Where's the starter? If you don't use a starter, use shanderaa. It has a base of 145 sp.Atk ONONOKUSU has that much ATK.

Well, my team as of now is horribly unbalanced in terms of weakness, but it is:

It is only good against N when he battles with Ying or Yang, respectively. It is quite pointless.

Powerwise, it's essentially an Special Attack elemental Earthquake...

Except for the fact that Cross Flame and Cross Thunder are only used as 150 Power STAB moves and for nothing else....

 

Anyways, I'm having a really hard time trying to catch Boltros...

(I've caught nearly every other non-event Legendary: Terakion, Birijion, Kobarion, Kyuremu, etc.)

Problem with him is he takes a long time to get to his final form. Also, I think you only get him near games end. I might be wrong on that one though.

I changed my mind. I'm going to buy Black and start with Mijumaru.

 

My team will probably be something like Daikenki, Shandera, Oobemu/Shinbora (both of them look so badass), Kirikizan, Ononokus/Sazandra and Pendra.

 

I go entirely by looks when building my team since my Wi-Fi isn't really working. I may need to work a good Grass guy in there too.

I don't really have set in-game team, I always have a tradition of picking my starter and getting whatever else helps me in-game. Competitive isn't even an option yet since we can only speculate the tiers, and we don't know much about the Egg Moves and Ability-breeding of this gen.

And i know i am not using the soon to be the most overused pokemon in the game(the dragons and chandler)

I am getting white so :P i like zekrom and dont give flying monkey about the exclusives except zekrom

 

and i am going to use all 3 starters in 3 different runs to decide which one i like more. Not going off what ppl say

I chose White over Black because I prefer Iris over an old man. Zekrom was just a side effect.

Says Bulbapedia: "Cross Flame inflicts damage at the opponent. If the opponent knows Cross Thunder, it will automatically use that move on the Cross Flame user, which will increase the base power of Cross Flame. However, the user will then be incapable of using any other move besides Cross Flame, unless the user is switched out, the opponent is unable to use Cross Thunder, or one of the two battlers faint."

 

So if the respective users meet in battle... attack lock?

 

On the subject of Legendary Dragons, perhaps the Dragon/Ice will gain a different Ability in the (possible?) third version, most likely from the new and improved Dream World. And maybe it won't be something lame. Also, I like that the starters can now have alternate abilities.

Well, it's been proven that there is no such lock. In fact, I've tried it, and you can use moves freely, even if your opponent is using the counterpart of your dragon.

 

On another note, Kyurem will probably be the mascot of the 3rd game (I just caught a Modest one the other day :)). In addition, if it follows the trend of Platinum, it might come back with a new form (though I'm not too fond of the Dream World, since it requires the use of the computer).
