Akumakagemaru
@ Creator: Okay, see you. And yes, I'vw never been good at RISK, but I havent' played it recently, so I imght've improved lol. @ deathghost: I knw you're not dumb, just my game is going to require constant micromanaging, even for the smallest roles. This isn't goingot be a quick game, I fully expect gameplay to last for years. @ Pikachu: I have...I've played nearly everything from Fire Emblem to Supreme Commander (briefly), and I enjoy more detailed games. And congrats deathghost, you made the 100th post! +1 Rep! Sploda
I've played Command&Conquer, Warcraft I-III (not WoW), Final Fantasy Tactics, Risk, Chess, Othello, and to a certain extent Spore counts too. I'm swamped with work (found out this morning!) so I might not finish the map today.
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
lol brilliant example! Anyone know how Sun Tzu defeated a larger army when it was about to attack an ally? Nope' date=' I do not know. Both sound like good ideas to me, though I can't be on much longer. Will th RISK-style game be played over a long period of time, I take it? Risk is a long period Strategy and tactic game. I'm pretty good at it depending on the version.

Akumakagemaru
Accepted. If learning is your goal, then you'll complete it here. Whether a master with experience, or a student with passion, all who appreciate this rare art are welcome here. @ Ninjew: As I said, I'll wait until everyone's had a chance to answer, or until tomrorrow. Anyone who answers before that gets 50 points, which wil be the first of many questions like this. And yes, I'm familiar with it, I even played a game today (though not a great one; it was against my parents, who aren't so good, sadly). I just wanted to make sure of the time frame, becuse, as you may have noticed, I'm a bit pressed for time lately. @ Le Createur: That's fine, we don't need it anytime soon. I really appreciate your doing it however, and if you need anything at all, dont' hesitate to ask. What little I can provide is available to help. Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
Yeah, if you play against some really good people. The game could last maybe like a day. Its so intense.

Akumakagemaru
I did, they just wanted to help me end it quickly, since I was getiting 20+ armies each turn, I had 3 continents under my control, and my father only had 1 army each on all but 3 Asia teritories. My mother had Australia and a couple Africa territries.
Sploda
Orly? I've made a comeback when I controled Australia, Siam and China only. The rest of it belong to my opponent. I used rigged dice and won XD. Cheating isn't cheating when you play a war game.

You only win a war game happily by using your true power to outcome your opponent.
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
I can win by just controling australia. It is very simple.
Akumakagemaru
lol. Please explain, Ninjew? This is gonna be good...
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
Its called building up units, then take over indonesia every turn after leaving one unit on it to be taken. Gather cards and keep building units. Then sweep over asia in like 3 turns. The head over to africa then europe. Then south america and finally north america. If you do it right, you get extra cards each turn.
Akumakagemaru
That sounds plausible. I prefer to control N. America, personally, and try to sweep over to Europe.
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
I like actually Africa or Australia to start because there are limited access points which means you don't have to focus on your borders as much. I basicly sit and just take one spot every turn for a card and build up units quickly.
Akumakagemaru
True, that's what my mother did. She was the hardest to beat. But if you can claim all of N. America , and grab Europe, you can quickly get 15+ armies each turn.
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
Yeap, but you have to think long turn, not short. Or at least attempt to predict your opponents moves or force them into situations you want them to take.
Akumakagemaru
Exactly. But while building up, you can easily control a large continent and jst reinforce the few borders.
Ultimate Assassin Ninjew
The larger the continent, the more borders there are to protect, meaning you will have to spread out your forces, weakening your defense heavily.
