, tom jumps on the side, and gets on the top. he sees alex, but decides to not bother him. he walks over to the turret, and sits next to it.he picks up his binoculars, and looks around, to see if there was any enemys, but he couldn't find any. he clicks on the comm, and says "spartans, theres no nearby covenant enemies around, you can re..." then he suddenly gets hit by three large light green spikes, that goes strait through him, and almost hits alex. he falls over with a large "UUUHHHGGG!!!" still on the comm. "Never mind! theres an unknown force around, watch out, he has a needle rifle, and deadly accuracy..." he passes out...

Dusk heard the scream through the com and took the laser off his back and hopped off the box and flipped it over

 

"Goddammit! I hate damn snipers!" he popped his head over the box and zoomed in with his laser and the outline of a figure with a file,reloading

 

"He's reloading! I can't make out his species,something new that's for damn sure! I'm taking the shot!"

 

he heard the humming of the laser charge and felt the kick when it let off the shot,he watched as the body flew off his sniper spot and through the air he got at a sprint,he found the Needle rifle and picked it up.

 

"Hey...Permission to keep the enemy weapon? And you guys should check what the hell that thing was,Kinda weird finding Aliens with Cov tech and no alliance to 'em."

[Master Fury]

"Spartan-8646, you need some help? Or are you fine all by yourself?" he said into the comm. He saw some Brutes and Jackals coming down a hill. Dammit, now I'm gonna have to take them down to... Wait, my Warthog! he thought as he jumped into the Warthog and set the auto-drive on. He then jumped into the gunner seat and shot down the Covenant forces, one after another. This might be easier than we thought! he thought before coming over the hill and seeing tons of Ghosts and Banshees searching for UNSC lifepods. Then he turned of the auto-drive to wait for UNSC reinforcements.

tom is siting in a small chair, with no armor, and no weapons. he sits there and watches some sort of class. it looks like there teaching him, and some young (around 15) kids, how to use an smg. he sits and watches the class for a while, but then he wakes up. "wha... what just happened..." he says weakly. "di... did someone get the sniper?"

Jason also noticed the large massing of Covenant forces over the hill. "They must be looking for the Chief," he said over their secure comm. Eying the Banshees and Ghosts, Jason got probably the craziest idea of his entire career. Of course, that's what made him such a marvelous Spartan in the first place: his crazy ideas that always seemed to work. Sizing up the number of Ghosts, Banshees, and various footmen, Jason nodded. Yeah...it looks possible. Won't be easy but...hey, it'll be fun at least. "This is Spartan-O19, requesting permission to engage the Covenant forces...don't worry, I have a plan...Trust me."

Kyer listened to Jason's comm message and said over the comm "You crazy bastard..." He got in the turret on the top of the covenant ship and saw it had options it was a strange button push system..

"Sweet, this thing has everything!!" He switched it to Sniper and zoomed to where Jason was, he then went to the covenant forces, he noticed they were carrying a cryo tube, but it was empty, "What the hell are they up to...?" He shot the cryo tube so mist went everywhere he then switched to Machine Gun mode and shredded into the mist, the gun jammed after about 4 seconds of fire, "Aw man...." He got off and took out his sniper, No point... I can't see anything and no point wasting ammo....

Alex ducked when he heard the shots and Tom scream. A needle rifle round was lodged in the Elephant's grated floor. He heard the tell tale sound of a Spartan Laser firing and hitting a target. The Comm activated and both Dusk and Jason spoke.

"No need for permission, do what's needed." Alex went round to see how Tom was doing, Needles penetrated his armour. He pulled them out and filled the wounds with BioFoam. Then he heard what Dusk said next.

"Wait what does it look like? What is its body mass made of?" Alex had a bad feeling.

Tom, slowly stands up, and says "thanks" to Alex. He then turns around quickly, pulls out his sniper rifle, and shoots randomly into the mist. (The faint muffled sound of a jackal getting shot could be heard) "All right! Lucky shot #3!" then suddenly, three more needles fly out of the mist, but this time at Alex. Tom quickly runs over, and pushes Alex out of the way, and the needles get stuck in the wall behind them.

"how the hell should I know! This laser isn't big on scope.I made out a faint outline,from a good 20 kilometer distance,it died,so personally,that's all i need to know."

 

He attached the laser to his back and checked the ammo on the needle rifle,a 340 counting the magazines he found nearby,he took a flat out run to the sound of the shooting,he quickly found the elephant and dove through the open front,just dodging a plasma mortar

 

"Hey! Who's bright idea was it to fog up my damn view?Never mind,hey guy who has that idea mind if I join up with you? I got a shotty full of buckshot just begging to make some corpses!"

"It's sure by my Dusk, get over here immediately, and sorry for the mist." Kyer could see the outline of the spartan running for the elephant, he got off the now useless turret and went to Ken'Tak, "How's it going?? We gotta get a move on hurry up!" He looked at the Jackal it was trying to sneak away, Kyer walked over to it and grabbed it, he shook his head "Uh, uh, uh. Where do you think you're goin'?" He threw it towards the elite, "He was tryin' to escape..."

Dusk climbed his way to the main compartment on the elephant and watched the Jackal fly into an elite,he spun and grabbed his shot gun and had it in the elites face

 

"Hey cross lips! Nice to see some of you are still alive! You have any last words until I hang your skull from the front of my armor?"

 

He felt a hand on his shoulder and he spun to face Kyer,he lowered his weapon and his head

 

"Let's do this,I'm about as crazy as I'm gonna get!"

after tom stands up, and brushes some of te dirt of his armour, then goes back over to the edge of the elephant. he looks throught the scope of his sniper, and notices that the smoke was starting to clear out. he notices, what looked like an energy sword, so he aimed near it, and shot, to hear it it the ground. "grr!" he shoots again and this time he hits it, but it doesn't die, but it falls to the ground, so he probably shot it in the leg.

Kyer looked at the spartan with the Shotgun, "Don't forget dude, we're on the same side. Don't point that thing at us and we won't point them at you..." He looked to the mist, "Uh-oh Energy swords, I'll try and fix that turret!" Kyer jumped up top and began rewiring the turret, he continued changing wires and cutting them and sticking them to other wires until he heard a love humming noise coming from the turret, he got up and go on, there was another option on the gun "What the heck?" [shotgun] "Sweet." He put it to Sniper and zoomed to the energy sword, "What the hell!??" He turned on his comm "That is not covenant!!!" He fired a few rounds into its head and there was only growling, "Bullets nor Plasma affect that thing, I'm going Rocket." He switched it to rocket and fired 3 rounds towards it, to his surprise the alien caught the rockets and threw them into the sky and they exploded without harming him, "Dammit...."
