=O nice.

Well I found that they had arrived by the time I got home yesterday woohoo (he was coming around when I was leaving for my voluntary job anyhow). I like the graphics, not a fan of Castelia City though I find it far too large than the normal large pokemon towns (Like Goldenrod, and Saffron)

My team isn't doing as great as I'd hoped, but I beat the first 2 gyms far too easily for my tastes. I mean Watchog didn't even use Retaliate straight after Herdier fainted...reducing its power.

I worked out my entire team in advance and coordinated exactly where to catch them. You went through it ASAP, but I have a cautionary tale regarding such matters. When I played Pearl, I was a newbie to it (I hadn't played a Pokemon game in such a long time I wasn't sure what to do). So I just caught as many as I could and trained my starter up to a very high level, leaving much of my other team members at a barely sufficient level. I caught lots of Pokemon and filled four boxes quickly. I spent 200 hours on the game before I won. It took about eight months, but it was worth it (including a month-long period when I lost it). I had so much fun, and it cemented D/P in the nostalgia lobe of my brain. When I bought Platinum, I caught only six Pokemon and trained them all to around the same level. It was boring and as my playthrough of Pearl had put the Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors format firmly in my mind I would often do gyms with only one Pokemon. This meant that that Pokemon would be high in level above the others and the others would not be of a sufficient level to battle the next gym they needed to. My weakness was I hadn't caught enough Pokemon - I dodged trainers too much to train the ones I already had. With Pearl, I had had many hangers on - I used a Cascoon for Gyms 2 & 3, a Ponyta and a Girafarig for Gyms 4 & 5 and a Luxray for Gyms 6 & 7. I had a couple of team members that were always there, like Infernape, but the other four spots interchanged a lot.

I intend to replicate this in Black. I used Rogenroll for a while, Woobat for a while, Lillipup for while, Pidove etc. I want to have two solid back-up members waiting in the Pokemon Center, kind of like substitutes in a Rugby match. I hope to have Roobushin and Gigalith as subs.

Famitsu (who are notoriously critical) gave it a perfect 40/40. That's better than both Super Mario Galaxy games.

Yeah, I read that, which is quite good to hear. After all, you can't spell ignorant without IGN.

Edit: Damn Europeans I gotta wait till tomorrow... >.>

What I'm probably going to do is play up until I have access to a Pokemon Center and a PokeMart, let the game gather dust, getting all WiFi events that I possibly can during that time, and start actually playing the game when I get the 3DS.

I don't want to play a third Pokemon game on my DS; two is more than enough.

Will someone help me with those movesets?

Problem with making move sets for in game teams, is you have a lot more limits placed on you since you don't get to breed, don't have many TMs, and you don't have access to all your moves.

If you want some advice look on smogon. Side from that a rule of thumb is to not double on move types. For example if your pokemon already has a Fire move, don't give it another.

Also, it just hit me that I should look at how fast I can get the pokemon for my Water team. From what I've found I don't get them till half way, side from Mr. Mole. This should be a fun play through since I'll only have a few pokemon for the first half and I've never done that before.
