I would be quite interested in participating in one of these "Lessons". They seem intriguing.

True. I'm not so good at explaining things like that myself' date=' though I do try. I'm better at acutally doing it, and best with actual tactics, rather than the overall strategy. Generally speaking, real life tactics are done at a split-second, with little or no time to plan.

You can't really organize an entire army in a split second. =/ It requires pre-planning depending on the location of the opposing army, terrain, and other variables in large and small scale combat to use your force to the best of it's potential. But yes, soldiers do need to take initiative and try to seize what they see as the tactical advantage as best they could.

Desert - sand everywhere. Some trees and cactus around. Little game around. Normal day time setting. Mostly sun, some rain, but only for a small amount of time.

Rainforest - trees, brush and other various plants everywhere. Wet ground in places. Rains occasionally. Lots of game around. Normal day time setting. Mostly sun, but blocked by trees.

Mountain - Many rocks and caves. Some game. Mostly sun and some clouds. Normal day time setting.

On water - Water all around. Clouds on occasion as well as storms. Mostly sunny. Normal day time setting. Some game if found.

Underwater - Water all around. Weather is not a factor. Time is unrelative unless you have a specific amount of time. Lots of game.

Air - Lots of sun, some clouds. No game. Normal day time factor.

Upper Atmosphere: Lots of sun. Barely clouds. No game. Normal day time factor.

Space: Sun almost always. No air. No game. No time factor. No weather. Extreme cold however.

Use rock to sharpen sticks into weapons and create spark for fire. Keep warm and kill any game found. Create a sign somehow to be found upon search team. Stay hydrated by melting large amounts of snow. Keep out of sun whenever possible. Keep dry.

Arctic: Read snow. Instead of using snow, you use ice however. Stay out of sun always unless needed to be out.

Desert: Dig hole into ground. Gather any tree brush and help use for shade. Use some sticks for weapons. Stay out of sun whenever possible. Stay hydrated by drinking water from cactus. Kill game when found. Make sign to be found. Make a fire for the night if possible.

Rainforest: Find cave if possible. If not, make shelter out of brush, trees, etc. Make weapons out of anything found. Kill any game. Make adequate drinking container or gathering source, but keep it moving to avoid stagnant water. Keep dry. Try to get warm by making a fire.

Mountain: Find cave if possible. Use rocks and any possible limbs from trees as weapons. Kill any game found. Keep dry. Stay out of sun whenever possible. Stay hydrated. Try to get warm by making fire.

@Ninjew and Akuma

Obviously you don't know what your talking about.

Nanites are meant for repairing the body, not breaking things down. Thus both of you are wrong and don't know what your talking about.

@DL

Drop it or else.

@BB

I'll be getting that thread set up later (around 6-7 my time) today.

Thats' strategic. I'm talking tactics, as in making sure that you and your allies are positioned at 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions (or equivalent) to fire from two directions and maximize the firepower you can use (assuming you're fighthing in close quarters, and you can't squeeze all of your troops into a single location), cutting off a potential escape, while preventing friendly fire (as would be the case if positioned at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock, for example). Tactics is like playing Halo. Strategy is like playing Civilization III.

They can do both. It's the same process, really, just reversed. Although the movie itsel fis stupid, Path of Destruction on the Syfy Channel proves my point. If you think about them logically, you'll agree.

I'm pretty sure it would be pointless, since nanobots can already both destroy and repair.

Also, Akuma, apparently the definition of military tactics is "the art of organizing an army". Strategy is a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal. So your example will be a bit reversed, actually. Strategy and Tactics should always walk hand in hand together, however, if you wish to succeed against an opponent.

It can't happen. Nanobots are similar to nanites except that they are preprogrammed and can repair or destroy. Nanites can only repair. Trying to fuse the two is like trying to fuse Chuck Norris and Mr. T.

It would be a Nanibot.

Nanny Bot

So a maid.

Am I close? :D
