This may be a really outdated and "cliche" idea, but it's worth a shot.

 

Yugioh obviously stole Psychic from Pokemon. So why doesn't Pokemon still something 'useful'?

 

I was thinking a Light-type. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but it's a good idea on paper, and can combat the problems with WonderTomb, as any Light-type attack would be 4x effective using my battle chart. And some moves (such as Flash Cannon and Hyper Beam) that are totally mistyped can get a chance to shine (pun?).

 

Honestly though, a new type isn't necessarily what we need. If anything, Nintendo needs to get some of their creativity back when designing the fifth gen. While this may seem stupid at first glance, why not base Pokemon off of other Nintendo characters? :/

Normal / Steel

 

And it can have a pretty diverse movepool, considering the amount of robot masters you defeat and steal the power of throughout the series. Probably high SpA and Spe, with medium ATK and shit defenses.

 

(Generic Mario Pokemon Name)

Fire

 

Fire Punch, Flamethrower, Hydro Pump (because of FLUDD), Hi Jump Kick, et cetera.

 

And obviously high investment in ATK, and maybe even DEF, really.

 

And the list goes on and on. Luigi could be Fire/Grass, Peach could be Psychic/Light, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

 

It may seem uncreative now, but it's better than randomly popping prevo's and evo's out of nowhere. Even though I highly want some evo's. :/

 

@ Zeo: It's not really YCM that's causing the stress. I can't really explain it, but I have fifty things that are going on at the same time, so many things to keep track of, and I'm just genuinely stressed out. :/

 

And correct me if I am wrong, but the lowest chance you have of attacking (without accuracy mods, and assuming 100% accurate move) is 1/8 or 12.5%. That's because of confusion (50/50), infatuation (50/50) and paralysis (50/50). So (.5)^3 is (.125). I may be wrong, and there may be a fourth psuedo-status that I missed.

Not that your grammar is bad, but you might make typos. And then all you need is to copy and paste it in.
