I don't get why people don't like the Legendaries. Of the 156 pokemon only 12 or Legendaries. That isn't much.

 

Any way, try to use spoilers from now on.

I think they saw that we've had no Fighting type Legendaries and decided to go over board.

 

 

And this all might not be true, but still, more info is nice.

 

And this info doesn't need spoilers. The Isshu region is based on New York. Seeing as how I live there, this is really cool.

PokeBeach isn't done translating the interviews yet, but Bulbapedia claims that Sugimori says this at the end of the interview:

 

I worried about it for a while, and I eventually went to go see the sea otters at the aquarium. I happened to catch the sea lion show while I was there, and I became aware of the sea lion's power. "Well, let's try blending a sea otter and a sea lion," I thought. I came up with the idea of making the shell on Mijumaru's stomach into a sword (katana) and using it to fight, and that's how I completed Mijumaru and its evolution."

 

I know you guys don't like "unconfirmed" data, but everyone was discussing the fake starter evolutions TWICE over the last several pages as if they were real.

152 to 251 (100)

 

252 to 386 (135)

 

387 to 493 (107)

 

494 to 649 (156)

 

633 to 635 are a Dark/Dragon evolution chain.

 

The likely non-main trio will be Steel/Rock/Grass, all with Fighting-sub-types.

 

Pure effing Flying legendary.

 

Reshiram is Dragon/Fire, Zekrom is Dragon/Electric, and the third is most likely 646, which is Dragon/Ice.

 

648 is Normal/Psychic.

 

I am looking forward to this game soooo badly. D:

Your right. Still less then the number we had last gen. Also it doesn't really need a spoiler since we've known about it for a while now.

 

I think we don't care if t's unconfirmed or not. We just want some news because of how under raps this game has been. Also the fact that Mijumaru s based around Japanese imagery it having a sword wouldn't be THAT odd for what they were going for.

I just noticed. Apart from the Dragon's and the ONLY FLYING(!) legendaries, all the other type combo's have been done before. Not exactly the greatest thing ever. I was wishing for something different. Like a Water/Fire or at least the legendary trio being in a type triangle other than the starter one, eg Rock/Steel/Fighting.

Forgot about the Psychic/Fire but those others have been done before. I was saying that the general type combo has been done.

 

Water/Fighting = Poliwrath

Bug/Steel = Scizor

 

So that's, what, five unique typings and only two don't have dragon. What I really want is a Dragon pokémon that isn't legendary or pseudo-legendary. There needs to be a common Dragon Type.

To add to the list the trio is a new combo for each. And the trio is a new combo. Hell, all of the types you said are part of the trio. Also the Normal/Psychic is new too. Counting the 3 dragons, the flying type, the trio, and the two Psychic, 9 of the 13 new legendaries are new combos.
