Okay, was going to choose cute lil' Wotter but its weird unicorn final evo has put me off. I'm now choosing Smugleaf, last evo not as epic as I hoped for. And for Pokabu's evos, way too similar to Infernape. They have a Chinese theme going on here, kinda Journey to the West. Chimchar's line was inspired by the chinese story, I'm guessing this starter is too.

Final evo of Tsutarja looks grass Dragon to me, Mijumaru's final evo looks kinda stupid and water ice, and Pokabu's final evo, a discrace. I was hoping it would be something cooer for types, and again these are unconfirmed. I'm just wishing Pokabu's evolutions are fake, I don't care for the others. I think if those evo's are true, I'm choosing Tsutarja.

IMO Water's final form looks badass. The pig's is more of a let down.

Yeah, but there's still the fact that the Water and Grass starter evolve into basically a more matured version of themselves, then turn into something completely different. It's like:

 

Grass and Water: Kid -> A little older kid -> Adulthood

 

Fire: Little kid -> Adulthood -> BEAST

 

There's just... so much of a gap! DX

The third game shall be called either something that would very obviously fit in (POKEMANZ GREY, DURR HURR) or something that wouldn't fit in at all (POKEMANZ IRON). I mean, in Gen 3 I can see Emerald fitting in with Ruby and Sapphire, but Gen 2... crystal with gold and silver? Hell happened to bronze?

 

And, well, the Pokemon are somewhat good.... but most look like digimon with severe mental and physical handicaps.

So, this is how I see it, in order from worst to best.

 

Fire Starter

 

Cute pig --> Ugly pig --> Ugly ???

 

Grass Starter

 

Weird, British thing --> Taller, British thing --> Bad-ass Dragon

 

Water Starter

 

Awesome otter --> idk --> Bad-ass

 

It's not really descriptive, but I think the Water Starter's final form is the best of the three. Although if Tsutaja's evo has a Dragon-type sub-type... nah, Wotter is cooler. <3

So I just counted and we have seen a lot more new pokemon then I thought.

 

Counting the ones that we have poor images of we know of close to 50 pokemon.

Pokabu's supposed final evo looked more like a pure Fire to me. I don't see where everyone pulled the fighting-type part out of, except the middle form. The final form doesn't look the part at all, so it could really just be that middle form that's fighting-type...

 

Honestly, the other two look like they're just purely their original type. Grass/Dragon does seem like a possibility though... And that would make me pity anyone who chooses it if there's an Ice gym.

If said Ice Gym is placed early enough...

 

In any case, the final form still doesn't scream "FIGHTING-TYPE!" at me. It doesn't look the part at all... Besides, they could easily make it the second Pokemon to lose a type by evolving. Bellossom was the first.
