Jason opened his eyes, and looked around. All around him stood the other Spartans, and one he didn't recognize. What's going on? The last thing I remember, I was about to tangle with a Jackal Sniper somewhere, then there's a pain in my chest, and I...did I faint? He tried to sit up, and winced. He reached down and felt his chest. There was a wrapping around it, and there were two dark red splotches. Did...did something stab me? He looked around again at his allies, and his eyes came to rest on the Major. "What...happened?"

Umm, I enter via Drop Pod right?

((Yep. Drop Pod, aka SOEIV. Also Blacx, you realise that Master Fury's rank of General is the highest possible rank at all in the UNSCDF marine corps and the second highest rank in the army and air force. That would make him higher than the majority of the characters we have seen in the Halo universe...))

 

Alex was stood by the entrance to the cave they were in, carefully watching the movements of Covenant forces. They had gotten rid of the group that had ambushed Jason, but more had come and now they were searching for the "Demons. He had managed to put down a few jackals and a brute with little to no sound. But more and more enemy troops were starting to come this way.

Alex activated the Line of Sight Comm and began speaking, never taking his eyes away from the search party"Guy's I think we may need a sniper over here. Also if we've got a rifle silencer, probably best to use that."

Man I hate these SOEIV drop pods, always got a rough landing on 'em... Kyer's SOEIV dropped right next a lake, he got out coughing a heap, "Damn smoke." Kyer looked around studying his surroundings, "Better try to link up with the other spartans.." Kyer took out his Magnum and turned on his Comm, "Hello? Any spartans online? Come in, Spartans, come in, This is Spartan 176, Kierryn, Private first class, hailing any other spartan or UNSCDF Marines..." Kyer strted to walk out of the small forest he had landed in.

Alex turned his head to the falling pod. It glowed from the heat of entry and it was obvious to everyone who could see. Unfortunatley that was him and all covenant in the area.

"Guy's we've got UNSC coming in hot." He said over Line-of-Sight, but that didn't matter because the call from the Spartan in the pod came out on all channels. "sheet"

He switched to open radio and spoke, "Spartan 176, this is Lieutenant Alexander Jones Spartan-O001. We've got your waypoint. Theres plenty of Covenant activity here, you may want to stay quiet. Or not, your choice." He pulled up the location they were holding and sent it through the comm, "That's our position, we can use all the help we can get."

Bio(Optional): Ken' Tak was on a mission 1 year ago with 10 other Elites. He was looking looking for a team that was investigating the planet for colonization that went missing. As he landed they headed out to look for the team and found nothing. Right before they we going to report, something attack them and destroyed the ships electrical systems. Ken' Tak's team died in the attack and Ken' Tak barely survived. He is currently hiding out in his ship.

"I see your status and position, good thing I got my Sniper with me, Weapon of choice I guess, I also have a silencer so I'll keep it down." Kyren zoomed in the scope of his sniper rifle towards the position that was marked on the Comm, "Holy S***! I'll take out as many as a can!!" Kyren squeezed the trigger there was a soft Psff of the silenced rifle firing, A Brute fell to thee ground, Yes. Another soft Psff indicated the death of another Brute and a Jackal, "I'm taking them out, so keep your position, I'm on my way!" Kyren took out his silenced battle rifle and started running for their position that was marked on his Comm, every 100 or so meters soft Psffs could be heard and then followed by the death of one covenant soldier.

The pod that lit up the sky was matched as the sun rose. "All righrt boys get to the Elephant, I don't care how, Just do so," The Major began to run. He marked the waypoint that lead to the Elephant on all of the Spartan's HUD. "Make sure Jason gets there, The Elephant is stocked up with the Medical Supplies." The Major arrived at the Elephant ten Minutes later. "Were are my Squadmates," Major stated over the Comm.

"Major, I'm on my way, I'm about 3.7 km away from the Elephant, I'm encountering loads of covenant, I-i'm running low on ammo.." Kyer was running through a field of grunts and jackals the only sounds heard were screams and gunfire, there were masses of dead aliens on the ground, Kyer had taken many shots and was low on HP, but he continued to run, firing his SMGs as he ran, "Major, I request backup, Repeat, I request backup! -Argh!!" At this point Kyer was just about done for, luckily he had a stim pack on him to heal himself so he did so, and onward he ran, Blood stained the ground from his enemies and himself.

Jason, though wounded, had slipped away from his squad. And this time, he remembered to grab his rocket launcher. He heard the call from Kyler, and activated the comm of his battered helmet. "Spartan-176, this is Spartan-O919. I am in close proximity and am on my way to help. Be prepared for explosions; they're going to be big." Clicking off his comm, he put on a burst of speed, wincing as the wound in his chest opened again. Damn...I'm in no condition to be doing this kind of thing. But what choice do I have? Jason skidded to a stop at the top of a hill. Looking down, he saw Kyler running from a huge mob of Covenant. "Time to get to work," he whispered to himself. He pulled out his rocket launcher, and also a can of C-12. Slipping the rockets out of the launcher, he shook the cans, and sprayed the foamy explosive around the warhead tip. "Perfect..." He slid the rocket back in, and hefted the launcher. "Now to see if this works." He aimed into the middle of the rainbow mass, and pulled the firing stud.

"S***!!, Thanks O919, Appreciated." Wolfe clicked off his comm and again started firing at the covenant, *click, click, click* "Oh No!! Out of ammo, lucky I have my battle rifle.." Wolfe threw away the SMGs and took out his battle rifle and again started killing more masses of covenant. Wolfe clicked on his Comm, "Major, Major, I am approximately 2.2 km from the Elephant, could you send the Mongoose for a pickup, but first get Jason, he is wounded, then get me okay?" Wolfe put in a burst of speed holding the battle rifle with hand his chest with the other, Damn.. I need to get healed quickly it might all be over....

Jason clicked on the comm. "Forget about me for the moment, get some help to Spartan-176....Kyler, get down!" Jason watched as Kyler dove for the ground, and assumed that he had heard. A moment later, Jason's rocket hit, and detonated. A split second later, there was another explosion. A shockwave rippled outwards, followed by a wall of flames. Wow...that's a little bigger than I had expected. The wall of fire continued spreading outwards, until it finally dissipated. Jason looked at the burned area, and quickly calculated. Let's see, that explosion had a radius of...300 meters! Damn...I'll have to remember that. With a jolt, he realized that only the Grunts and Jackals had been completely wiped out.

Dylan saw some UNSC forces a bit ahead of him and took cover behind some rocks. Are they here to find Master Chief too? he thought. Well we might need some backup, cause Covenant never gives up.

OoC: Sorry S919, but it's Kyer not Kyler, Just thought I should let you know.

 

IC: "Jason, don't be stupid, you're wounded, Major, Ignore Jason for now, pick him up first -- Gargh!" At this time a giant long purple needle went straight into Kyer's chest and half out the other side, he fell to the ground, his helmet rolled off, revealing his short white hair and pale skin. Kyer crawled with his arm to his helmet lay down on his back and removed the needle from his chest, " ARGH!!!!!" He turned on the comm and said, "Major.... Don't bother with me... I'm done for..." Kyer fell to the ground with blood trickling out of his cobalt armour turning it a dark purple.

Jason shook his head. That damn fool! Why can't he just do what he is told? Clicking on his comm, Jason spoke. "Major, this is Spartan-O919. Spartan-176 is down, I repeat, Spartan-176 is down. I see no choice but to retrieve him. I will reopen radio contact when it is safe...Jay out." He clicked off his comm, then leaped off the hillside. He saw that there were Hunters lumbering toward Kyer, and launched his final rocket at them. When it detonated, he saw that they had both been wiped out. Jason nodded in satisfaction, then pulled out his SMG. He fired it at the aliens as he ran to Kyer's position. Stooping, he scooped up Kyer with one arm. Turning, he fired his SMG again, and took down an overeager Brute. Then he spun, and began running.

"J-j-j-Jason... What are you doing.... Why save me.. I am going to die anyway.." Kyer still had enough strength to fire off his battle rifle at some aliens behind, when he ran out of ammo he threw 3 grenades, the aliens didn't notice and walked right over them then *BOOM* the grenades detonated and the aliens died. Kyer was leaking blood all over Jason's armour. "I'm sorry J-j-jason..." Kyer passed out on Jason's shoulder.

Jason growled. He reached into a thigh pack, and pulled out a canister of biofoam, and a wake-up stim. He stuck both of them into slots in Kyer's armor, and eased the liquids into his body. You better not die on me...I was saving those for myself. But I know that you need them more. Hefting Kyer, Jason continued running, evading all the blasts that came from behind him. Suddenly, there was a quiet DUNK!ing noise, repeated four or five times. sheet...Needles! Jason began zigzagging, hoping his maneuvers would help him to dodge the needles. One almost stuck in his helmet, but he jerked his head at the last second, and it flew past him. Figuring now was better than later, Jason opened his comm. "This is Spartan-O919. I have retrieved Spartan-176 and need pickup on the double. I repeat, I have retrieved Spartan-176, and need immediate pickup." Halting, Jason looked behind. He had managed to make some distance between the Spartans and the Covenant. He dropped Kyer onto the ground, and pulled out a standard first aid kit. He worked quickly, and patched Kyer's wounds. "There...now at least you won't bleed to death." He hefted Kyer, and began running again.

[Master Fury]

He saw some Grunts and Elites hiding among the rocks. Darn wimps. Striking someone while they're wounded! He shot them down with his Plasma Rifle. That takes care of them!

Kyer woke up, "What the heck, Jason what happened? Let me down I can walk now." Kyer hopped off of Jason and took out his sniper, he began sniping brutes and hunters, "How do you like that huh!?!! Teach you to mess with me!!" He then took out his magnum and began firing rapidly into the mass of aliens yelling loud swears while he was pulling the trigger until *click-click-click* "Grrr... Well they're gone now, but just in case.." Kyer threw a plasma grenade as far as he could, it only just reached the covenant aliens and killed a heap of them.

Jason continued running. Jesus, is there no end to these guys? They just keep coming and coming...Alright, time to lay out a welcome wagon. Jason spun around, and pulled out his partially depleted can of C-12. He set about spraying. After a minute, he stepped back, and nodded at his work. I guess that'll have to do. I can't waste all by C-12 now; gotta save some of it for later. Inserting the detonator into the foam, Jason set it to proximity. Turning, he sprinted away before it activated, so it wouldn't register him. Now it's time to get out of here, and quick. Jason began running harder than he ever had.

Kyer wasn't far behind Jason, "Dammit where is that damn Evac!?" While Kyer was running he was spinning around firing off rounds of his sniper into the crowd and blood was spraying up out of the crowd, "Damn we gotta keep on runnin hard don't we?" Kyer put in a burst of speed and caught up to Jason again maintaining his steady breathing and pace said "When... Do you.... Think the.... Evac will be here...?"

Jason shook his head. "I don't know. Just keep running and firing for now." Jason looked back. An eager Brute was getting ahead of the others, and was catching up. Well, I hope he likes my surprise. The Brute leapt suddenly, and jumped over the C-12. Damnit, how did he know? Suddenly, Jason stopped. He spun around, ready to face the Brute. It came at him head-on, and he remembered that Brutes were stronger than Spartans. But he had his launcher. Though it was empty, it would make a good club. "Spartan-176, this is an order. Keep going. I've got a little problem I've gotta take care of. I repeat, this is an order. If you do not obey, you could be charged with insubordination."

"Bu-But, Argh never mind I'll help while I'm going then." Kyer kept running even though he disliked the order but he kept firing back at the brute, not looking where he was going he ran into a big rock and got knocked out cold. Just my luck... Out cold again.. Can this day g et any better? Serious-s-sly... Kyer went limp, eventhough he was unconscious he could still hear the static noises of his helmet Comm system.

Jason stopped, waiting for the Brute to reach him. It roared as Kyer's bullets peppered its armor. "Spartan-176, what do you think you're doing? Run!" He didn't get a reply, and didn't get a chance to either. The Brute reached him. He was prepared, and swung his launcher. It connected with the Brute's head, but only managed to knock its helmet off. The Brute swung one of its fists, and caught Jason in the stomach. Jason let out an "oomph!" and flew backward. He hit the ground, and rolled. When he stopped, he was about to stand, when the Brute brought its foot down on Jason's chest. Jason roared in pain, and the Brute chortled in laughter. Gritting his teeth, Jason muttered, "Laugh at this, bastard..." He stretched one of his arms out, and was barely able to reach the detonator for the C-12 he had laid down. It beeped, recognizing something in its path, and detonated, sending a fiery column skyward. Smoke hid Jason and the Brute.
