I don't think there are set tiers for Doubles, since in the VGC they set the Pokemon you can't use, and rarely anyone plays Doubles competitively. But I'm fairly sure they are roughly the same, with minute tier changes to accomodate the 2v2 metagame.

 

Electrode is fast, yes, and can explode, yes, but can't do a thing else. You can't pack a team of 2 Electrode and 4 Ghosts and expect to win all the time. :/

People spam Protect in doubles, probably only more so in triples. Pretty much making some stupid Explosion strategy ineffective.

 

Priority is also a big think in doubles (especially Fake Out), probably so you can screw with and take down threats before they get to make their move. Explosion will be common in tripples for sure but building a team around something everyone with any sense will prepare for is kinda stupid.

Lanturn needs an evo more. As does Heracross. I also want Breloom to get one just so it can be made uber.

Wait, that isn't new. Well, we did get more info on it. It's legendary and is number 000 in the new pokedex. It's name is Victini and it's a Wifi pokemon.

Lanturn evo yes. <3 Heracross and Breloom would probably be Uber, Breloom definitely.

 

New legend = Normal/Psychic or Flying/Psychic?

I don't like the idea of a #000 in the dex, as that might cause some hex coding issues, although most likely not. The name sounds cool, and it's not really a WiFi Pokemon. It's more like Darkrai, where you get an item to capture it yourself.

Nope; this is the first 000 in the Pokemon universe.

If it is being compared to Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi, it is most likely Psychic. I don't remember if Serebii compared it to Manaphy/Shaymin, though.

 

But I hope it's not Psychic. If it is, Dragon/Psychic would make me jizz, although that would just create an even more Dragon-based metagame.

I agree on Breloom going uber (that's why I want it), but Hera has been falling from Ou all gen so he needs a boost. Not much, just some more speed and a better ability to take some hits.

Breloom would be Uber if it had the tiniest bit of bulk and 101 Base Speed. Easily.

 

Heracross won't go Uber with an evo, but really wants to move up in the spectrum of the metagame. Seriously, no one cares about him anymore. D':

 

Absol just wants 30 or 40 more Base Speed and that's it. OU status. Think about it; it can deal with any Ghost or Psychic-type via Night Slash. It has SD, Sucker Punch, Psycho Cut, Superpower, and a bunch of other crap.
