Clair, no one is calling you out. I understand that you didn't ask for people to suck your dick (erm... that really was in bad taste), but they did anyways. Brushfire was not at fault. If you were there during the first Striker thread (if I can get a link, I will), you would understand why he was raeging. We don't have anything against you, it's just hilarious how the populus of YCM are complete idiots who can't make up their own mind and follow the opinion of the person who has the most reps. And in that case, it was you.

That's tough. I'd have to say absolutely nothing. And if you play suspect, you'll see that all too well. Nothing kept semi-stall down as well as Mence did... D:

I didn't say you were following Clair. I said people were. The general populus of that thread pretty much followed Clair. Clair came in and said something like "I don't know who this guy is, but he couldn't have done something so bad, blah blah blah, I forgive him, give him a second chance." Look, I cba to quote the post and bring it here. Basically, without knowing the backstory, she forgave some random guy. Okay, fair enough. But if you look at the general feel of the posts afterwards, they pretty much all said the same thing, in accordance with her post. I am not blaming her for anything, but I am laughing at YCM's population and their inability to make up their mind. Maybe it was a cowinkidink (sound it out and you'll know what I meant), but I doubt it, because YCM doesn't have the smartest of populations. Brushfire is not wrong in the thread either, and if you knew the backstory to the Striker incident, he has multiple valid reasons for not forgiving the guy. Both sides are right, and I have not a damn clue why a fucking fight and argument broke out in a YCMDrama thread. Clair and Brushfire are being bashed by the opposite side, and it's just stupid.

On another note, ScarfVire does a lot better with a Naughty nature, because it can survive two Scizor Bullet Punches (no SR, so carry a spinner (Starmie is good)), and you don't need a +SpA nature to net kills with Flamethrower or TBolt. It also does better against Luke, although I'm not sure what a +2 Adamant ExtremeSpeed does to it.

I love how when we said that we're not being followers, and we're not accepting his apology, people started posting that "they may forgive him, but they don't accept his apology" and crap.

Just remember that this is a Pokemon thread, so at least try to keep some Pokemon overtone to your post if you want to talk about YCM Drama. I honestly think the entire thread got out of hand, and I was the first one to report it. Too bad we don't have a damn General mod.

And what does Gliscor counter other than no Ice Punch Luke? Does it really do anything? I guess it does somewhat wall Breloom, seeing as it resists Focus Punch and won't take crap from Seed Bomb or Stone Edge anyways, but it can't do much via Earthquake, and it would not like to get Spored.

It's OU, so it has to be at least decent. It makes a good Physical wall, but it doesn't have the best typing. No resistance to SR (although immuninites to T(Spikes)), weak to Water, doubly weak to Ice, et cetera... the two positive things are resistance to Fighting and immunity to Earthquack.

But what really does it wall outside of Lucario and Breloom? Gyarados gives it a STAB SE Waterfall, Dragonite and 'Mence give it Draco Meteor, so it really isn't all that useful.

God damn... Eury' date=' you fail at life.

LUKE = LUCARIO

OH, AND 'VIRE = ELECTIVIRE. GYARA = GYARADOS. SKARM = SKARMORY. ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO KNOW?!

stfu up

Oh, and Darkrai = Darkrai. Just in case you thought it was Tyranitar or something. <_<

I can play Pokemon battle theme on piano. But very slowly, and I usually make a bunch of mistakes. Granted, it's my first day learning the damn song, and I do have a note key.

I tried using Gliscor on my old Shoddy team and it always held up quite nicely, but never had the strength to do anything offensively. As a result, it often died without even making a dent in the opposing team.

Then again, maybe I was just doing it wrong.

It is extremely defensive, I'll give it that. 75/125 physical defenses are really good, especially with the typing, But it is lacking in offense. Sure, it does have base 95 attack, and it does get STAB Earthquake, but if your opponent has a Gliscor, you know it is either running a Baton Pass set or some weird attacking + Taunt set thing. Basically, it's walled really easily. Earthquake/Taunt/Roost/Toxic (lol, first set on Smogon) seems to be viable, and as the set name Stallbreaker implies, it breaks stall. But if your opponent has an Earthquack-resist with an Ice move, you are boned.

I use it on semi-Sandstorm teams, and I do a gimmick set. Sand Veil and Brightpowder bring a 100% accurate move down to 64%. I run Sub + Toxic + Roost + Taunt. It's a hilarious staller. Sub and Roost are perfect stalling moves. Toxic everything, and Taunt all possible PHazers. It has problems with faster things, but you can Toxic while they break your Sub and gtfo out of there. It OBVIOUSLY has problems with Steels, so I run Heatran to deal with 'em.

I hate it when I go to this club and have no way to contribute to the topic cause I don't have any idea how to competitive battle.

But I'm going to say this, I had 10 cup noodles in the course of three days.

It was AWESOME!

Also, what type combo would you like a pokemon to have.

Id's like to see a ghost/steel rust monster.

Personally, I want to see a Fire Ghost. Obviously based on Hell. Water Ghost would be cool, and make it so it is only found in a ship like the decrepit one in RSE. A Rock Ghost (I dunno, make it bones of a dinosaur?), A Steel Ghost (Like Nex said), Normal Ghost (Weak to only Dark, without Foresight, etc.), Psychic Ghost (Why has this not been done yet?), Non-Shedinja Bug Ghost (Can't be that hard... can it?), A Bird (Not just Flying) Ghost, a Fighting Ghost (Only Weak to Psychic and Flying, and could work well, with a stat balance), And a Grass Ghost (HAUNTED FLOWER POT!)

Now, Non-Ghost would be Steel-Grass or Fighting-Dragon. Basically, All Dragons too.

Clair, you want a Dark/Dragon? I wished Zekrom was a Dark/Dragon.

'Cause my first YCM username was DarkDragonX. Oh my god, that was so long ago. I am lulled into memories...

Eh, it's not as confusing as you think. You don't need to know how to battle, you just need to know how the metagame works.

Basically, www.smogon.com is your main resource for everything. You can look at a Pokemon, be like, "Well hurm, dis Blisseh right har has some high ech pee and some high special deefanse. I say it shall be a special waull!" And you'll be right. Or you look at a moveset and be like, "Well hurm, dis Heatran right har get some cool moves like Dragon Palse n Eard Powah. I'mma thinkin' he should be a Scarfer!" And you'll be right.

I just looked at Ubers, and I fell out of my chair laughing. I saw Wobuffet was an Uber, and thought 'Makes sense'. Then I looked down one ore and saw Wynaut! XD That's hysterical!

EDIT: I also noticed Borderline contains some of my Favs (That I had on a team together before):

Gallade

Staraptor

Yanmega

Porygon-Z

Man, I love teh Z.

@Dark: Yep. It seems perfect. If they do make one, the design better be badass. I will be very disappoint if it isn't. D:

Also, a Poison/Dragon would be cool, though it would open up some weaknesses.

Offtopic- I just found out that I was accepted for a summer job at the local cafe. ^^

There's nothing much to do at my dad's, so why not make some money? Besides, I have to stockpile my cash so I have enough for all of Ninty's great upcoming games. <3

Wynaut is serious shit, whether you believe it or not. Despite it sucking major dick in Ubers, it is still way to overpowered to let in Standard play.

Basic rundown on the tiers.

Ubers: Anything deemed too powerful for OU.

OU: The most overused Pokemon in the standard metagame.

BL: Banned from UU, but do not have enough usage to be OU.

UU: Pokemon that are underused in the standard metagame.

NU: Pokemon that are never used in the standard metagame.

NFE: Not fully evolved.

The different metagames:

Ubers: Allows all Pokemon.

Standard: Allows all Pokmon except Ubers.

Underused: Allows all Pokemon except Ubers, OU and BL.

Neverused (not a big metagame): Allows all Pokmon except Ubers, OU, BL and UU.

Little Cup: Allows all but some of the Pokemon in NFE.

Basically, Standard is the one that is most played. I don't know the exact number, but if a Pokemon shows up in more than one in twenty teams (or something), it is deemed OU. If it shows up in more than one in fifty teams (or something), it is deemed UU. If it is not shown that much, it is NU. Ubers is Pokemon banned from OU; BL is Pokemon banned from UU.

However, there is one more metagame; Suspect. This is when Pokemon are in "limbo", or not in a tier. If a Pokemon is being tested for banning (either from OU into Ubers or UU into BL), the suspect metagame opens. Standard and suspect contrast only with the banned Pokemon. Let's look at Salamence, the current example. In the STANDARD metagame, he is alright to use. In the SUSPECT metagame, because he is being tested for brokenness, he is considered Uber. People play both metagames and look at key differences to determine whether 'Mence is Uber or not.
