Look at gligar compared to dunsparce. Very different looking.

Nintendo must have something planned for them as dunsparce looks very similiar to gligar' date=' especially the tail and fangs! [b']They are not going to have an already existing Pokémon evolve into another already existing Pokémon.[/b]

Guess what! They are located right next to each other on the pokedex. Suspicious? Of course it is! This is your biggest flaw. Using that logic, Bulbasaur will evolve through every single Pokémon and end up at Arceus, and then continue on down that path in the 5th generation as well.

dunsparce should evolve into gligar

No. Dunsparce needs to evolve into something good. It will have it's own line if it ever evolves.

Its too LATE!!! Nintendo made it look too similar to gligar. Look at the pokedex and compare the 2. I know. They're very different looking. You're just losing this argument more and more.

Oh, and by the way, what animal is like a Ditto? Nothing. Your new type combonation arguments are now invalid.

They should make:

Ice/Steel

Ice/Poison

Bug/Fire

Bug/Ice

Ghost/Steel

Fighting/Electric

Grass/Ghost

And a Dunsparce evolution can only be Normal/Dragon. If someone disagrees' date=' there should be a vote.

[i']And i dont see how bug and fire would go together.[/i]

O jeez! I totally disagree and am tired of argueing about it.... read my previous posts on this page

You should alter your text when speaking inside a quote so it doesn't look like you're trying to put words in my mouth. That being said, how could you not see Bug and Fire going together? What about Water/Electric, Grass/Ice, and Ground/Flying? Do those make anymore sense? Are you telling me a firefly Pokemon would be illogical compared to those other combinations?

And about Dunsparce... You think it shouldn't evolve, or that it shouldn't be Normal/Dragon? You haven't really made your stance that clear.

EDIT: Okay, now I see. You were just spouting craziness. Dunsparce evolving into a pre-existing, unrelated Pokemon. Really? Why? How? It makes no sense.

tunerwizard150: Well, they look quite similiar and are right next to each other on pokedex. However, if you are right then... Nintendo was quite screwy w/dunsparce's appearance.

Examples of why some types work unlike fire and bug- there is no one animal on earth that could possibly represent one like so these though do indeed rep poke types:

elec/water:jellyfish emit elecric energy waves to emit light

grnd/fly: tell me 1 bird that doesnt walk

grass/ice: trees do survive in the snow!

Sand fly.

a sand fly is a bug...is it not? birds cannot fly forever is what i mean

It dont have to be a bug. Or its Evo. could be ground and flying.

Tunerwizard150: I wasnt saying that dunsparce was a bug, my fault

As I said before. Fire-fly. Volbeat/Illumise could easily be allowed to evolve into a new Bug/Electric or Bug/Fire type, based on which one you evolve. And don't try to get too technical about the Fire type, because I'm pretty sure there are no horses/dogs/camels that can be aflame and touch molten rocks with no injuries.

I still don't understand your idea that Dunsparce should evolve into Gligar. That would basically retcon Dunsparce into a pre-evolution position, and it wouldn't help him out at all. Bulbapedia says that Dunsparce is based off the Tsuchinoko, a Japanese mythical snake-like creature. Its own Pokedex entry classifies its species as a "Land Snake Pokemon". Its Japanese name: Nokocchi. Tsuchinoko -> Nokocchi makes obvious sense. Snake into bat/scorpion thing... not so much. The naming convention doesn't work at all.

Anyone here can tell you they look similiar so stop arguing and get on with it. OK!? IDK why nintendo did what they did!

Just accept the fact that you've lost this argument. We've provided reasonable explanations and reasonings as to why the Dunsparce into Gligar thing isn't going to happen and that the type combos peoples have suggested are perfectly valid.

Dunsparce is probly the idea for Skorpi or w/e its name is

They're not going to be related. A scorpion has nothing to do with a mythical sand snake god thing.

NEW reply line here!

Everyone must remember that new ways to evolve are introduced with each gen. Such as' date=' oval, dusk, dawn, and the special rocks you have to go to for glaceon and leafeon.

Therefore, you can conclude that dunsparce could go through the same changes.

[/quote']

It could. But i doubt it.

Nobody ever denied that. But it will not evolve into an already existing Pokémon. Did those new ways of evolution have Pokémon evolve into pre-existing Pokémon? No. Your argument is still invalid.

Tunerwizard150: You never know! Nintendo always has last resort ideas. For example, pachirisu-Will it evolve??? You will have to buy the next game and thats what they want to do to us!

Fire-Bug is an over-exaggerated way of saying that a water-fire pokemon would make sense!

It would.

I remember a Yugioh card that is a fire plant in water. It was a union.

Now' date=' A fire bug would be either a fire fly or a fire ant.

[/quote']

See:This makes much more sense!

Dunsparce being similar to a Feathered Serpent... A Feathered Serpent is pretty much a dragon. If they were to keep Dunsparce fresh and evolve him, they would make him Normal/Dragon. It doesn't get any more logical than that. Of course, it is very possible (perhaps even likely) that it won't do down like that. Who knows what Nintendo has thought up; they gave us Luvdisc.

And a Flying/Rock made sense?

In poke terms: Flying nor rock are supereffective to each other!

Rock is supereffective to Flying.

EDIT: There is also Flying/Electric. And guess what. Electric is also supereffective against Flying.

Tunerwizard150:Im trying to say that a new method of evololution may be used on dunsparce that wasn't available in none of the older regions just like in other regions.....EX.why cant evee evolve into glaceon in the kanto region(new method of evolution),Ex.why cant you breed a happiny in gold/silver/krystal but you can in the sinnoh. Evolutions leave us hanging with these ideas!
