They severe the same basic concept that the Eeveelutions do. They all have the same base stat total, all elemental creature, beat on of the starter types, and evolve via a stone. They are also in game event pokemon.

I'm willing to bet a normal prevo isn't as likely, just 'cause. Eevee started out as having evolutions, so it's unlikely they'd do that.

Yes, useful ability, especially if you want to catch wild pokemon that run away a lot. I should level up my Wobbuffet.

i remember having 6 wobuffet to catch a latios and latias XD on R/S respectfully They could never beat the 1st one XD though catching them was still a pain <.<

 

And even if you cant get the DW shandera you still get flash fire giving him an immunity to fire (not that someone would be dumb enough to try to use a fire attack on a fire pokemon)

Because you will switch in on a fire move you know is coming.

 

FYI, Shadow Tag is much to strong an ability since it kills one of the main things about pokemon, switching.

One cannot run away in a Trainer Battle nor in a WiFi Battle (and I doubt Shadow Tag prevents the "RUN" option that is used to forfeit a match), so Shadow Tag's only use is to prevent switching.

 

It's a lot less annoying to deal with Shadow Tag over WiFi than it is to deal with it in Cerulean Cave when you are underleveled just trying to get to damn Mewtwo, but can't run away from a Level 74 or 64 or something Wobbufett that just sucks ass.

What I mean is that Shadow Tag can help you catch any wild legendary pokemon that runs off, unless they know Roar. Latios and Latias are perfect examples of Pokemon that can't run if you have a pokemon with Shadow Tag.

What? I actually happen to enjoy some aspects of Pokemon besides competitive battling.

There are easier and more obvious ways to catch runners, and while I agree that Pokemon is more than just competitive battling, that doesn't mean we are required to discuss something as stupid as Shadow Tagging running Pokemon, something we should all know from playing RSE.

 

Personally I prefer using Block + Spore Smeargle, but that's just because Wobbufett can only help if you've hurt the legend, since Wobbufett cannot attack.
